So, what do you want to talk about?

Well I recently remade a character for my novel, system failure, his name is Julien Genet!

He's a Terlun, a species of human descendents evolved somewhat artificially to live at high altitudes on cliffs and mountains of a fairly cold planet with a fairly thin atmosphere. They have larger lungs, more effective hemoglobin, and are generally smaller than the modern day human— alongside having darker skin for more UV resistance, and (originally genetically modified) tails, ears and feet.

Terlun come from a former human colony world that cut contact a Very, Very long time ago, and was considered lost. They, and the other species from their planet, no longer remember humanity or their origins due to the decision to start over completely, and they haven't yet achieved interstellar travel by the time Julien Genet is born. They have short range travel, but are generally fairly decentralized, but the interstellar age has evaded them.

Julien Genet is a Terlun doctor incapable of dying. System failure is a mix of scifi and fantasy, there's some Bullshit Science magic and there's some just magic magic and some other BS science because I might as well have fun with it. And Julien Genet has the Bullshit Magic power of healing to a degree of insanity. He cannot die, he can heal other people, etc. but to do so, he puts himself in EXCRUCIATING physical pain, even when healing others.

When he's 15, he drowns for three months and washes up at an illegal fishery, finds an ancient, human era robot named 3th3L and accidentally kick-starts the interstellar age.

Gonna go with my main 3 characters, because they're who I've been thinking about on loop for ages now.

13. Describe your character's typical wardrobe for a regular day

Well! For Julien Genet,

Usually a fur... Something? And the equivalent of like. A wrap-skirt/cargo pants thing, plus knee braces. You can see it on the left page in the second photo.

3th3l wears a Lot of button up shirts and military surplus.

Olu Arrabella wears some combination of lab coat and skintight clothing underneath, usually something not lab-appropriate. Usually black. The lab coat is omnipresent.

10. What kind of jokes make them laugh?

Julien makes really, really bad puns and laughs at dad jokes, anything silly and lighthearted, really.

3th3l does not laugh at jokes. This is a lie. It will laugh at Julien Genet every single time. and at other machines failing to do their jobs.

Olu laughs at physical comedy a Lot.

7. Are they a naturally assertive person or are they painfully shy?

Julien can be assertive but usually he puts himself more into the background, but if people are pulling bullshit he'll take over. He does that a lot for the other two, who are Not good at sharing any sort of power.

Olu and 3th3l are both extreme control freaks. They hate each other.

update: possibly ‘well i have four [indecipherable] in me’ which is uhhhhh much worse
