Step 2: Set an intention

Always remember that it is important to set your intention when smudging; what do you want to achieve with the smudging process? A happier family? To clear negativity after an argument? The more specific you are the better. It can be beneficial to solidify your intent with the use of a smudging prayer which can be simple or elaborate, as sweetgrass is believed to carry your words to the creator. The most important thing is that the words mean something to you. Here are a couple of short examples below:

“I pray for the health and wellness of my family.” “Thank you for protecting this home and my loved ones.”

Step 3: Relax and cleanse your spirit

Once you are done, you can leave the sweetgrass in a fireproof bowl to burn down on its own. It is also a good idea to sit and relax in the area you have cleansed, to inhale the sweet scent and cleanse yourself too!

Many people choose to burn sweetgrass and sage together as sage works to intensity the cleansing properties of sweetgrass.

I used this bracelet in my practice many times as a Reiki master teacher.

These blessed yarn bracelets work in comparison to gemstones yet are different.

They are meant to be worn or carried with you, used to set intentions, or use as a type of rosary. There are special sacred prayers you can say to each of the goddesses or angels per each bracelet.

There are general prayers you can say or recite.

You find one or more that registers with you and or the day.

They can be placed in specific areas such as on an altar, tied around a candle or something special and sacred, inside your pillowcase, or carried with you in your pocket or purse, anywhere else strategic that would assist you throughout the day if you did not want to wear it on your wrist.

I think the best thing about Heaven Official's Blessing is the absolute whiplash in tone it gives you. Volume 6 goes from the comedy gold of Xie Lian going, "Oh, Hua Cheng can always find me because of the red string tied around our fingers. No, not like the red string of fate or anything...totally different. What do you mean it's literally the same thing?" to being stabbed a hundred times and witnessing everyone he loves either kill themselves or leave him.

reading the novel, i love how blatantly indulgent of the juniors lan wangji is. when he was their age, he was duelling wei wuxian over broken rules and lived his life by behaving as precisely as what was expected of him, and now as an adult, he's basically letting the juniors do whatever they want as long as it isn't unsafe and generally letting the kids act like kids

which leaves wei wuxian to have to be the one playing bad cop. wei "has never followed anyone else's rules in his life" "bane of lan qiren's existence" "public enemy number one" wuxian has to be the one being like "oh my god don't burn money on someone else's doorstep, don't you know that's rude. you kids need to focus on your studies more, why isn't anyone teaching you anything useful, do i have to do everything myself around here"
