The extravagant wardrobes of the old English middle classes are a far-flung fantasy for Steven Stokey-Daley. Still, it’s the codes of this very clothing that the Liverpool-born designer, who just graduated from University of Westminster’s Fashion (BA), explores and queers. Think crocheted boating hats, linen shirts that resemble tablecloths and billowing wide-legged trousers in corduroys and floral patterns. They seem tailor-made for an even more queer take on James Ivory’s gay love story, Maurice. Harry Styles, it seems, loves them too.
Steven has spent the past seven months of locked-down life working on his eponymous young brand, S.S.DALEY. Things were going well for him, items on his webstore sold out -- and then Harry Styles appeared on the cover of his new single “Golden”, clothesless, save for a rain hat and a pair of Steven’s ‘Sebastian’ trousers. Things, subsequently, went mental.
This week has seen the video for the song drop too. In it, courtesy of the fine curatorial eye of stylist Harry Lambert, Harry S wears pretty much one big, sexy, loose-fitting sartorial piece for the duration of the video: an S.S.DALEY ‘Hall’ Tennant shirt.
These pieces are lifted from his AW20 graduate collection “The Inalienable Right”, which explores homosociality, portrayals of public school boys, and all of the frivolity that entails. Just when you think that designs that feel effusively British are a shallow well that has been drained dry, here is Steven Stokey-Daley: a lad twisting those references into something that pays homage to pretty while still scrutinising and reinventing its roots.
Here, just hours after the world came to know his name, i-D spoke to Steven about his time at University of Westminster, launching his eponymous brand and what it’s like to work with the sexiest pop star on the planet.
You graduated from the University of Westminster's BA Fashion course this year. What did you spend that time exploring, thematically and design wise? I spent most of my time at Westminster experimenting with design. Making the most of fashion education is about being hands on, trying everything and not limiting yourself too soon. I had the pleasure of being taught by the wonderful Stephanie Cooper (now teaches at Central Saint Martins) who taught me everything I know about volume and silhouette. Over the years, I have explored class in the UK and how it's reflected in fashion. Coming from an ex-council estate in Liverpool and being gay, I didn’t truly resonate with the codes of dress I was surrounded by, so when I came to study in Harrow (Westminster campus) and see first-hand the merchant ivory realm of reality; I was completely enraptured. I studied theatre for years and I’m a member of the National Youth Theatre so there was something theatrical about seeing Eton regatta traditionalism for the first time; it was almost Brechtian in its alienation. This space I was enamoured by wasn’t meant for me and I think that’s what feels radical about it.
You’ve interned at Tom Ford and Alexander McQueen, as well as at fashion publications. Yet you came out of university and launched an eponymous brand. What did the experience of working under others teach you? I learned so much working for big brands; some brilliant experiences that helped hone my key skills. I feel like a traveller in that regard, picking up different things from different work experiences. McQueen menswear was a true delight and an experience I’ll value forever; I learned so much there that has allowed me to do what I’m doing now. I worked for publications, and I told everyone I knew they should do the same thing in order to understand the flipside of how the industry works. Working under people, respecting the chain of command from big brands to smaller ones also provided me with examples of how (and how not) to treat people you expect to work with successfully. When creating my AW20 collection, I had the most wonderful group of interns and found that creating a respectful and enjoyable work environment ensured the best team results. Thankfully, I think the 90s ‘killer fashion’ days are phasing out -- but there’s still some way to go!
What were the limitations for you, in terms of setting up your brand, and who did you turn to to help overcome them? Setting up my own brand sort of happened really naturally and organically. When Louis Rubi posted a photo in my AW20 floral trousers, I had so many requests for orders. This was the peak of lockdown and things felt bleak, but I decided to, one by one, try and fulfil the requests with the help of my boyfriend Leo who was locked down with me. (He never wants to see fabric scissors or sewing needles ever again). It progressed from there! Sarah Mower was a constant source of support during lockdown too. She really made it possible for me to actually consider making this a reality -- she does an awful lot to support students behind the scenes.
Your work leans towards the traditionalist and sartorial. Were you hoping to find something radical within that space? The traditionalist and sartorial references feel radical because they aren’t meant for me with my background. I also think there are micro-radicalisms within my approach to design, applying details of typically working class pieces (A Gannex coat, for example) to sartorial outerwear cut in a tattersall check, subverting the functionality of the elite codes of dress.
At what point did Harry Lambert reach out to you about Harry Styles? Was there a brief for this project in particular? Harry Lambert (a genius) is a huge supporter of students and small brands, and he did a call out for students via Instagram stories for an editorial. I hadn’t met him before but still I sent him my lookbook. He replied saying that it wasn’t right for the shoot, but he had something else coming up that it could work for: “a project with Harry Styles”. I couldn’t believe it. Both Harry Lambert and Harry Styles have been incredible in supporting my work.
Half a million people watched your work as the “Golden” video debuted on YouTube. Two days later it has 20 million views. Can you describe how that feels? Seeing the view count of the video, knowing that for the majority of it he is wearing the S.S.DALEY ‘Hall’ shirt the whole way through is just phenomenal. It’s utterly surreal.

Survey #452
“what i’ve felt, what i’ve known, never shined doing what i’ve shown  /  never free, never me, so i dub thee unforgiven”
Are you a part of the LGBTQ+ community? I am. Do you have Tiktok? Are you addicted? I don't. Do you enjoy being outside? IF it's cool outside, yes. Do you like being around kids? No, not really. Have you ever gotten Covid-19? No. What's your ethnicity? Caucasian. If you were president, what's the first change you would make? I'd probably put in place free healthcare first. What is an animal that you'd like to have as a pet but it's not allowed? If an animal shouldn't be a pet, there's a reason. So none. What was your favorite meal as as kid? Has it changed now? It was spaghetti. I still love it, but it's not my favorite now. Which doctor is your least favorite? Primary, eye, dentist, gynecologist, etc. Potential TMI answer follows. So, the VERY easy answer is gynecologist. Like, I've never even BEEN to one because I'm too scared. Not because I think they'll find anything wrong, but because I'm just very self-conscious about stuff like that and I do fucking not want some random stranger laying a goddamn finger on me like that. My doctor is really pushing me to go by now though as a safety precaution, but I just really, really don't want to. Do you feel that you'd be any good at solving a murder? No. I'm so clueless. You own a dragon, but it doesn't breathe fire; what comes out instead? Water, I guess? That could be beneficial in a lot of ways. Have you ever been sprayed by a giant rain puddle when a car passed by? No. Do you remember the last movie you saw while on a date? Yeah, IT with Girt. What color is your iPod? Hot pink. Do you think baby clothes are adorable? Ha ha yeah, I just tend to like miniature things in general, and babies are just... miniature humans lmao. Whose house did you last sleep over at? Sara's. If you could adopt 3 unique pets, what would you get? A plains hognose morph (probably a lavender, or snow?), a Brazilian black tarantula, andddd... an African fat-tailed gecko morph. What grade are you in, if you’re still in school? I'm not in school. Do you get a lot of tourists in the area where you live? Hell no, there's not shit here. Do you enjoy watching vlogs? Only occasionally by certain people I like. What was the last new video game you were excited about? It really sucks I don't have the appropriate console to play it myself, but I was SUPER stoked for Resident Evil 8: Village to be released and literally watched like four different playthroughs at the same time, ha ha. Have you ever talked about your period with a guy? Were they okay with it, or grossed out? In a three-and-a-half years intimate relationship, it obviously came up before. He didn't care, because he wasn't 12. Have you ever been to small church/bible group/study? Forced to or wanted to? I was forced to go to Sunday school, as well as church. Have you ever been to an Asian (any type) market? If so, what is the closest one to you? I've never seen one here, even. How would you feel if your significant other had tattoos? That'd be a bonus to how physically attracted I was to them, probably, lol. I just love tattoos. Where was the last place on your body that you felt physical pain? My uterus is screaming. :') What are you listening to right now? I am fucking unhealthily obsessed with Violet Orlandi & Skar's cover of "The Unforgiven" by Metallica lkasdjkflawjerwr like I will not stop listening to it lol. Last person you texted? My mom. Have you ever gone out of your way to make someone happy? Yes. Is there a certain person that makes you feel safe? My mom. Have you ever used a chainsaw? Nooo, and I don't want to. Do you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa? crihmuh Ever been so stunned, no words came out? Oh yes. Ever written that you were going to end your life? I have. I was fucking stupid and made a suicide note on Facebook. I genuinely wanted everyone on there to know what they meant to me, so like it seriously wasn't for attention, which I still worry people think that. Ever put fake bugs around your house to scare someone? Not to scare people, no. I have two faux tarantulas in my room as decor, though. Is there a reason you have the name you do? Not particularly. My parents just liked it, ig. Choose: the best song by Green Day? Aw, that's way too hard! I love Green Day. I guess if I absolutely had to pick, maybe "21 Guns." It's just a truly beautiful song. Have you ever tried to “save”, or “fix” someone, before? No. I don't believe that works and only damages you. Were ethics discovered or invented? That's a good question. I really can't say I know. Do you put effort into getting tan during the summer? Nah. Are you a fairly self-motivated person? NO. I need external motivation pretty badly. Be honest, does the person you like actually deserve you? Or are they actually not worthy of your affections? I don't deserve him. List 5 things that have been on your mind most recently. 1.) wtf I feel about Girt and wtf to do about it; 2.) my weight; 3.) what job I'm going to search for once I make progress at the gym; 4.) whether or not to quit photography and focus my efforts elsewhere; and 5.), as always, Jason. What is better, history or science? Science is way more interesting. Do you flinch at the sight of blood? No. Do you enjoy swimming? Yeah. When you swear, is it usually in general or directed at someone? In general. I don't generally swear at people. Are any of your friends hoping to be famous one day? Yeah; I've got a couple of musician friends. Who would you kiss right now if you could kiss anyone? GO AWAY Ever slapped a guy in the face? No. I don't hit people. Do you think you’re a good friend? I sure try to be. Have you ever thrown your cell phone in anger? When? I have on only one occasion when I Jason and I were texting and he pissed me off. I don't remember what we were even talking about now. My phone was fine btw, ha ha, I didn't like, chuck it. What color of hair do you find the sexiest on the opposite gender? Out of the natural hair colors, black. But I really like hair that's dyed exotic colors on like... anyone. Have you slept over at a member of the opposite sex’s house in their bed? Yeah. When you lost your virginity, were you sober? Yeah. Have you ever given your phone number to somebody you met online? Quite a few people, actually. Most of my friendships are online. On average, how much does gas cost where you live? When I was out today, it was $2.99. Why are you happy? Who said I was? I'm not happy. What is in your pocket? Nothing. What was the worst feeling you last felt? Severe indecision. Worthlessness. Yesterday had some grim periods. What would you name your future son? I always answer with the first name, "Damien," so let's see about a middle name... uhhhh... maybe Damien James? I'm not really sure about a middle name, but that sounds nice. What are you waiting for? Girt to message me back. He barely touches Facebook, so I can't blame him, but I wanna plan a day for him to visit and we can hang and I can decide what the fuck it is I feel towards him. What takes your breath away? Big waterfalls, to name a major one. What fact of life would you rather not know about? That the world doesn't give a fuck about you. It sounds super pessimistic, I know, but it doesn't. There is no sentience to it, no will to keep you safe and happy, it just... exists, and we're thrown onto it to figure it out. Unfair things happen. That's life. ... Damn, this answer was dark lol. What’re a few things that automatically make you go, “Awww?” Meerkat pups doing so much as blinking, guys being really cute with kids, seeing elderly couples holding hands and just generally being precious, proposals (especially gay ones just because of how hard that was fought for), seeing literally any picture in existence of Mark and Amy together, veterans coming home and their dogs freaking out... Man, a lot of things. This question brightened my mood to think about. :') Are you easily scared by horror movies? Nah. You just got a free plane ticket to anywhere. You have to depart right now. Where are you gonna go? Illinois to visit Sara. :') I really wanna hang. Do you know anyone with the same birthday as you? No, but a former best friend had her bday a day before mine. Are you wearing a ring? I always wear two. Do you hate to hug people? No, I love hugs. How many rooms does your house consist of? Seven. If you could be on any TV show, which would it be and why? Can I be a Pokemon trainer, pls???? What would you want to be famous for? Most ideally, a great wildlife photographer. The kind photography students would see and be inspired by. Do you sleep with a stuffed animal? No, I sleep with a real animal, ha ha. What is your favorite brand of hairspray? I don’t have one. What is in your backyard? Not very much... I'm barely ever even out there, so I barely know. There's one shed, a small tree, and uh... idk. Who is/was your favorite teacher? I have a few. Mrs. Whitley, Mr. Proctor, Coach Collie, and Miss Tobey are some. What’s your favorite non-sexual thing to do with a girl/boy? Play video games together. Do you cheer for the bad guy? Ha, I have a tendency to do that... Would you rather start a new career or a new relationship? Career. I want one so very badly. Something on the human body that grossest you out the most: So even though I am sexually attracted to any gender, nevertheless, genitalia gross me the fuck out. Either kind. Penises especially though like what the fuck- Do you think it’s easier to raise a boy a girl? Why? From most parents, I've heard boys are much easier because girls (supposedly) tend to have more of an attitude. What is your favorite strawberry flavored food? Strawberry is generally my favorite flavor for like, everything, so this is just about impossible. Maybe uhhh slushies? What is the oldest video game system you’ve played? An Atari.

So @lesbian-space-ranger and I accidentally created a new Zosan AU that we’ve been talking about since last night. A note: half of this is me summarizing, half of it is pulled directly from Discord because Cas (lesbian-space-ranger) has such great ideas.
This is a long post. I don’t feel like putting it under a read more. So. Enjoy. Or keep scrolling. Either works.
So this post happened
Tumblr media
These roles just came to me. Didn’t need to give it much thought because Sanji has the appearance and demeanor of a lead singer and I like the idea of him using his skilled hands to play piano at the same time.
I also watched the movie Rocketman earlier in the week. You know, that Elton John biopic. I adored it and it’s been heavy on my mind lately and I liked the idea of Sanji giving a high energy performance from the piano. (Sir Elton John’s music comes into play later.)
And as for Zoro, I find the bass and/or the beat the sexiest part of the music in a song and, naturally, I can see him rocking at either.
So I asked Cas if she had any other headcanons for this AU and this thing is too good to not share.
Yeah, so Zoro and Sanji are in a boy band with Usopp and Luffy. Luffy started the band. Luffy does guitar, Zoro is on bass, Usopp is on drums, and Sanji is on keyboard and vocals.
Nami is their manager. She works them hard and has taken a 40% cut of the profits because of the guys’ naivete and inexperience. But she’s why they took off. She booked their gigs at every venue she could manage, no matter how small.
They got their big break when Nami met Vivi, who’s a talent scout for the record label Baroque Works. Nami insisted that Vivi had to see the boys perform because they’re something else and Vivi’s heard that a thousand times, but she agreed because Nami is cute. Nami and Vivi are dating. Also, re Baroque Works: Crocodile looks like a sleazy music producer, doesn’t he? So does Doflamingo.
So Sanji is the pretty one, Luffy is the funny one, Zoro is the quiet/broody one, and Usopp is the smart one.
Zoro has a lot of deals with fitness brands, but secretly finds the famous life unfulfilling. This comes back later, so keep that in your back pocket.
Robin runs their social media. She’s so good at her job, running all of their accounts and tweeting simultaneously, you’d swear she had four sets of hands. Wink.
Franky does pyrotechnics/lighting.
Brook is their stylist.
Chopper was their first real fan. He and Zoro grew up in the same neighborhood and Chopper just always idolized him. He followed them before anyone knew their names. He was their hype man, saying encouraging things like "I know you guys are gonna be great!" He believed in them even when they didn't believe in themselves.
Usopp set up their recordings before they got signed because he’s savvy. And then Chopper would sell their crappy CDs. At these tiny gigs. Like coffeehouses and stuff.
Sanji can play keyboard because his parents forced him to play piano as a kid. They had this idea that classical music would teach him discipline and make him smarter. This is how he meets Zeff. Zeff’s your typical stern instructor, but he’s the first adult to ask Sanji what he actually wants and likes. Zeff sees Sanji’s not into it so he asks him what music he likes and Sanji tells him he likes pop, so Zeff gives Sanji a more rounded education. This includes Elton John because I say so. It did inspire me to put Sanji on keyboard, after all.
But other than being Sanji’s piano instructor, Zeff becomes the one positive adult figure in young Sanji’s life and he becomes something of a mentor figure for him. Zeff has a garden and he lets Sanji work in it with him. This garden is how Sanji gets his “little eggplant” nickname. Sanji pulls an eggplant out before it’s ready and it’s so small and pitiful and Zeff won’t let him live it down. Like, Sanji keeps in touch with Zeff even into adulthood and after he makes it big and he still calls Sanji little eggplant.
Zoro and Sanji are always doing that, "Kind of flirting, not really” thing on stage.  Sanji is always like walking up to Zoro on stage and acting like he's going to kiss him but pushing him away at the last moment. And it's this huge mystery whether they're actually an item or not. This comes from Nami. Sanji and Zoro have this natural chemistry with each other that leads to speculation and Nami, knowing how boy band fan bases work, saw dollar signs. But it’s not just pragmatism on her part; she knows that one cannot simply go up to Zoro and Sanji and say “You obviously like each other. You should date.” So she makes money and helps her friends find happiness.
Usopp has speculation going on as well. People are always confused as to who he’s dating. Tabloids keep being like "Usopp dumped Nami and is now dating Luffy!" "Luffy Scorned?" "Luffy ditches Usopp and steals his girl!" And they just think the entire thing is hilarious. They collect headlines. The answer is Usopp is dating Luffy and Nami and Luffy and Nami just become really affectionate with each other after dating Usopp long enough. Also Nami is dating Vivi, like I mentioned, and sometimes Nami brings her on as a plus one.
Sanji and Zoro keep giving conflicting answers about their relationship status. Like they'll tell one person they hate each other and another person they're gonna get married someday. Sanji has to walk this fine line of being "in love" with all of his female fans and also "in love" with Zoro. Or not. Who knows? Like Sanji enjoys the attention but he really really plays shit up for his fangirls. This makes Sanji even more popular. Just picture pages upon pages of Sanji/Reader and “Zanji” fics on Wattpad. Nami is one smart lady. "I am the smartest, prettiest, most clever person alive."
Zosan getting together really is just a bunch of Fake Dating tropes. At first it really is just to get more press for the band. Nami schemes with Usopp and Robin to push them together. Robin's a social media genius and knows how to craft tweets and Instagram posts that fans will overanalyze.
Meanwhile eventually Zoro and Sanji admit to each other they have actual feelings and one day Usopp finds Sanji sleeping in Zoro's bed, both of them completely tuckered out. But they don’t know Nami crafted this. They just come clean and hope she won't be mad and she's like, "Yes! Finally!" and they're like "What?" and she's like, "I've been waiting for you two to realize you have actual feelings. Did you really think I'd just use you for profit like that?" and they're both like "Yes" "Of course"
Zoro’s mad at her for meddling. Secretly he’s grateful, but he doesn’t want to give her the satisfaction and he’s yelling until Sanji grabs his hand and he just calms down.
And to bring Elton John back into the picture, just picture Sanji doing a cover of “Your Song” and uploading it online and thinking about Zoro. Naturally the comments are abuzz with people speculating that he’s singing about Zoro. And like. Onstage Sanji does his rendition and sends these small glances Zoro’s way, partially because he knows it’ll get the band a lot of attention, partially because that song is sweet and beautiful and it’s such a simple way to explain his feelings. (There is a reason why Moulin Rouge included it!!) I imagine this happens before they come clean to each other. Like, Zoro comes to him and is all “I keep thinking about that song you did...” And they go from there.
And eventually the band comes to its natural end.
Usopp goes solo and flourishes, working as a songwriter and a producer. He wrote the band’s songs and he’s had a drum kit since he was, like, ten and he can make his own beats. He’s not the singing type (though he is good at it and could reach new heights if he came out of his shell), so he’s the kind of artist who makes the beat and then gets super famous pop singers to feature on his tracks. But he also writes songs for other singers and is so good at it and produces other artists’ tracks. I also like the idea that he’s taught himself to play multiple instruments, but he prefers the drums/percussion. He totally played percussion in school and was in marching band. I was in marching band for one year. I loathed every second of it, but I know he’d be phenomenal in drum corps.
Luffy isn’t much in music anymore, but he keeps himself busy. He’s something of an influencer, the kind of celebrity who gets paid to wear fashion brands’ clothing. He’s also Usopp’s trophy husband, living off the money he made off the band. Usopp grew wise to Nami’s antics and made sure he and Luffy would live comfortably for the rest of their lives, even if Usopp were to retire. Luffy also is secretly a Buzzfeed journalist because it’s fun for him to write these hit articles and people not know it’s him because he’s writing on this super bland pseudonym.
And then there’s Zosan. They have a falling out after the band splits and go their separate ways.
Sanji quits being a professional singer because he’s tired of the prying into his personal life, but he still mentors and/or teaches. He has a string of girlfriends and finds no fulfillment in those relationships because the women are only interested in his celebrity.
And they aren’t Zoro.
Zoro tried branching off into commercials for fitness, but his heart wasn’t in it. He kind of takes up ranching on a whim and learns that he’s really good at it. He likes the physical labor, the quiet, being away from it all, nobody knowing his name. He doesn’t pursue anyone after Sanji because he feels like if it’s meant to be, someone will appear.
And Sanji does.
Sanji finds out where Zoro is through Luffy. So he makes his way to the ranch and finds Zoro and Sanji is all “Come back. I miss you.”
And there’s just a lot of soft Zosan content during Sanji’s visit. Sanji’s always been afraid of horses, but he’s not afraid when he’s with Zoro, and Zoro teaches him they can be gentle creatures, it’s just that you just have to respect them. (Ha. Get it?) Zoro takes Sanji on a ride and they go out and he takes him up the mountain and shows him how beautiful the view is. Sanji's watching the sunset and he's like, "Damn that's the prettiest thing I've ever seen." And Zoro is looking at Sanji and he says, "It sure is." And Sanji's like, "you're not... even looking." And Zoro's like, "No, I'm looking alright. Prettiest thing I've ever seen for sure."
More soft things like Zoro taking off his cowboy hat and putting it on Sanji. Them sitting by the fire, Zoro playing acoustic while Sanji sings. Whenever people see them they’ll ask them if they’re musicians and they share a knowing smile and say “Yeah. Something like that.”
And Zoro convinces Sanji to move out there with him. The others come to visit. Luffy and Chopper are obsessed with the cows and horses and the chickens. Luffy wants, like, eight pet chickens. Usopp is skeptical. Doesn’t believe Lu can look after a pet.
And it kind of ends there. It was us going back and forth, oftentimes out of chronological order, and so here I am putting it all together because it’s too good not to share. But it was a lot of fun.

A Brand New High
(Luke x Reader)
A Luke (Cherrybomb) One Shot
Warnings: Mentions of drug use, Sexual Content, Swearing
Author’s Note: This was inevitable. Especially when @starlightmornings (you genius) made that amazing Cherrybomb fanvid (watch it everyone!) with a great song, I couldn’t help but be inspired to write something Luke related after watching the movie. Those curls are lethal, those eyes are lethal, HE IS LETHAL. So I wrote creative response depicting my frustration . Enjoy 😉
Tumblr media
“I hope you know, I’m not planning on going home tonight” you said, breathlessly as your fingers held on to the collar of his T-shirt.
“Why…” he chuckled, “You have plans?” “Oh you know…” you replied, voice turning seductive with each word ,
“…just something that needs taking care of ”

(A day earlier) Ever since your senses had it’s first taste of ‘getting high’ a while back, your body did not hesitate to inform you of it’s interest to try again. The effects was unforgettable. But another window of opportunity after that the time seemed pretty difficult. Until you met Gemma.
You befriended Gemma few days ago, and she clearly understood your ‘need’ when you unexpectedly shared it over a scoop of ice cream.
“I know just the person ya need to see” she said, with confidence as snapped her fingers. Hopes were filled in full as you walked along with her to a place called Titanic Leisureplex that afternoon. But instead of entering the said premises, you were urged to follow her over to the pitches, where groups of teens were scattered all over. And one certainly did not fail to get your attention. Tall, and of a skinny built, his big dark curls were quite a distinct feature, which contrasted well from the redhead he conversed with. When you realized you were walking towards their direction, a curious part of you made a silent wish. “Got anything for us today, Luke?” Gemma called out, her tone fully flirtatious, which clearly amused you. The dark haired lad let out a chuckle, as if he knew who it was. Turning, he said:   “Oh Gem…anything for you-” he paused. “...and your friend? ” he finished, his mouth slightly parted with surprise, the moment he saw you. A mere wave of greeting and a smile was all that you could give away, for your lips seemed immobile once you saw those beautiful green eyes he was adorned with. “Luke ...this is Y/N” Gemma said, “…she moved here a few days ago” “Did she now?” Curiosity laced in his voice, Luke asked, his gaze never leaving yours, and you did not mind. “That’s right” you finally spoke, eliciting raised eyebrows of fascination from him. You could not help but suppress a smile in return, proceeding to watch him rummage through his jacket, and the way his curls bounced gently as he did so. You certainly liked what you saw.
“You know…” he said, as he placed two small packets of pills on your palm. “A word of advice” You listened to him, displaying your curiosity. “ It won’t be fun… enjoying them on your own”. Releasing yourself from the suppression, you bit the side of your lower lip, humming in agreement. “I could not agree more” you said, slowly looking at your closed palm, “I bet.. sharing the excitement makes the experience…” looking back up “…worthwhile” you completed your sentence. You realized the close proximity between the two of you, so close your forehead could touch the soft curls on his head. Luke grinned, “Well I’m glad we agree, love” his Irish accent sounding quite prominent. No wonder you enjoyed it.
“Shit!”
You suddenly were reminded of Gemma’s presence as she swore. “That’s my dad…” she continued, looking over her shoulder, spotting an older man miles away at the entrance of the building, “Let’s go Y/N!” She pulled you by the forearm in desperation. You did not want to refuse.
“Uh…Bye!?!” You heard yourself cry out to Luke as you were dragged away. He waved in response, winking right after, and you swore you felt a flutter by the sight, noticing his gaze on you still remained till you disappeared from the venue.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
For a night out, ’The Lifeboat’ was the place to be, at least Gemma thought so. And you didn’t have the right to disagree. You hoped she was right, while you two waited in queue outside that night. The lively sounds from the band playing inside reached the ears of the passerby’s, causing the pub to be tempting than it appeared to be.
“You’re gonna love it here Y/N” Gemma said excitedly, “Oh! We can even use those tonight” she continued, lightly punching you on the arm with a naughty smile.
“Huh?” You suddenly looked over to her, “Oh...right” you agreed with a nod, turning your head back to look ahead, your eyes focused on the road . Gemma watched you with narrowed eyebrows.
“What’s up with ya Y/N? What are ya looking at?” “Nothing…” you answered quickly, as your eyes still wandered. Thankfully Gemma did not know you well enough to call you on your fibs, for you were not being truthful. The short but extremely pleasant encounter with Luke lingered in your mind enough, you craved for another meeting somehow. If you only had his number.
Suddenly your mouth formed a big flashy smile, feeling the luckiest when you spotted him, finally. Walking alongside the redhead from earlier, he strutted down the road from afar with confidence. His defined dark curls were noticeable from miles away, at least they were to you.
You didn’t know if it was your noticeable smile, or his equally noticeable wandering eyes, but Luke managed to spot you with ease through the crowd when he smiled back.
“They’re with me” you watched him mouth the words to the bouncers at the entrance, later beckoning you both to come over, to which you and Gemma responded with glee. The redhead nodded at Luke with a smile, entering the pub first.
“I feel so careless” Luke said, the moment you approached him, “If I had your number I would have not let you wait outside like this for so long” his eyes twinkled as he guided you inside. You chuckled. Seems you were not the only one in regret.
“Still smooth as expected” you replied,  “...and yes ...” you extended your hand to him, “You may have my number”. You pressed in the numbers, making sure to save it without fail, and you did with attractively as you could for you felt Luke’s gaze on you still.
Red lights painted the entire room, the music tempting the occupants to sway in hypnosis with bottles of beer in hand. You wanted to relish the whole atmosphere, until Gemma’s nudges caught you off guard. As you causally handed her the small packs, you realized how you gave her both.
“Don’t want yours?” She asked inaudibly, looking confused. You were surprised as she was when you shook your head in response. Truth be told, you forgot they were even in your jacket this whole time. To be even more truthful, you nearly forgot about your intention in the first place. You forgot them all, as soon as those beautiful curls, irresistible eyes and that Irish accent got in your way instead.
A song of a faster pace began playing, the melody simply refreshing enough to make you close your eyes in pleasure. A part of you inside jumped to the rhythm.
“Can I get you a drink?” Luke’s voice was the cherry on top as he leaned over your shoulder from behind. You turned to him in an instant with a smile. “Dance with me” you said, moving your body soon after.
It had been quite a while since you felt this alive. Swaying your hips to the rhythm, your loose hair flew from side to side. Throwing your hands up in the air, you let them slowly come down as your body rolled later on. There was nothing that you needed, to feel as if everything was in slow motion, for you already felt as if it was. If peacocks used all their might, and danced to attract their mates, then there you were, dancing and pulling out all the stops, just to make sure there was no one in Luke’s mind but you. And it seemed you were succeeding, when you felt his tall frame hover over you as he danced along. You were humbly dressed, pair of tight fitting jeans and a tank top slapped on with a hoodie jacket. Yet still, you felt like the sexiest person in the room, all cause he was watching you.
“You sure you’re not high?” He shouted through the music, laughing. You shook your head laughing, “I’m not” as you yelled back. “Well…You sure look like you can dance” he said, inching closer to you in rhythm. You felt bold by the statement,  “ Are you saying that you like what you see?” You asked playfully, in a louder voice. “Maybe…” he replied. Even through the red lights, the way Luke licked his lips was clear as day. Suddenly he leaned in further, giving you the split second of vivid thoughts. “Come with me…” he said, his breath tickling your ear. A rush of sensations came over you when he suddenly held you by the hand, pulling you out of the premises effortlessly.

WHERE ARE YOU?
Gemma’s text made you gasp, a reminder of you disappearing from the pub without informing.
Leisureplex with Luke -x
The moment you hit send, you were startled by the sound of a huge splash of water. You looked up, jaw dropped by the sight.
Pulling you by the hand, and sending you shivers as he did, you did not imagine Luke’s idea of getting out , would be to sneak into the Leisureplex. But in a way, you weren’t surprised. Thus, it was definitely not surprising, when you watched him jump into the pool as he just did a few seconds ago.
“Oh my god…” giggling away clapping, “I can’t believe you did that” you said, as Luke appeared out of the water.
“Well” wiping his face off, “ so can you, love…” he replied whilst flashing a smile, walking over to you through the pool. Quickly kicking off your shoes, you bent down, laying your hoodie and phone on the floor. Yet, suddenly you felt conscious. You felt conscious about your body, you felt conscious about this act of vandalism. You sighed, standing up as you were inclined to change your mind. “I dont th-” The sight of Luke taking off his wet t-shirt cut you off. Throwing it out of the pool, he ran his hand through his wet curls. His glistening bare torso and the chain that adorned his neck, made your mouth quite dry. As your eyes wandered over his shirtless frame, you couldn’t help but imagine yourself against that. Time was definitely not an issue as several scenarios played in your head in an instant, scenarios so vivid and erotic, you involuntarily rubbed your thighs against each other to suppress your inner frustrations. “Do you like what you see?” This time it was him questioning you in tease, resulting you to blush with intensity. “Maybe…” you replied with a grin. “Ma-Argh!” Luke did not waste time when he pulled you by the hand, thus having you fall into the pool with a splash. Fortunately, you were not hurt, as you came out of the water drawing in a deep breath. “You dick!” You said, wiping your face while you laughed. And Luke did not hesitate to join you with it. “Oh come on!” He cried extending his hands in innocence, “ I know you didn’t mean that” As you tossed water at him, you had to agree with him. You did not mean it. In fact, you did not want to think of anything bad about him. You liked the lad too much. The laughter between the two died down slowly the moment Luke playfully held you by the hand, inching himself closer to you. The way he exhaled as you straightened, made you realize how wet your tank top had gotten, and how your bra was clearly visible through it, causing you to blush once again. The breathing was in complete syncopation, as you slowly looked in to each other’s eyes.
The need to kiss him was strong. Was this a good time? You wondered. Apparently, Luke thought so, as he went for it, quickly pressing his lips against yours.
You wanted this at The Lifeboat, frankly you wanted this since the first time you saw him. Holding on to his wet hair with one hand, you wrapped the other around his neck as you felt him pull you against his body. Past the chlorine, past the cigarettes, you tasted him further as his tongue entangled in yours, deepening the kiss. The moans that came out of you was amplified throughout the area, and you were proud of it. For you were experiencing a high that no puff nor snort could offer you. With a gasp, you slowly broke away, the moment Luke’s hands wandered down to your rear, resting his palms on it. You hummed in pleasure as they remained there comfortably.
“So…” he said, softly with his lips brushing against yours, “What do we do now?”
The number of responses you could think of were more than a dozen, and they were all clearly pointing to what you both wanted to agree on. But before you could speak, the doors suddenly bursted open, with a crowd of teenagers swarming in.
“Luke! There you are…We’ve been looking for you all over” “We didn’t know there’s a party here” “Fuckin’ hell…Luke’s got company”
Watching Luke sigh in disappointment, you dove into the water out of embarrassment. So much for some alone time. As you floated underwater, you watched Luke slowly move over to the edge, legs disappearing one by one as he got out. Coming out the water, you saw Gemma. And Gemma surely meant answers.
Stumbling out, you called out to her, catching up at the changing area. “Gemma…What you are guys doing here?” “Oh…” Gemma said, looking at your drenched state, “…you said you’re here with Luke so…I assumed there would a party or something” she replied, without a trace of concern.
Your jaw dropped, “What?…No! thats not what I meant…I…” you sighed, rubbing your temples, “…never mind” you said. You looked around, the atmosphere in and around the pool had already turned festive, with the appearance of a boombox, the sharing of booze and Luke’s supply of stimulants that everyone was craving for.
This whole rollercoaster of events suddenly tired you. After all, you were sober, and your stimulant was never inside your system but was out there being the man of the hour. While drying yourself, you watched him run around, spreading his energy as he provided the needful. The sight of him was pleasurable enough, but you needed to go home. Enough excitement for today.

(Present day-Afternoon) Saturday morning meant shopping day, which meant some quality bonding time with your mother. You’ve been tracing your fingers through one skirt for tad bit longer than you should, staring at it mindlessly. Your mother’s gentle tap on your shoulder made you realize it.
“Something bothering you?” She asked, as you moved over to another clothing rack. You shook your head with a small smile. “No…I’m alright” you replied, pretending to look through once more.
Little did she know, and little did you want her to know of the stimulant that that distracted you since last night. A stimulant called Luke, whose kiss that seemed memorable enough for you to reimagine and relive it with ease. The smell of the chlorine and the softness of his lips was practically sealed in you.
And timing could have not been perfect when your cellphone buzzed.
Pitches tonight at 10 - Luke
You smiled, biting your lower lip. The mere thought of him wanting to see you again, sparked some hope in you. The clear image of his wet shirtless torso, and his equally wet hair invaded your headspace for a split second, reminding of the need that was leftover in heaps and bounds.
Cant wait :)
You typed it with enthusiasm, suddenly impatient for nighttime to arrive. But first, you needed a cover. “Mom?”

(Present day- 10 pm)
Clutching on to your cellphone, excitement bubbled with each step you took towards the pitches. You squinted, trying to decipher the sudden incoming figures in your view, only to find out it was Gemma and her friends. Hoping she won’t spoil tonight, you displayed a forced smile upon the sight of her.
“Y/N!”she cried excitedly, seeing you wave, “You gonna join us at The Lifeboat?” She asked with curiosity, stopping in front of you.
“Uh…” you paused, moving your hands to think of an excuse, “No…actually I forgot something over there so I’m just gonna…” nodding you just let the line hang in there. The others nodded in acknowledgement. Gemma followed suit a few seconds later.
“Well…you’ll find Luke over there.” She said, pointing behind her, “He’s waiting for Malachy I suppose…”
“Right…” you said, spotting the dark curls from miles away, “See ya guys” you said nonchalantly, suddenly unaware of everything around you as you started walking past everyone.
Increasing your speed, Luke’s image grew clearer as you got closer. Sitting on a folding chair , Luke remained seated there, clouds of smoke released from his lips as he gazed at the sky. The sound of your heartbeat suddenly seemed to reach your own ears as you saw him look down, spotting you. Flicking his cigarette away, he slowly got up moving forward. Walking towards one another, the two of you finally halted in front of each other in the end.
You did not say a word, neither did he. Marveling his face and the beautiful curls that framed his face was your excuse, alongside the fact his wandering eyes undressed you. His dark, lustful eyes kept you focused as he grabbed you by the hand, pulling you over to the nearest fence he could find. Your body was ready to comply as he released you from his grip, allowing you to bump against the fence. It was no soon after that his hands quickly rested on the sides of your waist, sending chills down your spine as a result.
The generous amount of eyelashes he was blessed with was something you were fascinated with, making his green orbs the gateway to emote effortlessly. Thus, you felt the urge to gingerly run your thumbs over his eyebrows, feeling the softness, proceeding to let your fingers run down his face lightly as he hypnotized you with his eyes.
Little did you know of his agenda amidst all this. Especially when his hands left your waist, slowly moving down to your sides.
Feeling through the thin material of your cotton dress, you accidentally let out a gasp as his hands slithered under it. With his eyes were glued to your face, he watched your little but noticeable reactions when his fingers hooked on to the waistband of your underwear, forcing you to inhale deeply as those fingers pulled your panties down painfully slow. The late night chill blew through between your thighs when the thin material parted ways from it. Meanwhile, your lips felt left out, aching to feel his own, yet he just made you watch, teasing you cause he could.
The moment when your panties reached mid thigh, you knew you were soaked in desire, frustration and the plainly obvious moistening underneath. You could do nothing but resort to the sweet distraction that was his curls, entangling your fingers in them, relishing their softness. You wanted to speak, but still he did not allow you, as he leaned in you swore you’d feel his lips on your skin somehow. Instead, you felt his nose brush against your collarbone as he lowered himself down. Your muscles in your stomach clenched in frustration as he went past your stomach, even passing down further, only to lift up your dress, dipping his head in between your thighs to your surprise.
Throwing your head back against the fence, you heard yourself gasp the moment his lips made contact with your dampened slit. Your legs parted involuntarily, giving better access as Luke held you by the buttocks, resting on his knees as his kisses made themselves familiar in your most sensitive area. His soft curls lightly brushing on your inner thighs made you grow even more sensitive. Suppressed moans finally exited you as he proceeded to lap on and suckle on your throbbing entrance, making soft, low pleasurable sounds of his very own. Holding on to his hair tightly, you enabled much better access, body twitching as he continued to savor you.
Your dying wish was that no one would interrupt now, for you finally felt it building up. You could not hold it in any longer.
“Ah…fuck!” You cried, through gritted teeth, “Yes…Luke…ah…yes!” You could not have emphasized your sense of pleasure more as you felt his tongue thrust in you. As you finally reached your climax, you let your cries out in whimpers as his lips parted ways from your burning heat.
“Been spending the whole day… thinking about this” He looked up at you with a proud look on his face. “Point made…” you panted, “Now kiss me already” you were still desperate, pulling him up frantically. He certainly did not hesitate to do so, towering over you once again as his lips attacked you with hunger. You welcomed his need as it overlapped with your own, and how you were able to taste yourself as well.
“I hope you know…” you breathed, “ I’m not planning on going home tonight” you said, as you held him firmly by the collar of his T-shirt. “Why…” he chuckled in to your lips, “You have plans?” Leaning in to kiss you more. “Oh you know…” you replied, voice turning seductive with each word , “…just something that needs taking care of ” looking down, you felt his clothed erection, rubbing it up and down slowly through his pants.
Your mouth parted as you looked into those eyes again, spellbound once more, allowing those lips back on to yours, finally satisfying yourself with this brand new high you never knew you needed. And when he proceeded to latch on to your neck, your eyes fluttered furiously, very much impatient for the deeper intoxication that will soon follow.

August Recap
Hey, dear followers! Let me start by saying that.. phew, there are a lot of you now! Even more than a thousand. Which means that I need to do a new follow forever since the last one I made back in.. April 2017? Wow, took some time to gather that final quarter missing from a 1,000.
I'm happy to say that this is a legit number, because I recently cleaned up my list of followers by blocking all the obvious porn, bot and/or bot-porn blogs.
However, I'm gonna postpone making this new follow forever until I have a new banner for it. Namely, I still have 4 super-belated Kataang Week submissions to finish (2 drawings, 2 fics) and I intend to use one of these images as the banner.
I feel bad enough for not finishing these on time, or getting anything related to my blog done in time recently, for that matter. Life has been hectic since March, when I began applying for all available internship/job positions that could possibly suit me (and the same cycle started again now).
As some of you may remember, I eventually managed to get a 2-month paid internship for the summer. Well, I finished it in the middle of August and I have nothing but positive words to say about the company, their employees, the working environment.. everything!
I really would've wanted to continue working there full-time, but they didn't have an opening for the position my internship was built on. Nevertheless, I'll keep my eye out for similar available positions in the future and try again when (or if) the time comes.
But I shall always remember the time together with them fondly. The feeling of success (since I finished my work on time), gratitude and happiness outweigh the feeling of sadness about having to leave. I sketched this into my notebook the day I left and showed it to my team, including my mentor (they were all rather fond of it):
Tumblr media
A couple of days earlier, as I was waiting for the tram to go to work in the morning, I saw a little girl walk to the stop opposite to mine together with her mother. She was carrying a pretty plush Princess Celestia from "My Little Pony". These bigger-sized ponies had been on sale for a long time in many shops, so I decided that I'm gonna go buy one for myself, too.
So, the day my internship ended, I brought all the gifts and my diploma home, went back outside and headed to the toy stores nearby. I didn't buy any of these ponies since the bigger ones seem to be sold out. But I accidentally stumbled across an even prettier toy:
Tumblr media
It was Trinket from "Nella the Princess Knight", only 1 remaining and she was more than HALF OFF! I felt like the luckiest girl in the world! I'd checked out the smaller ones a while ago, but those Trinkets didn't seem as pretty as this big one. And she was coming home with me!
I barely got to cuddle her in bed for one night when I suddenly came down with a sore throat the next day. My mentor had also fallen ill a few days prior to the end of my internship, so it was no mystery where I caught it from.. I'm practically healed now, just gotta get rid of this stuffy nose that keeps bothering me twice a day.
Anyways, after my sore throat had almost gone away and my runny nose began to act up, I still went to celebrate the Restoration of Estonia's Independence on the 20th August together with my dad by going to a family event at our television tower in Tallinn.
Tumblr media
The television tower is the place that normal citizens came to protect from the Soviet tanks the day after we'd declared ourselves independent from the Soviet Union in 1991. The Estonians were lucky, because the Russians didn't open fire against us and eventually withdrew their troops. Unfortunately, the Latvians and Lithuanians suffered from human losses that day, trying to protect their own important landmarks.
For the first time, I actually had a strong feeling of pride, joy and festivity. We haven't really celebrated this day in any special way so far (except for maybe buying a small cake or watching the reception at the President's residence at Kadriorg on TV), but going to this event made it feel more special this year.
The police, fire department, ambulance, Defensive Forces (Kaitseliit), Women's Defence League (Naiskodukaitse), our NATO allies and other important organizations demonstrated their equipment and skills.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Btw you Americans can curse YOUR police as much as you want, but the police here in Estonia, and most likely in the rest of Europe, are NOTHING like it compared to yours. They are respected, do excellent work in protecting our citizens and catching criminals, do not follow racist beliefs, use a gun ONLY as a last resort. Of course, we have very, VERY strict gun laws here, too, so they RARELY need to use their arms anyway.. Frankly, I wish there were more of them on patrol, due to so many drunk drivers getting caught each day in my country. So if you EVER dare say something disgusting about OUR police, I will come at you.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The President of Estonia, Kersti Kaljulaid, together with the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, gave short speeches and had a nice walk around the area as well. It was hilarious since, moments before the two Presidents arrived, a small cloud appeared above us and it began pouring so hard that most people fled to the nearby tents. The benches in front of the stage became empty and one group of people huddled together in front of it (the top edge provided them with some cover from the heavy rain).
Tumblr media
Once Kersti Kaljulaid finished with her speech, she gazed upon the small crowd in front of the stage and noticed a couple of kids. I think they must've wanted to say something sweet to her, or she wanted to "rescue" them from the rain.. Either way, she grabbed them by their hands and helped them climb up on the stage, after which those two kids hugged her. I swear, I melted into a puddle right then and there! It was soooo adorable! I love our President SO MUCH (and this isn't the only reason why)! I even managed to take a photo of the moment:
Tumblr media
Later in the evening, one of our most famous, handsome sexiest and loved male singers, Uku Suviste, gave a free concert to everyone who'd decided to stay until the end. I even got to take a photo together with him! (@thecaroliner can see it on Facebook.)
Tumblr media
Before I temporarily moved back home from my rented apartment, me and my dad went on a ride in the new Skywheel of Tallinn at T1 Mall of Tallinn. It's a brand new ferris wheel, which was opened in April this year, and it's a part of the capital's silhouette now.
I'd been wanting to go ride it since the beginning of June, as soon as I'd moved to the capital. But since my internship absorbed most of my spare time and I was beat during the weekends, I thought it'd be a lovely reward for myself (for finishing my internship) in the end.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I definitely wanna go ride it again at nighttime this coming winter, when the snow has covered the streets and the streetlights and Christmas decorations light up the entire capital. I can imagine what a beautiful sight this will be! And I wanna take photos of it.
I had the biggest surprise after I'd got off the ride. There's a small shop on the floor where you can enter the ferris wheel, and I happened to see a plush toy of Rubble from "Paw Patrol". Yay! Now I have all 4 available pups (I do wish they'd make ones for Rocky, Zuma, Everest aaaand.. *searches the name*.. Tracker, too!):
Tumblr media
*wipes forehead* Oh boy, writing all of this down took some time.. But it was fun to go through all these awesome things I did this month. And to write down what I need to do during these upcoming months (which includes making a longer post about the Dance and Song Festival I went to at the beginning of July, cause this was kind of important). I hope you've all enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed putting it all together!

Dancing With The Stars 2009 Cast: Very Best Of The Jitterbug (Video Clip)
The season 9 finale is only two months away and anticipation is developing. Only 5 stars remain - Aaron Carter, Donny Osmond, Joanna Krupa, Kelly Osbourne and Mya - all for a mirror ball trophy. View them encounter some of the toughest dances yet, and make certain you cast your vote after tonight's display. The initial team to perform was Team Paso, consisting of, Mark Dacascos, he has a good point, Mya and Michael Irving, alongside with their Dancing with the Stars expert partners. The judges praised Team Tango and scored every 24 factors.

I'd by no means truly noticed much of Mark outside of "Iron Chef," and he was actually a fairly enjoyable man to view. He may have experienced the cheesiest presentation of anybody I've seen to begin the display, but he could move pretty nicely. The biggest issue for him will be staying targeted on the dance. Tonight's secret component is.dancing! (Alright, only kidding.) Mark ended up with a 21 and a second-place finish in the team waltz.
Aaron Carter Candy
Macy Gray. Sweet mercy that voice is back again. Let's hope for an early exit, or for her to put on one of these attire marketing her new album like she did on MTV's VMAs that one year.

Dancing with the Stars Fall 2009's 3rd week of competitive dancing, considered "the sexiest night of the period" by co-host Tom Bergeron, opened with a quick evaluation of last 7 days's action, and ongoing on with the typical introduction of the DWTS period 9 stars. We rapidly learned that the thirteen remaining celebs and their professional partners would be performing one of two dances: The Samba or the Rumba. We THEN discovered that previous House Vast majority Leader Tom Hold off's pre-tension fracture experienced progressed into a full tension fracture; so would he compete? Tom and co-host Samantha Harris left it a big DWTS season 9 7 days 3 unknown for now. How annoying. It's not as if I'd turn off the Television if Tom Delay and Cheryl Burke finished their tenure on the show. NFL star Michael Irvin and partner Anna Demidova were next up on DWTS with their Samba. Michael's really had a hard time with the judging panels this period. The thing I value about Michael is his performer's heart: He appears to have fun each week, even when he's nailed by Len, Carrie Ann and Bruno. That said, it thought their Samba lacked a little. It appeared sluggish and just not exactly what I'm utilized to seeing for the style of dance. Bruno stated "sometimes you danced this like a tank" and proceeded to defeat him down. Ouch. Carrie Ann stated "I definitely believe you have rhythm but you're dancing too small". Len said "it's a hard dance for a big man" and "I'm afraid it was a bit disappointing". Oof. Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova's Dancing with the Stars Drop 2009 week three scores: 5, 4, 5 = fourteen.
Aaron Carter Come Get It
Age has not been kind to the 68 year previous music producer. Phil Spector -- who can name John Lennon, the Righteous Brothers, Leonard Cohen, and George Harrison among songs's greats associated with him - was lastly convicted of 2nd diploma murder in the loss of life of Lana Clarkson. His reserving photo - the now famed Phil Spector mug shot found on the Smoking Gun - provides increase to speculation that fairly much any sentence handed down on Might 29 will be a lifestyle sentence. Insanity workout is the new revolution for house fitness created by Shaun T. And this is a real reality, because numerous people have seen genuine outcomes in just 60 times, without becoming forced to go to fitness centers or to take diet plan pills. This plan is a new brand established of workouts that altered individuals's lives. Now, I wager you ask yourself who is this Shaun T and why you should take into thought his program? While check my reference might be well known to the younger group, his "look at me" arrogant attitude has obviously not played well with older DWTS' viewers. He retains landing in the bottom two despite his superb method and dancing ability.

I'd by no means truly seen a lot of Mark outside of "Iron Chef," and he was really a pretty fun man to watch. He might have had the cheesiest presentation of anybody I've seen to start the display, but he could move pretty nicely. The biggest problem for him will be staying focused on the dance. Tonight's magic formula component is.dancing! (Okay, only kidding.) Mark finished up with a 21 and a 2nd-place end in the team waltz. "The Addams Family members" theme song created by Vic Mizzy. Even though The Addams Family only aired from 1964-1966, its theme tune remains massively recognizable.

Aaron Carter Wiki
When I was four years previous, I really aaron carter and hilary duff begged my father for a guitar. He was like, "No, you can't have one until you're 5." So, ultimately, when I was 5, he gave me a guitar, and at any time since, I by no means want to put the guitar down. That's really exactly where it all began. For Dancing with the Stars Season nine, issues will be carried out a small different in mid-season, according to host Tom Bergeron. 3 double eliminations will be held back again-to-back at that time, whilst dances like the Charleston, the Lambada, the Two Stage and the Bolero are worked into the rotation. Ashley Hamilton was pleased to be there he said, son of George Hamilton and just trying to adhere to in his father's footsteps. Companion Edyta Sliwinska wore an outfit that was very complementary and both looked dapper on the flooring, but Ashley also seemed extremely rigid. Total score of 19.

Harry Styles Vanity Fair
The Vanity Fair interview is only available to read in Italian right now, so I decided to translate it so others (and myself) can read it too! I did change some of the wording to make it more understandable, because Google Translate isn’t always the best, but I didn’t change the meaning of anything that was said. You can read the original (in Italian) here !
Harry Styles: Vanity Fair Interview 2017
Harry Styles has grown, does not drink, and wants to become pescatarian. The only mystery: For whom did he write the songs? “For a woman in particular”, and he hopes she understands the dedication. All clear, Kendall?
The last thing that Harry Styles does before going to sleep every night is send an email with a list of what he needs to do the next day. “Even if it’s boring stuff, like 9 o'clock: coffee. If you don’t have a schedule sometimes you feel lost. I do find it a little hard to laze.” Perhaps it’s one of the side effects of the past six years with one of the most famous boybands of all time, One Direction, where every minute of their lives on tour was planned in detail. The world tours could last almost a year, and did not include only concerts in the stadiums: there was endless promo to be done during the day and recording in their “free time”.
One Direction: This Is Us – the documentary behind the scenes by Super Size Me director, Morgan Spurlock – had shown another member of the band, Zayn Malik, who was ripped mercilessly from his bed in the tour bus after only ten minutes of naptime to record a new song.
Instead it seems that Styles wallows in the discipline. “I adore routine,” he explains. “When you’re small it’s all programmed: waking up at a certain time, breakfast, school. And when it ends it’s hard to figure out what to do with yourself.” Maybe for him it was a way of keeping that part of youth tight. He was 16 years old when he had moved from Cheshire to London as one of many who hoped to succeed with X Factor. In 2010, Simon Cowell had chosen five teenagers who had failed to pass the solo audition to create a super group. Harry was soon to become the sexiest and most famous component of a group that in a short time had turned into the sexiest and most famous boyband in the world. According to the ranking of the richest people in the world this year, Styles has a heritage of 40 million pounds.
Today, at the age of 23, he is trying to become master of his universe. One Direction took an “indefinite break” last year and he spent the following months writing and recording his first solo album, and to play in his first film, Dunkirk, the epic war film of Christopher Nolan that will be released this summer. The album is titled ‘Harry Styles’ and was perhaps the most anticipated solo album since Robbie left Take That. The first single, Sign of the Times, a ballad of five and a half minutes, arrived at the top of the charts in 84 countries on the day of launch. And Harry Styles is number one in the United States, England, Ireland, Canada, Australia, Holland and Belgium, and second in Italy. It is the debut album of an English artist who sold more in America since Fimi/Nielsen began recording sales in 1991.
But I really figured out what made this guy when he called me out of nowhere, on a Friday afternoon, to arrange our interview.
“Hi, I’m Harry,” chirping a young voice. “Harry Chi?”, I say, thinking he’s a kid trying to sell me something from a call center. “Harry Styles. Do you have time to have lunch together next week?“ The “personal touch” is the brand of every true global superstar. Bono, Chris Martin and Taylor Swift know well what it means to bypass the bureaucracy of manager and PR to send a personal invitation. It is a gesture that sends many messages, from the most obvious – I am normal and approachable, and obviously I know how to use the phone – to the deepest: I am giving my time. After understanding that my agenda is quite empty, Harry proposes a date and one of his favorite downtown restaurants. Book him.
Three days later, I arrive at the restaurant and find that there are no reservations on behalf of Harry Styles (of course not, which megastar would book in his own name?). There is a table for someone with a similar name, but since I do not know, the waiter is reluctant to sit just me. Five minutes later, “Harry Spring” enters, and not only looks much like Harry Styles, but guarantees it for me. Harry proves adorable. Affectionate hugs and handshakes, thank you and please after every word. We sit down and after a second he stands up to help the waiter to bring water bottles.
He wears jeans, brown ankle boots, and a Hawaiian shirt, unbuttoned enough to take a look at his well-groomed chest and the endless tattoos he has on his breast and left arm. A pair of sunglasses on top of his head keeps his hair back. He has a crucifix on his neck and big silver rings on his fingers. Yes, he’s just beautiful: boyish face, expressive, gentle attitude, impeccable manners. But, without absolutely wanting to affect his reputation as a heartthrob, I am not sure that the desire to take him home is a wish. Rather, I wish he was my son. He has two phones: one is for private use (with the newborn goddaughter on the screensaver), the other is pink and he uses it to let me listen to his new album, which still had not come out when I met him. Although he is only 23 years old, he is already godfather of three children. Almost all his best friends, he explains, are older than him. “When I moved to London, I wanted to learn from people who could give me good advice.” At first his friendship with Radio 1 DJ, Nick Grimshaw, had unleashed gossip, although Styles denied being bisexual. Today, however, the assumptions about his private life revolve mainly around famous women.
He orders a Chicken Paillard and contemplates aloud the idea of becoming Pescatarian. “I did it for two weeks, as an experiment, but I think at some point I’ll try for more time.” Because? He thinks maybe “some discipline does well”. He is never critical of life with One Direction. “It is very difficult to complain, it was an incredible thing.” While he and the other members of the band are “on hiatus”, Malik is the only one who has officially left the group. Since then he has released to the press comments denigrating the band’s music and has also recorded a piece with Taylor Swift, the former girlfriend of Styles, for the soundtrack of the film Fifty Shades of Gray. Have you seen him lately? Silence. “Mmm, not much.” Have the reports cooled down? “No, I’m OK. I think we are happy for each other, the fact that we are doing things that we like and we get it.”
The smile emerges again as soon as I ask about others of the band. “We all work a lot, but we go out together.” When did you last talk to Simon Cowell? “Oh, recently.” He called after hearing the anticipated Sign of the Times. “He said he loved it and he was proud of me.” He stops. “Not that the last calls were not pleasant, but this time they did not have that nuance of, ‘this is the boss calling’, and it was beautiful.” He can’t wait to make me feel the album, but first I ask him why he wanted to try to work solo. “Sometimes you write songs where you want to tell the whole story,” he says. “In short, if you write a very personal song, it is difficult to give it in the hands of a band.”
What stories did he want to tell? He makes a grimace. He spent the last seven years revealing as little as possible of himself. The press interviews with One Direction rarely lasted more than ten minutes, with other members of the band behind which to hide. The current level of personal analysis is a novelty for him. “I really wanted it to be sincere, without changing words. Recording this album gave me one of the most beautiful times of my life. But when it came out I felt vulnerable, and that had never happened.”
Let’s go to the album: blatantly inspired by the rock years ’ 60-70, psychedelic, glam and alternative country, it is light years away from the dance pieces and acute voices of One Direction. He wrote it and recorded it last summer in two months, in Jamaica. Styles says he was inspired by the singer and songwriter of the 1970s, Harry Nilsson, and the bands he listened to when he was small: his father adored Fleetwood Mac, the Beatles and The Rolling Stones, while his mother liked to hear Norah Jones and Shania Twain. Of course, they were not so fashionable influences, but maybe the point is just that. Despite the huge commercial success of One Direction, I honestly struggle to hum their songs, they do not remain in my head. Styles has replaced the ephemeral light pop with something more lasting, and it works. The lyrics are saturated with sex, nostalgia and broken hearts, a rare glimpse of his personal life. The last song is titled From the Dining Table and begins with: “Woke up alone in this hotel room, played with myself, where were you? Fell back to sleep, I got drunk by noon, I’ve never felt less cool.” You play with yourself? “I play with my thoughts!”, he immediately corrects.
In April he gave an interview to the magazine Rolling Stone in which he claimed that a woman in particular had a key role in the album. “Sometimes you just want to make a nod to someone, sometimes a real bow, and hope she understands it’s for her.“ The commentary was seen as evidence that the album was about Kendall Jenner, the model, television reality star, and Kim Kardashian’s half-sister with which Styles had been in a turbulent relationship with for two years. Are you interested in clarifying things? Obviously not. "It doesn’t seem to me that the record is a romantic tribute to a person. It’s more about me than anyone else. I think it’s all too easy to say, oh look, it’s about this person, that’s the most interesting thing. I never felt the need to talk about things like that.” And who can blame him? His sentimental life has always been in the spotlight. In 2012, he and Taylor Swift had been on the front page of the tabloids when they had been caught on their second date walking around Central Park. They had left a short time later, but the interest in their relationship had reignited when it was known that Swift had written at least two songs for him in her next album (Out of the Woods and Style).
Does always being in the spotlight make the natural development of relationships more difficult? “Relationships are difficult anyway. You don’t always understand just how a relationship goes, it’s not like you can say: in a week I will know. You are often told what it is before you really understand it. However, all that stuff happened when I was even younger, and you’re very confused when you’ve only had a few relationships.” Did you have to give up that sphere of private life or manage to have a little more confidentiality? “Not lately, because I made the album and a lot of things… I don’t know. No, I feel like I’ve worked a lot with the band. Too many things happened.” How many times has he been in love? “I don’t know. I don’t know how you could tell, so it’s hard to answer, right?” "One realizes, when it happens”, I fight. "Well, so they say.” He makes an embarrassed giggle and then takes the pink phone. “Um, you want to hear another song?”
He’s always been a seducer. His elder sister, Gemma (writes about technology and trends of the Millennium), recently wrote an article for the journal Another Man in which she remembered a family vacation in Cyprus. Harry was seven years old. “He was sitting on a bench near the pool, with people who were triple his age. When we returned to the airport, there was a crowd of girls of all ages who came to greet him.”
He and Gemma grew up in Cheshire. Their father was a financial advisor, now working in insurance. Styles was seven years old when his parents divorced. He is grateful that his parents have maintained a friendly relationship, even after his mother has remarried. "I’m lucky I didn’t have to take sides when they separated. I have always felt loved and encouraged by both.” He calls his mother most days. “A lot of friends say to me, ‘Your mom is really great.’ She never made me feel obliged to prove what I’m worth. Many grow up without ever showing what they feel, instead at our house there has always been much love.”
At the age of 14 he had started working in the local bakery, and he got up at 5 every Saturday. He had always thought of becoming a physiotherapist, but then “we did a workshop at school, to talk about what we wanted to do, and someone told me that there were no job opportunities in that field, so I had to choose something else. I was hurt.” Shortly thereafter he formed a group with some school mates, White Eskimo, and participated in a local band contest. “I was nervous before I got on stage, but that feeling of having all eyes on you doing something you like was exciting.”
Now we are waiting for hectic times, with a world tour of three months, alone, starting in September. The Dunkirk film will be released on August 31st. He hasn’t seen it yet, so he doesn’t know what weight he will play as an English soldier. Rumor has it that he also impersonates Mick Jagger in a biopic, but he denies it, although the look he chose for his solo album resembles the elaborate, androgynous, 70s look of Jagger. Despite having 30 million followers on Twitter and 20 million on Instagram, he is oddly cautious about social media. “Once I heard someone say: If Twitter was a party where you know that 30 percent of people are great, but you also know that the rest will hate you, you are just not going to go,” he explains.
I must admit that he is much more serious and sensitive than what I thought by watching him in the videos of the One Direction era. After three hours in his company, I can’t find any defect, he doesn’t even drink. “In the last two years of touring I discovered that I liked to go run in the morning. When I work I don’t like to drink. I do it when I go out with friends, but then maybe I don’t touch even a drop for more than a month.”
It’s time to say goodbye. I ask him what he wrote in the email that he sent last night, what he must remember to do. "I have to go and cut my hair.” Just a good guy.

5,000 Question Survey--Part twenty-two
Uh... so I found this in my drafts. Apparently, I went from part twenty-one to twenty-three, skipping right over this one. So... here it is. Out of order. I’m leaving what I had answered already, so the answers aren’t current until 2053. Not that it matters, but yeah.
2001. Can you believe that we have only gotten through two fifths of this survey so far? I’d probs be further along, but it’s taken me awhile. I forgot about it for a bit.
2002. What is your opinion of Dave Coulier? I don’t really have much of an opinion on him. I know him from Full House, but that’s it. Oh, and that he dated Alanis Morrisette, which her song, “Oughta Know” is about. 2003. If you were to a write a Choose Your Own Adventure book, what would it be about? I used to love those books as a kid! They were fun. I don’t know, what kind I would write. Probably a mystery one like the ones I used to read. 2004. What was your best find from a flea market, garage sale, ebay or thrift store? I haven’t gotten anything from any of those things/places.  2005. What do you not have enough money for right now? Anything. I’m broke at the moment.
2006. Do you believe that Teras for Fears were right when they said, "Everybody wants to rule the world?" Nah. I know I don’t want to rule the world.  2007. What is the design on your beach towel? I don’t have a beach towel.  2008. What stirs something deep and animalistic inside you? Uhh. I don’t know. 2009. Have you ever cross dressed (even as a joke)? Nope.
2010. Do you own anything with a rainbow on it? I don’t. 2011. What would be the worst object for a child to take on a long car ride with you? Anything that made a lot of annoying noises. Or played something repeatedly.  2012. What's the Best Beatles song in your opinion? I don’t have a favorite. I like a few, but that’s it. 2013. Why do you suppose that diary sites are more popular with females than males? I don’t know? 2014. What do these color combinations remind you of: orange and pink: Sherbet. pink and green: A pink flower. green and gold: Money.  purple and gold: I don’t know. gold and red: San Francisco 49ers. red and white: Candy canes. blue and grey: Not sure. 2015. What is one selfish thing you tend to do? I’ve been kind of selfish this past year dealing with my health stuff. Chronic illness can be very isolating. I’ve pushed people away. I’ve holed up at home. I haven’t been there for my friends. It hasn’t been good.  2016. When do you think technology will catch up with the Jetson's? I don’t know, man. It’s funny to think that people thought it would be that way by the year 2000. We’re a digital age for sure, but there’s still no flying cars. Though, I don’t even know how that work to be honest. Can you imagine all those cars in the sky? Everyone would have to take flying lessons. Learn the routes. It would be expensive as hell. Craaaazy. 2017. What made you laugh today? My brother. 2018. Do you ever stick your entries in any of the diary circles? I don’t use LiveJournal. 2019. Can you freestyle rap? Haha no.
2020. Are you: stylish? I don’t know. I wear what I like, so since I like it that means I think it looks cute/nice. I follow some trends, but not because it’s “in.” If I like it, I’ll wear it. There’s a lot of fashion trends that I’m like, ...no.
shiek? Is this supposed to be chic? If so, isn’t that the same as stylish? smart? Meh. I guess. I mean, we all are in different ways. I always think of the Einstein quote that basically says don’t judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree. That’s not it’s area or its skill. But put it in its environment, and it knows what to do.  2021. Do you find you self only buying brand name products? Not always. With some things, yes. 2022. Would you ever want to buy an article of clothing or an acessory because you saw a celebrity wear it? If I saw it, and liked it. Not just because that celebrity wore it. Like I said, I wear what I like, not just what is “in.” 2023. What song do you feel the sexiest dancing to? I don’t feel sexy.

What is one thing you are terrible at: Just one thing? 2036. What's your favorite: rap song: country song: industrial song: cover song: punk song: odd song: 2037. What do you get your teacher or your boss for the holidays? I only got a few teachers something for the holidays, it wasn’t something I did every year. I probably did it more often in elementary school. It would be something a box of candy. 2038. Do you like to read books by Virgina Wolfe? I’m not familiar with that author.  2039. What is your favorite tv show from when you were a kid? When I was like 4 I was obsessed with Barney. Like obsessed. I’d be upset if I had to miss an episode, so my mom would record them lol. But it would take a lot of work getting that trust back. 2044. Have you ever gone: christmas caroling? Yes. pumpkin picking? Yes. on a hay wagon ride? Yes. on a romantic valentine's day date? No. to a new year's eve party? Yes. to a memorial day parade? No. to the Macy's thanksgiving day parade? Nope. to search for gold coins on st patrick's day? Nope. 2045. Have you ever done any modeling? Ha, no. 2046. Would you consider yourself to be psychologically damaged? I got some issues.  2047. How aware are you of the reasons behind your actions and words? If you were going to die tomorrow and you were leaving a postcard for someone to read after you were gone what would it say? I really don’t know. 2055. What kinds of people do you find intimidating? The intimidating kind. 2057. How much conviction do you have in your feelings and beliefs? I don’t know how to put an amount on that. I truly believe what I believe and feel what I feel? Maybe my feelings aren’t always justified, or maybe they’re exaggerated, but I still feel them wholeheartedly. 2058. Is divorce something you would ever consider or do you feel that marriage is permanantly binding? If I ever got married, and things just weren’t working out after we tried working on our marriage and used the resources and help available to us, then divorce would be the next step. I believe in trying to work things out first, if possible. Unless it’s an extreme case and abuse is involved.  2069. What's the strangest movie you ever saw? Hmm. There’s been a few. A Clockwork Orange came to mind first. 2070. I’d sure like to try it out at least. 2071. Does it seem like life is more difficult for you than for anyone else? We all have our struggles. Sometimes it might seem like other people have it all figured out and don’t have many problems, but truth is you just never really know what someone is going through. I guess; though, because we are the ones experiencing our life and the difficulties we face, it may seem more difficult in comparison sometimes just cause it’s your reality. That’s why I don’t like when people say you shouldn’t be upset because others have it worse. It doesn’t make what I’m experiencing any less or any better. It’s very real for me. 2072. What is your favorite girl's name? I don’t really have a favorite girl’s name. 2080. Do you ever feel guilty for being more fortunate then others? I feel fortunate, grateful, and appreciative. That’s why I try not to take things for granted. I feel sad others aren’t so fortunate, and I wish that wasn’t the case. What is evian spelled backwards? Naive. Ha. 2083. You drop 10 pounds of feathers and a ten pound bowling ball off the top of the same building. Which will hit the ground first? Isn’t it the feathers? Michael Jackson song? Doors song? Rolling Stones song? David Bowie song? Elvis song? 2089. Asking your boyfriend these questions will not only start a fun conversation but also help you get to know him better. For a relationship to stay passionate and last long, you need to know your partner inside out. There will be no bonding if you are not on the same wavelength.
But, men are known to be a bit aloof and closed off when it comes to communicating their feelings. Most of them use one-word answers, making it very difficult to keep the dialogue going. It can really feel like getting your teeth pulled! This method of asking questions will help you both talk about a particular subject in depth.
You need more than just small talk if you want your bae to come out of his shell, especially if he is the shy type. You also need to be ready to ask lots of follow-up questions as well. Every guy is unique, so some of the questions may not work for your guy. Find the ones that work for you both and get the conversation going! Have fun!

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Esther Freud and David Morrissey split
Actor David Morrissey and novelist wife Esther Freud has announced their separation after 13 year together
With his brooding good looks and her fascinating family history, actor David Morrissey and novelist Esther Freud were one of society’s most celebrated showbusiness couples.
So I am sad to report that the couple, who met at drama school 26 years ago, have separated. They had been married 13 years.
‘It’s a great shame, but they just couldn’t make it work any longer,’ one of their many friends tells me. ‘They are making sure that the interests of their three children come first.’
The couple, who shared a house in Hampstead, are now living separately in North London.
As recently as last year, Esther, who is the 55-year-old daughter of late artist Lucian Freud, was talking affectionately in interviews about Morrissey, 54, the star of television dramas including The Walking Dead and The Deal, in which he played Gordon Brown.
Morrissey, who has been hailed as one of the most talented actors of his generation, did, though, highlight the great differences in their backgrounds. While he is the son of a Liverpudlian cobbler and a mother who worked for Littlewoods, Esther’s bohemian childhood formed the basis of her acclaimed novel Hideous Kinky, which was turned into a 1998 film starring Kate Winslet.

The great-granddaughter of the founder of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, Esther is one of Lucian Freud’s 14 children. Her mother is the writer and gardener Bernardine Coverley.
Morrissey has credited Esther with helping to teach him self-discipline.
‘Suddenly,’ he said, ‘I was with someone who imposed a work structure upon themselves.
‘There we were, we’d just met and fallen in love and suddenly, even in my own flat, I was outside my bedroom waiting for two o’clock so I could go in and kiss her.’
Freud and Morrissey declined to comment.
The smart set’s talking about… The Sultan of Brunei’s party-loving prince
As the international outcry intensifies against the Sultan of Brunei after his decree that gay men in his country are to be stoned to death, spare a thought for his exuberant son, Prince Azim.
The party-loving prince — one of the Sultan’s four children by his second wife, former air hostess Hajah Mariam — would be heartbroken if Brunei became a pariah state.
Blessed with a playful spirit, Prince Azim, 36, is pictured here in characteristic pose at a London party, enjoying the company of Pamela Anderson.

While the evergreen Baywatch babe favoured a mask and little black dress crafted from PVC, he opted for snakeskin-effect sheer T-shirt. It was offset by powder-blue feather boas, ripped jeans and a pert top hat with a fan-veil of the sort that milliner Philip Treacy might design for Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot — plus a key, dangling from his neck.
Azim, who followed his father to Sandhurst but lasted only a week, has a serious side, of course, once designing a unisex suitcase for luxury goods brand MCM.
Described as a chic travel bag, it was, said one report, ‘destined to bring out the princess within’.
The Queen cancelled her visit to Newbury, where she had a runner in the 3.40 yesterday, after the death of one of her best friends, Jeannie, the Dowager Countess of Carnarvon, at the age of 83.
Her Majesty had been due to stay for the weekend with the American-born Countess’s family, who live near Newbury racecourse. Jeannie’s late husband, Porchy, was Her Majesty’s close confidant and racing manager. A lively character, she was played by actress Andrea Deck in TV’s The Crown.
Even last year, she was still doing Pilates at her dower house on her family’s Highclere Castle estate, where Downton Abbey is filmed.
Fleabag’s naughty priest breaks up with boyfriend
As the ‘hot priest’ in BBC hit comedy Fleabag (right), Andrew Scott leaves Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s character desolate at a bus stop.
In real life, he’s nursing his own broken heart. I hear Scott, 42, has split up with his partner of ten years, the actor and writer Stephen Beresford, 47, inset.
They had shared a London home. ‘I live alone now,’ Scott has confirmed. Asked if he had a new companion, he replied: ‘I have a lot of love in my life, but I prefer not to talk about that.’
Previously best known as Benedict Cumberbatch’s antagonist Moriarty in BBC hit Sherlock, Scott has been hailed as the ‘sexiest man on TV’ after his charismatic turn as a Catholic priest who breaks his vows in a fling with Fleabag’s dysfunctional heroine.

If you bump into Dame Vivienne Westwood, who turned 78 this week, best not wish her a happy birthday.
‘I didn’t celebrate,’ the queen of punk-turned-eco-campaigner tells me at a private viewing of Demelza Kids, a show of works by fashion photographer Juergen Teller at Bonhams in Mayfair.

‘I just stayed at home with my secretary and worked on saving the world. There’s so much to do.
‘I did think it would be nice to go to work — people would like it — but then I don’t like cake or champagne much.’
The eccentric designer, whose clothes are worn by everyone from Theresa May to Angelina Jolie, even banned her husband, Andreas Kronthaler, 67, who now runs her fashion label, from giving her a gift.
‘I don’t need any presents. He gave me a lovely card.’
Now two’s company for Prue
Cookery queen Prue Leith is changing her recipe for a happy marriage.
Until now, twice-married Prue, 79, has extolled the joys of keeping apart.
But the genial Bake Off judge has decided she wants to live with her husband of three years, the retired clothes designer John Playfair, after all.
And she plans to build a new home on her farm in the Cotswolds so he can move in.
Prue Leith plans on converting farm buildings on her Cotswold property so that husband John Playfair can move in
‘The time has come when she and John want to live together, but in a place where they can each have their own quarters,’ one of her friends tells me. ‘They have designed a place themselves, which they are making out of a big old farm building on the land she owns.’
Her agent confirms: ‘Prue and her husband do have plans to convert some redundant farm buildings on her land into a single property.’
‘He lives a mile away from me,’ Prue said, after marrying John, 71.
‘He’s got a lot of stuff and I’m rather anally neat and tidy and I don’t want all that stuff in my house. And he doesn’t want me tidying it up.’
London is to be the scene of a reunion between former U.S. presidents this weekend. I hear that Barack Obama, who is over for his wife Michelle’s talk at the huge 02 Arena tomorrow, is planning to meet up with Bill Clinton, also in the capital with his wife, Hillary.
I wonder if the Obamas will pop into Frogmore Cottage to see their friends Prince Harry and Meghan while they’re here?
Princess Diana would be touched to see how close Prince William has stayed to her old friend Julia Samuel. I hear the Duke of Cambridge asked Julia, a grief counsellor, to be his official representative at the Chelsea memorial service on Thursday for cancer expert Professor Martin Gore, whom William described as an ‘inspiration’. In 2013, William asked Julia to be a godmother to Prince George.
Duchess gives her blessing to Missy’s new man
When Lady Melissa Percy married Thomas van Straubenzee, the ceremony was attended by Princes William and Harry.
Could wedding bells soon be heard again at her family seat, Alnwick Castle, which doubled as Hogwarts in Harry Potter films?
‘Missy’, as the 31-year-old is known to chums, divorced Tom in 2016. And her new romance with American hedge fund boss Remy Trafelet, 48, is going so well that he has already met her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland. ‘We really love Remy,’ her mother, Jane, tells me at the launch of Tim Bouverie’s book, Appeasing Hitler, at China Exchange in Soho.
‘We’re just happy for them because they both had marriages that didn’t work and they now have a second chance at being happy. I would be happy for them to get married when the time’s right.’
Macca’s boy brings the church down!
With his cherubic cheeks and twinkly smile, James McCartney was the image of his father as he performed a secret gig on Thursday night.
Sir Paul’s 41-year-old son received a standing ovation at Heath Street Baptist Church in London’s Hampstead, where he sang and played guitar and piano at an exhibition by photographer Danny Clifford called Rock Stars Don’t Smile.
One of his most moving songs, Angel, was written around the time of his mother Linda’s death from breast cancer in 1998.
At one point, James joked that he sounded less like his father and more like his fellow Beatle John Lennon.
Like father, like son: James McCartney (left) received a standing ovation for a performance at Heath Street Baptist Church in London’s Hampstead, taking after father Sir Paul (right)
Has Prince Charles secured a powerful ally in his crusade for alternative medicine?
I ask because the Health Secretary and prime ministerial wannabe, Matt Hancock, made an 800-mile round trip to hold private talks with the heir to the throne on Wednesday at one of his Scottish residences, Dumfries House.
Officials decline to comment on what the two men discussed. But their meeting took place a week after Hancock, 40, spoke at a reception in support of ‘social prescription’ therapies hosted by Charles at Clarence House.
On that occasion, Hancock — whose wife, Martha, is an osteopath — lamented that doctors were ‘dishing out’ too many pills. Music to Charles’s princely ears.
(Very) modern manners
Brexit is a no-go subject at most dinner parties, but imagine what it’s like at Boris Johnson’s family get-togethers.

Speaking at an Amnesty International bash at L’Escargot in London’s Soho, Rachel adds: ‘There is a liberal side of the family that is overlooked in the narrative of the Johnsons being this ambitious, power-hungry, blond tribe.’
