👷♂️ Modern-Day Castlevania Headcanons: Jobs 👩⚕️
I see Trevor as something of a detective/cop, but I don’t think he’d be down with working for the system. Being a P.I. or an independent security contractor of some sort would probably suit his personality better. He’s the cool kinda punk that strikes fear into the hearts of violent bigots but is also somehow seen as a safe adult to little kids. Which he doesn’t mind. He finds it useful that only those hiding something or guilty of something see him as a threat. He’s not the best with kids, but he’s nice enough to them. He was on his own a lot from a very young age- definitely a latch-key kid- so he feels a fair share of protectiveness when it comes to them.
Sypha strikes me as a natural protector/nurturer, so maybe a preschool/grade-school teacher or physical therapist? She loves learning and sharing that knowledge with others. I can absolutely see her leading workshops related to whatever it is she’s chosen to have a career in. And she’s great with everyone- adults, kids, seniors, animals- you name it, they love Sypha. (Except for assholes and Karens of course.)
Alucard is introverted by nature, and also a lifelong student like Sypha. He’s also the inheritor/keeper of his father’s money and his mother’s wisdom. For that reason, I see him as a History or Anthropology Professor- at the college level and above. Maybe even an eventual department head. He’s very serious, and doesn’t have the demeanor for working with children or amateurs; he wants to teach people who are just as committed as he is to what they’re learning. His whole life he feels like his purpose is greater than what it currently is, and because of that, he’s never quite content with the life he’s living. He feels like something or someone is missing from his journey.
I think the three of them would become friends eventually, but one like one of those friend groups that makes absolutely no sense to people outside it. Like, you wouldn’t expect a rough and tumble cop-hating anarchist, a feisty, yet kind-hearted physical therapist, and a tall skinny history academic to be besties, yet there they are.
Maybe they’d meet at a conference somewhere. Like a wellness convention/conference is taking place at Alucard’s college, Sypha’s a prominent speaker (ah! pun not intended) there, and Trevor’s company is providing extra security.
Maybe there’s some kind of snafu, and there’s like an assailant loose on campus or something. Trevor’s chasing the guy, but Alucard sees him coming and decides he’ll help out and head the bad guy off. But in the end, the two men are beaten to the quick by Sypha, who stops the guy in the most impressively timed frisbee toss they’ve ever seen. The two men insist on talking Sypha out for coffee- and getting to know her, because, let’s be honest, who wouldn't want to be friends with Sypha? The three of them get to talking and the rest is history.
Dracula is someone who just has power- he doesn’t have to amass it, it just naturally comes to him. He’s the type to gather fortune and invest it in a bunch of different properties and revolutionary pharmaceutical investment opportunities. He’s the Big Guy in the Chair. And then he just sort of, fucks off to his mansion to do whatever he wants. He’s a recluse- he deems human interaction pointless and unnecessary as a man of his stature. Who needs to leave the house when you can just pay people to do everything for you? He’d much rather be alone anyway. Of course that all changes when he meets Lisa.
Lisa, similar to her nature in the show, would be a physician of some sort. I could see her being especially interested in women’s medicine or infectious disease as it disproportionately affects those in need, and she has a very strong internal sense of justice. Maybe she seeks out Vlad because he’s the big cheese CEO of a pharmaceutical company that’s publicly refusing to lower the cost of a specific drug that would revolutionize her patients’ care. She’d find out where he lived, bang on his door, and demand he lower his profit margins right now. Of course, no one has ever had the balls to say such a thing to his face before, and Drac falls in love pretty much instantly.
The two of them are a power couple: he still maintains so much fortune and sway, but his partnership with Lisa makes him see ways to use it for good. He starts charities and fundraisers- he shocks the wealthy world by going rogue- and gives away most of what he earns instead of hoarding it. And it’s no secret it’s thanks to Lisa.
Now Hector: I know everyone headcanons Hector as being a veterinarian, but for me, I think it makes more sense for him to be a mortuary or a medical examiner. He’s lovely with his pets, but at the same time, I don’t think he has the stomach to do what vets have to do. Vets have to talk to owners and their families and be personable and bright. He sees his pets as possessions, not family members. So a job where it’s just him and no one else- no crying kid or elderly companion to reassure would be better suited for him.
Hector is naturally inquisitive- a trait we saw even when he was imprisoned, so I think being a medical examiner would be very rewarding to him. He’d find it invigorating, to get down the truth of a mysterious death or shocking murder. And because he’s not squeamish, he’d be very clear and articulate presenting information on the stand.
Issac’s big thing throughout the series is loyalty and personal growth. S2 Isacc and S4 Issac are very different people. So I’m basing this more on S4 Isaac. I think he’d benefit in a position of some power, but also of some charity. Maybe as a politician or a professional lobbyist. He advocates for causes he believes are just and does not shy away from verbal confrontation when it comes to hashing out right vs. wrong.
I could see this being the way he meets Vlad and Hector. If some sort of tragedy or panic happened, and a large emergency medical response was involved, I could see Isacc propositioning Dracula for donations, in exchange for dinner and a chance to sway his mind about a certain political vote. Hector would be on the other end of that tragedy, dealing with those who lost their lives. Perhaps Issac seeks out Hector as a form of outreach, to prove he is committed to what he says he stands for. He connects Hector with Dracula, and the three of them find they’re all rather pleasant company compared to the majority of the unremarkable humans out there. They can all look death in the face and feel no fear. They don’t do bullshit, and they get along well because of it.

Headcanon (Might be canon?) about Shatterbird is that she was a primary driver of the S9′s group cohesion. She’s explicitly called out as being their “main recruiter,” and out of everyone in the 9 she’s the one who actually picked out a candidate (Hookwolf) who was genuinely a good fit for the group once Jack was able to get to work on him. Jack himself wasn’t really capable of this, as shown by the Oni Lee Snafu. She’s got....some kind of intimate dynamic going on with Burnscar. Dipping into Apocrypha, Wildbow has mentioned that she’d have gotten along with Damsel if they’d ever met, and in the “Amy Joins the Undersiders” AU he wrote an outline for, she escapes and starts her own s9 spinoff to show Jack up, composed largely of capes she’s able to talk into following her purely on the merits of her people skills. Stretching into pure speculation territory, it’s kind of easy to see how she’d get along with Crawler and Hatchet Face; all three of them are huge on shows of strength against worthy opponents as a means of face-building and grasping for safety.
And all of this would go a long ways towards explaining why Jack, despite finding her boring, doesn’t contrive to remove her from the group; behind every mass-murdering man is an ominously-hovering silicakinetic woman, and Broadcast knows this even if Jack doesn’t.

For the headcanons, how about an AU where Julian is there from s1, employed by CCPD after their other CSI got struck by lightning and comatosed for 9 months and definitely wasn't coming in to do his job
Ooooh, I like this idea a lot. :D They really did need another CSI. I mean, presumably there are others, I dunno what was up with the backlog at the start of S4 other than maybe David Singh screwing with Barry a little bit (it was funny), but there have gotta be more CSIs stationed off site. Presumably though they've always got at least one on site CSI who can explain stuff to detectives or lawyers while still keeping up with their own work.
So I think here Julian would not have changed his last name. So he's still Julian Desmond and not Julian Albert. (He did change his name in the show, though it's not clear how much of that is to distance himself from the snafu at the dig site in India and how much was to distance himself from his family after his sister's death.)
In turn, his sister is alive here and so while his relationship with his parents is troubled, he's not estranged from them.
If Julian was already employed by the city and just picked to take over as the on site CSI in Barry's absence, then he'd be a meta in S1. I think it'd make an interesting storyline to have him be kind of a jerk about metas as he was in S3, but then really explore what it means for him to find out that he's a 'dangerous meta' too. He wouldn't be a bad guy, just kind of a low level antagonist who peaks when his powers emerge, but winds up an ally of Team Flash when they help him get his powers under control.
Julian and Barry would absolutely have friction at first. Barry doesn't like how his lab has changed while he was away and expects that Julian will go back to the offsite labs now that he's back. Julian isn't about to let go of the on site lab, he likes it there and it's his now. They eventually work things out, but it takes a while.
Comics Albert Desmond had dissociative identity disorder which is where his iteration of Alchemy came from, but neither the comics nor the show treated that disorder well so I'd want to leave that out for Julian, but he could still have powers similar to what the philosopher's stone gave him. Specifically the 'transmutation' that allowed him to trigger potential metas to gain powers caterpillar style. So maybe his powers activating accidentally creates the main antagonist of an episode at least once and he, rather understandably, freaks out over it.
Eobard would absolutely be fascinated by Julian's powers. If he can create metas, could he also take away meta powers too? EoWells wants to know the answer.
I think Julian wouldn't be main Team Flash. He helps out where he can, but he doesn't have to be a genius of all trades to give him something to do every episode the way S3 decided to go. He'd be ideal for giving Barry alibis when he has to run off during work hours to be the Flash.
No Julian/Caitlin. I wasn't interested in it when the ship was danced around during S3, so I wouldn't want to see it happen in an alt S1. Besides, Caitlin is pretty tied up in the Ronnie Lives/FIRESTORM plotline, so she still has her fiance around and wouldn't be interested in a complication anyway.

Okay okay okay. I'm enough of a nerd that yes I own those damned Disney Star Wars themepark cookbooks, and I've been steadily working my way through most of the recipes in them.
Mostly the recipes are a great balance of fun, interesting, and vaguely deliberately shifted around a really solid base to make it just a little unfamiliar so it's 'space' themed. But actually something you'd be willing to cook, without a million and a half rather finnicky steps and a ton of things to wash up before the thing even meets heat.
(With one or two minor SNAFUs caused by ye olde separated by a common language - tomato paste vs tomato puree woops)
But ahem, anyway that 'spicy' Mandalorian stew, ey?
For all of the advertised heat in the thing... You essentially end up with a rather tasty Japanese style curry with couscous in it, rather than rice on the side.
Nice? Yes.
Spicy? No not really. Even compared to other similarly mild curries, and taking spicy to mean spiced not hot. The Japanese style curry this recipe seems to be based around somewhat infamously comes from the bland for the UK-palette generic curry powder of the Victorians...
Sooo. I am spitefully choosing to follow a large chunk of fandom's example and picking bits of Star Wars at random to pick and choose my canon from... I'm now taking that recipe as 'proof' that Mandalorian cooking... really isn't all that hot.
And yes, I made that Pog soup too. Tasty? Yeah sure. Spicy? ...Eh?
And again, spitefully logicking my way through, which culture is always depicted in the films as actually extremely multicultural, and actually allows its members to retain their home traditions from their roots, and actually is based loosely around Asia rather than the old colonising empire building bounty hunters and rogues mashed with Knights Templar thing that is still the bulk of what the Mandos have?
The Jedi.
Who, notably, are absolutely missing any representation whatsoever in either of the two Disney-era Star Wars cookbooks. Since the setting is post the second Jedi genocide in the Skywalker Saga...
So whilst I'm now headcanoning, Mando food as all bark and very little bite, spitefully and based solely off of a very dubious bit of 'canon'.
I can also with impunity go, Sichuan cooking for the Jedi? Yes. Yes. Yes. Genuinely interesting Indian cuisine? Sure why not? Spicy Uzbek style stews? Great! Shakshouka as fiery as you can get it for breakfast? Amazing! Enough spicy kefta to feed fifty ravenous knights? Fabulous!
There's a brisk, and expensive given they're just cheap space-ramen, trade in the Jedi Temple sector of Coruscant of all the numerous flavours of Space-Buldak Chilli Noodles, since the Padawans basically live off of them.
Swimming in chilli already? Well that's not hot enough for old Master Rancisis! Add more! And don't forget the numbing peppercorns, that's Master Sifo-Dyas's favourite part!
Cue a fanfic, with the usual increasingly irritating set-up. Ahahaha, lets laugh at the culture that supposedly eats nothing but the blandest thing on the menu encounter the Manly Men we only eat the Hottest Vindaloo because we're hard! culture... And... Nope, nosiree the Mandos cannot handle it at all, cue much blue milk chugging, and not from the jedi half of the contingent. Despite all their showboating about how spicy they love their spicy spicy stew, they're like the old stereotype about white Brits in an Indian Curry House in Goodness Gracious Me.
(Seriously still far too spitefully amused that the official 'Spicy Mandalorian Stew' recipe produced bland but tasty comfort food in reality.)

harry welsh... sorry i've already ranted about this today (well, it was that day when i was originally writing this but now it's been like a week), so i'll just direct you over there instead of doing it all over again.. but i also feel like sometimes people get burgie really wrong as well. he's sometimes written/headcanoned as this responsible 'straight-man' to snafu's chaotic antics and sledge's angst, when it's just not really what he is. and i mean straight-man as in the comedy trope, not the sexuality. i feel like people make him out to be way more 'boring' than he actually is. yeah, he has to take on more responsibility than most of the others bc of his role, but he also let's snafu act like a mean little bitch to everyone and smiles whilst he watches on in silence. he's a partner in crime, not an intervention. he's also tired. you can tell he wasn't prepared for everything he'd have to do, but he does it because he has to, and because weirdly, he's mostly good at it. in a winging-it kind of way. he somehow manages to be what the boys need most of the time, even though it's pretty clear he's fucking Stressed too. he's good at observing from a close distance and making himself known when he needs to, but he's got this quiet chaos running through him under the surface, people are just too distracted by snafu most of the time to see it. idk, i just think he's a lot more interesting than some of the headcanons i see.
but i've also seen some really interesting and amazing headcanons about him so don't think i think everyone in the fandom gets him wrong or anything, it's not even widespread
a compelling argument for why your fave would never top or bottom
ok so i wrote a pretty long answer to this originally but then decided to just keep it simple instead. i honestly don't really think you can argue that someone will never top or bottom. most people have preferences toward one, a lot don't mind either way, but the thing is, even if someone has a preference, unless they explicitly say it out loud you really can't argue for sure that they would never. so honestly, most of them i wouldn't be able to argue for only ever doing one. like a few i can definitely say would lean one way or the other, but there are always circumstances with characters and their different dynamics where someone could do the opposite. i think it's more accurate to say that readers have a preference for whether they enjoy reading their fave top or bottom and a lot of that is bc of their own preferences and feelings about top/bottom dynamics.

More Information About Our Prompts
It's time to take a closer look at our prompts for this year. They're truly delicious and are a treasure trove of possibility. But with open-ended prompts, the possibilities can seem overwhelming to some. Richie and I are here to help!
A couple things to remember: your submissions can be canonverse or AU and they can be SFW or NSFW. Feel free to age Gene and Snafu up or down or swap their genders for any of these prompts. Your pieces can be as literally or metaphorically related to the prompt as you like. Don't stress: even if it's vaguely related to the prompt, we'll take it! If you're unsure, you can always send a message to ask for help or clarification.
Please have a look under the cut for more fuel for your creative fire :)
**We've included some reminders about mindful writing for a few of the prompts; please be sure to read them as well.
Powers
This prompt gives you a lot of wiggle room. It's got lots of crossover potential with popular franchises (like "X-Men", "Percy Jackson" or "Star Wars"). Of course, you can also create your own fantastic world, and give the characters totally unique abilities!
Some words and tropes that come to mind with this prompt are: secret identity, superhero, strength, might, heroism, bravery, sacrifice, legacy, hereditary powers, mission, quest, hero and "damsel in distress", team, hero vs. villain (with bonus enemies to lovers potential!), witchcraft, supernatural, transformation
The works for this prompt can be fluffy (the boys training/working together or just showing off to impress each other, or maybe one helping the other in a low-stakes accident - think a kitten stuck in a tree), angsty (fighting against a powerful foe, one trying to save the other against all odds, hiding a secret identity), or more adventure-based (embarking on a quest, discovering new powers, origin story).
As mentioned before, you can also write crossover fic - feel free to recreate certain scenes or plots with our boys in starring roles!
Royalty
A very exciting prompt, because I’m thinking about gay knights mostly; however, there is so much more you could do with this prompt. In general, royalty can make you think about things like wealth, power, jewels, estates/castles, the aforementioned knights, family, lineage, war. But ideas about romance, courting, chivalry, codes and honor are big parts of many stories, art, etc. involving royalty. Perhaps you can reimagine The Pacific set in the time of a medieval war. Or it could be a fantasy AU with wizards, dragons, etc. (King Arthur AU anyone?) Or you could make an AU of another story involving royalty; think of fairy tales, books, poems, movies or plays. Like, I wouldn’t hate a Romeo & Juliet AU, just saying.
Or maybe you want a modern take. They could be royals of today, they could be homecoming royalty, they could be Mardi Gras royalty, they could be drag queen royalty. Or maybe their families are considered royalty in their hometowns.
A mindful suggestion: Gene and Snafu are presented as being from different classes in The Pacific. If you include this in your work, please be mindful of the power dynamics between royalty and non-royalty, royalty of equal rank or royalty of non-equal rank. Also, if you headcanon Snafu as mixed race, Black, or non-white, please also be mindful of how you portray him in a position of power, a position of “lower status,” or something in between.
Scar
Scars can be either physical or mental. When it comes to the former, you can write about scars earned during combat, during accidents, due to medical issues and surgery or anything else. Mental scars may be a more difficult subject to tackle - please be mindful when writing about mental health, and tag any possibly triggering content.
Some words and tropes for this prompt are: surgery, wound, memory, combat, trauma, care, medicine, hospital, medic
This prompt would work well with canon compliant fic, as it can involve hurt/comfort, angst, and sickfic elements.
Leaving
Leaving is a great prompt with very high angst potential. For Sledgefu, there is a very obvious way one could go with this prompt [tries not to make eye contact with The Train Scene]. But just in case you don’t want to be depressed about The Scene for the next 2 months while you work on this prompt, here are some other things to think about. Gene and Snafu both do a lot of leaving as Marines - leaving home, leaving boot camp, leaving for the Pacific Islands, leaving each island, leaving their foxholes, leaving for China, leaving for home. Also think about the circumstances of the leaving - was it planned? Is it temporary? How many people are leaving? Did they leave voluntarily? Are they leaving in the night or the day? And always most importantly, why are they leaving? Also, don’t just think about what they are leaving but what are they moving toward - a new job? A new place to live? A place of safety? A place of danger?
If you want to go with a happier piece, you could think about things like vacations/holidays, new homes, new jobs, new opportunities. Some other miscellaneous ideas - maybe one of them is retiring (because who doesn’t love old men Sledgefu).
Leaving can also mean “a leftover thing.” Do either or both of them have remnants of the war (physical or otherwise)? Do they have scraps, fragments or pieces of things (once again, physical or otherwise) that remind them of each other or their relationship?
Some synonyms for “leaving” that are very helpful/intriguing - parting, abandonment, forsake, reject, quit, give up, escape, retreat, withdrawal, relocate, march, voyage, journey, division, removal
Memories
This one has tons of potential! Reminiscing about falling in love, their first official date, moving in together, and other milestones are all good ideas for a fluffy, lovey-dovey fic. For an angstier fic, you can write a canon compliant work about one of them reminiscing about the time they spent with the other during the war, lamenting lost chances, or even recalling memories of their loved one after their passing.
You can also choose a more neutral route, for example having the boys talk about their childhoods, hometowns, families, and friends.
Some words and phrases for this prompt are: remembrance, forgetting, happiness, regret, past, loss, growth
This prompt may also involve objects like souvenirs, photos, diaries, and letters.
Social Media
This is a pretty self-explanatory one, but just in case you’re stuck or want to try something “out of the box,” you can think about some of these things. Social media is used for communication, so when the boys are on social media, what are they communicating to each other and how? Pictures, videos, DMs, comments section, etc. What type of social media is it (dating app, blog, instagram, discord, etc.)? Maybe your piece is set in the ‘90s or early 2000s and all the social media to choose from was AOL Instant Messenger, MySpace or LiveJournal. You can also think about things related to social media: phones, computers, texting, activism, competition, hacking, memories, being a part of a fandom/community, etc. Or maybe we can finally get The Social Network AU we’ve all been waiting for.
This prompt lends itself to some great art and edits like envisioning what their instagrams or WhatsApp conversations might look like. This prompt is definitely a fun way place Sledgefu in a modern setting.
Free Choice
We know you all know what this one is, but sometimes having infinite choices can be overwhelming. Here are some ideas to narrow it down: look at prompts from past Sledgefu Weeks that you didn’t get a chance to do, or want to redo. Or pick a prompt you liked from this year that didn’t make the final 7. Or find a random word generator and see what prompts sound promising. All we ask is that the prompt be SFW (of course, your piece can be NSFW).

((Shy has a lot of skirts and dresses, but only two really nice dresses; one is black and for work events or in the case of a family funeral, and the other is a sparkly midnight blue evening gown that looks...really good on her.

I figured now would be as good a time as any to feature some of my writings, both old and kinda/sorta recent. We’re seeing a new influx of people coming to Tumblr (as well as some old folks returning, welcome back!) so...hey! I write stuff sometimes! Or I used to anyway, haha. Being creative is hard.
Ahem! So, without further ado, here are the links to the various XIV-centric fics, bits and bobs I’ve done over the years. Most are here on my tumblr, but AO3 links will also be provided too, especially for most of the FFXIVWrite entries and for stories I kept strictly over there. These will also be listed in order of when I wrote them...if I can remember right anyway, lol.

Long May She Endure - written after my first long(ish) fic, Rumors, this is a prequel to that story. Takes place in the aftermath of Ala Mhigo’s liberation, Ahlis and Aymeric spend some time together to eat, drink, and reflect. (AO3 link)
Rumors - The first day of liberation for the city of Ala Mhigo and her people and the Warrior of Light finds herself in the middle of a contentious rumor.
Drama, gossip, a spar and someone gets punched (almost). First long fic I’ve written for Ahlis so I am a bit partial to it, haha! (AO3 only)
Proficiency - An experiment with imagery and insinuation. Ahlis and Aymeric practice archery in the Shroud...honest ;) (AO3 only)
Song of Eld - This had plans to become a longer story but I never got to finishing it. Meant to be a fluffy Starlight fic for Ahlis and how she was given a very pretty harp as a gift from House Fortemps (with a little help from a certain lord commander as well). (AO3 only)
This Cannot End in Happiness - Another standalone and experimental drabble I did early on about uncertainty within a relationship. I don’t consider it “canon” but an idea/theme I was playing with. Adult themes, but nothing explicit, and short. (AO3 only)
FFXIVWrite 2017 - My first FFXIVWrite and one of my favorites. All of these entries are on my tumblr, where they were written originally, but it’s easier to read them in one place like AO3. My FFXIVWrite entries are called ‘Exploration of Character’ on AO3 because that’s normally what my focus is for my FFXIVWrite entries.
Mandragora - Aymeric returns to Borel Manor to find an unexpected visitor waiting for him.
Years ago there was a pretty well-known Aymeric blog/role player here on tumblr that had the personal headcanon of Aymeric’s “cantankerous cat” having the name Mandragora. Loving this idea, I asked for permission to use it for this story. (AO3 only)
Beyond The Closed Door - Originally an except from a much longer story I had in the works that forever remained in the outline stage. It was to be a fic where Ahlis and Aymeric take a jaunt around various locals (their “wild Eorzean adventure,” as it were) while exploring character growth as well as their growing (and unspoken) feelings for one another. It was an ambitious idea at the time, but it never got off the ground and this is all there is, alas! (Tumblr only)
Despite All Reason and Better Judgment - After passions have waned, the Warrior of Light and Ser Aymeric consider briefly what lies ahead for them.
Another small drabble meant to take place sometime after ‘Beyond The Closed Door’...or, whenever they manage to leave on their own. A reflective piece of sorts, and one I was just playing with. (AO3 only)
FFXIVWrite2018 - My entries for FFXIVWrite 2018, all on AO3. Since the first FFXIVWrite was so fun I decided to try it again!
Of Moogles and Mail (Part 1 & Part 2) - Embroiled in the conflict to liberate two nations under Garlean rule, the Warrior of Light has had little time for personal mail or correspondence. Upon returning to the Rising Stones it would seem the post moogles, entrusted to ensuring the mail of Eorzeans everywhere, created a bit of a snafu for the hero.
I have a (personally) amusing headcanon that Ahlis, while she enjoys receiving letters she is terrible at writing them herself. This is a two-part story which is technically a continuation of both ‘Long May She Endure’ & ‘Rumors’ that begins when conflict with the Garlean Empire is coming to a head. Meant to be a comedic piece, I had a lot of fun writing it. (AO3 link)
The One Who Stood Alone - After the initial push against Garlean forces within the Ghimlyt Dark, the Warrior of Light feels the impact of finally--truly--being the last one standing. Or is she...?
This was a very cathartic piece to write that corresponded to a very emotionally charge moment in XIV’s main story (patch 4.5 man, hooo...). It felt good writing this one, and I used this momentum to continue with my next story to a personally satisfying climax. (AO3 link)
Gods Help Me - The Warrior of Light prevents Ser Aymeric from leaving the infirmary, not until she wants him to.

FFXIVWrite 2019 - My entries for FFXIVWrite 2019. Also on tumblr, but for the sake of ease I placed them on AO3 as well.
The 30 Day WoL Challenge - A tumblr based writing exercise I decided to attempt randomly. Still happy (and a little unsure of where to go next) with where my last long fic left off I went the fluffy route and wrote many Ahlis & Aymeric-centric bits, despite the theme being WoL-centric (it still counts!).
FFXIVWrite 2020 - This was the FFXIVWrite that I did not put on AO3, oops! I managed to do all entries this year as well, but they’re all only on my tumblr.
FFXIVWrite 2021 - I only ended up doing a few entries for FFXIVWrite for 2021; my motivation and writer’s block was rough.
FFXIVWrite 2022 - This year’s FFXIVWrite was another I did not finish entirely, but I did about half of the entries. I had ambitious goals for this one, which ultimately didn’t pan out, but that’s ok! This was my first attempt at doing all first person style entries, which was fun to do for a little while. The Journals - I started this series during Stormblood and the 3.x patch series. These journals cover the span of story from 4.0 to 6.0, numbered based on the patch number. I don’t know if I will add more of these in the future for Endwalker, but you never know! All of these are on tumblr, not on AO3.

6 - whats a headcanon that you will die on that hill?
one of my favourites is that nix goes out of his way to scrounge non-army issue food for dick because he doesn't like the rations and nix likes to look after him. another headcanon that i tend to just assimilate into my interpretation of nix is that he is fairly comfortably bisexual, probably had some early same-sex experiences in boarding school/potentially in germany on that school trip he took pre-war, and i definitely think he tries Very Hard not to think about why after meeting dick the guys he ends up fooling around with while on passes/leave tend to be redheads more often than not...

haha well, let's say eugene sledge (and, technically by extension, everyone else in tp/bob lmfao) because gwen/@batmanschmatman started writing him before i'd ever watched the show and i was intrigued. we met through rp stuff and were friends then when she started playing him, aaand of course i watched the show and started rping snafu with her and the rest is history.
in terms of characters i kind of slept on on first watches and didn't warm up to until reading fic/being involved in fandom, i feel like the biggest ones are johnny and bull. i'm lowkey very fond of them both.
