THAT’S SO COOL????? I’m not into video games but GOD they reincarnate and are in love every time??? princess and knight??? also I’ve been wanting to say this for ages but link is sooooo gender. you get it
so. they are in love in the sense that nintendo is queerbaiting me. queerbaiting me with a "straight" couple (they are lesbians). they are not canon they kissed only in the second ever zelda game when there was only the barest story and they were nothing more than pixel sprites and they have not been canon since. and because every game is technically a different link and a different zelda, each individual game varies on how shippable they actually are? like, I'm not very far through twilight princess yet but I've heard they're pretty much just coworkers in that one. the three latest mainline games though, they're like. they're pretty much canon in all but name like you could say it's platonic but like at that point you are running on loads of denial. the three latest mainline games are skyward sword, which is the first link and zelda, the start of the cycle. the plot ENTIRELY revolves around how much link loves zelda. cause they're best friends, hyrule as a kingdom doesn't even exist yet (they live on an island in the sky) she falls to earth and is running around having to discover that she's a reincarnated goddess (that's a whole angst factor btw bc the goddess (hylia) had to fight demise and she won but knew it was temporary and knew demise would have to be defeated again, and that he would need to be defeated with the power of the triforce, which can only be wielded by humans, so she decided basically that she'd need a loyal human knight, and so she reincarnated into a human girl because a girl is loved in the way a goddess isn't and she knew someone would love a human girl enough to save her WHICH HAPPENS so basically zelda gets to have an identity crisis was she just dragging link towards this destiny the whole time? did she truly love him? did he truly love her? are they puppets in this grand plan? "I'm still your zelda" she says to him, but is she??? drives me nuts) and he, ever loyal, keeps running after her to save her again and again and again (link is so dog coded there's a great botw fic about this), and then they defeat demise and he curses them and link is just some guy who went through ALL THIS SHIT cause he LOVED zelda. what if you were in love with your best friend and it cursed you and your descendants for the rest of time this is so francesca by hozier I'd tell them put me back in it I'd go through it again if i could hold you for a minute. and then the next two mainline games are breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom and breath of the wild involves an amnesia plot so you basically watch link fall in love with zelda a second time and then in tears of the kingdom they are. common law married. they share a house. there's only one bed. do NOT get me FUCKING STARTED on the hateno house. and nintendo still plays FUCKING COY zelda's english va has to be like "they... have a really close bond...." this is how I know they're queer you wouldn't do this with straight people. and then people also ship ocarina of time (most popular and well known game of the series most praised for its story) zelink a lot but that's an older game I haven't played yet so I can't speak on them. zelda is so transmasc in that one though this I know. I talk about link being genderqueer a fair amount and everyone on this internet knows link is trans but trust. zelink is t4t
#also I love that you said “princess and knight” like it's another awesome factor about them cause yes so true#but so many people are like “UGH the princess and knight trope🙄” LIKE YOU DON'T GET IT!!! IT'S ABOUT DEVOTION!!!#tbf the zelda plot is always that you have to save zelda and nintendo won't break out of this winning formula#so I suppose for a lot of people it just feels sexist and tired and whatnot#but I've played only the latest games so I'm able to look past it cause zelda manages to still be a really good character from the sideline#also. they're literally in love. um. why do you hate true love and soulmates#anyway TECHNICALLY they're not in love every time. cause. as I said. twilight princess#(also there's some zelda games that don't follow the standard plot (such as link's awakening which I've played its SO GOOD btw)#so there isn't. a zelda and ganon. so obviously no zelink there)#but whether or not they're actually romantically involved I do think it's critical that they are SO SO SO SO IMPORTANT to each other#in which case if they are genuinely just coworkers in twilight princess I do think that's a failing of twilight princess#ask#witch-of-aiaia#hi aiaia!#also. fun detail here. link is a silent protag and they tend to make him a bit of a blank slate in the games#so when I say zelink is in love I am simultaneously working with the bare ass minimum in regards to link#and yet also so so so much cause of the everything he does for her#zelda being a reincarnated goddess/from the line of a reincarnated goddess is so crazy insane to me btw#she's links patron goddess he's her ever loyal servant they're UGHHHHHH#I could talk forever about them. evidently. they're so important to me. only couple I've written fic for

I Just Listened to the First Episode of Braving the Elements and I Know I'm Late to the Party but I Have Very Incoherent, Babbling Thoughts About It
Tumblr media
(now that I heard Janet and Dante talking I needed to draw young Zuko and Korra. I think they'd be friends. Like, they'd get into fights [with Sokka, too] about who's muscles are more impressive and dumb jock stuff like that. Their respective girlfriends would be so tired.)
Anyway, I think the UGGs ad was a great way to start this out. Really set the tone. I'm also vibing to the theme music cuz I literally haven't listened to it since I rewatched the finale a couple of weeks ago.
[I had no idea Dante Basco was in a dance group as a child I'm laughing for no reason now. I shouldn't judge though I was a drama kid too lol]
I feel like they're doing the whole "the LIGHTS, the CAMERA, the CINEMATOGRAPHY" thing while they're talking about the opening scene. you know what, i'm fine with it.
Basically them:
"Kataang."
"...And I digress,"
The animal crossing segment is cute Appa finally getting the appreciation he deserves
"thINgS HapPEn SoMEtiMeS" has the same energy as Zuko telling Suki "oh, sorry about that" when she reminded him he burned down her village
"I love GranGran" do you Zuko? DO you??
Tumblr media
(jk they get along after the war when he apologizes properly)
Aww they brought up Greta Thomburg. I forgot how old this podcast is, but that was a really great message about how the young are the ones saving us and stuff. As a Zoomer [do people still say that?] I can say confidently most of us have no idea what we're doing but we're opinionated and we're here and we're ready to fight for the environment and social justice and shit
HE SWORE
HE SWORE TWICE
HE SWORE THREE TIMES IN LESS THAN TWO MINUTES
Idk about ya'll but I don't think Nick should be letting Mr. Basco represent them I mean that was like three whole "damn"s that is some inappropriate behavior right there
"they're people of privilege" This hit me so hard for no reason. Like it's really obvious, especially in Book 2, that despite all of the abuse Zuko went through he was still in that whole royalty mindset where he basically expects things to be handed to him for most of his arc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean, yeah, that speaks for itself, and there are other instances too. I think Zuko's arc largely corrects a lot of his entitlement, which is a great thing to see throughout the series, but IROH. For some insane reason, maybe because he's very wise and seems content with the little things in life and is basically trying to oppose books 1 and 2 Zuko in every way possible, I never really thought of him as privileged but now it's so obvious that he is. IDK I think that was an interesting thing to point out. It almost makes me value Iroh more because he obviously had to go through a similar journey to Zuko's unlearning all of the arrogance that came with his position and came out of it on the other side as a kind, wise individual who cares deeply for other people and puts the fate of the world before his own. Still interesting to think about on my next rewatch of B1 though, I'll have to start looking out for those behaviors in Iroh.
ANYWAY
Dante Basco, trying so hard to be impartial: "Kataang!"
Janet Varney, one with Zutara nation, apparently: "Meh"
OMG THEY TALKED ABOUT THE SPYGLASS!! I know that scene with Zuko standing on the boat was supposed to be all suspenseful and scary and everything
Tumblr media
But I just laugh
Tumblr media
I can imagine Aang being like "Aww Zuzu thanks for noticing"
OMG I love Katara finally getting some recognition!! Like there's this meme about the world being saved by "nagging" or whatever and it kind of annoys me. Like, she's calling Sokka out on all of his sexist behavior and that's "nagging"??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let's be honest it's because she gets kind of "emotional".
Tumblr media
Whatever. She deserves to be emotional. Let's be honest the Avatar world was saved by Katara deciding she was done putting up with her brother being a misogynistic ass. [END RANT]
Okay, honestly, I liked it. It was funny, it was cute, I can see it being good, I'll keep listening to it... But, I felt like we were only getting surface level thoughts? There were a few moments where I was like "GODDAMMIT JUST SAY WHAT YOU THINK" which is kind of annoying on a podcast that's supposed to be reviewing the episodes. Like, really? That heavy pause after Dante mentioned Kataang? Janet hesitating to say what she thought when it came up again? C'mon guys, I know you don't want to start anything but the ship wars are not stopping no matter what any of us do at this point because there will always be people on both sides of the war that are toxic and like to start drama. They're not saying everything they want to about the ships and that's a fact. We know it. They know it. Bryke knows it. Also, Dante having not read the series bible was funny but it's only going to be a good joke for so long. Know your shit if you're doing a podcast on it.
I might just be complaining because I need to complain, it's only the first episode, after all, so I want to be clear that I really did like it. 10/10 would recommend, I just hope they maybe get more into the fandom stuff as we go along instead of just looking at the episode. Dig a little deeper, discuss controversial stuff, have a little fun with it, READ THE SERIES BIBLE.
(btw I might make more Korra and young Zuko fanart. It was fun, and now I have ideas for them meeting in some weird spirit world thing)

Why do you think Monty hates Freddy so much?
I feel like there's a few reasons, but canon confirms at least one or two of them in the form of little tidbits of information. I'll go into detail under the cut.
(Still going to advise of Ruin Spoilers, even though it's been a couple weeks. I will eventually stop warning of spoilers though!)
This is something that I've been thinking about for a while, honestly. Now that my views of Monty have changed a bit, so too have my ideas of his motivations.
Since I don't believe Monty hated or shattered Bonnie, that erases a big causation of his rage that we see and hear of in the game. However, since there isn't much proof to say that Monty hated Bonnie, there is a lot of proof to say that Monty hated Freddy.
And he hated Freddy a lot.
My biggest problem was trying to figure out why he hated Freddy so much. Some people who probably attribute this hate to how popular Freddy is and used that to compound the idea that Monty was a vicious and jealous and wanted to get rid of everyone in his way.
However, when it came to Monty craving the spotlight and wanting to get rid of everyone who got in the way of that, why didn't he ever show the same disdain to Chica and Roxy? They were more popular than him too, and wouldn't it be easier to soak up all the fame by just simply getting rid of ALL of them so he was the lone one on the stage? And, if they weren't included in his jealousy, why was it only Freddy? Was Monty sexist, maybe seeing the girls as lesser in general? You would think he'd hate Roxy the most, since she's so narcissistic and stand-offish and would have clashed with Monty the most. Freddy, by all accounts, was a sweetheart. He probably would have done anything Monty said out of blind trust to his friends.
So, why hate him so much?
I think Monty's hatred of Freddy stemmed from something deeper. Monty is portrayed in these theories and scenarios as someone who craves the spotlight, who'd do anything for the spotlight but. . .we know that to be false
Monty's beginnings in Gator Golf implies he was just a humble strummer in his bayou. He wasn't built or programmed to be a star. He wasn't even made for the band, he only took over because Bonnie went missing.
And, a dufflebag notice debunks this as well. In Monty Mischief, you learn of an odd behavior the Gator tends to get up to.
ERRANT BEHAVIOR REPORT - Monty didn't show up for the main stage performance again. We found him in the same place we always do, the catwalks over Monty Golf. We can't have a repeat of last month. Someone hit the hole in one and the hurricane bucket knocked him down. Both legs were broken and required emergency parts and service work.
Now, a couple things to note; the very first word you see is "errant". Now errant has a few definitions, so I'll post a summary of them here from Merriam-Webster
Tumblr media
Errant; to behave wrongly
Monty, according to the technicians, is behaving incorrectly. He's SUPPOSED to be at the main stage, but he just blows it off to muck around in his attraction. Is that the behavior of someone who wants fame all to himself?
To me, I think maybe Monty doesn't care about the stardom anymore. He had his fill after Bonnie disappeared and now that he knows what the fame is actually like behind the scenes, he's tired of it. He wants to go back to his attraction, to have fun and no longer have any of these responsibilities.
Which brings me to the first theory/reason of Monty's hatred for Freddy.
Theory A: Monty is tired of the stardom and misses his simple days, and perhaps blames Freddy for that.
Monty seems to not care about the spotlight anymore. He wanders around his attraction and goes to the catwalks where the kids and games are. He destroys his greenroom and everything around him, like he's throwing a tantrum.
Freddy is so popular he's always doing shows and as such, is always inadvertently forcing Monty to have to be present for the shows (he's the bassist! They're pretty important! If you lose the bass in a band, the songs lose their underlying tune and edge! Respect your bassists!) and Monty was simply resented Freddy for it.
Theory B: Monty hates how popular Freddy is and wants him out of the way.
This is the main theory that I see everyone leaning towards. We get a bunch of evidence for this too, such as one of the endings of the OG SB
Tumblr media
Freddy leaves, Monty takes over as the leader and becomes the new face of Fazbear Entertainment. Probably a happy ending for everyone involved, I'd say. You could even say that his ditching main performances is purely because he doesn't want to be a bassist, he wants to be the star of the show. If he can't hog all of the attention, then what point is there for him to even bother showing up?
Monty's rage could be chalked up to him hating how much everyone loves Freddy, and maybe he wants that all to himself. (Though this theory pokes holes in the Monty-Killed-Bonnie theory, cause why target BONNIE if FREDDY is the leader? Especially since becoming bassist probably wasn't enough for him)
You even see it in Ruin when the ride gets to the final point and you see glammed Monty standing alone before a beheaded Freddy statue
Tumblr media
And finally, the third theory
Theory C: Monty hates Freddy because of his relationship with Bonnie.
If we go by my prior theories of Monty not being the cause of Bonnie's disappearance/death and Monty's admiration for him, then his hate of Freddy becomes way more focalized on one single thing.
Bonnie and Freddy were THE duo. The rabbit and the bear, always together. They had matching earrings, Freddy gave Bonnie a signed poster of how they'd be together forever, Freddy's grief of Bonnie no longer being around; it was obvious they were close.
And what if Monty was jealous of that?
Tumblr media
In this shot, Freddy is blacked out. Completely erased from the band. Chica and Roxy are still lit up, but we don't actually know how Monty felt about them, if he cared for them at all. But Bonnie is there, looking at Monty. Monty is holding a bass/banjo, and his motif eventually adopts the same stars as Bonnie (especially the glasses and bass, which were probably given to Monty directly)
What if Monty wanted to replace FREDDY, and therefore have the fame (and Bonnie's attention) all to himself? Maybe Monty thought that if he took Freddy's place, Bonnie would look at him like he hung the stars. There's no way Monty could have known that that wouldn't ever happen, because the rabbit and the bear is the dynamic duo. If Freddy disappeared, Bonnie would grief and mourn him. And fate was cruel to instead take away Bonnie, leaving Monty with a spot on the band, but not the spot he wanted.
So he wears the shades and plays the bass, but grows tired of it. What point is there to perform if He isn't there to see it? Why help out Freddy, who was his rival in everything, when he could just sabotage shows and goof off? Why please people who look at him like he's just a replacement, like a murderer who got rid of Bonnie just to squander the chance he was given?
By the time Gregory appears, Monty is just a shadow of his former self and what he wanted to be.
Monty hates Freddy, maybe for one of the reasons I mentioned, maybe for none of them, or maybe for a little bit of everything. We'll probably never know, cause the truth of it all died with Monty.

Woke, Art, leftist dirtbag
This is in response to the discussion of Matty Healy on The Adam Friedland Show and about leftist dirtbags.
A few months ago I went on a date with a guy and my first text to my friend once I was home was: he is too woke. My friend and I have an ongoing joke where we talk about people going on TikTok and explaining why we shouldn't study Picasso a man who has been dead for over 40 years. Yet a few days ago I saw Chris Brown was the headliner for a festival. Do you see the issue here? I think a lot of people are talking about the over wokeness and canceled culture and how it does not work. I agree. Canceled culture is dumb and there are still a lot of people doing far worst things than Matty Healy.
What the leftist dirtbag loves to do is make fun of gen-z woke culture. Because they turn around and vote for Bernie Sanders, and that's great. We love Bernie. But voting for more leftist politicians does not give you a free pass to be racist and sexist. I get it, you are making a joke out of woke culture or of “locker room talk”. Here is my question to you: What do you gain from this? What exactly do you gain from spending an hour talking about the most bizarre and random stuff, mocking accents, and objectifying women? If you are so mad about gen-z not taking issues seriously but instead focusing on the language they use, isn't it a bit hypocritical if you sit down and make fun of them instead of helping? Great you voted for Bernie, but you are still going online and making degrading jokes about minorities. I get it, I really do. I don’t think you are racist or sexist, but I also don’t think this is the way to stay woke or to help the ongoing issue in society.
I always believed there is a balanced to everything. You can be woke and you can still focus on the important issue. I personally believe that standing up for women's rights so we don’t get murdered on our way home is far more useful than spending 10 minutes talking about Ice Spice dms. But that's just me. I’ve been online for probably the same amount of time than these guys, so I understand there is a lot on the internet and I grew up into the internet and not on the internet. I have also developed critical thinking to understand when to draw the line when joking and when to be “woke”.
Here is the thing about these jokes: POC and women have spoken up and said this isn’t funny. We do not enjoy this kind of humor. Why aren’t you listening to them? I understand your jokes and satire, but if someone is telling you it's making them uneasy, should you stop? What's the point of satire if it offends people? Why are you telling people to “take a joke” when you are joking about their own culture? We heard enough about this when it's not a joke and outside of art, and we are telling you: we are very tired. We are tired of white men telling us how to feel. We are tired of men telling us “it's a joke”. I know you are joking, I get that. But tomorrow I’ll wake up and a man would catcall me for wearing a skirt. I am tired even when you are joking.
About the whole concept of this being art. I get art, I really do. I adore art and would always try to understand the most bizarre and random art. I don’t judge it for what it is. I like to believe I try different forms and genres of art because I don’t believe in listening to criticism or mouth-to-mouth (I even listened to the podcast I swear). They are saying art is supposed to challenge us and this is for you to think and to step outside. I love that concept of art. I really enjoy watching something new and experiencing new music (like The 1975!!). But I don’t understand what is so challenging for white men to sit for an hour to talk about other races and women. Isn’t that what we see every day? Is that literally what politics is like? Men telling women what to do with their bodies? I think it is more challenging when men stand up for women because we don’t see that every day. I think it's braver when we talk about the killing of POC and transgender people. Why isn’t art about that? I think that's a challenge because the status quo is men speaking for women. Are white people telling other groups how to feel or who to be? I think the challenge in the art should be to those in power. Let's make fun of those who are in power and who marginalized others. I believed Matty Healy did an amazing job portraying this in Consumption on his last tour and I loved that. He was a white man, calling out men. I am tired as a Latina woman to see men talk about us but not about themselves. There is more value in a man telling another man they are wrong. Two of my favorite writers are Isabel Allende (Chilean) and Gabriel García Marquez (Colombian) they both write about the issues in Latin America. They both explain what is wrong in our culture. That's more valuable and challenging than men talking about other races and genders.
I’m closing this by saying I had and maybe still do a great admiration for Matty Healy as an artist. I think he is brilliant: his music is amazing, he is a great songwriter, the shows are all created by him, an amazing frontman (i saw them live back in 2019), and has an amazing meme curation. But i don’t get why he blur the line into I don’t want people to see me as too woke. I think it might be a “trauma” response to being canceled so much. I get it. But I don’t think that's where we need to direct the conversation.

I agree with you that the "making the girl who is rival to the mlm couple a lesbian" is a lot better than turning her into a sexist caricature but tbh it will always be somewhat funny to me that??? They sometimes don't even need to?? Like, when they have her in a wlw relationship on top of just being a lesbian. At that point, just have her be bisexual and in a relationship with a woman after her relationship with whatever guy you're pushing her away from didn't work. I'm like, not mad about it in any case, just somewhat baffled when they usually put the lesbian in a wlw relationship *anyways* (vs like having the lesbian be single but not a threat because she's gay). I do think "lesbian with comphet" is a valid headcanon though, so I'm definitely not *mad* lol. It just kind of feels like some of these fanfics believe that the wlw has to be specifically a *lesbian*, which sometimes makes me feel like they only have this attitude because of the stereotype of bisexuals being poly/a threat (as in a threat to the mlm couple they're pushing) even when they are in a committed, monogamous relationship. (To clarify nothing wrong with poly bisexuals, just that there's a stereotype about them!)
Though honestly, I don't think anything will ever top the time I read a fanfic where the author made a canon bisexual *straight* because she had to reject a girl and she couldn't have... I don't know... rejected her on the basis that she just wasn't interested in this *specific* girl, or on the basis that she was already/more interesting in the man of the m/f couple the fic had tagged for her? Bizarre behavior. Sometimes it just feels like it's rooted in biphobia is all, I suppose, which does somewhat annoy me. But yeah, it's still better than the raging misogyny you used to get (and still do sometimes! Some people hate Chiaki and Kaede because they get in the way of komahina and saiouma! It can get really annoying when I'm reading a fic with those ships and it piviots into hating on Kaede and Chiaki, like leave my girls alone!!!).
Hopefully this made sense and didn't come across as rude or anything!
YEAH tbh i think the idea of ~one true love~ is a real disservice in fanfic because it means that instead of "yeah these two dated once but broke up, and they're both bisexual" the author feels obligated to be like no they CANT have been in a relationhip because all relationships before the main pairing must PALE IN COMPARISON. there can be no previous romantic relationships which had a strong effect on them as a person. because that wasnt ~true love~!
and so a lot of times you get this sort of incidental biphobia where its not so much that these characters Have To Be Gay/Straight, but that they Have To Have Only Ever For Real Been Interested In This One Person, which necessitates only being attracted to the one person. which, uh...sucks. this was something that got talked about a lot in the early spn days, actually, with people reducing the presence of what few women spn had and making dean gay. that luckily faded out over time, but it's still (imo) a really common thing to see in the m/m parts of fic In Addition To the "how to get the woman out of the equation" aspect.
and its also about the reduction of platonic relationships!! because surely if they arent both gay a strong relationship between a boy and a girl must be Romance TM. its the old classic Boys And Girls Cant Be Just Friends tired trope but through the lens of Progressivism TM.
anyway tldr youre absolutely right, sometimes the girls are bi!! sometimes the girls dating one of the guys is comphet but sometimes it isnt!! and despite many issues its still leagues better than a decade ago

I am a huge Taylor Swift fan but holy shit, the way people ride for her is so scary.
The new Time interview just left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m sick of hearing about Kanye and Kim, tired of hearing about Scooter, sick of her using buzz words to give off the impression that’s she’s an activist (and I don’t necessarily think she’s doing that intentionally, but it’s very clear that she only talks about issues that impact her when it’s convenient). So much of it feels fabricated.
And idk I’m not a maylor, but what happened in may really dampened the love I have for her. I get that her and Matty were never a “couple couple” but it still makes me sad that he was basically thrown to the wolves, meanwhile she has no problem gushing about Travis Kelce. I still maintain that her and Matty never would’ve made it as a couple purely because she’s terrified of criticism.
Agreedddd with like every single thing you said here. And I don’t say that to diminish her success or anything. And, as I said to another anon a bit ago, I will always stand up for her when mainstream media (or fuckin MEN) say sexist shit about her to suggest she’s not as great of an artist as people think or whatever. That drives me crazy. Like just say you don’t like women ffs. BUT all that still doesn’t take away from her selling of an image and her deliberately tiptoeing around issues or presenting herself a certain way.
And, yes, tbh, I try not to think about it a whole lot because I know in a certain sense, it’s not my business and all. But seeing what happened with Matty vs how she is now with Kelce, and how swifties talk about this being the only time she’s ever had a supportive partner makes me really sad for Matty. But hey, she’s happy. He’s happy. It all worked out I suppose. Matty’s reputation will never be the same, but she’s never gonna care so it is what it is.

Itching for a strong female character who isn’t traditionally masculine the way a lot of writers shoot for when making their “strong” female characters, only to instead come off sexist? How about a story with an arranged marriage premise?
If you’ve answered yes, check out Raise wa Tanin ga Ii:
MangaDex
❗This manga features yakuza, so there’ll be violence and (mostly off-screen) torture. It’s not super graphic, but it’s there, and you will see it. You’ll also see what is technically child abuse and the typical kind of violence that comes with... not slapstick comedy, but when you slap someone upside the head (is that slapstick comedy?). That kind of casual violence. There are also talks of selling organs, prostitution, and drugs and a couple of chapters featuring the protagonist Yoshino’s cousin who is apparently in love with their grandfather, which I suppose is technically incest, but nothing comes of it.❗
Yoshino is weak. She’s at most average in terms of physical strength and fighting capability, but compared to the men in her life, she’s very definitely weak. However, her mental strength is off the charts. As psychopathic and violently capable as her fiancé is, she’s gotten him head over heels for her, and much as she’s wary of him and admits to being scared, she’s also fearless and, I feel, matches up to him pretty well. She’s a yakuza’s granddaughter, and it shows.
More importantly, her mental strength isn’t her only trait. She’s decently fleshed out, which many authors fail at and so fail at the whole “strong female character” bit. She’s a little slow, a little silly, feminine, loves food, and having grown up in a yakuza household, she’s not faint-hearted at the thought of blood or violence. She may not want to deal with it (but more in a “it’s bothersome”/“I don’t want to deal with it” kind of way, I feel like, rather than an excuse), but she’s not necessarily adverse to it.
In general, I like her relationships the people in her lives. There’s Shouma, her childhood friend who’s lived with her since she was younger (I don’t think they’re foster siblings, I don’t remember their relationship ever being defined like that, only that her grandfather took custody/guardianship over him). Shouma gives off definite aspec vibes, in my opinion, and I can totally see their relationship being queerplatonic.
Then of course, there’s her fiancé, Kirishima, whom Shouma hates and vice versa. Kirishima’s a (sado?)masochistic psychopath with definitely a few several screws loose. At first, he didn’t think much of Yoshino, but then she showed her own yakuza side, after which he became obsessed with her. It’s very much one-sided, however, which I appreciate because:
Yoshino has no reason to like him after how they started, and quite frankly, I’m tired of authors very painfully obviously setting up guys, and especially guys like him, as the love interest. We know he’s the love interest because they’re technically engaged, and he’s obsessed enough with her to make the marriage happen. It’s up to him now to convince her to agree.
She’s rightfully very wary and occasionally scared of him, but she’s also pissed. She seriously does not like him after he showed his true colors, and it would make no sense for her to go changing her tune just because he, in his own words, fell in love with her.
And lastly (in this list) is the cousin I mentioned above, Tsubaki. She’s just as much a yakuza’s granddaughter as Yoshino is, though I think it shows differently with her. She’s not a carbon copy of Yoshino, and she’s visibly very feminine, which you don’t often see with strong female characters. For all that I dislike how she’s apparently in love with her grandfather, she never actually pursues it, and she’s very attached to Yoshino as a result (Yoshino reminds her of their grandfather, though I get the sense that that’s not the only reason she likes Yoshino). She’s protective of Yoshino, can (verbally) go toe-to-toe against Kirishima and is never shown to be afraid of him, and she’s a little NSFW. She feels pretty rounded out to me, especially for a side character.
Overall, I like how Yoshino’s physically weak, can’t fight for crap, but can still hold her own in her own way against the men in her life who can fight and fight well. She refuses to be sidelined, and while those same men try, she won’t be shielded from the bloodier side of her family’s associations and business. If she isn’t fighting with you, she’ll be there fronting the cash (that she’d been preparing in anticipation of needing it) to clean up the bodies you leave behind (please note, this is not an example I came up with, she literally was prepared to front the cash to dispose of bodies).

I'm not going to lie to you, like many people, I don't think CF is well written, I think the concept was interesting and I appreciate what (little) it does even with the flaws, but my major problems are with the Ede*stans, I know you have not been in the fandom in the beginning, but the things I had to read, even now, the fact that some people use uh, uncomfortable and questionable rhetoric to defend their favourite character it gets really, really tiring, to the point that I can't stand her /1
which is a pity, because while I like her I also like the other characters and the fact that they have to drag into the mud the others just to make her look better than she is says quite a lot of what do they actually think of her, to the point on denying basic canon information to suit your narrative, and I could just completely ignore this behaviour and CF and stay in my corner but some of this militant stans are so obnoxious that now wherever I think to hard of Edel's actions it makes me /2
uncomfortable. Now, all of this people are a very loud minority, they have also being bullied in the past before and I understand that they may be bitter because of it, but they should not retaliate make toxic and false takes and then attack using Ad hominem like you are sexist or homophobic because you don't like or agree with her, it makes me enjoy the games less and less, I don't have a lot of fate in this new warrior's game because the discourse have started again and is very tiring /3
I'm really sorry you had to go through that. It must suck to experience bullying in real life, only to see it happen again in what's supposed to be a silly, fun escapist fantasy video game.
I also know what it's like for a fandom to make you hate a character you used to like. Except for me it was Castiel from Supernatural. So I can relate what you're going through. I wish I could say time fixes it, and maybe it does for some, but I still only feel bitter when I think about Castiel. I hope it's different for you, though.
But yeah, I have not been active in this fandom for a while - since Awakening got released, and I saw how toxic the FE fanbase could be. I was embarrassed by the way some of the older fans treated newer fans.

I'm searching the internet for the Depp Trial on both sides and when it comes to Amber it's almost impossible to avoid TERFs meanwhile on Johhny it's a cesspool of misogyny almost all the time.
Tumblr media
This is a twitter user talking about JKr or she-most-not-be-named.
Tumblr media
The thing is... does the first person know people are different, some people may act accordingly or in a hypocritical way, but me personally I drop everything I may consume after knowing a person is problematic, regardless wether their bigotry is included or not in their work (most times it is, you just gotta be critical fo the media you consume and you usually easily realize the hurtful bias it contains most of the time). You can also consume it without giving it free publicity and consume it in a pirate web or similar, you know the internet.
When I say problematic I mean racism, lgbt+phobia, sexism, misogyny, xenophobia, antisemitism,Islamophobia, etc. So I mean a person with views full of bigotry,a hateful person who spreads unfair hate and hurts innocent victims.
The men mentioned in the first person's tweet are BAD but JKr is bad too, she's no angel with a simply controversial opinion, like idk pineapple pizza or whatever minimal stuff, that's an opinion.
JKr has discriminatory views towards trans ppl, that's not an opinion, that's bigotry, discrimination. She's transphobic, point blank.
I'm tired of people (especially/usually TERFs) who think women can't do no bad, that they're all the purest angels.
I'm also veeerryy tired of people who think hating on a harmless minority is justified and or a opinion.
No, you're just furthering the oppression (towards trans people mostly lately , but she also has racist, antisemitic, sexist and misogynistic bias in her works)* they suffer, congrats!
If these people had a couple brain cells ,dare I say a single one (it may suffice) they would get to grasp the concept of hating on hatmless oppressed minorities is bad and
DISCRIMINATION =/= OPINION.
*the hateful/ prejudiced bias may seem subtle to some people in some cases or instances where they appear but it's not to say hers works weren't influenced by them and that her works don't influence people (her readers) to get infected with these same hateful views, regardless of the grade (a lot-slightly) it may affect them.
It really isn't the first time women sadly have internalized misogyny, especially TERFs since they feel like they are the authority on what a woman is supposed to be and how is she supposed to be one[y'know if she passes the cissexism(transmisogyny/mysandry +sexism)test ;) ]. (yuck! 🤮)

Thinking a lot about reevaluating and “reclaiming” things from the past as queer, specifically music. For example, a friend of mine from the music scene, an AFAB nonbinary person, just finished writing a big college paper on the supposed queerness of heavy and hair metal, and the first thing I thought when I heard that was ‘nuh-uh, not this bullshit during pride month.’ I’ve seen similar connections being made by young people between emo and nu metal and supposed queerness as well. The idea being put forward here, generally, speaking, is that because the (almost exclusively) male progenitors of these genres took superficial forays into femininity (i.e. wearing makeup, embracing flamboyant stage personas, singing about their ~feelings~) this gives them some sort of meaningful claim to queerness, a term that, in this context, has been so watered down that it is functionally inert. It’s disappointing too because that kind of thinking just reaffirms gender stereotypes.
We really need to take a good hard look at what we actually mean when we slap the word queer onto a phenomena or aesthetic, especially if that phenomena/aesthetic didn’t originate in queer communities. At it’s broadest possible definition, something queer should at least be rejecting the same tired, regressive heteronormative and patriarchal stereotypes and assumptions that permeate mainstream culture. That’s why it’s so laughable that genres like hair metal or emo could be considered queer when, generally speaking, the lyrical tropes and attitudes of the genre are so day one, obviously sexist. A woman’s place in an emo song is so often relegated to ‘the unattainable object of my desire’ or ‘that bitch who broke my heart,’ while the aesthetics of hair metal essentially hinged on fantasies of sexually voracious (but importantly silent) glamazons and she demons, willing to take her top off and hop on the back of your motorcycle at the drop of a hat. That’s not even to mention the fact that scores of icons of the genres have been outed as abusers or sexually inappropriate, especially with underage girls (not an issue specific to these two genres, but important to mention nonetheless.) Which is not to say that the genres are flat out irredeemable or don’t have their place culturally, just that they are, like so much of American culture, often reflective of systemic power imbalances and bigotry.
I think a second reason that certain young people correlate genres like hair metal and emo with queerness is simply because the musicians (and fans) of the genres were derided by their critics for being too faggy, too flamboyant, too sensitive. But is it really a good idea to let definitions of queerness and queer culture be defined as whatever bigots find laughable? I find it really troubling that so many people are invested in bending over backward to justify why culture created by frustrated, straight (often white) men is queer instead of celebrating the work of actual LGBT people.
Just because you find a certain artist, work, genre, or aesthetic appealing does not mean that it’s liberatory. It’s so much more important to learn how to sit with the contradictions, the real cultural context, and the ~problematic~ qualities of a cultural object than it is to go through all the mental gymnastics required to pointlessly claim that object as secretly progressive. Not only are you doing yourself a disservice, but you’re doing everyone else a disservice by watering down a label that is supposed to do real sociopolitical work and celebrate the ways that LGBT people create and thrive despite living in a culture that would rather see us erased.

My review of Afterlife With Archie no longer appears on the Comic Hunter blog so am posting it here:
While drafting this blogpost I wondered if others had this love/hate relationship with Archie Comics so I polled a number of people via Facebook to get their thoughts. Here’s a sample:
I read them as a kid, and I'm embarrassed about that now. (Sexist, demeaning, traditional gender roles, lack of diversity all the way around.) I guess it was mostly because they were readily available that I read them. And maybe it's crap like that, and growing up in the Catholic Church, that helped me to become/realize I was a feminist, which I am grateful for. Better to be awake than in the dark.
I read them and liked them but I always thought they promoted 'the American dream', white Pickett fence type of thing... Also had horrible values for women... Archie would getting loving from the hot evil woman and when she didn't want him he ran back to the girl next door who was waiting for him always... They always made fun of the dumb, ugly and out of town people... Riverdale was a place you had to earn your stripes greaser style and be home in time for supper... Fun to read though haha
I loved Betty & Veronica storylines best, like all the girls. I was reading them probably between the ages of 8-12?? I think they informed my understanding of male vs female roles....hmmmm, that explains a lot!
I never understood a freaking bloody moment of that crap and HATED it....still do. I also hate anyone who read it. Hate.
Loved Archie comics as a kid, and have bought the odd digest as an adult for mindless reading on long flights. I identified with Betty and thought of my older sister as Veronica. I was mostly interested in all of the female characters (B & V, Josie + Pussycats, Sabrina, etc)- their hairstyles, fashion choices, taste in boys, etc. For some even stranger reason, I loved the beach comics the best in a kind of a 'Beach Blanket Bingo' way.
The outright sexist content is too much. recent readings of current issues prove they reinforce negative gender stereotypes, female competition, bad self image values lower class putdowns, and many more negative aspects. The sunny, vintage illustrations hide a truth based out of bad values & sexual manipulation. We have put a stop on them in our house.
I read them and remember thinking at one point how odd it was that I continued to do so despite never really laughing.
Ok so Archie Comics. My best friend … used to read them. She and her sister had dozens and they would be scattered everywhere; piles of them under the bed and being a voracious little reader, of course I checked them out. Yes, I was a kid who would go over to play at someone's house and start reading their books. Ok so I HATED those comics. And I was shocked. How could I hate something my best friend liked? I hated everything about the comics : the story line, the graphics, and the characters. I had a sense that I was supposed to relate to either Betty or Veronica and I had a sense it was supposed to be the dark haired one that I would relate to, but I still hated her. I felt like the stories were about a world that didn't fit with mine at all, and I could sense what the comic wanted me to think and feel but that it Just Wasn't Right. And on some level, it frightened me that there was this Thing in my world that was clearly cool with lots of others, that I wished didn't exist. At that age I was still frightened by being 'a little different' but the evidence was mounting. Thank you for this little morning homework assignment. I still hate Archie.
I never ever touched it, I recall picking one up when I was a kid and thinking how out dated it seemed. Looking back now, the themes are relevant, but it obviously screams of an era.
My friends’ responses encouraged me that I wasn’t being unduly critical of Archie Comics. To me, the most annoying thing about Archie comics is that nothing bad ever happens. Archie’s car might get a flat tire. Jughead’s belly aches from eating 100 hamburgers. Reggie takes a beating. No big whoop. It rung false when I was a little kid and it sure as hell rung false when I actually entered adolescence and learned what kind of horrible bastards fill this mortal void.
Riverdale is a weird version of the suburban white bread American Dream. While we saw the dark side of this in movies like Blue Velvet and Pleasantville, bad things don’t happen in Archie Comics.
Bad things do happen In Afterlife with Archie #1. The worst things you can imagine. Awful horrible stuff, drawn grotesquely, gruesomely, and gloriously. Archie’s still a player, but he’s dropped the bow-tie and the sweater. Reggie’s still a weasel, but, for the first time, has remorse for his craven actions. The story pivots on Jughead, his friendship with Archie, and mainly his relationship to his faithful mutt, Hot Dog. I’m not going further discuss the plot except to say that Sabrina the Teenage Witch features prominently and her aunts Hilda and Zelda are finally portrayed as proper witches and not just a couple of odd ladies in funny hats. Afterlife with Archie #1 is hands down the best Archie comic I’ve ever read. It’s hands down the best comic I’ve read all year. If you haven’t read it, read it. And place your order for #2. These suckers are selling out fast.

Horror Movies I watched: September 2023
Final bunch until I start my real big annual marathon! Here we go!
Night of the Demon (1957) So this is where the plots we've seen popularized in ones the Wicker Man and Drag Me to Hell came from. Personally, I prefer those, but probably because they were made in a time audiences could handle the leading man losing. Most of this movie is this smug know-it-all jackass mocking people for their religious beliefs pretty much. I'll admit, his final gambit to switch the curse back onto the main villain was a maneuver that would make Columbo proud. Though I still don't know what Karswell's whole plan outside of his demon hitman was.
Speaking of which, as iconic as that design is, it hasn't aged too well. The far away shot is the stiffest puppet ever seen, and even the closeup shot is...honestly, adorable. The most effective shot of it is near the end when it's tearing apart it's last victim. The claws not withstanding, it's head is in darkness with it's eyes glowing and you actually see the tearing even from a distance.
Though that was probably the key to it being one of the more effective horror films of the decade. Most times, the monster has to die or reveal to be secretly good. This is a demon, with no good bone in it's body, and it "gets away". Sure, the only real punishment it could've gotten is being chased away by a priest or an angel or such, but even that doesn't happen here. The devil is real. Demons are real. We might've escaped them this time. But by our own wit, not God's. If He is even real.
Side note, if I knew there was a Halloween party in this, I would've waited. Eh, close enough.
Christine (1983) It's surreal watching this after Halloween Ends. Sure, I think I've seen reviews saying that movie felt more like a remake of this movie plotwise. But now I see what they mean. Granted, the themes were handled with a bit more nuance in that film. I don't know; it's weird seeing a sequel to John Carpenter's most famous movie is used as a "backdoor remake" for one of his lesser known ones. It's at least a more interesting idea to handle a Halloween movie then a lot of the previous ones.
As for this movie; I never liked the 1950s. Even before and without knowing the awful political, racist, sexist shite that happened during it, I thought the aesthetics associated with it (cars, fashion, music, attitude, etc.) were the ugliest of any decade in the 20th century. Good ole days, my ass! The amount of similarities and homages to it in the 1980s were strikes against that decade too for me, in a weird guilt-by-association way. So it's oddly comforting that during a time where people, all the way up to the white house, were thinking "boy, don't you wish we could go back to such a time?", Both Carpenter and Stephen King made works that were responses in the fashion of "No! What are you, crazy?!"
But yeah, this does feel to me one of Carpenter's lesser efforts, not surprising since he practically saw it as a work for hire. It's a pretty typical King story, given a Carpenter coat of paint. I wonder if King gave him shit for being the second director of one of his adaptations that didn't redeem it's main character at the end. You wouldn't think the directors of book adaptations would make them more cynical then the produced-for-less-people source material.
Relic (2020) This film needs to be studied. by film scholars and then by students in film schools. It established a threat, a horror, that is unique to this movie, but you can follow what it's supposed to symbolize, and get a good handle on what it's doing in-universe to the grandmother. All without a single line of dialogue of exposition!
I really am so tired of films expecting to explain every weird thing in it, that I'm starting to love it whenever one just trusts you enough to get it and not raise arms about the small details that don't actually make or break a story. This is why the past few years have been seen as a golden age of the genre. It trusts us.
Another sidebar. Houses that turn into a magical maze that keeps you trapped might be one of my new fascinations. Simple, but super effective. I've seen it before in Grave Encounters, I heard it's in House of Leaves, which is on my reading list. It doesn't scare me, but I find oddly captivating. Got to try and figure out why.
Crawl (2019) If I covered Alligator, I'm going to have to cover this one. Though there's not much to say. A half hour of building mystery and tension, then once the gators literally explode onto screen, it's about surviving them and surviving them only and then credits. Not sure those many regular gators would have that strong a hankering for human flesh but whatever. Credit where credit's due, this movie made me jump the most out of any in recent memory. So it pretty much succeeded in it's main mission. Also, happy the dog made it, but it must've been miserable being wet for like 90% of the shoot.
Swallow (2019) Well this is new; body horror being the lesser of two evils. Hell of a pro choice message; "I'd literally feel safer putting anything else in my body". Many uncomfortable moments throughout, not all of them involving what she put in her mouth (though that freaking push pin!). Honestly, it's great to see a movie commits to that even the most egregious of supposed attention-seeking self harm is a symptom of a much larger problem. And that a film can be feminist and violent while actually looking pretty feminine. Though you probably all know that. We've all seen Barbie at this point.
I'm also watching Hot Fuzz. I'm not going to count it but I am watching Shaun of the Dead next month so I might mention it there.
Next month is the big one. Wish me luck and stay safe!

i went to the doctor today to check up on my shoulder and i got the official all clear and "come back as needed" so i'm happy to say that my shoulder is good now 💪
considering i completely forgot about the appointment, we took that as a good sign too lol
i got to come home today! i got to sit and ask mom about how to handle the sexism in the IT department and what she would do and how to approach it next time it happens because it will because people are predictable and sexist and basically i'll say "i am GSOC, this is what GSOC is saying, and you don't need anyone else's opinion." something like that or "of course i'm certain you'd like to explain to the VP of HR why i, a global security analyst, am neither believed nor trusted to give correct information on a subject that i brought to you to fix, im sure that would be fine and you would totally keep your job."
basically it's "fuck you, i'll get you fired" in corporate. which sounds like fun. i just need to channel my inner linda.
for dinner we had stir fry which was surprisingly good despite it being the first time making it in the house. mom was nervous and so was i lol so chelsea walked us through it and it was fine lmao
rip
anyway, i'm tired and tired and i was sad earlier because i was reminded of my path to get where i am and the line from taylor swift's song "this is me trying" that goes "they told me all of my cages were mental,/ so i got wasted like all my potential" and i felt that on a spiritual level as i have from day one bc rip me ig
anyway it's time for sleeping because i have a lot to do tomorrow
but also one or two last things:
1) my mom is praying for me to come back to church. i'm amazed that i can sit and listen to her talk without getting a panic attack or something. she's so wrong on so many levels and has made so many assumptions about me and my experiences, and has basically discounted everything that i've told her about my experiences as something that's "not perceived correctly." and i'm like "bitch?? how tf am i supposed to perceive it???" that shit is HOSTILE and i'm not about that. if someone 'needs' me or even if the whole goddamn room 'needs' me, that's still not a good enough reason for me to be there. count me the fuck out.
2) joel has been super duper sweet to me lately. on sunday we talked about us moving together and it made me happy and i got us lunch today and before anything happened he just texted me "love you <3" and it made me so happy?? like he thinks of me so much and he considers how i feel and he values my opinions and what i think and he listens and he is so good to me. i'm so happy he is exactly who he is because he's a good man and i'm happy i have him in my life. i love him so much. i'm happy.

Ok, Listen
I'm not intend to look sexist but I'm being sick and tired of women being evil towards me when I haven't done so much anything I haven't give them the middle finger
I have another word I immediately exist and their expectations make them go insane over me
I don't mean on the loving way I mean that I hateful way they don't like me women have all these mental expectations to what a man supposed to be and do in society and doesn't fill those quotations doesn't feel their role and women just feel like you're some kind of sinner
Like you've done nothing but commit cathedral sins women have no empathy at all whatsoever they give a woman not a woman suffers then the empathy kicks in if a man gets messed up there's no empathy there the women hate you the women are mad at you for being able to get hurt be broken not providing a man especially a white man a poor white man is basically an automaton to a woman
You're a robot you cannot have feelings you cannot have thought you cannot have explanations yet explanations you cannot have desires and women really want to know why men are just throwing them away like they just don't want to be around that they don't want pain we're going to try to have a hard time understanding why men don't want pain but the female brain won't let them know what they're doing is causing pain and those women who do know they're giving men pain
Just think that you're weak for not letting them hurt you and scream at you and take all the resources
And you wonder why a lot of men are gone MGTOW
Men are tired of being trapped and tortured by the female system
Mini trapt minute tortured men are socially beaten there's no mercy for men there's no love for men there's no support for men especially if you're a white man you hear the black man talking it's all support for them so then there's no support for man and why are there so many dumb men hurting other men thinking that they're good ?
American civilization is just FUK'D !!!
It's AFU
There's nowhere to go there's nowhere to run there's nowhere to hide everything takes money
A fictitious fake fictional resource and then you just want to make money on your own that's called counterfeit and that's evil it's evil the government doesn't let you do it the government demands your obedience and your slavery and your work the government open your demands your slavery so that you can have some stupid knick knacks and a little bit of crappy unhealthy food to keep doing the stupid work that you don't care about
Life in America is hell it's just hell life supposed to be about doing what you want enjoying your life and being free if that is in your life I don't care what woman what evil demonic woman says that you're a child that woman deserves to be in hell
The only responsibility you have as a man is your own well-being and probably trying to help other humans who are reasonable and good people
Will it be mental well-being spiritual well-being physical well-being are all them combined or combo of the two
Either way the responsibility of the man is not for you to get a job get kids get married that's not your responsibility I sometimes wonder woman came up with that
Your responsibility is a man it's a live your own life and do what you want
Women hate that because they don't want men having any freedom and happiness and a man that only cares about itself interest and doesn't want to be obedient slave and kiss the ass of the government and kiss the asses Society is called a child a selfish evil demonic child
You are gaslighted and shamed for just caring about yourself and not wanting to suffer the hell that is your country
👿
If anything is evil is telling people to get back to work that is hurtful to them detriment to their health detrimental to their Mental
Doesn't really produce anything it's a Bullshit Job
Over a fake resource that nobody needs 💸
Just so you can you can be forced to get up in the morning be miserable cuz you don't want to wake up to do this all over again to eventually die and get replaced by whatever child you have to do the suffering also
! NO, FUCK THAT !!!
I'm happy being a selfish child and that's what it means for my own well-being I'm happy acting like a child the rest of my life I'm happy just living as a man child care about myself trying to help other people forcing myself to learn things I want to learn getting up whenever I want to sleep whenever I want to eat whenever I want to if I can find any food
I'm kind of happy being a child has much better for my mental health
And I'll just let the women do all the work seeing they're getting hired so much more than men let them do all the work
Let them morally burn out and work and go insane and have those blow up at work and let them that all the male cops go away and just have female cops just let America become a matriarch
What's up the next president be Hillary Clinton
And as men collectively just knowing the bad that's going to happen by doing this let's just collectively say ! FUCK ! IT !
I just watch the system burn on down just watch it burn to the ground as the women go in the same then she going to actual physical violent fights
Watch the chaos unfold most men that like alcohol can just sit back in a lawn chair tip their beer together sip it and just watch the whole world burn !
👍🏻
. . .
You're the man I'm not selfish well me as a man not I just don't want to go into all this stuff I don't care for it do I want to help people out yes I do when I sacrifice for someone else's well-being yes I would if you think I'm a fool, you and I can do a little rodeo dancing 😡
If you know what I mean . . .
I really think of a man you just walk away from society because there's no good doing good we males are done with Society we can't make any progress now we shouldn't try to cast the twin towers as a fall and we need to all get out of the hell the way and then I'll just collapse
Don't let the woman shame you don't let women shame you
Women love to scream yell get dramatic they will make you deaf a lot of men have gotten death because women can get really really loud women can get louder than a gun
Women can scream louder than thunder they can scream so loud in a car that you can sometimes not hear thunder it's muffled out
Women can scream so effing loud they shake the car they vibrate the car
Let the Raging women rule the country and let them all go to war with each other but the female cops arrest want to commit the crimes and let them get violently each other and let the women just lose their Shit on each other as men walk away and the women hate the Man full of tyranny thinking after all bunch of children their whole life and they hate them they hate them forever
Be man children
Don't care
Worry about yourself
Don't worry about getting a good job if you can't then just live off grid
And you're living at your camping in a four somewhere in it's illegal tell to give the law middle finger because this is insane the law has gone crazy
The system is collapsing on the Laws
The system is in a place where the police officers are going to have to arrest everybody in the country and I Mean everybody it's gotten that bad !
So don't care about breaking Petty laws like trespassing
When the whole system is collapsing around you and gas prices are insanely High stop caring about living in a force somewhere is against the law or a federal law or some kind of national camping wall don't care about that cuz you can't get a house and being homeless in the street is a horrible idea stop being overly legal
Go somewhere on the floor somewhere someone isn't haunted or plagued with cryptic creatures
And try to find a way to make a little base there maybe have a little cancer a couple of people and just live there and just live on the woods and if any cops try to go after you go after them if they're any of them are even alive today
And if they do try to put you in jail you're going to be like one out of a hundreds of millions of people they had to arrest
Because the system is breaking down America the system of America is literally falling apart like 9/11 in slow motion
😡
So stop caring so much about what the women say they're not very intelligent but they are extremely emotional
😐

Don’t you love when Facebook asks right there at the top, “What’s on your mind?”
Well, a lot actually…thanks for asking! But I won’t do all that lol. Ain’t nobody got time for all that. I will tell you how I’m feeling, though: like a failure and a disappointment.
Am I either of those? No. But life has me feeling that way. All I’ve tried to do for the last 11 years is to make life better for my kids. Trying to pay off debt and save to be able to one day buy my own home for them to be able to grow in and have a stable place. Problem is, I never make enough to be able to do that. A one income house can barely function…when back 50 years ago, that’s all you had was the one person working (usually the father of the house) and one staying home. Hell, now you can barely function with a two income household.
After filing bankruptcy two years ago, I thought it was my fresh start and I could build everything back up where I needed it to be…which I was almost there. Until I’ve gotten behind again because literally the price and cost of everything has risen so high people can barely afford to live. I took a contract position with no insurance or paid time off with the hope that the higher pay would mean I could finally get ahead (HAHA) and then I could save money to pay down and buy a house whenever one came available that wasn’t outrageously priced and was one we loved. I was planning for that to happen this year. But. My plans never seem to go the way I want them to.
For the past two months I have spent every single day searching for homes and apartments and calling and applying…and wondering and worrying how in the hell I’m supposed to come up with at least $1,200 for a deposit and first months rent somewhere (and that’s on the cheaper end I’ve seen) when I can barely pay bills and gas and food and not able to save anything. It sucks and I’m depressed and barely going…but I’m still going. Because I have to…because I have kids and a cat that depend on me. Because even though I feel like I’ve let them all down, I still have to keep moving.
I feel like I’m a good person and I work hard for everything I have, but I’m so tired. So tired of nothing I try to do ever working out or being enough. So tired of being shit on by life. So tired of working my ass off and still being behind. I’m not asking for prayers or pity or money (but if you want to donate to my Find A Home fund my cash app is $KaciTuell 😂🤣)…I’m just venting my frustration out. Because I know for a fact I’m not the only person struggling or feeling this way…you’re not alone. Nothing is ever as it appears to be on social media.
Check on your friends. We’ll still tell you we’re fine, but know that just knowing there’s people out there that care even if we don’t speak often or see each other everyday is something we remember. And it matters.
I’m not that ok, but I will be. Something somewhere will work out and hopefully things will turn around for my situation. For now, quit being jerks, racists, homophobes, sexists, holier than thou judgemental pricks and just be nice to one another and live your own life and quit worrying about what Bill and Steve do with theirs next door if it’s not causing you any harm. People have enough shit on their plate without you trying to tell them how to live their own lives and be free and happy. Because YOU DONT EVER KNOW HOW SOMEONE ELSE IS REALLY FEELING or what they might be going through.
But hey, on a good note: Sonic’s got me, cause as I typed this I got my daily text that there’s a reward for a free cheeseburger in the app! I’m good for lunch! 😂😂

Separatist anon here - its funny to me when osa women get mad at me bc there are lots of women throughout history & around the world who were celibate and they didnt do it for a political reason - they did it bc they cherished their freedom. I didnt know separatism was a practice but Ive been doing it for a long time without even knowing it was a radfem thing. I did it bc I love myself more than anything
"Separatist anon again: sleep3r4gent(.)tumblr(.)com/post/687397324261064704/why-do-you-dislike-the-term-internalized-misogyny#notes - this is how i feel about osa women"s victim complex. Im tired of them refusing to take accountability of how theyve harmed other women"
Linked post (idk how to add images to asks if i even can anymore lol) Anon Question: Why do you dislike the term internalized misogyny? I thought it just meant internalized sexism? OP's Answer: "bc it’s annoying, diverts attention and ultimately means nothing. theoretically all misogynist beliefs a woman holds are “internalized misogyny”, even when it’s things that dont currently affect her and possibly never will like thinking masculine women arent “real women”. by calling it internalized misogyny you’ve directed the conversation from whats at hand, a woman being sexist to other women and perpetuating misogyny, to be about her internal feelings (or your supposition of her internal feelings) and how we have to be nice to her. the abuser was abused in the past type shit, it’s obnoxious like even if it’s worth talking about, now is not the time when you’re talking about the victims or general impact of their actions lmao. also theres an assumption that internalized misogyny directly translates to self hatred. could not be further from the truth, how many countless cases have we heard of of anti choice women who got abortions themselves because “their case is ok” and kept being anti choice? or victim blaming women who have suffered sexual abuse themselves yet treat other victims as lying bitches unlike them pure truthful victims? srsly stop coddling these women, theyre not suffering from bigotry they are just perpetuating it. the concept of self directed misogyny is real and worth talking about and helping women with but it’s not the same thing as what people currently consider “internalized misogyny” to be"

For the first part, I agree. It is a little funny because these women, being self proclaimed radical feminists, I'm sure at some point have come to the realization that male oppressive tactics are not isolated to one or just a few areas of the world, it's seen all over the world and is recognized in all kinds of species. Males have an inherent need to control, I think we can all agree on that. We see it everywhere. What benefit/s do women receive from pairing themselves with men? If we are wanting liberation from men, how are we supposed to do that when there are women who refuse to sleep with men? Can't even suggest a sex-strike during the threat of Roe v Wade being overturned without some women acting like we're trying to take away their rights. I have to ask, is it a right to sleep with the enemy? Why do you want that as a right? We should all want to seek freedom so we CAN cherish it, but how can you do that while having romantic relationships with the exact thing that takes freedom away from you? Is it "not all men", I wonder? I thought it was enough? Not enough men to completely separate from them, though?
For the second part, I mostly agree with OP. I think I need to know a little more context to be able to form my own opinion, but just from seeing what happened yesterday how quick an osa woman was to call lesbians misogynists and accuse them of blaming her for her abuse because we said feminism shouldn't be about hating men it's about loving women, and i dared to ask the question if you hate men so much and have these experiences why continue to seek companionship with them, not blaming them for their past experiences but asking why CONTINUE, i'm a misogynist for somehow assuming osa women don't deserve companionship (which isn't at all what I said.) anyway i don't want to get too off topic, but I do see that these women with these victim complexes are very quick to lash out/perpetuate misogyny when their own decisions are questioned. I just feel like at some point you have to realize there isn't going to be "the one good man" and should start to focus your feminism on PLATONIC companionship with women. (have to clarify or i'll get accused of spouting poliles rhetoric)
