So, I finally got to the hospital. Helena is,..hurt. She’s covered in bruises, how she managed to stumble in here by herself I have no idea.
I’ve been with her the whole time. We’ve talked and laughed and cried a little, but there is something building inside me I can’t let her see.
Relief? Worry. Love? Rage. It’s confusing and it hurts and I’m nauseous every time I’m alone and have to think about it.
I will stay with Helena until she is better. We will return to the orchard and she will be safe.

Hello Miss! I was reading your gardening post and was wondering, can you feed a Trubbish compost or would normal trash be the best thing for them? Can they also be fed scraps?

League standard Trubbish can eat anything you would throw into the garbage can, which includes kitchen scraps and even rotting leftovers. I would not recommend feeding them compost, only because it would be a waste of good growing material. A few other items that standard Trubbish should not eat include batteries and medical sharps, which should be disposed of properly and not thrown away in the regular garbage can. There are, however, variants of Trubbish that can eat each of those things. These variants live near waste deposit sites and evolved to be able to process the specific waste they were near.

Happy Halloween and Welcome to Winter Solstice, a 7-day holiday that starts at discount-Christmas-minus-the-coke branding and ends with discount-Silvester aka the actual solstice at the end of the year. Holiday lore exists but isn’t important rn so-
As every year, Yel‘s got a job to do. You‘d think people would learn after a while to not buy presents that need to be shipped up a mountain 3 days before the fest, but nope! Aside from that, stroll through the Christmas solstice markets, visit parents, meticulously plan presents, bake lots of comfy food, wear ugly sweaters unironically, all of these combined, lecture everyone on fireworks safety like every year and get inevitably disappointed 80% didn’t listen and the day after solstice will be filled with shipping health potions, lawsuits, and worrying about the local wildlife.
Meanwhile Mage has holiday shopping fevers to bank on and a cozy shop that’ll protect from the dreaded cold. Until the day itself arrives, homepal ain’t leaving the house any time soon (except to decorate the whole place with fairy lights that customers can buy for a totally reasonable price alongside fireworks.)
Deniz n Red got pretty much the same plans. Visit some markets, eat all the food, enjoy the vibes for a while, and then travel for a bit. Deniz back to his home, while Red visits some of the other places she’s been to back during her adventuring.
And then Violet is kinda doing everything. Girl‘s finally able to experience it all from up close and on her own accord instead of being forced to whatever formal events up high a castle, so she’ll take that chance- the markets, the shopping, sight seeing, checking out holiday event stuffs, bake stuff, try to cook stuff, go wild on the decorations, everything there is minus the family part.
While day 1 and 7 are the "main“ holiday…days, Deniz, Red, and Mage all only really celebrate day 7, the actual Winter Solstice. Yel and Violet do both!
Though while everyone minus Yel is still around for not-Chistmas, it leads to her being alone during Solstice. And the town celebration is great! It’s fun, and comfy, and warmer than the cold marble floors could ever be! Yet after the last rockets have flown, it’s a bit…quiet. Everyone else is off to visit someone, but she kinda can’t anymore. Well… except a certain merchant who she knows isn’t gonna sleep before 4am, so.
Despite the underlying negative tension that tends to rise between the two when no one else is around to distract them, Violet goes over there. And while very much awkward at first, they manage to chill, talk, do whatever to keep each other company until it really gets too late. Its…nice. And actually turns into a yearly thing- Mage gets dragged outside by Violet to properly celebrate solstice at the square instead of looking from afar at home, and in turn Violet chills at said home for a while once the fireworks start dying down to hang out.
…and then the very next day they go back to their usual Spiel of more or less "I hate you for being a walking reminder of all my shortcomings so stop being cool to hang out with pls “. Yea

I don't like how the birthdays from stardew valley are set up in the real world. Like most of December is in the fall according to the solstice but Sebastian's birthday is winter 10 and we've decided it's December 10th.
Nah, let's give all the characters accurate birthdays in accordance with the seasons.
I'll set it up 2 ways:
1. Taking the earliest dates of each solstice and equinox that defines the seasons and dividing that by 28 (number of days in a stardew valley season) then multiplied that number by the NPC's bday (I'll explain the math later)
2. Taking the average amount of days in-between each IRL season and dividing that by 28
Earliest dates are as follows:
Spring March 19
Summer June 20
Autumn September 21
Winter December 20
The length of each season in this method is
91 days for spring
93 days for summer
90 days for fall
90 days for winter
The average days in between is 91.5 days.
Dividing by 28 we get
3.25 Spring
3.32142857 Summer
3.2142857 Autumn / Winter
3.267857142857143 Average
These numbers are the difference between our real world dates and stardew valley dates
Our season are about 90 days long, their's are 28 days so
1 day for stardew players is about 3 days for us.
Now that we have these numbers let's find out how each day correlates to each villager.
It will be in order of earliest birthday to latest and will follow this format

ok just a list of even more questions re: Ruidus and its creation and society and basically everything
How much of the creation myths are true? Are bormodos descended from dwarves or halflings or something, or were they drastically changed by Predathos, or something in between? Were cytaa lizardfolk once?
Similarly are Reilora entirely of Predathos or do they have an Exandrian counterpart?
Absolutely fucking wild guess here that's almost certainly wrong but also this took place in the Founding and we don't even know how long the Age of Arcanum was; are bormodos and cytaa and reilora somehow truer to what Exandria was at the time, a la how the North American English accent is arguably closer to the 1600s British English Accent than many modern British accents are?
(my planetary science knowledge is limited and I respect if Matt "oh shit forgot about the polar day/night cycle in the summer in the arctic" Mercer decides to handwave that because frankly you can just say Magic! but why does Ruidus have similar gravity to the much larger Exandria as well as a seemingly comparable atmosphere)
How much of the "design" claimed in the Imperium's religion is in fact deliberate and how much is simply claimed? Are flares purposeful or involuntary? Are they made by Predathos or by the Weave Mind or by Ludinus's bullshit at this point?
Not a question so much as an observation but given that traditionally psionics are INT based in D&D and the Vanguard is sorcerers this explains a whole lot about how dysfunctional it is as an organization: in keeping with the sorcerer theme, it's the most "dish it out but can't take it" group of people that ever existed. You could DEVASTATE these CHA-based fools with a well-placed Synaptic Static, psychic resistance or no.
Did Otohan discover the method by which one became Exaltant via her experiences in the war? This would explain a lot and be literally by far the most interesting thing about her.
Literally though how would one of the Vanguard members who joined due to religious trauma respond to being taken to The Religious Trauma Capital? Are they all going to turn around and be like "well now I'm the one in power, so it's okay" (which is not uncommon as a response irl and would be fascinating to unpack) or are some of them going to turn upon realizing they're just trading one religion for another?
How long ago did the Vanguard and Imperium begin collaborating? For that matter, when did Ludinus specifically get involved given that only Exaltants could do anything with Reilora prior to the solstice?
The most recent Reilora Imogen summoned was not of the Imperium, but Kadija noted that the kinder Reilora Exaltants met in their dreams were sometimes replaced by more aggressive Reilora. Is it a crapshoot whether she summons a Reilora friendly to her cause or unfriendly? Is this also true of the Vanguard Exaltants?

Personal shoutout to cis ppl bc ngl i’m feeling real scared with all The Horrors in my country and seeing support from ppl who are not trans and also especially cis women (given that i personally am a trans woman) affirming that i’m welcomed and supported is an absolute lifeline rn, all the more so considering i’m aiming to come out publicly around the solstice and am going to my first irl Gay Ppl Gathering next week so i am Nervous and it helps to know everyone in the world is not waiting for their moment to enter the ring with a steel chair.
