Straight out of the movies to reality!

Remember all those movies where a giant asteroid was threatening Earth and the only way to prevent that is to hit it and divert it from its orbit?

So this week NASA turned it into a crazy reality.

In the context of a special NASA mission called Dart a spacecraft was sent to a distance of 11 million kilometers in order to hit the small asteroid "Dimorphosis" that were about 160 meters.

And we have an injury - exactly on Tuesday night at 02:14 (according to Israel clock) the small blister hit an asteroid. The moment of the explosion was captured by one of the satellites aimed at the asteroid and the picture was broadcast worldwide.

In the next few days NASA will continue to monitor the asteroid to make sure that it is really a host in its orbit.

And as NASA concluded the experiment: "From now on you can sleep better at night"

Look where I just landed... 🤗 A model of the Genesis 1 spacecraft is currently displayed on one of the most central stages in the world for the space field - IAC Conference 2022 that will be held these days in Paris! The congress brings together all key people from the space field who come from no more than 80 countries! The model of our Genesis, can be found in the pavilion of the aviation industry along with other advanced and innovative Israeli developments. And look who came to represent us with respect - Shimon Sarid CEO of the association who traveled to the convention in order to create new and interesting collaborations and tell about our new moon mission Genesis 2. So wish us luck...
