it was actually quite weird for you to sit at the slytherin table. surely you and draco were secretly having a fling, but being invited to their table? it was a whole different kind of weird.

you tried your best not to be intimidated and your secret boyfriend was kind enough to shove smiles down your way every now and then.

“it's just my way of thanking you, y/n,” blaise smiled at you, “it's only because of you that i managed to pass the owls.”

“oh, it was nothing,” you waved your hand in dismissal because honestly, what else were you supposed to say?

pansy shifted her focus back to the slytherin prince. “draco, when are we finally going to meet the person you're dating? you cannot stop talking about her but we're your closest friends and we don't even know her name!”

. kabukimono is actually so fucking proud of himself. especially so since i was running along with the imagery that is him being a mess in the kitchen, not only that; but you always occupy yourself with making him what he likes, why not reciprocate the gesture? he found out it was your birthday through niwa who urged you to come over for tea and have a chat. katsuragi spent just about the whole day to early afternoon looking for kabu only to see bro cooking up in your shared home, and katsu ended up tagging along! i like to imagine that kabu finds solace or some form of acceptance when he's around humans like you for instance; a human who sees him as one of their own. kabuki felt something akin to relief wash over him as katsuragi stuck around and helped him by providing tips on making your favorites for your birthday. he felt alive, human. and that smile of sheer delight on his face was not only because he saw your smile at his simple method to celebrate, but also because he felt accomplished. he repaid you for a simple gesture you never hesitated to do for him.

. kuronushi is a man of both words and actions. when it came to how he should make you happy, he surprisingly found a little bit of difficulty in figuring it out because and i quote, “knowing you're here is enough to make me smile, 'nushi.” so what? is he supposed to simply stay by your side for the remainder of the day? that simply won't do and isn't enough of a gift for you; an individual who practically made his existence more meaningful to him. such a simple gesture like staying by your side, while something he does more often than not, simply isn't enough as stated. and so, just exactly a day before your birthday, he excused himself by leaving a note that said he's out on an inspiration walk. by the time he arrived to kannazuka island, the atmosphere was exactly what he desired; partially cloudy with an auspicious breeze and most importantly, the stage was all his as his brush began to make short work of the once empty scrolls, and as cheesy as it sounds the dim and gentle lighting of the sun emitting from the clouds above reminded him of you. which helped immensely with his inspiration. honestly, a simple portrait isn't enough to capture your radiance, but if he had to give a gift he'd make with what he has, it'll be this for now.

. kunikuzushi is an interesting case. once unnecessary now an absolute fucking must as he simply looks at you while you sleep at an ungodly time of 2 a.m. a frustrated frown slowly but surely painting his face as he juices his non-existent brain out on how exactly he should make you smile on your supposed special day. the things he does for you, all due to those mind boggling emotions you allowed his mechanical heart to influence. the first time he took you to said café; people were staring. eyes not only on him but you, how come his benevolence be with an ordinary individual? on a simple get-together no less... he finds offense in the stares that were mainly on him, why? is it so strange for him to be sighted like this? foolish mortals won't begin to understand how he chooses to spend a day he deems dear to him. now breaking from writer ayame for a bit YOU'RE SO REAL ABOUT HIM JUST SNAPPING AT PEOPLE WHO WERE STARING ;; the next time he took you to that café at the same day, you were taken aback by seeing no one other than the workers in sight.

. somehow in someway, wanderer has found himself in the company of buer, the aranara and you — while nahida is partially correct about this being his idea; he meant only you along with him and the little sprout. not with the company of talking cabbages! but alas, here he was at the small table sitting by your side as his aranara lookalike is chatting the tea party away with along with nahida who's elated to finally know more of you. he couldn't bring himself to ( or rather was unable to ) convince nahida otherwise about her idea, not when you looked both interested and excited, more than willing to go. he was quiet for the most part, only deciding to chat if he was brought into the conversation which contradicting what i said earlier, he ended up using his voice quiet a lot; from indulging you in your lighthearted remarks to indulging nahida's playful inquiries and teasing. it felt a lot more like a family gathering than a birthday celebration, but if he to admit to himself at most, he enjoyed it while it lasted.

in regards to evaporating into thin air; that is such a perfect way to describe how i felt while reading it too ;; i mentioned this in my silly lil post but i was literally smiling from ear to ear reading his letter, it's just so nice hearing he's up to his usual mundanities yet still experience something eventful in a way :') "it was so incredibly ridiculous i had to laugh" just the image of him laughing. like. genuinely laughing has me going so soft and melt into a puddle

now brainrot time ( ✧ ✧⁠)

reader, in this vision of this specific scenario, wouldn't be affiliated with the akademiya. sure, visits are quite common for you, but it's only for a certain vahumana scholar... he's been the talk of the town for a decent while, not only for his eccentric personality; but also for possessing an insight vastly different from your typical scholar. some students had the gall to examine that harsh exterior falter ever so slightly when you arrive to mainly check up on him with a meal prepared for him, heard saying such things like “you didn't have to trouble yourself.” under his breath only for you to hear all the while he's taking what you had for him that day in his hands, scurrying away in the wild whilst treating himself to the delicacy he's grown to take a liking to ( code sentence for: loves immensely ).

of course, noticing your close bond with vahumana's one and only hat guy, it prompted a few brave souls from the akademiya to approach you and inquire about your lover. some questions were a little on the nose, and you didn't hesitate to turn those questions down for both his sake and yours. mainly his.

overtime, kuni would start hearing your name echo in the halls. sometimes in the house of daena while he occupied himself with reading to pass time. more popular for your connection to him rather than something else... of course, occasional praises being sung about you would enter his earshot, but that is precisely what they should've settled on first. regardless, the first time they ( some of the students ) interrupted his peace; jumping out of a bush with a cake that, in his gaze, was sickeningly sweet as he so described. sharp eyes from one of the students was enough to alert the others that perhaps the cake they got him wasn't something he particularly liked... so, they seek who for guidance? you, of course.

encounter after another when the students spot you at puspa cafe on your own, your desire to see your lover being unceremoniously interrupted by a student or two having a few things to ask you. you admit, you found a bit of amusement in how literally everyone in the akademiya knew little to none about him. and truthfully, you felt like some divinely favored being to be able to call him your boyfriend, but you digress. his dessert preferences was something you didn't expect to be asked a day prior to his birthday, but the question wasn't unwelcome. you'd dawn on a small smile and explain to the students that he isn't so fond of sweets. sure, he'll have dessert, but they're always bitter. your excitement was unfortunately not kept at bay when the group of vahumana students brought up why they were asking. and you, naturally, tagged along with them to surprise him.

all you did was provide directions, the path he always takes to his favorite spot that he rarely ever visits unless with you tagging along or something would weigh down his mind. and for the fun of it, you made sure to remain hidden as the group jumped out of the bush with a cake that this time, was one exactly to his liking. that same laughter that erupted from him last time, as the students told you, escaped his lips again. this one seemed more... genuine, in comparison to the last one which the students explained as "feeling like they were getting spit in the face."

from his perspective, as his eyes were fixed on the matcha flavored cake presented to him, he could just about feel your presence lurking here. you're the one who's been indulging them in their meaningless questions that were only answered for the sake of knowing more, you're watching him right now, aren't you? of course you are, not when he was able to make out the little hum that was almost taken away along with the breeze and the accomplished squeal from one of the students.

just how much did you indulge them? not much he figured, but you didn't shy away from explaining his dessert preferences. typical from you, yet that laughter that escaped his lips, the slightly lighthearted snark thrown at the students standing in front of him with his favorite cake, and the acknowledgement of your presence here that slowly began to dissipate... you have some explaining to do.

i assume this is about the magical duo, suzu and nicky--nicky is fully human!! suzu is a bit more complicated. she used to be fully human but was killed and sort-of resurrected. Her current body isn't human, it's an illusory vessel that houses her soul, which the magical girl agency that she works for still has claim over since she died in the line of duty. the fake body usually doesn't even take a human form, it only does that when she needs to be able to fight. otherwise she takes on an animal familiar form--whatever animal will help her blend into her environment seamlessly, most often a cat when she's on earth with nicky.

[referencing past post: Lmao it'd b so funny if someone wrote a fantasy au of the quadruplet womb war complete with alliances betrayals and the fate of multiple kingdoms on the line? The killing of each sibling represented by an eye turning gold, whereupon the one to kill all 3 (kills transfer) is granted all seeing prophetic vision or something? But after the cruel deaths of their other siblings (mika mercy killing one, and suzu killing one willingly to avenge the first one's death) they decide to truce instead so no one gets prophetic vision but also neither of them die?] ive been thinking about the womb war fantasy au for the past few minutes ive fleshed it out a bit more but only really really random bits

i dont read enough fantasy stuff to contribute in a meaningful way but go bonkers pensive lay it out

so they all lived in the same kingdom right in the same castle bc its their kingdom and their castle and they bein the heirs but then their parents die and demon/god/diety/eldritch horror(my fave option now tbh) appears and lays out the rules of the curse that determines the rightful heir (bc they were quadruplets ofc they dont know who takes the throne) (btw its there bc either their parents summoned it for some pre-birth deal that impacted their birth or one specific quadruplet summoned it u'll know when i explain them) so the curse says that the rightful heir would have a pair of golden eyes that will see into the future, but in order to unlock the power the others must die. one death for each eye, and a third (done in a ritual) to unlock the ability to use the power. as it stands the siblings are mika (blue), suzu (pink/red), eldest (working name, first born, green) and guy (3rd born, after mika, orange). mika suzu and eldest r like hell naw bc they fam and love each other but orange is not goin for that route bc he really really wants to become more powerful (overshadowed by suzu's magic, eldest's sword, mika's charm) and longs for the throne, and destest the way everyone else has decided that gentile, weak willed eldest should take the throne.

so yea aft some shenangians guy takes control of the castle by force and tries to kill his siblings but with the help of the servants they manage to escape, although spread out in different directions with varying degrees of help. eldest makes it out with a band of 3-5 trusted aids and heads out to the kingdom of one of his friends (my heart telling me either izumi or eichi for some reason), mika is rescued by 2 kind servants (they run into the woods, no real idea where they are but heading in a direction they hope leads to civilization), and suzu escapes alone (making it to the slums of a busy city in their neighboring kingdom the morning after, as dawn breaks over the horizon. hazy mist covers the streets, not blinding but obscuring, the biting cold stings her cheeks, and in that moment she wants nothing but to lay down and sleep in the wake of civilization. but the stabbing pain of light hitting her eyes shakes a molecule of sense back into her, terrifyingly alone, she has no choice to keep moving. as the morning markets begin to set up, she disappears into the crowd of the bustling trade city)

so anyways mika and pals do eventually reach civilization of their own, deciding the best way to keep themselves hidden + ensure their survival is to get work, they do exactly that. managing to get work at the local lord's house, which they realize too late to be the archduke lord itsuki (ik, hold ur shock).

eldest pleads his case to the kingdom he sought refuge in, gaining their support to in creating a rebellion against his brother's rule bc at that point it'd taken weeks for him to get an audience w people high enough to make the decision on what to do with him (a foreign fuckin prince) and in that time he had seen how his brother treated his people, how their suffering didn't even make it into his eyes. his simple plead for sanctuary suddenly turning into an indignant cry for justice. their prince, enamored wiht the fury of a man known for his placidity, agrees after much deliberation with the council. the kingdom casts a discreet call for war, asking for soldiers from only their most trusted nobles, the cards become set.

meanwhile suzu becomes a mercenary and catches the eye of queen anzu (yaasssssssss girl slaaaaaay), who had inherited the throne after her parents died in an epidemic a few years prior, only winning the title from her brother due to her immense prowess in all fields of study. uhhhhhh shenaniganry happens and turns out mika and eldest were actually in the same kingdom! huzzah they have a tearful reunion and shu offers his soldiers to the war efforts. but when mika asks to join shu refuses bc he doesnt want him hurt & he has minimal combat abilities

[1]mika sneaks in anyways lololol and oopsie doopsie turns out the whole thing was a trap bc guy(orange) had started dabbling in Forbidden Magic Of Mass Destruction (tm) which required snackrafices for use and had destructive tolls on the user's magic poewr, mainly that the source of their power slowly becomes corrupted and eventually leaves them unable to use any other power besides FMOMD (tm) which also gives them Big Pain. so yea he fatally wounds eldest and is about to torture him to death when shu fuckin itsuki (:shushock:) storms in and overwhelms him enough to force him into retreat but at that point eldest is still like, y'know dying and shu is very very conflicted on if he has to right to put him out of his misery bc he knows how much he means to mika and even tho eldest is like "milord, it is alright- we both know how this ends" shu is takin no bitches today and yeets him to the infirmary tent where doctors decend upon him like rabid bagers but they're all like "yea, no way. hes dyin" and he's liek "yep im dyin." and says "i am nothing but a fool, a weak hearted coward like guy said. i didn't have the strength to harm him, and this is the result. how dare i, who hath broken my treasured oath, dare to face you all?(a lot of the ppl there r runaways from the quadruplet's kingdom)" and then he tells them to gtfo so he can die in shame and alone and they're like "NAUUUUURRRR" but get dragged away anyways by the neighboring kingdom's knights who had less stake but was touched by the scene and relented to his wishes. but then ya boy, mika kagehara, who had snuck into battle as a supply runner, and was too busy getting bandages in the storage shed to hear abt thsi piping hot tea, accidently runs through the wall of the tent eldest was in and sees him there. thye have a heart to heart, mika cries, eldest's body is slowly shutting down so he can't bring tears but he still looks like hes holding it back and then mika mercy kills him

[2]and then mika gets the first gold eye wooooooooooo so yea the rebellion keeps fighting but mika (who had been found clutching his dearest brother's hand, a vile of their most quick, efficient, painless poison laying on the cot. a tender smile watching over him from beyond the grave) and is Extremely Distraught so shu takes him to a safehouse nearby (either one of his houses or a friend's) for him to recover where he hears news about ongoing news in the west. ok so lets talk abt the west. i just arbitrarily decided that anzu's kingdom is actually a large empire in the west (making her the empress woooooooo!!) and thye have some Really Big problems with monsters and pirates. you see all along the sides of their empire are massive magical forests, dense in monsters and resources. this has allowed their trade to boom as thye became better hunters and gatherers, but their booming trade all stirred up all kinds of trouble from envious kingdoms/groups/whomevers so they have rampant problems with all kinds of bandits and outlaws. so much that it overwhems the amount of knights they have available, so the kingdom created a really strict but highly compent hiring system for mercs, who get paid well for their loyalty assistance. so then suzu, a hyper-competent-only-seen-in-a-thousand-years-wizard rises to great acclaim very fast and word of her exploits + the empress's favor quickly reaches the kingdom valk is in. so shu, who knows everything abt the sitch by now, sends her news of the ongoings of the rebellion and how eldest is dead and mika is dealing Poorly. suzu likewise reacts Poorly and becomes filled with Vengeful Rage and runs over immediately to go kill guy(orange) anzu finds out shes gone by the note she left behind and makes Plans so suzu gets the drop on guy and kills guy boo de hoo and w/o him there to control the puppet soldier/golem things that had been defending the castle the rebellion succeeds Very Quickly

shu itsuki bursts into the throne room (where guy died) shortly after and meets suzu who he Knows is suzu bc of her eyes and tells her the castle has been captured the the rebellion has won, suzu is relieved and collapses bc Epic Battle Tiring so shu takes her to the safe house mika is staying in for her to rest and get treatment. so the (now) twins are reunited :DD so suzu now has a gold eye, mika has a gold eye, and whoever kills the other inherits their gold eye from the brother they killed + unlocks the power of prophecy … "yea but htey obvs dont want to kill each other" u say, and ur absolutely right except god/demon/elderitch horror really really wants them too and plagues them with horrible night mares and sleep walking spells and after a few small nightime scares and one Very Big nightime Incident where mika had sleepwalked over to suzu with either a pillow or blanket in hand to smother her (which was seen and stopped before anything could happen by a patroling maid) they beomce Very Concered over it and try figuring out what to do when BA BAB BABAAAAAAAAAA ANZU AND ENJI (<-engirls mc, yes this is his name now im taking this name its my ver of cannon now) appear and reveal that while enji is Magicless (tm) he is suprisingly incredibly efficient at the hwole Hypothetical Magic field of study (the same field utilized/abused into the summoning of the thing) and with the power of Deus Ex Machina he and anzu manage to seal away the demon in a ritual that probs involved the twins's blood ngl and so yea woooooooooo after that thye take some days to calm down from the Everythings and eventaully talk about the . the waht happens next. mika admits he isn't a good fit for the throne due to his airheadedness and tendency to misunderstand the machinations of hihg society (& jus doesn't feel like he deserves it), and while suzu has similar inhibitions she knows one of them has to step up bc no one else will and so despite her fears she takes to plunge and accepts the crown

the kingdoms that helped during the war (anzu's empire+eldest's friend's kingdom) all form alliances as the suzu's kingdom undergoes intense reconstruction, developing a strong focus into research for many fields (mostly medicine, magic, and hypotheticals-a broad term used to emcompass many areas of study people would deem to be fiction, everything from what we[<-fourth wall break lol] consider modern science to the god/demon/elderitch magic that started and ended it all) enji moves there and takes up shop in the kingdom's grand university, becoming one of it's first researchers and lecturers. mika also attends one for a time, learning and researching the medicine that could have saved his brother's life + (accidently) finding a passion for artistic textiles and sewing. anzu and suzu eventually get engaged and circumvent the whole Heir Production thing by using a new hypothetical magic they+enji created that allows the user(s) to insert the blessings of one's bloodline onto anyone they want and proceed to bless two capable and loyal advisers. and while the decision was at first met with harsh criticism, they were eventually proven to have chosen well as the merrits of their successors build and build. oh yea and shu+mika are probs engaged bc why not other notes im toying w the idea of ra*bits also being from suzu's kingdom, but only nazuna managed to escape (by mika's side) while the rest were trapped in the palace with guy. they probs did espionage and helped the rebellion start tho, and defected as soon as they could. arashi's probs the other servant, bc she's mika's bestie. im thinking of making the safe house belong to wataru, bc lmao shu havin to ask a man he's friends w by circumstance for help bc he was the closest n most viable option n must throw away his pride for the one he loves. also bc of that thinkin of the 5 eccentrics all bein in that kingdom and at that point it'd probs make the most sense if it's king was rei huh. meh ill figure it out

“y/n, i am home!”

your brother's voice rang in the apartment and you smiled at him, straightening the hem of your apron from the kitchen. “i am in the kitchen, gumi.”

you watched him come into the kitchen, his face stoic like always that he inherited from his father, fushiguro toji. but his eyes softened as he saw you. “how was your day?”

“boring,” you clicked your tongue, “what about you?”

“mine too," he took a piece of the cookies that you had baked, “gojo sensei was asking about you.”

your eyes widened. did your brother come to know of the dating course or something? oh god. “what was he saying?” you tried your best to sound nonchalant.

“just how old you were,” he bit on the cookie, “i told him that he shouldn't even think of you.”

“gumi, you can't talk to your teacher like that!”

“you are too innocent,” he rolled his eyes, “he might be my teacher but he's not serious about women. he's better off away from you.”

as if you didn't know that. and yet.

“come, help me set the dinner now, will you?” you asked, changing the topic and sighed in relief when you saw him nod.

“oh, y/n?” megumi spoke out of nowhere when they were eating their dinner in silence. “can yuji and nobara stay here for a sleepover tonight? i forgot to tell you.”

you smiled. it was those rare moments that you felt like you did have a younger brother. megumi was too serious to act like a teenager most of the time. which you didn't like. he was a teen and he should be allowed to have fun.

“of course. have fun. i will be in my room if you need me.”

gojo satoru smiled at his date sitting next to him. she was a blonde woman, tall and curvy. nothing like that specific girl in his mind. she had a smile on her lips as she stroked his hand.

“so, y/n chan, i—”

“aika,” the woman rolled her eyes, pulling her back, “my name is aika and not y/n. you have called me by that name two times now!”

he bit his inner cheek. what was he doing? he was supposed to flirt with his date and then end up in the bed with her. a healthy cycle. and thinking about y/n chan was definitely not healthy.

y/n chan. his student's older stepsister. the sweet innocent angel. imagine his surprise when you asked him to teach you how to date. you wanted to learn dating with him and then go and experience that with some other ‘serious, responsible family man’.

but wasn't it for the good? you deserved a kind and sweet man. and a jujutsu sorcerer like gojo satoru could never be that. he couldn't allow himself to get attached to a civilian.

“i need to go home, aika,” he pulled out an easy going grin, much to her flabbergast, “next time.”

as he slowly walked towards his apartment, he remembered how protective megumi had looked when he had asked about his sister. satoru sighed. as if he was some beast who would kidnap sweet you.

maybe he should text you good night. you said they were friends. and friends do that, right?

gojo satoru : good night, sweet y/n chan.

wait. wait. no. sweet sounded weird. he should delete it. but before he could delete it, he saw that you had already seen it.

y/n chan 🤍 : good night, gojo san.

he smiled. he could certainly get used to it.

As Crowley steps on the breaks, Ferid is sent flying through the window. Ouch. One Suzue sees that the squad is alright, she heads to make sure he's alright, but not before being questioned by the wary vampire at the wheel. Though, this isn't necessarily new for him, but why the hell is Ferid acting so strangely? Emotional turmoil ensues.

The sense of impending doom loomed over Haru the entire day after Daisuke so proudly proclaimed that after school, the taupe-haired troublemaker would have to demonstrate what he knew in some sort of embarrassing show-and-tell in front of him. The thought shouldn’t have brought such anxiety – in fact in his mind, he should have been way more annoyed than he was – but when he found his stomach turning uncomfortably in his belly and his heart rate accelerating each time he glanced at the clock, he knew he couldn’t deny his stirring sense of unease for long.

(Or, Haru agrees to show Daisuke the extent of his magical abilities and shit goes a bit sideways.
