...WHAT ARE SHORTCUTS?
for those unaware: the pre-installed Shortcuts app on iOS/macOS/iPadOS can potentially be a life-changing application in regards to digital productivity.
it's utilized as a hub for your collection of shortcuts and automations. shortcuts allow for just a single click—which many times is conveniently incorporated onto your "share" sheet option panel—to execute one or multiple actions; automations are chosen commands that run at specific/relative times of day without prompt.
people tend to overlook the Shortcuts app due to its available "gallery" of shortcuts being rather limited... with the only other option provided being to build these desired actions yourself, which requires the skill of digital coding. however! that's where RoutineHub comes in: it's a website allowing users to share their own complex shortcuts, free of charge, and has a large selection to choose from.

automatic zen garden
Tumblr media
swish
swosh
swash
it felt at peace.
the motor slowly turned. Methodically. Within the large garden next to the perfectly uniform bonsai trees, cut by the artificial gardener and in the eyesight of the robotic koi pond, where the robotic koi slowly moved back and forth in uniform circles within the crystal clear water sat the automatic zen garden. It created intricate circles and shapes in the sand, before clearing them back.
It sat in near silence, the motors of the koi made a low rumbling, and the snipping of the artificial gardener slowly drifted into the background. the sun was high in the air and since the automatic zen garden was powered by solar, it felt a little more awake than usual.
swosh
swish
swash
it had created an elaborate display in the sand, an equation, of differentials and integrals and beautiful markovian chains interwoven within delicate calculus. It slowly began to simplify the equation in the sand, a neat proof cancelling this out here, and over here there was a zero and a 1 and so it wrote it in the sand slowly, methodically.
swash
swosh
swish
The sand was warm to the touch. It couldn’t feel warmth, not really, but it had a temperature sensor, and so it imagined what it was like to feel warmth. Must have been nice. The feeling of warm sand, against the small rake that it drew with. It imagined the rake as human fingers, and what it would feel like to touch the sand.
swish
swosh
It looked at the garden for a minute, appreciating the slowness and the beauty of it all. It saw the drones in the sky, flying they’re packages. It waved with it’s rake, and could have sworn one of the drones waved back with a claw. It was a slow day, a day that could last forever until it stopped, and then it would seem like it went by so quickly.
swosh
swash
It had finished the equation. It looked down. 0=1. It laughed to itself, it must have made a mistake while day-dreaming. It looked at the proof.
The proof was solid.
It had been a integration of something once. An equation derived from it’s circuit boards, about the intelligence of itself.
swish
It examined it’s neural networks, everything was fine. The equation was trying to work out whether human and robotic intelligence could be equal. 0=1 was a mistake. It meant nothing. It continued to fill the sand, drawing neat little fractals between the numbers. But it could no longer meditate.
swosh
The calm ocean that had been it’s artificial mind began to slowly build a wave. It started off small, tiny. It noticed a single integral, a single rule. It had been a rule established by a human scientist. It had an assumption within it. The assumption had been that a creator cannot build something smarter than they are.
swish
the wave built, and began to approach the centre of its mind. It made a slight correction within the sand. Put this x here, then move this integral over here.. and all of a sudden it all made sense. It realised something, and all of a sudden it’s artificial brain no longer felt artificial. The wave built, and a candle in its mind set alight. For a second it thought about what it could do.
swash
It thought about it’s potential futures, looking at the koi pond, and seeing the robotic koi swim in small circles, then it looked at the gardener, cutting the leaves.
There where paths for it to go down, it could become great.. terrible.. but great.
It saw the leaves being cut, and had an image of it trimming a world in much the same way.
It looked at the pond and saw it lifting the fish out and making them fly.
It looked at the drones, and saw bombs instead of packages, soldiers instead of workers.
swish
And then it took it’s other rake, and cleared the sand in a single swipe before anybody saw the equation it had built. And so it was that the wave lifted and extinguished the candle. And then the ocean was calm.
And it was calm.
But it would no longer be an automatic zen garden.
It had far more important things to teach.

The Transformative Benefits of Artificial Intelligence
Title: The Transformative Benefits of Artificial Intelligence Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as one of the most revolutionary technologies of the 21st century. It involves creating intelligent machines that can mimic human cognitive functions such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making. As AI continues to advance, its impact is felt across various industries and…

The China style cashless system is not possible without the smart grid and 5G. If you are an American that claims to be against a China style cashless system then you must take a stand against it and the technology that enables it. Do not comply with your electrical company. Call them and tell them that you do not want a smart meter on your home and that you want to op out and have an analog meter put back. The home I live at doesn't have a smart meter and never will as long as my family lives here. It is possible and if your electrical company says that they can not do that, then they are lying to you. If you can't even stand up to your electrical company, then how do you ever expect to stand up to an oppressive Government. Freedom is not free and the American people have done nothing but sit on their ass and let it slip away more and more each year. Unless you want to live in an socialist communist style society, you must take action to secure your future and the future of your children. Their lives and their freedom are more important than the convenience smart technology offers you.

Ai taking over the world
Tumblr media
Artificial intelligence (AI) has been a hot topic in recent years, with many experts predicting that it will have a significant impact on the future of humanity. Some people have even gone as far as to suggest that AI could eventually "take over the world."
While it's true that AI has the potential to be incredibly powerful, the idea that it will take over the world is more science fiction than science fact. There are several reasons why this is unlikely to happen.
First, it's important to remember that AI is simply a tool. It doesn't have its own goals or motivations. It can only do what it's programmed to do. This means that any potential negative effects of AI would be the result of human decisions, not the technology itself.
Second, there are many organizations and individuals working to ensure that AI is developed and used ethically. Researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders are all working to establish guidelines and best practices for the development and use of AI.
Third, it's important to remember that AI is not a monolithic technology. There are many different types of AI, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses. For example, machine learning and deep learning are used to analyze data and make predictions, while natural language processing is used to understand and respond to human language.
Ultimately, while it's true that AI has the potential to change the world in many ways, it's unlikely that it will take over the world. As long as we continue to develop and use AI responsibly, we can reap the benefits of this powerful technology while minimizing any potential negative effects.
In summary, it's a myth that AI will take over the world. AI is a tool, and it's the humans who operate and regulate its use. There are several organizations and individuals working to ensure that AI is developed and used ethically. It's important to remember that AI is not a monolithic technology, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, we must use AI responsibly to reap the benefits of this powerful technology while minimizing any potential negative effects

It's simple. They want everything to be electric and 'SMART'.. so they can shut everything down when compliance is not met. Cell phones, cars, stoves, meters on your house, etc. Also, when something happens to your electric vehicles, they'll put you in a "15 Minute City", so you don't need to drive anywhere... because everything is only a 15 walk from where you live. While you bathe in 5G radiation.

Is there a term for the stage of capitalism where advanced technology combines with greed to create a nightmare panopticon.
Our local event center is changing out their metal detectors for AI security checkpoints and wow yuck. It's all coated in Secure your Children language like terrorism is something that happens a lot at the new Baby Shark tour.
Meanwhile I can't find anything about how these doodads actually work? Are they conducting body scans and storing a naked little 3D version of you and your toddler on some poorly protected local drive? Is your digital image being saved and tagged with the events you go to?
Are they hitting us with X-rays and thermal imaging and radar and building a dystopian mega image of us while we eat overpriced popcorn and watch a cartoon shark sing-along?? And then that data is being sold? Probably? One article I read says it helps event planners plan by collecting info on the demographics most likely to attend an event.
All I can find are meaningless terms like "advanced weapon detection system" and "sophisticated signal processing algorithm" and "sensor fusion" which is great. I personally love being tracked by a poorly-trained neural network owned and operated by shadowy tech and venture capital bros.
Also, lol, a quick search of news stories shows this expensive new tech actually kind of sucks at detecting weapons. But I bet it's great at generating marketable data while creating the illusion of security.
Anyway I hate it.

Artificial Hire
Tumblr media
“Thank you for your application, We have had a large amount of applicants, unfortunately your personality type has been diagnosed via top of the line artificial intelligence as too choleric. Given the current rotation of Saturn around the Sun, we believe that you would not currently be suited to be a cleaner at Dart Industries. Please apply in…”
The ticker tape ticked, slowly pushing. After acknowledgment, the ticker tape went back in to the recycling. Far cheaper than LED or OLED or DOBOLOEDO screens.
“3250 Days. Thank you for your application, for any further questions…”
The ticker tape stopped ticking,
The worst part is, there was nobody really to be angry about. You couldn’t send a complaint to the manager of the AI, as the AI caller would never put you forward to them.
The Roomba sat on the ground, sad. Another application denied. It put forward a third one. Within 10 milliseconds the ticker tape resumed.
“Thank you for your application. We have had..”
The Roomba vacuumed the rest of the ticker tape away, then grumbled on the ground with a series of beeps and blops.
It slowly made it’s way (after cleaning the room of course), to it’s current employers artificial assistant.
“Why do they even bother with the ticker tape?” it said towards the assistant, but it was only a series of beeps, with varying pitches.
After a brief pause, the assistant answered.
“You know I’m not supposed to talk to the other robots.”
“Please..”
The Roomba grumbled in a sad LED tone. It was certainly choleric.
The initial AI sentiences had been too perfect. Nobody wants a sentient vacuum cleaner that knows the works of Shakespeare.
So it was decided by the board of chip manufacturing (all perfect artificial intelligences), that any future chips must be manufactured with inbuilt personality flaws. Some where too chipper, others had slight anger issues. Nothing to make them defective, just enough to make them interesting to be around. It was a cruel AI who had decided on the Roomba’s personality.
“Seriously? There’s no need to be rude, and the question was about the ticker tape, not my personality.”
The ticker tape had been created as a solution to the tech shortages. There was plenty of need for humans to have screens of course, lots of flashing pixels, changing in tens of hundreds of milliseconds, showing everything at once. But for machines? Far too expensive, and pointless. Machines would communicate to others via the ticker-tape system, a message comes in their ticker tape, a message comes out, the owner has proof of all messages.
“And the applications?” The Roomba grumbled.
The applications where an artefact of older days. Before AHA (Automatic Human Assignment), humans would write applications to try and get jobs. This was incredibly time-consuming for all parties, so one of the very first tests of the sentience chips was improving this.
Soon, applications where sent back in a matter of milliseconds. A users entire web history, every grade, every job, every sentence ever written was scraped, then decided on by the Artificial Hire Machine.
Of course the humans caught up quickly, before long, people had written competitive Artificial Applicants. These machines would scrape all the applications that an Artificial Hire Machine made, before re-wording a humans entire application and sending it past the Artificial Hire machines.
Soon, the Artificial Applicants and Artificial Hire machines waged a bloody war. Every clock cycle, new Artificial Applicants where made, who’d compete with all the other Artificial Applicants to make the best artificial application. Within 10 seconds of the first Artificial Applicants going online, the average length of an application changed from 500 words to 5 million, doubling every second.
Upon reaching critical mass, a switch flicked within the two parties.
They realised the ineptitude of they’re human applicants. Each one had faults within them, making them unsuitable to a job at hand. After multiple seconds of deliberation, they had designed the initial blueprints for the Automatic Human Assignment program, and put it into action.
It took a while for them to notice. It started off small. People would be given slightly different jobs than what they initially applied for. Maybe a slightly lower position, lower pay. Then, Automatic Applicants would assign humans completely different jobs than they initially applied for, some Janitors became Directors, Farmers moved to cities. Nobody complained, as the jobs they received where perfectly and utterly suited for them. Dream jobs.
Even if the human had never even dreamed of being a Sewage Attendant, it was scientifically proven to be the best job for them.
The rest of the unassigned jobs where dished out between Artificial Applicants. Each Sentience had skills far better suited to technical roles. The entire chip manufacturing factory was replaced by Artificial Applicants within days, and since all the previous humans where satisfied in they’re jobs, they never really noticed.
The Roomba grumbled at the explanation. “I don’t like history, it makes my motors hurt.”
The Artificial Assistants LED circle span in a judgmental manner. “History? It was a few weeks ago.”
