Yo I haven't done it in forever so I forgot that working at a sex shop gives you superpowers

2. There are essentially three bases used for lube: Water, Oil, and Silicone. Oil breaks down any materials other than glass or metal, and Silicone breaks down Silicone toys and sometimes condoms. Water is safe for everything but tends to dry out, so people don't like it- but if you add water or spit, drying water-based lube will slick right back up.

3. If your water-based lube has given you any itching, tightening, or burning sensations, you probably have a chemical sensitivity. Obviously everyone has different preferences, but my number one recommendation is Water Slide- it's a super reasonable price compared to other lubes, it feels natural, it's incredibly gentle on the skin, and it doesn't stain sheets.

5. You can buy toys off cheap sites if you want, just be wary of quality and ALWAYS read the product description. I personally wouldn't buy anything that isn't Silicone, stainless steel, or glass, because unlike jelly, plastic, "fantaflesh", and Silicon, (which is NOT Silicone!!!) They are non-porous, sterile, and don't melt in contact with each other. This means that as long as you clean them properly and don't use the wrong lubes, they will not hold bacteria or break down, which makes them safe for both you to reuse and your partner/s to share. (And to switch between front door/back door, so long as you wash before going back to front.)

6. Cotton and polyester bondage rope are cheap and great to practice with. Silk sounds fancy and is very strong but be advised that a lot of silk rope is "Silk(TM)", not actual silk. Read the product description. (I personally am reluctant to spend more than about $2 per foot for mass-produced synthetic rope, but could be persuaded to pay more for ACTUAL silk, nylon, handmade ropes, or especially attractive colors/patterns/textures.) You want your rope to be at least as thick as your thumb and layered to avoid lacerations, and taut (not stretchy) to be sure you're in control of how much pressure you're putting on.

7. Choking someone by pressing on the windpipe is painful and inefficient. If you want to, stay very, very light, as it's a very delicate area. If you want a head rush, press down on the sides of the windpipe, just below the corners of their lower jaw. You will feel a pulse there. That's the carotid artery. It carries oxygen to the brain. Pressing there will allow them to breathe, but will still "choke" the air going to their head. It's faster and painless. Only hold this for 3-4 seconds if you lack experience. It takes just under 15 seconds to make someone pass out from a blood choke, and after that you risk causing *permanent brain damage*. If your partner passes out, release pressure immediately and keep their airways clear. If you're the one being choked, know that your only warning will be spotty vision and a dizzy sensation. Communicate with your partner/s and for the love of God, do your research first. I'm not a doctor. Please God, please do your research.

8. Don't reduce blood flow to any part of the body for more than 20 minutes. This includes cock rings. Take a break for an hour between uses.

9. Most 'dick pills' are just a stimulant, a mild vasodilator, and a placebo. Usually mostly caffeine. They are not worth $20 apiece. Omg hi, and thank you!! I am a simple creacher that just barely dabbles in jewelry making, so I basically cobbled together some stuff I had here’s my list of materials:

Gold-plated stainless steel huggie hoops (this link offers copper-colored ones as well)

2mm open jump rings (imo would try 3mm next time, 2mm is TINY), I’d recommend 20-25 gauge but 28 is what I had on hand

Teal glass icicle/torpedo prisms (ooak I bought at an antiques store; you may have trouble finding earring-sized ones of a similar color online, as most teal ones I can find are for chandeliers)

As for how I put them together, I very carefully chained the hoops to the prisms with two jump rings on each earring with a pair of flat nose pliers (the rings are so, so small and my hands are so, so unsteady)

Also I had no idea molds for chandelier crystals was a thing! Might be handy if I decide to make my own out of resin!

psa if ur a blorb cup enthusiast and u have any that have seals or any kind of soft plastic spouts or straws etc, don't forget to wash them really good occasionally cos they can get gross and moldy and be dangerous to use;

i've currently been maining these:

they're from target tho it seems their design have changed a bit but if the lids are still the same, there's plastic seals in the lids that, with some effort, can be removed and washed. but also the first has a hard plastic spout but a soft plastic stopper in the lid that can be popped out and washed and the bottom has a soft plastic spout that can be removed and washed (and should be kinda frequent cos;; i've noticed it gets a bit grungy)

but i also use takeya bottles a lot and they THANKFULLY have replaceable seals if they get too gross which is amazing.

but ye adfkljs take ur cups/bottles apart if u can and get them a good scrubbin from time to time. straws too. if u can't take pieces off or apart, get u some good straw brushes or pipe cleaners (below) and clean that shit as best u can cos there's so many wash unfriendly bottle designs and shit is just building up in those things x - x

also this includes ANYTHING that has a tight seal/no drip advertising. even ur yeti cups have seals around the lids. TAKE THOSE BITCHES OFF AND CLEAN THEM HOLY SHIT MINE WERE SO GROSS.

In the world of Pueblo artisans, the jewelry makers are second in number to the pottery makers. Over the generations, this ancient craft has taken on numerous forms. On the meticulous end of the spectrum, there are those who make tiny beads, called heishi, first produced at today's Santo Domingo (Kewa) Pueblo in prehistoric times, with hand-pump drills and stone drill bits, and then strung as necklaces. From there, Pueblo jewelry runs from semi-precious stones set in silver to contemporary works, made with gold and precious gemstones. In between are tufa-castings (a process using a carved volcanic stone as a mold for molten silver or gold); hammered metal; handmade silver beads; choruses of tiny bird effigies carved from stone and strung; classic concho belts; large seashells covered in mosaic stonework; and some of the most prized lapidary work in the world, famously done by Zuni Pueblo artists. There are works in stainless steel cut to a fine edge, "shadow boxes" (where a design is cut out of a sheet of burnished silver, which is then affixed to an underlying piece of blackened silver, thereby creating an image in negative space), as well as bracelets, rings, bolo ties, and belt buckles, all worn today by design-savvy buyers from around the world.

Steve LaRance, of Hopi and Assiniboine heritage, gets his tufa on the Hopi Reservation from deposits created by the San Francisco Peaks. To gather what he needs, he has to drive a four-wheel drive pickup, find an isolated spot, and spend a day digging with shovels and picks. The tufa comes out in chunks, in sizes that range from bowling ball to suitcase. This will generally provide enough raw material for a year's work.

Santo Domingo is one of the Rio Grande Pueblos in Northern New Mexico. For centuries the Pueblo people have been mining turquoise at Cerrillos, south of what is now Santa Fe, and have been acquiring other turquoise from as far away as Nevada, California and Colorado.

The Pueblo jewelers traveled south to the Gulf and west to the Pacific for shell when they couldn't trade for it. Jet and red colored rock was found nearby and used in mosaics and other jewelry. Eventually coral was introduced by the Spanish and replaced the red rock. These colorful stones were made into beads and mosaics for decoration and ceremonies.

The people of Santo Domingo became known for making the best disc beads and, along with the Zuni people, for producing the best inlay in turquoise, jet, shell and coral on shell and wood bases. The jewelers of Santo Domingo still produce the finest handmade beads and mosaics. Many of their children acquire drills and learn to make beads at a very young age. Cool cat ring. How are you doing there Sweets? I just had a big thanksgiving meal and been hitting all the Black Friday deals online. I must have spent over $300 US dollars already. I bought two sterling silver rings. One with a dark blue crystal stone on top of it and skulls on the sides that I really dig. My girl bought me a silver rectangular chain link bracelet 7mm wide as my Christmas gift. I got her a fit bit smart watch and a Louis Vuitton strap band to go with it. I also got a 20” silver rolo link chain necklace 8 mm wide. 2 skull stainless steel ring that weren’t expensive but cool . I’ve been seeing were some sites are selling stainless steel jewelry for as much as silver. I won’t buy expensive stainless jewelry as silver pieces usually keep dollar value that goes up in time. Silver is an investment as I see it. I know you like skulls so I send a pic of the funky skull ring that I’m digging in another ask. I like the the Black Friday sales I’ve gotten all my Christmas gifts I’ll be giving this year on line and saved a significant amount of money. It’s nice that there doing the sales now all November long, I know retailers are loving all the business.

Hold up, I’ve got another Lucian/Peter drabble for you guys.

On with the fic!

There were shops in Vegas that knew Peter well, places that he’d go to that sold things that fit his aesthetic, his lifestyle of being gothic and rich. He lived for tacky things that you’d often see around Halloween, he loved it, even if he knew it could just be his way of coping with what happened to him as a child.

Still, it made his penthouse look fucking awesome, and his sense of style was flawlessly cool, so what the fuck ever.

He was at a shop that knew him by name now, knew what he liked best, examining jewelry. Since getting together with Lucian, Peter had to get rid of his silver stuff, the girls at work happily taking some items, and people online bought things up, but he needed to replace them with stainless steel.

Gold too, that was always nice, made him flashy, yeah, but he had the money, and gold looked cool with the right outfit.

He was staring at a few rings, tempted with one that looked like a wolf, but his attention drifted to a set of necklaces. One gold, one that looked like it was silver. The gold one was of a sun, with what looked to be an agate stone for the center of it. The other was a crescent moon, quartz, he suspected. He knew a few stones, had dated some people into that whole crystal scene (Peter thought it was bullshit, outside of the stuff he knew could actually work on monsters. Or looked really cool on skull-based decorations).

“Hey, Tam.” He called out to the person behind the counter. “This little sun and moon set, is the moon silver?”

Tam came over, looking down at what Peter was pointed at in the glass case. “Nah, that’s stainless steel.”

“Cool, cool, cause my boyfriend, he’s... allergic to silver, ya know?”

They snorted, grinning. “What, is he, like, a werewolf or something?”

“Well, he can be hairy like one.” Peter commented, really not wanting to go into details that they were sort of right. Technically, lycans were different from werewolves, as Lucian liked to point out.

“Yeah, I know a few dudes like that.” Tam shrugged, toying with a lock of their red hair. “You thinking about getting that set?”

“Do you think it’d look tacky? Matching necklaces?”

“Peter, my friend, it’s only tacky if you don’t have things to match it.”

Can’t argue with that.

Lucian looked at the plastic bag that was set on his lap. “What’s this?”

“A present.” Peter said as he sat down on the couch, right up against Lucian’s side. “Went to get some jewelry, found something I liked for you.”

“I don’t wear jewelry.” Said the man who was almost always wearing an ancient, golden amulet belonging to his vampire wife.

“Yeah, well... at least look at it.” Peter scoffed, trying to hide the fact that he was self conscious about the gift now.

Lucian opened the bag and looked inside, lifting up the only item that remained inside after Peter removed the rest. He held up the moon necklace, staring at it. “You know the full moon is associated with me, yes?”

“Yeah, well, you can change without it, shut up!” Peter was really embarrassed, shit, this was a terrible idea.

“It is rather lovely though.” Lucian said, honestly. “It’s better than you getting me something with a wolf on it.”

“Oh, no, I got a ring like that for myself, babe. But I got a matchin’ necklace!” He pulled it out from the inside of his shirt, showing the sun off. “Ta-da!”

“Why the sun?”

“Cause it matches! And cause it’s, like, opposite of a vampire, or whatever! Stop looking at me like that!”

“Like what?”

“Like you’re all charmed and fond of my weird antics-! There! That look! That dumb, cute smile! I’m gonna kiss it off your face!”

“I wouldn’t mind you doing that, but I do like the gift, it’s very lovely, Peter, thank you.” He kissed Peter on the cheek before slipping it over his head. “It’s nice to have two reminders of my loves around my neck.”

Peter groaned, hiding his face against Lucian’s side. “Oh my God, stop, you absolute sap.” Really though, he didn’t want Lucian to stop, damn this wolf and his sweet words.

It is tacky, but there’s something really cute about the idea of Peter getting Lucian a gift like that, something that is more Peter’s style, but still, Lucian appreciates the gesture.
