one of my favourite things is imagining pining loid. while pining yor is sweet, i much prefer the idea of loid freaking out about being in love. it just makes me so happy. hes a spy, and we know hes had relationships with people in the past for the sake of his missions, so the idea of him falling in love for real and freaking out about it is so sweet. he might be really smooth when hes trying to win over people he needs to use but when it comes to yor, someone hes ACTUALLY in love with, hes an absolute mess. he constantly messes up his words, blushes very easily, gets distracted because he cant take his eyes of her etc etc. meanwhile, poor yor thinks shes done something wrong because loid cant look her in the eyes and its all because loid knows he’ll want to just kiss her if he looks into them. the idea of him accepting his feelings for yor and realising that he wants to be more than just fake husband and wife but actual partners, is so so heartwarming to me.

this fic feels like a book to me if i was already invested in the characters. it revolves around yor, who gets an assignment to find out where a bunch of trafficked girls are being kept by the asshole of the millenium, vito cohen. it is also post reveal, post relationship twiyor. this fic has dark moments just by virtue of the subject matter, but none of it feels gratuitous if that makes sense? like every bit of violence lends to the whole picture. there are also some Steamy ™ twiyor moments, which are easily skippable if that's not your thing, but their whole relationship here is just written so well. the trust is there and the protective loid vibes are 👌 i m m a c u l a t e

this one is formatted as a collection of letters and i am OBSESSED. i think the author does a very good job getting the character voices down, and the fact that the progression in their relationship is clear despite being in this letter format will never cease to amaze me. it's also incredibly consistent and has cute 'ciphers' at the top that are used to disguise the letters. this one is also post reveal, and kinda follows what happens immediately after. some bits are outside the letter format, but for the most part, it's loid and yor writing to each other. love

i love me a good ol 5+1 fic, and this one did not disappoint 😌 i especially liked how the thing that is being counted here (you know, the "five times x and one time x") is not explicitly stated each time. it's something that is as slowly revealed to the reader as it is to the characters, which is a nice touch. and there are more things you catch after a reread, which i am also a great fan of!

WOOOO TIME LOOP FIC! yet another thing that i am a fan of :DD although HEED THE WARNING because there IS violence but there is also a happy ending. this fic follows twilight as he goes through the same day over and over again and tries not to die a horrific death forever. mans gets more trauma, BUT he also gets character progression and a happy ending so fair trade off right 🤔 (yes. the answer is yes)

Longing for Anya angst. Like obviously I love Loid and Yor, those guys have so many issues, but I would LOVE more Anya focused angst.
She has to hear every single thing people are thinking about, at all times. As she grows, her powers start to weigh on her more.
As a little kid she didn’t fully understand some people’s thoughts, didn’t have the context for it, but as she grows up she understands it more. She starts seeing things as they are, starts noticing cruel intent more.
She becomes “weirder” to outsiders. Almost uncanny. She knows people’s secrets very, very well, but doesn’t really talk to anyone other than Becky. Despite how dense she is, she’s strangely perceptive. She stares at you like she knows what you’re thinking. But that’s impossible… right?
And if Loid and Yor don’t know? Imagine, they know something’s wrong with Anya, but they can’t figure it out. It could just be normal teenage problems. They hope it’s just teenage problems.

YESSS my time has come :D
Over half his life by mysterious_intentions continues to reign supreme. It's currently the most kudosed sxf / DamiAnya fic and for good reason! It's a classic, so cute and fluffy, and you can easily imagine for it to be canon in the future! A great starting point!
I am soooo trash for Your Ex Lover Is Not Quite Dead by TheLoonWatches. It's a personal favourite of mine, and when I finished it I was just devastated. It’s a bad ending fic in every way possible and it hurts so good. That fic is also a great inspiration to my future angst fics and I love love LOVE it so much. The prose is simply beautiful and heartbreaking. It also happens to be the first fic listed in the archive so!! What a classic!
i dropped your hand while dancing, left you out there standing by not_your_darling is CRIMINALLY underrated. I had to go through several pages (sorted by kudos) to find it and it honestly deserves so much more attention. It’s a Taylor Swift champagne problems fic (which imo is a song that fits them really well), future angst fic, Anya can’t marry Damian because of various reasons, you get the drill. Another one of my inspirations. This one along with Your Ex Lover Is Not Quite Dead changed my brain chemistry lol. The rest of the fics in the series, purely artificial, are also a good read.
You can’t keep a secret forever by Kadhi is also AMAZING. I think it’s one of the best ways to tie up aged up and married DamiAnya, and it was just really satisfying and joyful to read it. Anya tells Damian the truth about her powers and he does his best to surprise her. Genuinely a perfect ending for those two and it’s sooo sweet. It’s one of the first fics I read on tumblr and I’m so glad to find it again on ao3! :D
... I think I’ve read most of the fics in the archive (except the smut ones) and a lot of them are good but I’ll just list my absolute favs now. Thanks for the ask! :D
