Overhead pulls vs pull downs
Many ways to work your triceps out - many ways to work all your muscles in fact!
Which exercise you choose will depend on what your body morphology is like - you may find one method works better for you than another
It also comes down to what you are using this muscle for - triceps are used when we are pushing something - so if in your day to day you tend to push or throw something from overhead I would suggest the overhead pulls.
If you tend to push down (trying to think of a sport other than basketball where you bounce the ball downwards) then pulldowns might be a better option
You will also find that you can move more weight with one exercise than the other - this is due to how strong your core is and overall balance
