Howdy! It sure is Thursday, who else is enacting the customary Thursday ritual of climbing a mountain and screaming for catharsis at the top? Everybody's favorite weekly mental health exercise. Don't forget to do the same today if you haven't; if you don't have your own accessible mountain don't worry a rooftop counts too. If there are no roofs available I don't know what to tell you go scream in an open field I guess sometimes that's just as good.

#This is mostly a bit but I /am/ screaming on top of a mountain. It's a great mountain.#And you /should/ do the same. I'd highly recommend it.#My chest feels so much lighter.#Beautiful sunset to watch up here too. So much purple in the sky. :^)#If anyone would like to join then they're welcome! The funny thing about not really being a music person, refusing to listen to commercial radio, and being generally unaware of pop culture is that I have 0 way to gauge if the bands I listen to are popular or not. I'll think that a band I listen to is wildly popular because I figure that if I, I who am disconnected from everything, has managed to hear about them then everyone has heard about them and I've only heard about them because they're playing in enough places to have gotten into my periphery. Which is the case for some of what I listen to (and consequently learn that a band I like is considered cringe for whatever reason. Ask me if i give a fuck.) But often it's not. I forget that I've heard of a band through a podcast, like a lot of my music tastes come straight out of the weather on wtnv but I've forgotten that that's where I heard it first, and it's just been in my spotify playlist forever.

Anyway, the point is pandora went out at work a while ago so I hooked my phone up to the speakers and played my long ass random spotify playlist and my coworkers were like, "what is this. Who are these bands" and apparently quite a bit of my music tastes are obscure and I had no idea

#they werent complaining they were just baffled because when they tall about music i have no idea whats going on #so i thibk they all assume i only listen to top 40 style music #and tbf i assumed i was too #im the opposite of the Theyre Really Obsure Youve Probably Never Heard Of Them guy #even like The Mountain Goats only one of my coworkers had heard of them #and i assumed everypne had heard of fhem because youbbastards have them on my dashboard as much a like MCR #how am i suppsped to know they arent popular?? theyre all over my dash! everyones crying over yhe sunset tree all the time!!
