if we're going down the list of bad dsmp takes, i think the absolute worst one, the one that truly makes no sense and borders on disrespectful, the one that had me fighting in trenches was: the syndicate aren't friends.
as if the birthday party and all the bonding meant nothing. the mentorship, the careful way techno approached niki, everything about them spoke of people who cared about each other.
not to mention that we know what the cc's intended, that real life issues got in the way of most of the streams that were planned, but even without that, we saw it. we saw these characters come together.
and at the end of it all, they're together and happy because they're friends, they care about each other. no one can deny that.

Ok but come on guys the real girlboss era for c!Niki was Manberg idc what you say. That girl was slaying during Manberg, she was standing up to tyranny and being LOUD about it too. Everyone else in Manberg rebelled from the shadows but Niki Nihachu made a scene about it and I love her for that.
The girlboss Niki is NOT the one who was lost, broken, desperate and lonely, clinging to ideas of revenge because she had nothing else to cling to. Taking out all her anger on the wrong people. There was nothing about her pain that was cool.
Niki was always a girlboss because she cared. And because she lived by the ideology of words over weapons that the country she loved stood for. The disillusioned version of her who didn’t know what to believe in and was too exhausted to love things was not a girlboss.
The story of the dream smp valued attachment and post-pogtopia Niki did not have any, and it made her vulnerable.
She started girlbossing again when she started baking again. Btw.

Psychics Developed Their Abilities Through Alien DNA
Tumblr media
I found it fascinating that all the characters in The X-Files with psychic ability developed it because of their existential brushes with death (post here.) But how does the existence of Luther Lee Boggs and Clyde Bruckman and John Lee Roche (and Dana Scully) correlate with their antithesis Gibson Praise? Yea, further, what does it mean for someone like Mulder-- a man with an incredibly low threshold for psychic abilities (ironic, I know) to be given and stripped of that ability because of an alien artifact and hacksawed brain surgery?
In short, the answer connecting all these dots is, simply, the alien genome existing, dormant, in every single human being on that planet.
Alien DNA and Psychic Ability
Tumblr media
The show went out of its way to hammer home that humans have been inoculated with and against the alien virus since the first spaceship touchdown; but it also decided (halfway through the show) that all the inhabitants of the planet were-- and had been, and would be-- born with alien DNA. Because the original inhabitants were alien in nature, their genomes trickled down to humans; and that alien-human gene is what the alien overlords planned to exploit when they invaded and colonized Earth.
The Consortium, it seems, decided that the key to their species' survival was in the creation of apex humanity, taking in mad scientists post WWII to graft men with bugs (Travellers), rip the ability to sleep from soldiers' brains (Sleepless), and create different types of clones from alien fetal tissue with differing levels of success (Eve, Colony-Endgame, Memento Mori, etc.) Those experiments having largely failed, they theorized it would be easiest to start from the ground up: extracting and experimenting with ova before adding sperm and "allowing" them to grow into functioning clones or more, sadly, malfunctioning humans.
Then, a discovery: Gibson Praise, born with abilities far beyond what had been created or developed and completely without interference, was lauded as the breakthrough they needed; and coveted, captured, and traded by every faction, good or evil, under the sun.
Gibson Praise and the Keys to Everything
Tumblr media
Gibson was now established as the undeniable link between mankind, psychic ability, and the alien genome. Born "flawless" and functioning independently and autonomously without the need for special medications to keep his system afloat, the Syndicate considered him the lucky culmination of what they had been working to achieve, unsuccessfully, for decades-- the backbone upon which they could rest their future research and projects. Knowing this, the powers-that-be captured him and cut his brain open in an attempt to replicate his genius. Without luck.
Why did the Consortium capture and study Gibson Praise instead of the countless other psychics running amok around their world? The Syndicate has been shown to capture and study new advances in science; and that allows the viewers to infer psychics are either a dime-a-dozen or old hat; and, either way, are of no current interest or use to the Organization. It would probably have been a waste of time and resources to pursue and test every single one; and, besides, the link between their abilities and their sleeper DNA hadn't been proven before. Gibson, meanwhile, was a unicorn-- the direct link they'd been seeking-- and imperative to their research and ambitions.
But: Gibson Praise, the first key to everything, failed them.
Tumblr media
On the tail end of that disappointment, Cassandra Spender popped back down from a UFO completely and miraculously healed. The Syndicate saw this as their new key to everything-- she'd been grafted with alien DNA, enough to correct whatever physical and neurological damage had been done to her body; and was a walking, talking example of different side project that had, also, not gotten off the ground. Perhaps no one could be bred and born like Gibson; but they could-- as the Consortium hoped-- be grafted in.
Tumblr media
But: Cassandra Spender, the second key to everything, went up with the Consortium like a puff of smoke.
However, fate had not run out of keys to everything; and threw one last insane (almost literally) trick at the wall to see if it would stick.
Biogenesis, the Lynch Pin
Tumblr media
When Biogenesis Mulder touched the literal key to everything-- an alien artifact-- it unlocked psychic potential so vast that his brain lit on fire and his body shut down. (It should also have infected Scully as well, see post here.) Mulder's catatonic state demonstrated how powerful the alien genome could potentially be if activated in the human body-- too powerful for the human body--and proved, once and for all, that psychic ability was caused by alien DNA: not only was he able to read the cue cards from Skinner's mind, but also predict them, divining peoples' actions and motives before they'd unfolded in the present. Not even Gibson Praise was this powerful, having only the ability to telepathically read minds. Mulder, meanwhile, had a mixture of everyone's psychic ability-- telepathy (Biogenesis) and psychic prediction (The Sixth Extinction) and mental projection (also The Sixth Extinction, but implied rather than overtly stated in Scully's poetic monologues.)
When CSM cut that section out of Mulder's brain (I know, I know) and put it into his own (I know, I know), Mulder was freed from the advanced development and destabilization of his mind... and also, his alien DNA was, theoretically, removed from his brain.
Tumblr media
Which had huge implications for the series... and was never touched on again.
But what was touched on, and is of vast importance? Even after Mulder's "psychic sector" was removed, he was still caught up in psychic projections, a reoccurring pattern between he and his partner since S2's Ascension (and culminating in This Is Not Happening.) This leads us to one conclusion: throughout the series, it was not Mulder who was creating or projecting these psychic scenarios; leaving only one other person as the culprit-- Scully.
Dana Scully, the Psychic
Tumblr media
How do we know Mulder isn't the more psychically inclined one in his and Scully's partnership? Well, the experiences he shares with her are only remembered by one party-- Scully-- and begin during her capture in Ascension. In Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, Mulder asked layman questions in an attempt to navigate the parameters of psychic ability; and furthermore, Paper Hearts left him confused, discombobulated, and unnerved in the face of John Lee Roche's psychic projections. He is an incredibly intelligent, bright man with insane profiling abilities far beyond his peers and teachers and superiors; but psychic, Mulder seems not to be.
How does this prove that she, not Mulder, is the psychic in the X-Files partnership? In each and every supernatural situation shared between them, Scully was the only one who remembered the incidences: Mulder either wrote them off as his tortured imaginings (Ascension) or didn't recall them at all (The Blessing Way, Within, This Is Not Happening, etc.) Not only that, but she often brushed up against paranormal or supernatural spirits or angels with personal please and warnings as far back as Season 1 (post here and here.)
Tumblr media
As touched on in an aforementioned post, she, like Luthor Lee Boggs and Clyde Bruckman and Harold Spuller, sees dead people; and like Boggs, Bruckman, and Spuller, Scully developed that ability through a close connection with death (or the death of someone close to her): specifically, her father's in Beyond the Sea.
An important note: it's not a surprise that psychic phenomenon is awakened around or in the aftermath of death: human history records how death has so touched and punctuated the human spirit that it drives humanity to seek answers or presences or enlightenment or anything "greater" than themselves with cyclical regularity; but it's interesting that-- without meaning to, I'm certain-- this show taps into that shared experience and transforms it into a gateway to human consciousness, an ability to bring forth something greater from the deep recesses of an unconscious or subconscious mind and into the reality of the tangible world.
Tumblr media
Scully is not the only member of her family to be psychically in-tune, either: Maggie's dream predated her daughter's gnarly abduction and death (Ascension); and Melissa's sixth sense tried to buoy Mulder's (One Breath) and her sister's spirit (The Blessing Way deleted scene, post here) during dark, hopeless hours.
Tumblr media
But Scully is not your ordinary Scully, or even an ordinary psychic: her abduction played a significant role not only in her life but also in the mytharc; and, more imperatively, in connection with Gibson Praise.
Mytharc Tie-Ins: Alien Spaceships, Healing, and William
Tumblr media
The Consortium, as we established, wanted to create a superior race to combat the impending alien invasion. Their previous experiments on fully developed humans having failed, they decided to start from the ground up: ova. Thus, they started capturing women-- who would later create MUFON and its European chapters, kept in check by the Syndicate via Diana Fowley-- to experiment on; extract and store their ova; and return them, chipped for further use. Most ova experiments created more clones without any extra enhancements; and most women were returned infertile but largely unharmed. The only woman we know of who was returned on the brink of death (and survived) was Scully, meaning her testing was so severe that, without CSM's interference, she would have died in a government lab and been discarded as medical waste.
And, ironically, coincidentally, indubitably, the very women the Consortium kept trying to kill over and over-- via capture, cancer, or alien incubation virus-- was the same woman who restored her own fertility via an alien spaceship; and (post Season 7) gave birth to a son who (post Season 8) was born with powers even stronger than Gibson Praise's.
How do we know Scully's fertility was restored by the alien spaceship and not by CSM machinations or any other miraculous intervention?
Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz admitted they liberally hinted at Scully's pregnancy throughout Season 7: the family planning book in The Sixth Extinction and the boy on the beach (post here and here.) Though the latter fit as Mulder's reconnection with his inner child, it also served as the writers' jumping off point for more (however badly executed or ill-advised.)
And when does the boy on the beach start appearing to Mulder? After Scully touched the hull of the spaceship in Biogenesis.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Furthermore, En Ami was written by William B. Davis after CC and Spotnitz had laid down their grand plans for the finale. Carter saw this as another opportunity to obscure Wiliam's paternity-- setting up another mystery to tease as long as possible-- and changed up Davis's script accordingly (post here and here.)
If you choose to pursue canon after Season 8-- which I don't-- then William is the next "organically" born Gibson Praise but with far greater abilities. Is this because of an extra "oomph" from the spaceship, or because of Scully and Mulder's genetic tampering via sundry Consortium experiments?
The most likely explanation is the spaceship, since many other abductees have been experimented on, returned, and created families of their own without any noteworthy changes to their offspring. Realistically, William was created by the showrunners to be a completely ordinary miracle for Scully and Mulder-- Mulder's lines in Existence ("...maybe he isn't what they thought he was. That doesn't make him any less of a miracle, does it?") served as the period to the sentence of the series; and was written before there was definitive confirmation for Season 9 and without the "magic child" plotline put into place-- but, canonically, he is a wee baby with incredibly advanced, out-of-this-world powers that will eventually grow into a psychopathic-- excuse me, floundering-- teenager. This draws us back to the alien ship as the origin of life: healing not only that dead fish but also Scully's reproductive inability; and laying the groundwork for little William's enhanced abilities.
How the Syndicate Shot Themselves in the Foot (Again)
Tumblr media
An interesting note on the shadow project and genetic tampering: I believe the Syndicate hindered the ova's viability because of the tests they put the women through before extraction, changing both mother and child's DNA so much so that the eggs and resulting fetus could not-- barring medical assistance-- successfully thrive if grown outside of their mothers' bodies.
How can I back up this theory? With Season 8's Per Manum and Essence.
Dr. Parenti and his narrowed cohorts found that he could grow alien-human fetuses to full term in a woman's womb with better results; and began using his clients as hosts, swapping the alien fetus at birth with their own (test-tube grown) "normal" baby. He then ruthlessly harvested or killed them in various developmental stages, preserving their remains in jars for future testing; and, of course, carefully disguised his unethical practice as above-board research into fetal deformities.
Tumblr media
Why does this matter? It means Parenti and his merry men of Syndicate leftovers are the only ones-- that we know of-- who could bring alien-human or strictly alien fetuses to term without genetic "padding", cloning, or lifelong medical intervention to keep them from destabilizing. Furthermore, the women he selected for IVF treatments were former abductees who had a history of infertility; meaning, he specialized in creating babies for and out of women with tampered genetics that the Consortium cast aside as useless garbage.
The Consortium had unwittingly created the perfect hosts for their enhanced ova but failed to recognize this; and, instead, used their abductees as chattel, or killed them off when they were deemed no longer useful.
In short, they failed. Again.
In Conclusion
Tumblr media
The mytharc may be a mess; but at least it stirs together psychic ability and alien DNA in a sort-of edible hodgepodge.
For canon deniers post Season 7, psychic ability is still tied to Gibson Praise and humanity's inherent alien DNA; for canon deniers post Season 8, Scully's fertility is still "fixed" by the alien spaceship; and for all-canon viewers, William's powers are still enhanced because the alien spaceship intensified his preexisting alien DNA.
Was any of this intended by the writers? No, probably not.
Does it make sense in the grand scheme of things? Perhaps.
At any rate, this is the most coherent the mytharc has been in a while; and I'll take it.
Thanks for reading~
Enjoy!

Hey who wants an essay about obscure Batman villains no one cares about
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Recently I've read two arcs of different Batman comics that introduced similar villains with similar theming.
Batman and Robin (2011) #10 through #12 introduces Terminus (left) and his gang of Bat-Freaks, a team of ordinary criminals who have suffered at the hands of Batman and plan to smear his name in revenge. Terminus, their leader, is a sci-fi body horror effigy of a man, whose identity and reasons for hating Batman go unexplained.
Meanwhile, Detective Comics (2016) #943-947 introduces the Victim Syndicate, a team of former hostages to Batman's villains whom he failed to save. They are led by the First Victim (right), a mysterious BDSM freak covered in the literal blood that is metaphorically on Batman's hands. He claims he was the first person who Batman failed to save, but again, the details and his identity go unexplained.
The Terminus gang and the Victim Syndicate are both, in concept, a really interesting bunch to me. The concept of Batman "creating" his villains has already been widely explored, but these cases feel grounded in a way I find refreshing. They have none of the larger-than-life mystique of Joker or Two-Face, they're just ordinary people lashing out at the symbol that has failed them.
Tumblr media
The problem is in the implementation of both groups. The members of the Victim Syndicate are just kind of weird, and not in a good way. Characters like the Noxious Man and Mudface have potential in isolation, but in the wider Batman lore they just feel like diet versions of the established villains who created them. Some of them have potential to be explored. The idea of following a long-term Poison Ivy thrall is legitimately intriguing, and the Victim Syndicate arc wrings a lot out of Mudface's emotional history with Clayface. But it bothers me that these people have somehow gained superpowers from the villains’ attacks. Why did Noxious Man and Mute gain powers from their chemical weapon exposure when none of the thousands of other victims have? How do you explain Mudface's powers without making it completely contrived (Clayface just happened to have the same chemicals that created him on hand)? It takes me out of what is otherwise a really interesting gang of characters.
Tumblr media
Terminus' gang, despite not having a proper team name, has a much stronger concept direction. Bootface, Bat-Head, and Scallop all have distinct, recognizable designs that the Victim Syndicate doesn't match, though Smush and… unnamed rope guy… are a little goofy. Their backstories are all much more grounded as well. In fact I admire how the first issue they appear in sets them up in so few panels. All of these people were criminals already, and now they're blaming Batman for the consequences of their actions (more on the implications of that in a bit). But again, there are no grand Joker schemes here. Terminus' gang tries to smear Batman's reputation by branding people with the bat symbol. It's brutal, it's messy, it's ordinary people lashing out, and it is delicious. It definitely outdoes the Victim Syndicate’s initial plan, which seems to be undefined beyond targeted mayhem (although teaming up the First Victim with Anarky to make a social movement against Batman is an inspired choice, as is the later falling out between the two over the Victim’s lack of true sympathy).
And that brings us to the respective leaders of the two gangs, Terminus and the First Victim. Unlike their lackeys, these characters do hold that larger-than-life supervillain quality, but the First Victim executes on it much more effectively than Terminus. Neither of them ever actually explain their beef with Batman, and I think that ambiguity is good, but Terminus just feels implausible. Why is a supervillain with access to mech suits and missiles teaming up with frickin Bootface? I’ve already talked about how the actions of Terminus’ gang are brutal and crude, which is a large part of their appeal to me. But surely someone with the resources to make a bat-mech could do so much more. It makes not getting to find out what Terminus’ deal is feel like a failure on the part of the writing. Cool body horror though. The First Victim, on the other hand, matches the vibe of the other characters much better. His force-field is definitely in the realm of science fiction, but it feels more restrained than Terminus’ military depot clearance sale. It fits his vibe as well. Punching him accomplishes nothing, because you can’t get him out of your head, and you can’t wash the blood from your hands. And that is exactly why the First Victim is the scarier of the two. He's psychological in a way that actually feels threatening, and has palpable impacts on Batman and his family dynamics. It makes his ambiguous backstory intriguing, where Terminus' feels like a plot hole.
To tie in a common theme with Batman, it's worth examining who the writers choose to be a villain. These characters are all villains, but, well, they're also victims. The Bat-Freaks in particular are written with a tone that suggests their predicament is their own fault for being criminals in the first place. Again, Batman comics (and crime media in general) tend to ignore the legitimate grievances and brutality that drive people to crime in real life, and that aspect is on show here even more than it usually is. Comic book demonization of disability is also on full display here, with Bat-Head's comedic tics probably being the worst offender. This is a larger problem that exists far beyond these two arcs, but it's so front and center here that I can't analyze them without making note of that.
For all my criticisms of these characters and arcs, there is a lot to like here. I specifically read these arcs for the villains, but I was surprised to find a lot of well-written Bat-family content as well. The Terminus arc includes a great exploration of Damian's early insecurity within the Bat-family. If you've been on the Batfam side of Tumblr, you've probably seen the sequence where Damian steals one of Jason's helmets. That's from this arc. You may have seen the sequence where Dick gifts Damian one of his escrima sticks and points out he's already Robin, so he has nothing more to prove. That's from this arc. And in the Victim Syndicate arc, the First Victim's grievances against Batman push Stephanie, herself repeatedly victimized by Batman, to fight back and reclaim her identity as Spoiler.
(Note that I haven't read the full runs of these comics. I like what I saw of Damian and Stephanie, but I recognize that I have no idea if that good characterization holds up when put in context).
Batman villains fascinate me as an exploration of the extremes in life, how a concept or symbol can fully take over and tinge everything you see and do. Even poorly-written supervillains can have an undeniable magnetism. I think it's worth exploring, defining, and redefining the villains that slip under the radar.

okay i have Thoughts on cranboo’s endin
while my first hope was that he’d be waitin in the end for the syndicate, i think his real finale made sense and was right. ranboo was always a character who was torn between things and never fully felt comfortable anywhere, always hidin somethin from someone. the one thing theyd shown to value above all else was, ofc, michael, literally dyin for him. so in the end, its just right that theyd turn everythin else down to take care of their son. ranboo doesnt have to hide anymore and can live with the person he cares most about :]

My only complaint with Kenobi is how dark nearly every single scene is shot. I mean, sure they’re often in low-light environments, but they could’ve done something with the contrast of texture or…something? I have an easier time watching Moria and Night Scenes from Peter Jackson’s LotR than I do really any Kenobi Scene that wasn’t in strong, direct sunlight.
(Oh yeah, and the absense of clones aside from the homeless vet. I know it was a slim chance to actually see Cody or anyone else from the 212th, but still! I just. Really wanted to see the clones. Let Ben and the clones have that closure of “it was the chip. They never wanted to turn on eachother. Their relationships mattered.”
(I also see a LOT of flack about Reva and the Inquisitors which…is hard to NOT be suspicious about? Filoni started that? They’re well-established? They make SENSE as a way to control surviving jedi and force-users (that WILL continue to be born)? Kenobi’s about healing? So Reva being a youngling-survivor who was made into an Inquisitor actually makes sense as a foil for Ben and Vader (and Quinlan)? WHATEVER. Kenobi handled the Canon Walls FAR better than either Rebels or The Mandelorian.)
And about Leia and Ben—
Okay. This actually gives depth to “Help me, Obi-wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.” Specifically reaching out to Ben who’s living in hiding as a hermit on Tatooine. And goshdarnit FINALLY Leia is remembered (and Padme) verses this obsession with the Skywalker Men. (As well as the Organas.)
We also get a better Why to why Ben didn’t train up Luke—less because of Owen, more because Owen was (somewhat) right. As well as why Leia wasn’t trained (and didn’t even know she was force-sensitive despite easily resisting Vader’s attempt to use the Force to pull information out of her + Twin Telepathy to save Luke.) It was frankly far safer for them that way (and their Force Sensitivity to develop on its own in more discrete ways than chucking rocks—Leia’s Mindshields. Luke’s Reflexes.)
And LIKE. Lucas has a LONG habit of retconning his own lore (like OT Leia allegedly remembering her birth mother in what’s quite frankly a throwaway line as Luke doesn’t follow up on that At All after asking her about their mother. Then we meet Padme who…dies. Because Reasons. after childbirth.) and approving really bullshit things in the EU/Legends (like “Somehow…Palpatine survived.” Yeah that’s right Disney BORROWED that one. Palps and Cloned Palps has been an unfortunate franchise-device since preBuyOut. And a MAJOR reason why I never cared to read the EU material (aside from HUNDREDS of books and comics OH MY) as a child-then-teen.)
So like. Kenobi handled all that gracefully. Within set-norms for the greater franchise (including when the creator kept full-rights/last word.)
It works as a midquel and as a near stand-alone. WITHOUT killing everyone off or wiping minds or yeeting through a wormhole or portal to outside the galaxy or another dimensional reality. And in SW? That’s INCREDIBLY difficult to do—without deliberately working from the framework of “this is a Tragedy” (like The Clone Wars and Rogue One.)

I think that c!Niki joining the syndicate would be a very interesting story move… if the syndicate actually mattered. Think about it. She moves from the oppressed (L’Manberg) to the oppressors (the syndicate) and has no remorse about the horrible things that the organization she is willingly a part of does. But, as a whole, the syndicate is just this big scary organization that does bad things and gets away with it because the story doesn’t care.
C!Jack vs C!Niki regarding the prison escape and the withers and such is a great example of the kind of character conflict and personal growth (or lack thereof) that we could potentially have seen from c!niki. She’s just a villain now. What makes her any different from the men that destroyed her home time and time again?

Common Lead Generation Challenges and How to Solve Them
Tumblr media
Lead generation is a critical activity for nearly all businesses, serving as the lifeline to continuous sales growth and market expansion. However, it's a complex process fraught with numerous challenges. In this post, we'll explore some of the most common lead generation challenges and offer practical solutions to help businesses optimize their lead generation solution.
Challenge 1: Generating High-Quality Leads
The Problem: Many businesses struggle with not just generating any leads, but generating leads that are actually likely to convert into paying customers. High-quality leads are those that are genuinely interested in what you offer and are at or near the decision stage in the buying process.
The Solution: To improve lead quality, focus on targeting and personalization. Use detailed buyer personas to better understand and target your ideal customer. Enhance your content strategy to address specific customer needs and stages in the buying journey. Utilize lead scoring systems to prioritize leads based on their engagement and demographic information to better align with your ideal customer profile.
Challenge 2: Ineffective Lead Capture
The Problem: Attracting visitors to your site is one thing, but capturing their information is another. Many businesses see high traffic but low conversion rates because their lead capture strategies aren’t effective.
The Solution: Optimize your website and landing pages for conversions. Ensure that forms are simple and easy to fill out, use compelling calls-to-action (CTAs), and offer value through high-quality content offers like ebooks, webinars, or free trials. Test different elements on your pages (A/B testing) to see what works best for your audience.
Challenge 3: Aligning Sales and Marketing
The Problem: Misalignment between sales and marketing teams can lead to poor handling of leads and lost opportunities. If both teams aren’t on the same page regarding what constitutes a qualified lead, efforts can be wasted.
The Solution: Establish a Service Level Agreement (SLA) between sales and marketing to define what each team expects from the other regarding lead generation, handling, and follow-up. Regular meetings and shared dashboards can keep both teams updated on progress and performance, fostering a unified approach.
Challenge 4: Maintaining Lead Engagement
The Problem: Keeping potential customers engaged throughout the lead nurturing process is challenging, especially with increasing competition and shrinking attention spans.
The Solution: Develop a robust lead nurturing strategy that includes personalized email marketing, retargeting campaigns, and interactive content. Segment your email lists to tailor the messaging according to the lead’s stage in the buying process and past interactions with your brand.
Challenge 5: Utilizing Data Effectively
The Problem: Data is vital for effective lead generation, but many businesses struggle to capture, analyze, and act on the data they collect. This can result in missed opportunities and inefficient strategies.
The Solution: Invest in CRM and marketing automation tools that help collect data and provide insights into lead behavior and campaign performance. Use this data to refine your targeting, personalize your communications, and improve overall campaign performance.
Challenge 6: Budget Constraints
The Problem: Particularly for small businesses, there may be significant budget constraints that limit the scope of lead generation campaigns.
The Solution: Focus on cost-effective lead generation strategies such as content marketing, SEO, and social media engagement. Additionally, leverage organic strategies like referral programs and partnerships with other businesses to extend your reach without significant financial investment.
Challenge 7: Adapting to Changing Consumer Behaviors
The Problem: Consumer behaviors and preferences change rapidly, and a strategy that worked well one year might not be effective the next.
The Solution: Stay flexible and keep informed about industry trends and consumer behavior changes. Regularly review and adjust your marketing strategies to ensure they align with current best practices and audience preferences. Use customer feedback and analytics to guide these adjustments.
Challenge 8: Lack of Expertise
The Problem: Some businesses may not have the in-house expertise required to implement effective lead generation strategies.
The Solution: Consider outsourcing elements of your lead generation process to agencies or hiring freelancers with specific expertise in areas like SEO, content marketing, or data analysis. This can provide you with advanced skills and insights without the need for long-term commitments.
Conclusion
Bant lead generation will always be accompanied by challenges, but with a proactive approach and the willingness to adapt, these obstacles can be transformed into opportunities for growth. By understanding these common issues and implementing the suggested solutions, businesses can improve their lead generation efforts, resulting in better lead quality, improved conversion rates, and ultimately, increased revenue. Focus on continuous improvement and stay attuned to both your data and your market to maintain a competitive edge in your lead generation strategies.

C!Niki Design Timeline
My thoughts about her design under the cut!
L’MaNiki
I have an art piece of everyone’s L’Manberg uniforms that Tumblr won’t let me link, but the general gist is that anyone who joined post revolution got to choose the shade of their coat, and got a light blue sash instead of a red one. They also don’t have the lines on the boots.
Elections
She dyed parts of her hair orange to match Fundy for coconut2020, and a lot of her outfit was styled to reflect to the people that she was loyal to L’Manberg - keeping the same collar shape as her uniform, wearing the same turtleneck, wearing the shoulder pads
Manberg
She dyed her hair! Niki tied the sash from her L’Manberg uniform around her leg as a sort of rebellious act against JSchlatt (which she did a lot of), showing she was loyal to Wilbur’s nation rather than his. She also tied the hairtie around her wrist. Her sweater is the mental-breakdown shade of pink that she dyed her hair later, showing that this was the start of her mental decline and that this was a massive period of loneliness.
Pogtopia
She cut her hair and put it up into pigtails so that it was out of the way while she was in the ravine. I headcanon that this was when she got Wilbur’s cloak and that he gave it to her once she joined. Also, despite not participating in a war yet she has a scar on her leg from being chased out of Manberg and murdered by Ponk on the day of Tubbo’s execution, which is what led to her joining Pogtopia. The L’Manberg hairtie is still on her wrist but the ones in her hair are the mental breakdown colour, however there is less of that pink on this design than the Manberg one as joining Pogtopia reunited her with many of her friends, so she didn’t feel as alone even if she was still scared.
Breakdown
This design is for the entirety of New L’Manberg, Doomsday, and the rocket duo arc, up until the point where she stopped trying to kill Tommy and focused more on her secret city (where she locked herself up due to sleepwalking and night terrors). This arc lasted a long time and goes acrosss multiple eras her appearance remained how it did from NLM because she had no motivation to change anything, despite usually taking pride in aspects of her appearance such as her hair (which had grown out slightly between Pogtopia and now). There is no a single reference to L’Manberg in this outfit but she does still have Wilbur’s cloak.
Healing arc
Niki’s healing began after joining the syndicate but I think the appearance change would not come until at least a few months after joining as she was still trying to find her sense of self again. When she did, she went back to her blonde hair but dyed half brown, like a reference to Ranboo and Puffy. She continues to wear Wilbur’s cloak but is now in a much classier fit, having spent too much time with Techno (who definitely gave her the gold). The L’Manberg hairtie is back, this time with a braid, because I think Syndicate braids is an even cooler concept than sbi braids

CSM Inflicted Insanity On the Syndicate
POV: You're the Syndicate.
Tumblr media
You've just been contacted, threatened, and struck a deal with mercenary alien overlords. Your partner Carl Spender decides this is the perfect time to have a messy affair with another partner's-- Bill Mulder-- wife. They dodge that issue for years (because Bill either A. willfully blinds himself to that reality or B. doesn't care to know the details) while butting up against biology concerns with the Mulder children; and, because he hasn't caused enough trouble, Carl then helps direct the abductions from each Consortium member's family but somehow loses Samantha Mulder in the process. You don't know until later that this IDIOT didn't return her because "she was his daughter", which sent Bill Mulder's son on a crusade that will unravel the entire Conspiracy and send the planet into possible Colonization.
Now that Idiot Carl caused unnecessary fracturing in the group, twice-- within the same family-- he will abandon his own son and near-crazed wife to hover over Bill Mulder's instead, claiming the boy as his own (to which you will roll your eyes in a "what does it matter, you have a son RIGHT THERE, CARL" manner) and indulge that insanely smart and talented young man to eventually discover and take over the files-- so much so he sends a recruitment girlfriend to intercept him out of college, steer him towards FBI, guide him to said files, then reassign her when Mulder gets mired in Squatchin' instead of the "more important things"... which Carl didn't foresee because, again, he's an idiot.
Idiot Carl will then, because he's bored, send Schrodinger's Son a scientist to-- he assures you, hand on his heart-- debunk Mulder's work, which will, most definitely, get him off our tails, guys. (He will then claim, later, when she helps instead of hindering Maybe Son's work, that this was his long-game recruitment for his Second Son all along.) Scientist Partner will then ring your necks with logic and data; and you will grasp at Carl's when he has the gall to say "in due time" to all your concerns.
You decide Idiot Carl has bitten off more than he can chew, sending his close friend Alien Shooter to monitor the Mulder situation in 1993. All of you are fooled because he was the first of a long line of double-crossers, somehow believing Spooky Mulder is saner than Idiot Carl (agreed) and the lot of you (highly offensive.) Alien Shooter is shot, the files are closed, you scowl Carl back into his place, the end. Problem solved.
...BUT THAT IDIOT'S PET PROJECT WON'T LET THE FILES GO. Because Carl decided to play god and not recruit Schrodinger's Son from the start, Mulder is now on a self-pitying "how dare you take my life's work away from me" quest (despite the fact he's only had the files barely three years.) And because this brat was indulged since Carl indulgently stole away his sister after breaking up his family after having an affair with the Purposefully Forgetful Tena Mulder, you're stuck with this convoluted mess because someone else-- likely a loyal disciple to the late Alien Shooter-- is now double-crossing for the cause your betrayer colleague was killed by last year.
AND BECAUSE CARL CAN'T LEAVE WELL ALONE, he hires a spy to spy on said Maybe Son-- who is already off the X-Files, lest that detail be forgotten, CARL-- to possibly suss out the new double crosser and help bury any leads Mulder comes across... and then Idiot Carl sends this New Rat to send Mulder right into a conspiracy-alien hornet's nest just to set up an unnecessary abduction for his brat's scientist-ex-partner-not-girlfriend who was ALREADY REASSIGNED ELSEWHERE anyways and who IS RETURNED BY IDIOT CARL FOR NO REASON... and survives. Because of course. (And Carl also had a chance to kill Mulder in his apartment but never did and probably never told you, his buddies, about that because you likely would have killed him sooner than Redux II.)
Idiot Carl Spender lets the clones get loose, bringing Bill Mulder back into the game briefly; then Idiot Carl Spender's two-penny goons assassinate Bill Mulder and THEN they willy-nilly shoot the wrong Scully sister, reigniting HER dedication to the cause. CARL HAS MULDER IN HIS GRASP, grenades a traincar and sets fire to it for good measure... AND SCHRODINGER'S SON LIVES. Not only that, but Rat Boy Rootin' Tootin' Wrong Person Shootin' threatens Idiot Carl with exposure and he loses the group's leverage in a deal with Skinner. Mulder escapes a face full of alien blood, being blown up in a train car TWICE, and being shot at by a fleet of agent operatives all by Season 3.
Because of these escapades, your contempt of Carl Spender's methods have reached new heights; and you send out another colleague-- the British one-- on behalf of the Group to Scully. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders; so from here on out, the members continue to trickle to her throughout the year 1995 whenever CSM can't stop Mulder's zany shenanigans.
1996 brings another problem: Russians and that Rat double agent that Idiot Carl hired back in 1994. (He also tag-teams with Mulder before double-crossing him again.) This particular thorn is far from done his double-crossing ways, however: elevating them to TRIPLE crossing the following year in a three-way between your group, Mulder, and the Russians (throw in the UN for a quadruple feature.) Before that, however, IDIOT Carl makes a deal with Mulder's groupies during Scully's cancer because he just won't let her die without playing god some more.
At this point, you're done. You hire an assassin and have Idiot Carl taken out before he can do something INSANELY STUPID like hand over a cure to the one person that validates Mulder's work-- oh, wait.
Just as you've gained a breather-- your newest dead colleague's family and ego drama is over, Mulder drops his belief and is no longer a threat, and British Colleague has taken back from Triple-or-Quadruple Agent what was yours-- Carl's infuriating legacy lives on: Triple-or-Quadruple (T or Q) Agent pops up from the dust like a cockroach and triple-quadruple-crosses all of you again by siding with Mulder. NOW all of you have Carl's vanity project to deal with again without Carl there to corral or counteract him (not that that helped.) But at LEAST the one person Carl hasn't tampered with seems the most promising. Oddly enough, it's his own child-- Abandoned Son.
BUT THEN CARL HAS TO RUIN A GOOD THING BY CONTACTING ABANDONED SON... which means the Idiot's alive. So, having no choice, you send a Triple-or-Quad out to track down his master; and the quadruple-crosser brings back your not-dead colleague, who sweeps in and... actually helps out, for once, cleaning up the Psychic Kid Mess and closing down the X-Files for good. Wow. He's changing, you think.
Foolishly.
AND THEN your last "on the ground" colleague-- the British one-- betrays all of you by siding with and giving Mulder the cure for Scully's viral infection after you all agreed, soundly, that she needed to be done away with.
AND it turns out Idiot Carl is STILL an idiot, because he's back to his melodramatic family drama by RE-OPENING THE X-FILES HE CLOSED DOWN AND PUTTING HIS OWN SON ON THEM WITH HIS SCHRODINGER SON'S RECRUITMENT GIRLFRIEND. Not only that, but he muddies the waters further by having former recruitment girlfriend string along Schrodinger Son Mulder to pull him away from scientist Scully (because Well-Groomed-Now-Dead British Colleague saved her life) while also forcing Abandoned Son to rot in the basement-- hoping to ignite his passion with Recruitment Girlfriend or the Truth or some such thing that worked the first time around. And, of course, Idiot Carl fails-- no dice.
Abandoned Son then TURNS ON ALL OF YOU because Idiot Carl abandoned his mother; and he and the Rat T-or-Q spy split off from your efforts to save yourselves from Colonization by attempting to stop your plans. NOT ONLY THAT, but Schrodinger's Son joins the cause from a talk with Idiot Carl and Recruitment Girlfriend... BUT THEY DIDN'T DO A GOOD ENOUGH JOB BECAUSE SCIENTIST PARTNER THAT CARL RECRUITED ALL THOSE YEARS AGO TALKS HIM OUT OF IT AGAIN AND STOPS HIM FROM JOINING.
And you realize, too late, that the only intelligent member of this entire, foolish, fumbling charade was the British one who chose to go out in a car bomb after saving all the necessary pieces.
So, in the end, you all toast.
Because of Idiot Carl's idiotic melodrama.

I think Tom (and all his alts) strive for freedom…
OH ABSOLUTELY
I totally agree!! I think just like- the nature of Tom and his alts (who ofc meta wise were all written after him) is that they’re all dependent people of some kind, usually as the result of their circumstance of existence
Whether that be like in Tom's case because Dianite (or Mianite in Godswap, albiet different dynamic) is the one to grant him reanimated life, making him sort of indebted to him- or Cassell who isn't necessarily bound to his god moreso that he's bound to his creators (Flash and Ianite). Mot also sort of has that tether element to him because Dianite technically also saved his life from the creeper spore infection iirc but I think it makes the principle of freedom a little different to him esp. because it turned into like a business partners to unrequited crush to sorta lovers kinda thing depending on your post canon
All of this translates to me into their kind of devotion as champions, and again how that's like different from Ianitee flavored devotion (based on the guidance of Ianite and trusting in her judgement to lead them the right way so she can keep them safe), or Mianitee flavored devotion (Like knights to a king, similar to Ianitees follow orders for order, kind of follow his principles rather than specific instructions from him). Dianite being Dianite and the elements of chaos being how it is, Dianitee devotion is like being an extension of him, not via principles or guidance but by intent like being mercenaries in service of him while still being tethered in fear of punishment if its not done right. And maybe yknow they don't mind the implications that come with that title (Mot's case, for example) I think that's where that desire for freedom comes for- a want to have an existence that isn't tethered to their god
side note this could not apply as much to Dianite and Cass in Aitheaca because Dianite takes the Ianite role in terms of swapped god positions (and Cass runs off Dianite's guidance in the same way as Jordan would to Ianite) as Flash and Ianite are more similar to Tom and S1 Dia but bear with me xD
So kind of like extrapolating from that- their more specific desires for freedom are all sort of tied to Tom's need for spiritual freedom- I want to like refer to the whole thing of the Thauminomicon-y traits Marsh had mentioned before, and how Tom has 'fabrico', which stands for craft/repair. It connects in the sense of yeah he's a zombie he's stiched back together but. ok hear me out. Who would have stitched him back together? It was implied in an episode of Isles that c!Tom doesn't remember the Minecraft Project- (because they're memories he can't return to, just big empty void in his head), or when he was alive/ill from zombification, but he hadn't died yet. The person that arrives on Mianite with Tucker is that Tom, he is all that chaotic goofy Tom is, but at the same time he's partially someone else's creation, sewn together in intricate ways to be the bringer of chaos for the god he serves- but beyond that? His humanity. At his core, he's human, not someone who'll just take orders blindly and him striving for his freedom from that tether is refusing to deny the things that makes him alive. And I think the other alts like ya said follow suit, in Mot maintaining his humanity regardless of his ailment through choosing to care for Alyssa rather than being just a ruthless chaotic killing machine when Rux!Dia dies or in Aitheaca the way I want to write Cassell as someone who was born as a weapon for Ianite but loves collecting vintage human things and views his innermost self through music. The visual I kind of go to is the idea of Tom literally crafting and repairing the parts of himself that make him feel trapped by breaking them apart, burning it, adding new things when he takes the hands of friends and yeah!! And I think this sort of aspect could also tie into him becoming Mecha Dianite as well in finding freedom by choosing the person he is, and owning it
