I just love olimar. I just really enjoy that man #also this really got me flexing those bande dessinée muscles from back thens lol #Ive missed drawin with this kinda proportions... I need to make my life harder to explain to strangers #I also wanna. add more details to his space suit. make it look more like real life space suit for fun & entertainment #man I enjoy the animals in pikmin so much. they really are just like. animals. theyre animals #its great I love how genuinely bug-lookin the bugs are even with the stylization. pikmin and pokemon are really good at that #would like to learn how to do that... sometimes in the future #oh yeah fun fact. my effort at cleaning up my undercut a few days ago went badly. right before I went to a family reunion thing for 2 days #so I was goin out of my mind at that event postin abt olimar bc I love him #and then. when I got home. I decided to shave my head instead of trying to fix the haircut again #and so the sequence of events becomes I post about olimar -> I enter my bald arc #I am okay with this. have a good night lads. binding books is actually really fun u should try it

#this isnt vent dw!!! i dont smoke either i was just kinda going for some sort of vibe #i know its usually played for laughs or like. dark humor whenever ppl draw mascots without their heads and u can see the actor #but i always found it fascinating and a little sobering. ever since i was a kid ive always been hyperaware of ppl in costumes #like. even if i tried to block it out id be thinking the whole time 'its not real. theres a person in that suit who gets paid to do this'#it used to be an uncomfortable nagging feeling but now its like. oh yeah theres someone with a whole life story doing this. idk #i think when i tell ppl im not conscious of my body its like. im not dysphoric or experience dissociation but. at the same time #it feels like my physical body doesnt fully outwardly represent me..?? like some sort of costume #i like to phrase it as being a giant hairless mecha and inside theres a very tiny puppy piloting the damn thing #and the other thing is. when i draw my sona i dont really see it as what i /wish/ i looked like or how i want people to see me #its like being in a costume and just. fucking around with some sort of barrier between myself and others #plus mascots arent allowed to talk and i dont really. engage with other ppl in public spaces that it kinda feels like ad lib #i share a lot abt my life but ironically im also a private person..... i guess it just gives me some sort of control over my identity #my art #myart #my oc #sona #mascot #furry #??? is this furry art????#twinkle #puppysona #edit: had to outline it bc i just realized it looks really weird on dark mode -_-

#pizza tower #peppino #arts #mine #i have a thing where i make something curved and draw it very fast #and that makes me draw his nose so small compared to his sprite bc im trying to make the nose in one stroke #so i revisited some old concept art n sprites on the wiki #the one where hes in a fancy suit and he looks kinda confused??? i love it so much it lives in my head rent free #i want to capture that in my art for him #i should do some sprite redraws then to help #hes got like #not necessarily a square jaw but hes got a big jaw and chin; lots of space between his mouth and the bottom of his chin #and that just does not mesh well w the way my brain WANTS to draw him #so i think. bigger eyes and nose and more space than i usually allow between his chin and mouth #i SHOULD just sketch in my book to help w making my lines more natural again but weughh #anyway peppino is cute and i wanna go back to the way i drew him back in my pepperman comic bc i can feel myself slackin

The Roombabot Diaries

"Even without full scan function, I still had my dark vision filters and my own mapping data, so with the fixed point of the corridor hatch, I could retrace my steps to the ramp. It just looked awkward and stupid because for the first part I had to navigate like a floor-cleaning bot." - Martha Wells, System Collapse (Video and audio description below the cut)

Murderbot is wandering around a dark space, the sound of its footsteps on the stone floor are audible. It walks in a straight line to the right until it hits a pillar with an audible 'thunk' noise and stops. A grumpy smiley face appears next to it.

It recalibrates, making little chirping calibrating sounds, then turns and moves towards the viewer until it seems to hit the camera (again with a 'thunk' noise and a little frowny smiley face next to it) and recalibrates again.

It turns its back to the viewer and starts walking again, this time seemingly hitting the wall in the back. It recalibrates again, then turns to the right and starts walking again. After a few seconds it stops briefly, two exclamation marks appear next to it along with a beeping noise, then it quickly walks out of frame.

Mostly a ref of the thermal suits the Koopalings wear in the Space Orcs AU, when they're out in space/visiting planets with low temperatures. The design's the same for each one with different colors to match each sib.

As stated above, Ludwig is the only one out of the eight who wears his constantly, due to fear of brumation. He's never gone into such a deep sleep before, and fears he'll never wake up if he does. Nobody knows about this secret fear except Lemmy, with everyone else just assuming he likes the design or feel of the suit.

Lud and the rest of the 'lings each have a magic crown instead of a wand. Like the normal 'verse, the others changed their crowns into accessories they like better (Larry and Wendy's necklaces, Lemmy's ring, Iggy's hair tie, etc.), while Lud kept his crown as is.

Story-wise, Lud meets Dal and the Bros. while the gang's searching for leads on Junior's home. Originally I had it where Ludwig was looking for Junior on his own, but after rethinking it for a bit, I'll say that B-Junes ain't the only one lost; all eight of them are. What starts as a journey to help one lost kid becomes a series of search-and-rescue missions as Mario, Luigi, and Dalex jump from planet to planet in search of their little turtle friend's family once they realize what Junior's trying to say. Think Mario Galaxy combined with Pikmin 4, basically.

Not sure when Lud specifically gets rescued, though I might go in the order you typically fight them in, meaning Lud's found last. By then, Iggy's developed a makeshift translator so the humans and Koopas can finally understand each other, but beating the language barrier isn't enough to get Lud to trust them right away...
