Man you can't tell me his smile just not sends you to cloudnine. That one panel of him smiling at Nagi got me cursing that bitch for making Reo cry. He's so precious I'm crying. Nagi better have tripped 50 times after walking away from him. His smile is so genuine. Reo is so easy to read off field. His emotions are always easily seen based on his expressions and how he acts. Just by looking at his face and eyes, you could really tell how he feels. The way his face lights up and his eyes sparkle when he smiles got butterflies on my tummy. Fuck you Nagi.
MEGURU "we're happy, free, confused, and lonely in the best way" - 22
Bachira is always a mix of emotions. I genuinely believes he can feel and handle a lot of emotions at the same time and still only show one, and he chooses what to show. He's always smiling or calm despite the chaos on field and everything. He's so chill. He'd be the fun person to be around everytime. He's a flexible person. He could be fun when it's the mood, and bring out his lonely feeling when you talk deep. But he's so optimistic he lits up the mood again. He's the type to just go with the flow of anything and worry about something when it's there. The fact that he finds a way to make himself kind of okay is amazing cuz I would honestly lash out on everyone in the field.
RIN "back then we didn't know, we were built to fall apart" - the very first time
Ah, he's definitely the angsty childhood friends to strangers trope. The moment Sae broke him he was bound to break everything around him. Even if he hurts people unintentionally, the damage is still done, no? He inherited his brother's sharp tongue and bad attitude so if you aren't a masochist or a simp, better stay away cuz this man could make you cry with a sentence. It doesn't really help that he literally grew up all over Sae. It's not like Rin is the type to say "go away cuz you're distracting me from my revenge" or something, but his change drives people away from hi.
SEISHIRO "it's me, hi. i'm the problem it's me" - anti-hero
Literally sucks at communicating. He'd be the person who would slack off at communicating and do whatever he wants when he thinks you know him enough. He's probably think you know he'd buy a new house when he complains about the broken cieling. You better get that laziness out of your spoiled ass and start trying harder AND IF YOU DONT WANT REO ILL TAKE HIM. Get your game face on GET YOUR GAME FACE ON. Don't confuse and play with my Reo's feelings you asshole.
HYOMA "i'm captivated by you baby like a firework show" - sparks fly
You cannot tell me you don't internally scream when you see this pretty man. I believe in Chigiri Hyoma supremacy, I believe that he gets all the attention he deserves everywhere he goes, and I refuse to believe that no one in blue lock had even a slight crush on him. He's just so pretty and gorgeous and cute and talented and fast and charming and dreamy and fast and red. Please let me touch your hair you can kick me afterwards. I went into daydream mode the first time I saw him.

Don't even get me started on this one. He's so obvious. Tbh, in real life, you'd be pretty stupid if you didn't notice sooner. Getting with him on a committed relationship, a fubu, or a fwb would be a risky 50/50 if you're weak for guys like him, better run, but if you're a flagpole then why not? You could fall for him for all he cares, he just wants to have fun.
SAE "why'd i have to break what i love so much?" - afterglow
Now he'd defnitely be the one to lash out. Aside from the Rin drama, if Sae had a childhood sweetheart or something like that, they would either end up like Rin or slowly experience and see the change in Sae. From his usual teasing manner to the dry, lesser and lesser text and messages. He'd be the type to lash out and tell you to go away when you pry too much for his taste. Sharp tongued, bad attitude, sharper actions, so realistic to the point that he does so much damage around him and what's worse is that he doesn't care. He knowd what he's doing and he just doesn't care enough. It's not he doesn't love or like Rin or his 'if' childhood sweetheart, it's just the way he is after his change. He's like a fire burning everything on his path, and he just keeps going.
YUKIMIYA "darling, i fancy you" - london boy
Like, have you seen this man? He's a 3 in 1. Angst, Fluff and Sm-- hehehehe. He's so pretty, soft boy at first look and then sexy at the second, then angsty health drama in the third. My yukki is so strong for handling his sickness so well :') come here and lemme give you a hug.
MICHAEL "he's so obsessed with me and, boy, i understand" - i think he knows
Ness, I completely understand, it's completely justified. This man is gorgeous and he fucking knows it. He's probably the center of attention when he walks in and he loves every bit of it. BUT THE NEXT TIME HE BULLIES NESS IM RIPPING OF THAT REMAINING HAIR ON HIS BACK :D Aside from him annoying himsagi everytime and being a menance to everyone, who wouldn't love him? Talented, handsome, and don't even get me started on that 300M.
ALEXIS "'cause darling i'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream" - blank space
Oh boy only a little more and he's gonna fucking snap and rip himsagi's neck off. His smile is so babyboy and innocent but when he closest his eyes you better run. Many people probably think he's just one of those die hard Kaiser defenders who bark and be a stupid, good for nothing moron in the field but my Ness is very strong and boy he BITES. Reo version 5. Kaiser, make up your mind seriously, I'll take him if you don't want him.
YOICHI "i swear i don't love the drama, it loves me" - end game
Pretty self-explanatory. I feel so bad for him. My boy just wants to play soccer and suddenly he's a double love story antagonist and a brother stealer :') ever since Rin and Nagi came into the picture he lost Bachira. Like, just go away and give him back Bachira. Then there goes Kaiser and Ness drama, an upgraded version of reonagi. Reonagi drama level 3. Cuz level one is them, them level two is Kunigiri. GIVE HIM THE BALL AND LEAVE HIM ALONE. Need to build a government himsagi protection squad cuz Ness is probably gonna break his legs sooner or later.

OK SO. i think im a little..? dissapointed..? abt sider order?? like im kinda conflicted abt the lore, also i suck BALLS at the game
the thing is i have done 5 runs so far AND COULDNT GET A SINGLE WIN. the most i can do is up to floor 20.... im literally so bad at this game I ONCE DIED 2 TIMES IN AN EASY LEVEL. im newgen guys.
maybe im not fit for rougelike games but like... idk. i feel like me and the fandom as a whole expected so much more from side order. i feel like if the game is gonna make you replay the same stuff over and over again it should atleast have a SOUL CRUSHING LITERARY MASTERPIECE TYPE OF LORE like OE and Alterna
AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW DIRTY THEY DID FOUR???? literally called them an irrelavent loser and then sweeped them aside... THEY DONT EVEN HAVE A PALETTE ICON???? theyre not even a secret boss smh.... agent 4 had so much potential I WILL NEVER FORGIVE NINTENDO FOR THIS. and like sure the parallel canon level kind of includes four but that thing is literally an npc??? like imagine what they couldve done with the story if they had included four in it:
when four is left out from the squidbeak splatoon they try to prove themselves by siding with marina with her project. it makes perfect sense. marina and four are both scared of being seperated by their loved ones. but four gets consumed by their anger and jealousy and goes full order mode LIKE DO YOU GUYS SEE MY VISION!!!! i will be forever mad that we didnt get this.
also why is murch out of all the chracters have a pallete??? why didnt they put in captain 3 or something????? sheldon i kinda understand since hes also kinda a part of the squidbeak splatoon BUT MURCH??? get the fuck out!!!
negative stuff aside tho. i love pearl and marina so much. THIS IS THE PEARLINA GAME GUYS!!!!! pearl literally mentions that marina and her sleep in the SAME BED???? marina is so autistic. my little autism creature. so yeah. i hope i can finish the run atleast ONCE. but like. idk i havent finished the game but side order jsut makes me feel. sad... and lonely...?? unlike octo expension where you could see more and more people using the metros and the chatrooms between marina and pearl are just AUUGGHHH OE IS A GAME. ABOUT CONNECTIONS OK. it makes me feel warm and happy and even though eight became traumatized i like to think that she healed and in the process met so many important people in her life.
in side order i dont see anything in eight*??? is she traumatized??? is she vibing??? is she happy to help??? I LITERALLY CANT TELL. side order makes me feel so cold and empty like do you guys understand what i mean. and its probably becasue it doesnt even take place in the real world. and the thing is. i understand that side order is supposed to be everything that OE couldnt be. i understand that. both games have their own quirks BUT. i just cant seem to make myself love it unlike any other story mode in splatoon...... im really trying to be not biased here but yeah. these are my opinions for side order
AFTER GAME THOUGHTS
HELLO. so yes i somehow managed to win the game. and honestly. the final boss was pretty fun and everyone was so cute at the end omg... but i still think that side order is a bit underdevloped.... i dont even know if ill try to %100 is cuz playing it makes me SO STRESSFUL im glad i get to finish a run BUT i will definetly not be touching side order atleast for a while.... but despite i had plenty of stuff i didnt like in side order the ending managed to make me forget all that haha

(im not writing this as i go since ive already read the issue before. ill also be mentioning gotham war since this takes place during it (just a warning for spoilers!))

now i'm kinda curious actually... do you think when luke got his illness and all, do you think nsb would've let him retire then and there, or is luke just so good of an agent that they couldn't let them go? cause i can sort imagine nsb going like: "hey luke, we can let you off. we'll handle treatment and all. but please live a normal life" but then luke rejecting that offer because he'd still want be useful in some way... HUUUUU
THIS IS A FUN QUESTIONS CUZ LIKE.....i have several different views on how it could go
but before i go into this i wanna make it clear that like, i do Not think that nsb lets or even Wants luke to retire at his current age. illness aside, hes 24 and at his prime in terms of the rest of his health and his skills, AND in canon we see the nsb as still actively giving luke orders and missions (heck, the nsb is the entire reason luke is in the nxx investigation team at all, hes there on nsb orders and im never forgetting that because what a delightful chekov's gun; the only member of the team who has a completely different organization as another power to listen to)
SO all these views on how the nsb lets him go to stellis is less of the nsb allowing a retirement, and more of the nsb allowing a location reassignment. since that seems to fit better with what we see in canon.
plus, in canon, it's already mentioned that the Main Reason luke moved back to stellis was because of the nsb order to join the nxx team, with the secondary reason that luke was aligned with this because this would let him investigate the drug's origin
SO all these views additionally are more talking about like.....more factors to help sway that decision In Addition to the canon factors
so my three views on how this goes is
1 ) they really just let him go/allowed his reassignment when he asked because hes just that good
this is the premise i use the MOST in my fics: in my aaron & luke NSB days fic "excuse me, sir, i am this agent's emotional support babysitter" and what i vaguely imply in the flashbacks of my one lukerosa fic "but little do we know, the stars welcome him with open arms" and the reason is cuz.......personal agency is a great narrative tool and theme
in both those fics, i was basically trying to highlight that luke's biggest enemy and thing that is dragging him down and making things hard for himself is, honestly, himself.
so how it goes in this view of "the nsb letting him go back to stellis" is that luke just has to ask. here's an excerpt from the aaron & luke fic (which, for context, is set before luke gets his illness):
It’s a sensitive topic, he’s come to learn. Luke's reactions swing between being vaguely hopeful to extremely volatile, when Aaron brings this up. “This” being how he thinks Luke should go home, go back to this certain someone he mentions sometimes, someone he seems to really care about. Like high tide and low tide, some days are manageable and other days drown Luke completely. On the good days, Luke stops the conversation and says that he’ll think about it. On the bad days…
“I wonder what music she likes now,” Luke mumbles pensively.
“You should ask her,” Aaron takes a chance. “When you get back to her.”
Because all it’ll take is Luke making the decision. If the mighty Agent Raven appeals for a reassignment to Stellis, Aaron is pretty sure he’ll get it without question. He’s too valuable to piss off with bureaucracy, so all the kid has to do is want to go back. It’s simple.
Luke doesn’t think it’s simple, though, and he goes quiet for a few seconds.
and there we have it, this bit in a fic i wrote in 2022 explains view number 1. i dont think the nsb willingly wants to lose agent raven in their main location of operations, but agent raven is too valuable to disagree with.
good thing he never makes any demands, not even the most human demand of wanting to go home.
this premise is a favorite of mine to lean back on in stories since it frames luke's self loathing and guilt as the main factor holding him back from joy. it highlights the unhealthiness of luke's mental state and the sheer consequences it causes. all that was between him and reuniting with his childhood best friend was a request, such a tiny thing that people know would get approved, but he himself wouldnt let him take that chance for a long time.
2 ) they let him go because hes just that good + his illness softened the way because he became less of an asset thanks to his time limit
view number 2 is basically view number 1 but with the nsb being much slimier (which still leads to the good effect of letting luke go back home) but BASICALY here: they REALLY dont want luke to leave the main location of operation, but hes too valuable to piss off and oofsies okay his illness now technically means he isnt at his prime.
their best agent has a time limit now, and thats kinda a bummer from a govt organization standpoint
this view is less "luke go forth and live a better life with the years u still have!" and more of the much unkinder "dang our favorite weapon is breaking :/ and hes not as perfect anymore because of that :/ fine fiiiine go home or whatever if you wanna and be productive to relevant cases there, you might as well"
basically view number 2 is view number 1 but now with more....systemic ableism //cringe emoji
but this is the premise that is the "most canon" in my head, even if i dont use it in fic as much. simply because it takes stock of both of luke's main issues (his horrible mental health and his deterioriating physical health) AND cuz....well....i know the nsb has been mostly shown as neutral-to-benevolent force in canon so far, but can ya blame me for not trusting the shady government organization? HAHA. ableism is definitely the kind of crummy that cld thrive in an environment like that
but speaking of horrid things...
3 ) they let him go because his reassignment to stellis and his illness perfectly coincided with the rise of the NXX Team and i fully think that the nsb has something to do with the nxx drug
AND NOW WE SWERVE INTO SOME BIG BAD GUY SHIT!!
some canon facts:
luke's illness was caused by an nxx contamination of the medicine used to treat him after a Disastrous Mission
that Disastrous Mission was an nsb mission that killed all his colleagues EXCEPT him
luke joining the nxx investigation team in 2030 was due to the nsb giving him orders to do so
some questions i have now about those canon facts
how did luke's medicine become contaminated with nxx?? i assume he was being treated by the nsb in an nsb facility, the security would be tight. how the heck did the nxx drug get past that.
how the heck did the nxx drug get past all that and get to luke specifically? luke who is now a very specific person because he was the only one to survive that mission. lethal drug contamination to only survivor sounds VERY MUCH like foul play was involved, doncha think?
sure, luke's assignment to the nxx team couldve been because it was convenient, they had their best agent there already with worthwhile personal stakes in the nxx drug. but....that seems TOO CONVENIENT, DONCHA THINK???
what im saying here is that i think the nsb definitely was setting this up. either they set up the mission and/or set up the contamination to get agent raven into the nxx team. why? idk yet. but again, i dont trust mysterious govt agencies HAHA, so thats my 3rd view
so...as u can see, all my views dont really posit the nsb as the good guys JHVSKJHFVDKSJ. at most, they can be the Meh guys, but whether or not they have Something to do with the broader nxx drug plot, it IS canon that like...
luke got caught up in an operation with them when he was 16-17 years old, and that led to him joining and led to them getting their most skilled agent
so how much of that was coincidence? and even if it was a coincidence, how much of "letting a teenager into a cutthroat govt organization before he's even legal" is ethical? if the nsb cld allow that, then their broader views of the value of Human Beings seems uh shallow, to say the least. and luke took to that kind of environment like he was meant for it, because even before the nsb and before his illness, he already had a deep desire to be useful, to not be a burden, to protect the people he loves and people who cannot protect themselves.
luke was a martyr in the making honored to take up the mantle. he was perfect for the nsb. way, way too perfect.
i dont think the nsb would let go of somebody like that without good reason, without strings attached, or without the "letting go" not actually being the freedom luke and the rest of us thinks it is

ill say, its kinda funny youve got 2 aus where Lilith just ends up taking care of a young Hunter cuz Wow You Really Like The Idea That Much (the "when all the characters you like follow a pattern" kind of funny.) but I am also obsessed cuz...the idea of Lilith with a child is fascinating, especially with Hunter. She's already so exhasperated with Eda's childish endeavors as it is, and she seems to not be..exactly good with children per se? (the times weve seen her interact with children at least.) And she also doesn't hold Hunter in high regards and so the idea of "What if Lilith raised him when he is but a small child?" is so entretaining and I think your Vampire AU explores it in a great way!! Like shes mildly annoyed at all times but its bc shes tired and hungry and stressed out and shes also in the position of basically raising him and she knows she should be gentler with him but she cant, and thats so very Lilith. Like such a very close to canon protayal of her.
Im sorry for making this very long, I was just rotating ur aus and ideas so I had to spill em out!!
ahhh!! please dont apologize i love talking about lilith and esp that vampire au lol. and it's actually a worry of mine that people think i don't understand lilith or am mischaracterizing her, simply because i happen to draw tender things!! (i say this because i don't see lilith as a very tender person, not naturally.)
thank you for saying that about my vampire au wheeze, cause i try very hard to use that au for that!! she's pretty rough with him because she's in this position where she's forced to care for something that is both a child and a predator to her. like he can literally kill her dead. but she was also a very solitary person prior to finding him and i really like thinking about her coming to the decision not to kill him and taking him under her wing. lilith is not heartless and we see that she has a conscience about others, particularly when she's not in competition for something. (when she was younger and shared pain with eda, when she hugs eda and tries to comfort her when she's crying about luz being so young and involved in all the chaos.) but she's not maternal, she's not naturally tender as an adult, she's not someone who's had to think about caring for another living thing, she thinks selfishly. she's someone who's had her focus on herself, hiding, feeding, keeping herself going all these years. and in the au, in hunters case, i kept him as an isolated character that hadn't experienced a caring guardian or parent and even though lilith is not very good at it, he doesn't know any better because of that and because he's so young. so it's almost like lilith has room for error and to build their relationship as she is because hunter just doesn't even know.
sometimes i think about the part where lilith shields luz from the stone sleeper. she throws her entire body over her, but it's all while saying ''eda is going to kill me, eda is going to kill me." this isn't to say she doesn't care about luz, but her drive to protect her is for her sister. she doesn't... like, she doesn't naturally have this instinct to be a guardian. WHEEZE, so it is the most fun and greatest of my past times to think about lilith parenting hunter in different aus. lol. I LOVE IT!!! i love her and i love him.
before i get going too long with this i'll just say thank you again and im so happy and glad that people like the aus so much. i have a human au i am really interested in sharing because it's just so cute. it's lilith with a BABY so it's very interesting to think about it all. im a little shy 'bout this one but we'll see how it goes.
i'm also going to use this ask to clarify that i don't just shove lilith and hunter together this way cause i like the idea. of course i LOVE the idea, but i do think about it as thoroughly as i'm able to, and because i love lilith (and hunter) so much, exploring her character in depth is something i just love doing. i think about her so much rip.

i am as i said, pretty laid back to write out of context one night stands and such. these are just particulary if we don't ship but test the waters and such. when it comes to actual development, going from the very beginning i suppose everything starts when ace actually catches feelings but doesn't understand them yet. like, exploration of different ways of touching and why it feels better than he imagines. so, pretty long but not as long to never reach that point.

yes. i do like relations, and shipping doesn't have to be romantic, y'know ? im selective with seeing if it can work towards the romance or just stay as platonic relation because muses mesh better as friends to me, or found family. i love many different kinds of relation, exploring them. with romance i can usually tell when ace peeks curiously towards someone.

yes, every ship has their respected universe unless i'm shipping trios like ace/zo/san with @celestiialnotes & @goreburdened then i try to work out a shared verse /w both of the muns. only exception is trafalgar because i'm exclusive to @kiriage. i however don't collect ships, i don't like it so i usually have only 3 ships of the same character in their respectful universes. i don't wish to make people upset that i'm shipping ace with too many versions of the same character, and i'd feel bad about it myself. so i have my limit when it comes to canons.

how DO alternates get attached, anyway? what does it even do other than make you not wanna kill people?

but fr. its hard 2 really give a concrete answer bcuz us alts see attachment as like. taboo basically. if gabe catches you getting attached to a human it uh. its not pretty. other than the torture you get for disobeying Him you get like... exiled almost, or... whats the word He used once?
excommunicated. yeah that one.
there have been studies on attachment though, i think the u.s... uh... well idr the exact name but it was some fancy shmancy government dept thats done a couple . havent read em though LOL
anyways. ig i can try to explain as best i can from my experience w attachment . n atlas can chime in if he wants too idk and uh . ill try to make it make sense (spoilers it probably still wont lmao). this isnt a definitive like... guide or anything im basically just posting general rambles abt what ive learned over my days lol
so. i think all alternates want to be loved, no matter how far down theyve buried that want. were conditioned from creation to think that gabriel is the only one who can love us, but He wont unless we follow His command to the letter. and what that translates to is killing humans senselessly . and not only that but like. us alts... we like violence. we want to kill. its integral to our beings. none of us can really be "nice" or "good" 24/7 and that uh ... tends to sound scary to the average person . so even if we did all collectively decide to turn against gabe and humans like... magically forgave us for killing and kidnapping thousands of people, its not like we could ever be "normal" members of society. its not like we could ever be loved. so no one really bothers trying.
anyways, from what i can tell, alternate attachment happens when that kinda barrier between humans and alts gets broken (at least from the alt's perspective), and it typically happens when an alt is in close proximity to its assigned victim for a long period of time. that time varies from alt to alt too, like it deffo took a lot longer for atlas to get attached to cesar than it did for me to get attached to mark. nd i could be wrong abt this but i also noticed like. the more a victim interacts w their alternate, even if theyre doing it in a threatened or scared way, the more likely it is for the alt to get attached. "taking an interest" in a specific human is the most telltale sign of attachment, to the point that the phrase is pretty much "slang" for it among alts .
also just to clear this up: while alternate attachment can be romantic, it absolutely doesnt have to be. not at all. id describe my attachment to mark as like. familial honestly. and sometimes there arent even human words to describe an alts attacemt. its a spectrum yk? so dont think any of this is inheritly romantic or some shit cuz ill beat you up
as for what it does. well .
you dont know when u first meet a human that youre gonna get attached. i certainly didnt . so u just kinda do ur thing n shit, but sometimes it doesnt work and the human lives so ur like. okay ill try again . or maybe youre just doing a long job and ur learning all of ur victims habits n shit. and thats where it kinda begins
the first thing you notice is that like. even though its ur job to kill your human its like. its fun to keep them alive . yk . you grow to like the sound of em screaming in terror , or them freezing up when they see you . whcih. yeah that sounds kinda fucked to you guys but . just bear w me okay .
anyways. eventually it gets to the point where, even if youve been given several opportunities to kill your human, you dont take them cuz its just that fun to mess w em. this is kinda where the "taking an interest" thing comes in too . and then THAT goes into "ok wait . do i rlly have to kill them eventually ?? i dont want to do that theyre funny :(((("
eventually you realize that like. shit . i dont want this human to die at all. like. at ALL. to the point you'd fight off other threats just to keep them safe. and you get this just- rush of an emotion youve never felt before whenever youre around them. aand you realize. thats love. you feel love towards them, no matter what kind of love that is. its. it feels so wrong at first and- and you hate it, but it just feels so right to the point where you cant imagine feeling any other way about them.
and as you may have guessed. you start to see the human as your own. its kinda hard to really describe but,, it makes sense if you experience it. you need to protect them and love them and hold them so so close or else they might get away from you. and you change yourself so that you can be worthy of being loved back. its. ough its a crazy ass feeling for sure
this, uh,, doesnt come without problems thouugh. for one just cuz an alternates attached to a human doesnt mean the human necessarily likes them back. in fact its honestly really lucky that both me and atlas got attached to humans that actually didnt hate us. (for a while at least.) theres a fuck ton of rumors that get spread around of those who got attached and excommunicated, only for the human they were attached to kill themself because they couldnt live with an alt constantly following them around and trying to talk to them.
...i cant describe how lucky i am that mark came back.
not to mention you hafta constantly live in fear all the damn time cuz you could get discovered n tortured at any moment. its. its really shit but damn it if your human doesnt make it all worth it. damn it if you wouldnt endure any kind of danger just to stick with them. damn it if you dont want to comfort them and feel murderous rage whenever theyre sad and.

Hi hello everyone the rabbit brainrot is sinking in but the turtle brainrot is still going strong, so instead of working on my wips an au that keeps haunting the back of mind may soon be coming to light,
It's a miyamoto usagi x rise donnie single dads/sugar daddy au
It's comic usagi with only a few backstory/relationship tweaks to better fit rottmnt world.
Donnie is aged up and Shelldon is aged down to make him around Jotaro's age but a few years older.
Rambles/Ideas about this below:
Donnie(+the rest of the gang) are all grown up adults, Leo and Raph still live in the lair, Mikey has moved out but rooms with April, there's background caseynardo(Cassandra not Junior) and Leo's considering moving out too, or to expanding the lair/taking another part of the sewers as home to live with Casey, Draxum is entertaining the idea of moving in with Splinter, aroace sunset duo because im aroace and say so, and this fic/au is all about self indulgence baybeee
Oh yeah about Shelldon being younger than canon, so Jotaro is also younger than canon, daycare-1st/2nd grade age range, ill have to review child development stages for specific age but its a toddler/kid era Jotaro and kid Shelldon. Basically Shelldon started out the same as canon except his first form was a lot more robotic with less personality and when the guys reprogrammed him he gained sentience like how 2k3 Nano did, starting out with having the mind like that of a young human child before maturing, because tech gaining sentience is like being born. So Shelldon isn't teen son to another teen but actual toddler son to teen, and yes he goes haywire but its more he's programmed to no longer favor Donnie and Donnie ruins his fun playtime and doesn't realize what he's doing is wrong or too far cuz he's a toddler he doesn't know what morals are or what's socially acceptable and the only reason he gets what object permanence is is because he's advanced ai.
Anyway by the time of meeting Jotaro Shelldon is now a kid instead of toddler(3rd/4th grade I'm thinking), and Donnie is in his mid-late 20s. Usagi is older but idk by how much, not like creepy agegap, but enough between them that Usagi feels like as the elder he should be taking charge instead of relying on the younger man. And Donnie is just like, we are two parent-aged adults of sound mind and body able to make our own decisions, I have free time/money, you don't, let me take care of you.
This is what happens when you binge read leo#sagi/leoi#chi/usatello/doni#chi fics and they don't scratch that specific itch and then you remember that one post going; Cant find that fic/fanart you want? Make it yourself.

And then that one post about "yeahyeah world weary battle harden warrior taking the never worked a day or suffered in his life prince, but what about the role reversal? With the one never knowing a gentle touch and only with a purpose to serve being served instead, loved and cradled and treated gently instead of roughly? By one with maybe not physically power, or they do but it's hidden behind pretty smiles and soft skin, but power nonetheless, to take care of them to lavish them with gifts and the like? Instead of only caring for others and never themself"

But yeah this au is mostly about giving Miya nice things(except the devil on my shoulder that I will be calling Stan said I needed to put some bitter into the sweet but it's mostly backstory so I let it slide)
I've heard of being productive when you're sick but this menstrual hormones work ethic is kinda off the shits
Anyway this started as purely a Single Dads AU, with a meet-cute(or meet-ugly, depending on your perspective) where Usagi kinda, accidentally, sorta, kidnaps Shelldon while picking up Jotaro from school/daycare
But then the joke of successful businessman/genius inventor Donnie being mistaken as Usagi's sugar daddy wouldn't leave my head, and I was reading Usagi comics and he had some sad boi hours and I was like Nooo and then I was rereading the issues I had read with Mariko, Kenichi and Jotaro to get references for wips, and remembered the tragedy of Usagi's and Jotaro's relationship and went NOOOOOOO.
And decided that Usagi deserves nice things, I need to wrap him in bubble wrap and give him his son or let him HAVE A FUCKIN FAMILY STAN YOU FUCK FIRST YOU TAKE HIS KID AND THEN KEEP HAVING HIM INTERACT WITH KIDS AND HIS SON AND BE GOOD AND HAPPY BUT YEARNING AND FLEETING AND THEN YOU GAVE HIM MOMMY ISSUES ONTOP????? HEY WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH ANYTIME AN OLDER WOMAN IS KIND AND MOTHERLY TO HIM OR THEY BOND OR SOMETHING SHE HAS TO DIE AND BY HIS HAND NO LESS??? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN! DID USAGI'S MOM DIE IN CHILDBIRTH??? IS THAT WHY THERE'S NOTHING ABOUT HER AND WE ONLY SEE HIS DAD? A NEVER ENDING CYCLE OF KILLING HIS MOTHER? AND WE'RE NOT EVEN FUCKIN GOING INTO HIS LOVELIFE. STAN EXPLAIN YOURSELF

OHO YES! there is no such thing as bad timing to ask about ocs, im just incredibly happy that somebody is interested!! heheh time to Ramble (this is long sorry)
ok so im gonna stick to the bird kids cuz theyre a lot easier to explain GSJFD (maybe someday ill give my other ocs refs and backstory stuff....)
all four of em are very much based off how i play the game as each character, so i pretty much just grab my in-game behaviour and give it to em as a personality.
so, lorikeet! splat3 is still very new but i think ive somehow already solidified their personality lmao. theyre super reckless, pretty much always falling off stages and getting themself splatted by doing stupid things like running headfirst to a tacticooler or trying to challenge the eliter that wont leave them alone (i think mahi-mahi is the absolute worst for this). they like to go a little bit cazy and get as many kills as possible, which is silly when the only mode u play is turf war... (on that, there is not a single splatoon game that has gotten me to like ranked/league. i played it a few times and then swore off it, so now all four of the kids hate ranked lol)
lori fucking ADORES deep cut so theyve got the three earrings in their right ear bc they wanna be like shiver and frye. on deep cut, they love splatfests and all the music n fun stuff that comes with it. theyre weirdly not too competitive when it comes to defending their team, BUT they will go extra feral during splatfest turf wars and go complete beast mode. they still dont have a main weapon? favours brushes but thats pippins thing so they should probably pick something else GDKGS
oh they have the worst adhd brain. if they see something cool happening in the bg of a stage they will just straight up stop in their tracks and watch for a while, completely oblivious to whatever is happening in the match. and of course the moment they hear the tacticooler they will run for it even if theyre literally in the opposite end of the stage.... stupid. favourite stage is yet to be decided, gotta let the game marinate for a while longer
as the new agent 3 lori is pretty good at following orders, they just kinda... die in the dumbest possible ways. trying to jump through walls, walking straight off ledges, accidentally attracting attention to themself by throwing lil buddy right next to them. but theyre pretty good at fighting! also they like annoying the captain, because of course (this doesnt bode well for kiwi)
id like to build more on their character eventually but that requires me playing more splat3 and ive been rly unmotivated to do so >:/ ive barely played any salmon run and still havent touched table turf. augh. lori u will grow as a person i promise
now PIPPIN! (she/they) theyre my kid from octo expansion! shes very silly but surprisingly strong and skilled. never asked for help from OTH and went through every single test multiple times to get every weapon ticked (hell). also enjoys fighting inner agent 3 because ??? clearly a lot more competent than theyre letting on.
so once pip came to the surface they were very much like "id rather NOT do the whole fighting thing again" and jumped into turf wars with the intention of just having fun and messing with people. her gear set is 100% QSJ cuz she likes annoying the enemy team and then jumping away like a coward when theyre cornered (it jumpscares people bc they dont expect an octo to jump THAT fast).
she uses brush so that they can draw love hearts in enemy base :] they think its very cute and gets sad when ppl ink over it. also if an enemy tries to initiate a party they will always join bc make love not war etc. always goes for the highest inkage (highest score excluding win points was over 2000) favourite stage is inkblot art academy!
zero sense of fashion btw they either wear the QSJ gear or whatever they think will make her look hot (big fan of the octoling armour and marinas crop top). sometimes changes gender to Boy bc why the hell not, gender is arbitrary.
when grouped up with the others, they like teaming up with pigeon to cause chaos and havoc. shes very excited to see lori joining the team cuz theyre equally as insane as the other two! kiwi is the only one carrying a braincell here rip
PIGEON time!! (also she/they) technically my first oc because splatoon 2 was my first game! so she definitely has the most going for them. foil flingza main (my beloved), absolutely a frontliner and goes for the kill as much as possible. very good at sneak attacks! main gear is almost entirely special charge up (sorry. im the og missile spammer) except for ninja squid which they use to scare the shit outta ppl.
pigeon adores the birds u see hanging out on various stages, especially the pigeons (naturally). favourite stage is moray towers! i never said we had good taste. moray is excellent for roller users and allows for fast clean base inking >:]
like the others they love a good squid party but isnt always in the mood, HOWEVER she will never splat an innocent partier bc thats a dick move. if theyre not a threat, theres no need to splat.
outside of turf, pigeon is actually not a very violent person. very sweet to their friends and oh so very lesbian. she sees a pretty girl in the square and goes 😳 (btw this DOES work in battle, be a cute girl and they will be distracted). fucking absolutely obsessed with squid beatz like you have no idea, aims to get gold on every hard mode song. favourite songs to play are frantic aspic, shark bytes, and entropical. she and pippin love playing games like this together, i bet theyd be great dance duo.
in hero mode, pigeon is naturally a completionist and obtained every weapon. fucking loves harassing marie and annoying her as much as possible. adores callie so much <3 their best speedrun time is 40 sec on octo samurai (sadly cant reach the world record of 39)
unlike pippin they actually have a pretty good fashion sense, always coordinating their outfits and ink colour to match. a very stylish squid!
now kiwi is an interesting one. i first played splatoon 1 in beginning of 2018, so sadly i missed out on the splatfests. still got plenty of turf in and played hero mode repeatedly bc i have brainrot!
so kiwi (again. she/they) is really into amiibo challenges, especially the kraken challenge. being a kraken for that long makes em feel powerful, and its lotsa fun. they actually spend far more time on hero missions than anything else, they enjoy turf on the occasion but find it weirdly intimidating (favourite stage is flounder heights!). she feels most at home in the valley, with craig and the squid sisters. theyre far too sympathetic toward octolings (unlike pigeon who just goes fucking ham) and tries her best to just avoid fighting them entirely. because of this, shes pretty good at stealth missions, especially since she rarely makes much noise anyway. theyre definitely the most low-key out of the four agents.
SO!! why do i name them all after birds? because.... i like birds :D yes im a wannabe ornithologist and birds are my main special interest. i also mainly name them after aus/nz birds cuz im just Like That. we have cool birds in australia, and lorikeet was just far too fitting to pass up. (btw pippin is short for peregrine falcon)
despite being so skilled in hero mode missions they do actually get hurt a lot and almost always has some kind of bandaid or gauze on her body from various injuries. is it a lack of skill, or just recklessness? hmmm (its definitely just because she doesnt take enough care of their body lol).
if kiwi were to be captain in splatoon 3, theyd definitely be just constantly scruffing new 3 by the collar to stop them from doing something stupid. is very afraid of a new idiot joining the gang, as if pip n pidge werent bad enough. all 4 as a splatfest team would definitely be the most chaotic thing possible.
also theyre this way because when i draw squirds (tagged on my blog as "wings au") i think its fun to see how different they all look! kiwi would certainly be more fitting as a bird of prey but i think they look so silly with the stubby wings so im not changing my mind. this does mean shes real fast at running! pip and lori are the fastest flyers, pigeon is just kinda in between rip
final note, theyre all at LEAST 18 just so that its not weird. they all use she/they except lori, whos exclusively they/them. they all fucking hate ranked but love hero missions. also all of them have 1 braincell bouncing between them (mainly held by kiwi)

-one day my friend and I saw some soccer bro being a dick to someone else and I got so mad I was ready to march over and shove my hand so far up there I'd be walking around with a DIY hand puppet istg. Thoughts on Arcudi and Byrne's Doom Patrol runs
combining both cuz i think i can summarize my thoughts on each run pretty succinctly
arcudis run sucked, no ifs ands or buts. mainly cuz the cast was absolutely awful and grating. 70% of the dialogue is them just arguing with each other, 30% of which is ted being a cocky selfish asshole with no growth. the funny part is we learn nothing about them too, not one origin story among the 4 of them, which is especially funny in the case of ava cuz her whole thing is set up to be this big mystery box we just.... never open. the art sucked all the way through too. oh and the whole thing was a massive slap in the face to Pollack's whole run which i enjoyed infinitely more.
also, while the doom patrol usually is dysfunctional and argues a lot, the whole cast of this team is aged down to a young adult age so all the conflicts felt incredibly juvenile and grating to read, all packed with even a shitty little crush arc that goes nowhere.
now for byrne's run, i was actually pleasantly surprised for most of it! it was a full reboot which i wasnt expecting at all and wonder who itll tie in with the giffen run, cuz i remember reading the blackest night issues from that run (with absolutely no DP context) and they reference previous runs pretty explicitly.
anyway to what i liked, it felt a lot like the original pre crisis series in terms of a lotta tone and adventures, including a lotta classic scifi adventures, and the main team having really similar personalities to their original incarnations. especially rita! and she was my favorite part of the book for a good while, byrne was righting her so good until the last quarter or so of the book.
in the last quarter its revealed rita had a crush on cliff as a racecar driver ever since he was a kid and her accident is what drove her to work with niles in the first place. its just a step down for her character overall imo to have her whole motivation be a romance. we dont even get an explanation for how she has powers now like we do for literally every other member of the team, including the fucking chief. but personality wise up until the crush reveal? i think it was spot on rita and i enjoyed it
the whole run overall isnt like. amazing or anything, its very standard hero faire, nudge is alright but i know she dies IMMEDIATELY at the start of the next volume which makes her resolution in this one very funny to me. vee was fun enough but i doubt ill ever see him again. a nicer chief is a refreshing take but yeah i see why they usually opt for the more sinister version
anyway ill probably start giffens run tonight and im excited for the show premiere tomorrow d:

We see Dan it's kind of panicking and saying they're all poor people and we're making fun of you and they're mad at him for it keeps saying don't cause a riot and all sudden you shut up and he's saying that was pretty stupid and what he's saying is I don't care about you and you're nothing and s*** like that so we're sitting there listening to him and he's mumbling stuff to them getting them mad he's trying to talking about it and he's trying to make you mad and then all sudden he says are you both mad it says no I'm angry and I'm assigning people stuff probably in your vicinity to do stuff to you to make sure that you don't do stuff to go anywhere near the White House ever again so he heard that and he starts yelping and screeching and screaming then he says my own son is going to go after the president when he's sitting in the chair and he's not even president and something inside him broke and he said we're going to be f****** around and getting hurt then he started saying I don't have any time for this and he wants to leave he's looking around and it's not a ton of him there so where'd they go said bja came up and ate them up I also need to get mad and he said he ate them up yeah he ate them up so you'd come up here over there and then all sudden he got mad and said wow that's bad yeah it's pretty bad and it's true too I guess you don't care if you get eaten. Start saying no you don't talk to me that way. So these people all the time they have to sometimes they get hungry and they're looking in with their teeth and it's going that's nice maybe they'll invite you to dinner so he starts screwing around with them saying your host is bothering me and then he says this I don't think she can see that and she's getting pissed off she's yelling at Dan as a cop it's going to turn into a scene. Right now is about 5,000 cops going down that street and see Dan turning white and he's getting mad it says you know Garth goes by the bus then for some reason you gets shot in the head. He's almost screaming at the lady get the f*** out of here and he's not saying that he's saying get out and things like that said what are you trying to get fired in or Dave Dan Dave Dan so he's going I don't really need this yeah you do and really you're you're on top you're playing pinochle no we don't play pinochle or any other game let's have you shut up and get out of my face or you're going to die and you will tonight I think you're going to get home after this without a scratch you're a freaking nuts so they're all in a panic most of them in there going to have a big fight yes and he's going to be arrested in rain and read the charges linger plea then he'll enter a plea

super long post of me complaining abt totk irt to my totk playthru bc I <3 Complaining ❤️❤️
maybe its cuz i played like a fuckton during the first week (tho i only have 65 hours total so idk how that compares to the average playerbase) or maybe its cuz ive been playing in an unconventional way, but totk is starting to feel boring to me... (or maybe the game design just sucks..?)
i play unconventionally in that i have disregarded the plot.. bc in botw it was so boring to me. and i watched all the totk cutscenes online anyways and it was as i suspected, i wouldve been disappointed and annoyed if i wasted time collecting all those memories just to get some half-baked story.
im on the fence for doing dungeons tho.. i see my sister doing one, and it does actually look kinda fun, but i worry how satisfying it will actually be, and if i finish the dungeon's boss, will this game's final boss(es) be too easy? (thats what happened in botw.. but maybe ill just do the dungeon and skip the boss? if i can do that?)
i did do the beginning of the gerudo main questline, and it was rly.. boring.... fighting the gibdos was rly boring.. i guess figuring out that mirror puzzle with little help was fun. but it was overall pretty (._.) have yet to enter the dungeon. again idk if i want to
but also another thing is that like its rly rly Really hard for me to gaf abt any npcs in this game LOL.. they just like. say a whole bunch of nothings..... bc like in older games, dialogue helps w worldbuilding since theyre so technologically limited. but in a game like this, you see the world that you get. theres not much that their dialogue adds on, and its only sometimes funny anyways. and i always find myself mashing thru it anyways, bc i just.. dont care.. and also, even if they are saying something supplemental to the world, a useful tip or whatever, its 1.) a teeny tiny tip that i probably could or wouldve learned online or 2.) a mini questline with the most eh reward ever.
i guess cuz in older games you Had to talk to people to figure out what to do next. theres no 'what to do next' in this game so i just.. yeah. im just often unmotivated to know what theyve got to say. of course theyve helped me here and there but its like.. in most games i play, i try to talk to as many npcs i can. but i never feel the need to do this in totk, from either how uninteresting they are, or bc the info they tell me tends to be something i already know.
and my apathy of npcs unfortunately extend to the main quest as well (gorons rito etc), and although i say i wish this game gave me more reasons to talk to npcs, i still end up disliking how totk/botw goes around w it in their main quests; cuz now theres like, a break in the gameplay, where i Must speak to NPCs to advance the 'plot'. my gameplay of exploration, engaging in combat whenever i please, and so on, has to be paused to do this quest. and arguably these quests do provide me the opportunity to explore and whatnot, but its no longer done by Myyyy pace. i have to follow whatever pace and order the game has set for me to do. which Sucks. it really sucks to have a game which im enjoying bc of the freedom, to restrict my freedom like that.
(and this is also why i disliked shrines in the first game.... my regular gameplay gets broken up in order for me to enter shrines (which all look the absolute same as every other one btw, so theres no motivator of 'ohhh i wonder what this shrine looks like?'). and i have to solve the shrine in whatever way its making me to. and obvs some shrines have multiple solutions but more often than not it tends to be limiting.... anyways this is why i deeply prefer shrine quests in the overworld over basic shrines. i much prefer solving puzzles as im exploring as opposed to having to essentially pause my gameplay just to earn hearts and stamina.
in terms of exploration + combat (bc the two go hand in hand).. after getting all the towers, i feel that theres little left for me to do. now that i have a decent amount of hearts and stamina (8 hearts + 1.75 stamina wheels), theres nothing tht really motivates me to do more shrines. the shrines in this game are a lot better than botw's (most of the time), but once ive lost the desire to do shrines as well its a bit.. (._.)
and ive explored most of the west side of the depths, i think roughly 30% overall, but that has gotten a bit boring as well. which is a shame, bc i think its a lot of fun to explore in pitch-black terrain. but as ive said before, it visually stays the same throughout the entire terrain which ends up making it feel very monotonous. same ol grey and purples forever and ever... i wish there was a variety of biomes and landscapes or something (itd be nice if the east looks drastically different but i sincerely doubt it). so far its just grey stretches of land and monster mine camps and maybe the occasional flux construct boss like :/
and combat... ergh... EH.... well just like botw its a blast in the beginning when everything is still hard. but like... all my weapons are pushing 40 atk power now. im like. Ripped. the monsters.. do not reflect this. like firstly u still get those annoying one hit monsters like chuchus, keese, and bokoblins. which is whatever i guess.. annoying but theyre there to spice it up. so whateves. but its when the monster camps still have red monsters like.. what?! even having blue monsters is pushing it honestly. the red ones dies in one hit, and the blues dies in 2-3 hits. black ones are starting to catch up in this regard, but are still a challenge. but there just isnt enough silver ones which ideally should be spawning at this point...
its come to a point where i just end up ignoring most monster camps, bc the reward drops just aren't very good either. like i do not explore in a conventional order, so im already stacked with royal gear. i do not need traveller sword #5. and the game has not adapted with that. i wish it did, bc man the game is getting boring 😮💨
there is more to say. maybe ill be more coherent after i get off my bed LOL. but yeah totk still has the same issues as totk which is... erm. not great

artem wing: can haggle but doesnt
artem knows how to haggle. hes seen his mother do it as he grew up and then he saw neil do it later on in his life and artem is a fast enough learner to understand how to do it himself.
however, when he was a child, his mother started giving him an allowance so he could learn how to manage finances. one day, he saw a snack he really wanted to buy with his own money but then it was Way Too Expensive. and so in the way all children do, hes like "why's it cost so much!" to which mrs. wing replies with "because of The Economy, baby."
and so artem decides to learn about The Economy and ends up with a pretty solid understanding of supply and demand, market trends, and other factors that go into the final price. he learns this all at AGE 10 and he decides that as long as all of these processes are done justly, the price is nothing to complain about ever.
and so he just doesnt haggle!!! but also, hes not somebody people wanna scam because fully grown artem wing at the supermarket exudes SUCH an intense and focused aura that stepping into that range surely deals immense psychic damage to anybody who has ill intent

luke doesnt have to haggle. hes working so many fucking jobs (for fun?? for the benefit of satisfying his horrid urge to be a benefit for only other people???) and he does those jobs really damn well, so im sure hes got money!! but his personality just strikes me more as "if i can get it a lower price, i will, because it's a waste if you dont take that opportunity."
hes a pretty chill haggler tho. he'll smile and laugh and tease with the shop owner on how "i'll buy 3 more packs of these noodles if you bring the whole price down a bit, so technically, youre making more profit, yeah?" and honestly, his haggling works mostly because hes so earnest and charming and even if you do turn him down, he kinda just shrugs and goes "fair enough!" and buys what he was planning to buy anyway.
luke is unscammable tho. not bc of his vibes, mind you, cuz luke pearce's vibes (NOT agent raven's vibes, to be clear, thats a whole other animal) are vibes of a puppy that will apologize to YOU if you spill milk on his lap. hes got very kind vibes and that seems like a scammer's dream come true but nobody in stellis has the heart to scam him bc luke is often seen rummaging around trash cans or metal dumpsters
he is not dumpster diving for food. hes just curious if anybody threw out some cool appliances he can nab spare parts from or make into new gadgets. but stellis city doesnt know that. all they know is that the puppy boy who owns time's antiquities frequently sticks his head in the rubbish and theyre all collectively like "NOBODY SCAM HIM EVER, WE NEED TO PROTECT HIM"

which usually isnt a problem. marius isnt the one doing most of the purchasing, thats left to the house staff or vincent, buuuuut when hes hanging out with mc, just the two of them, hes atlas carrying the world on his shoulders in regards to purchases.
theres a 50/50 percent chance mc will save him when hes having trouble figuring out how much to pay. she mostly saves him when hes about to do something wayy too stupid (like trade his horrendously expensive watch for an ice cream cone, HE ALMOST DID THIS IN CANON in Marius SSR Fabulous Feast) but anything less than that and hes on his own
which tbh, marius doesnt mind. it seems to make her happy seeing him fumble and be out of his element and also this is never gonna affect his funds. so if hes getting overcharged, it's never a problem
this does however mean that marius von hagen, when hanging out with a certain lawyer, is PRIME SCAM MATERIAL.

[spoilers] vyn is of a royal lineage. hes the son of a duke. im damn sure that for all of his early life when he was still living in svart, he never had to purchase a gosh dang thing because all of it was done by house staff.
however, once vyn leaves svart and goes to stellis, he does have to learn quickly, so now hes not COMPLETELY naive. still, i cant imagine vyn richter walking around in like, a wet market or a bodega/cornerstore. i think vyn gets all of his food purchases from very upscale farmer's markets and all his other purchases in similarly hoity toity establishments.
so he can buy things. but his reference for how much things cost is HORRIBLY SKEWED by his luxurious upscale tastes. bring him to a garage sale and he will not know the general price of anything. he cant haggle
yet he does anyway, so he can be IMPRESSIVE. which he wants to be so much to the point that self awareness briefly exits his brain.
he haggles only around mc so he can be impressive cool. and he succeeds at looking impressive cool!!! in contrast to luke who is the chillest haggler ever, vyn channels such unsettling haggling energy that sellers can do nothing but agree to his terms.
but his terms.
are bad.
because since he doesnt know what normal shit costs, he actually ends up haggling the price WAY FUCKING HIGHER THAN IT ORIGINALLY WAS

Okay hear me out, what if the only mental illness Nagito has is extreme paranoia or Nagito is just really paranoid about death?

But to be sure, I basically explain how and why Nagito has almost none of the symptoms of Frontotemporal Dementia, he might still have it tho, just not the symptoms
But think about this, the only time Nagito has actually acted "crazy" was when the killing game starts. Before that, all we get is a paranoid, self-deprecating boy used to trauma due to his abusive luck cycle. A boy who also has flawed beliefs in the talented and untalented due to the society of Danganronpa. A boy who fears murder and the death of others more than most.
Now, remember, he only gets crazy (I AM ONLY GONNA TALK ABOUT SDR2 BECAUSE THE LATER ITERATIONS AND GAMES AND ANIME ADAPTATIONS THAT PORTRAY NAGITO PORTRAY HIM INCREDIBLY WRONG) when the killing game starts

So, Nagito isn't worshipping Hope like it's a god, he is clinging to an ideology. He is clinging to positivity, a bright light amidst all the darkness
He is quite literally clinging to hope in a despairful situation, which a lot of people do and most likely the same with you and me.

And again, no, his views on hope aren't due to his own personal opinion of what hope is. The hope he believes in is the literal definition of hope.

He truly does have heroic and good intentions and truly does understand the hopes and despairs of others
He knew Teruteru wanted to continue the culinary legacy and help his mom, that's his hope
He knew Imposter would want to protect everyone no matter what, that's his hope
He knew Mikan killed for Despair, that despair being Junko Enoshima
He knew Fuyuhiko's hope is Peko and that both of them care about each other very much
He knew how similar he and Hajime are and how they are both bystanders and lovers of Hope, for Hajime that Hope being Hope's Peak academy itself and/or having talent

That's why he wants to help everyone's hope. He doesn't want them to escape to "spread their hope to the world," he wants to help them because that is generally everyone's hope in the killing game, to escape and end the killing game. That's why he is also fine with helping the blackened because if he knows all the blackened wants to do is escape
All Nagito wants is for him to be the victim instead of anyone else so no one else has to die if someone must commit murder.
And tbh Nagito has only done 2 things,
One was when he orchestrated his own death so no one else dies during the first trial, but this fails due to his luck cycle
He knew someone would die eventually, and if he didn't do this then either Teruteru would've still murdered someone else or Fuyuhiko would've murdered Mahiru with Peko like in trial 2 due to the next motive
Someone would've died regardless, Nagito just wanted to be the victim to save everyone else. And he needed to make sure only HE BECOMES THE VICTIM which is why he orchestrated it

Second thing Nagito did was try to get everyone killed when he found out everyone were a bunch of terrorists and remnants of despairs. Do I seriously need to explain why anyone would've done this? Especially someone as paranoid as Nagito?
Hell, Hajime almost did way worse because he almost did the complete opposite, he almost pressed graduate so Junko can take over the dead bodies of their classmates and spread despair AGAIN
HOW THE HELL IS NAGITO WORSE THAN THE OTHERS?
HAJIME ALMOST CAUSED DESPAIR ONTO THE ENTIRE WORLD AGAIN AND EVERY OTHER MURDERER MURDERED FOR THEIR OWN SELFISH MOTIVES LIKE TO ESCAPE OR GET REVENGE
NAGITO SERIOUSLY JUST WANTED TO BE THE VICTIM SO NO ONE ELSE DIES AND WANTS TO ELIMINATE DESPAIR

So now I explained how Nagito's paranoia of murder caused him to have a desperate belief in Hope as a coping mechanism in a very despairful situation
Now let's see how extreme his way of coping became. Seeing that he is in his actual personal hell, I would expect it to be pretty extreme.
And it is, a lot of the time.
Even to the point that he uses it to explain the deaths of his classmates and how to cope
Knowing Nagito, he has a habit of trying to find a reason for everything, like a prophecy or reason for his despair like I said before
And how exactly does he do that with the dead bodies of his classmates? He goes and treats them like stepping stones for hope
Basically saying, "Yes, our classmates are dead. But we shouldn't give up, because these deaths, this despair, it's all a stepping stone for an upcoming hope. A future good ending waiting to come, RIGHT?"
I added the right at the end because throughout the game, Nagito doesn't really seem like he only believes in hope. It's almost like he desperately needs and clings to hope.
So no matter what, he has to believe in hope
Because then, what is there left of him to believe in
He is trapped in his personal hell, forced to see classmates getting killed left and right, already experiences and fears the possibility of death and trauma on his normal day to day life, and what's worse is he constantly blames himself due to his luck cycle
He clings to hope, the possibility of a good ending happening in the end
Because what else can he believe in, what else can he live for at this point?

All you need to do is remember that all of them are in a killing game
So of course people will go crazy
And knowing Nagito and how paranoid he gets, no wonder he reacts way worse

Nagito isn't crazy, he isn't a lunatic. He is just a paranoid kid who hates and fears murder and despair more than anyone else but is constantly forced to witness it and be subjected to it due to his luck cycle
And to be honest, anyone would've reacted the same way he does, and Hajime is proof of that
