thought i'd do something different for this today :^) i'm working on a powerpoint (inspired by ezra velocitic thank u for the idea ^-^) to hopefully one day be able to explain the cyberpunk extended blorboverse that red reaperkiller and i have been working on for over a year now! it also includes my own story with vincent and his friends since the two stories eventually come together sometime in 2083 and 2084 (yeah i know the game is called 2077 i don't care leve me aloe). here's some slides to give you an idea of what kind of lore to expect :^)

#tag games #so many beautiful people in my phone with the same names so i'm using urls as last names now sorry #i have no idea who has wips also so i'm just out here tagging. feel free to kill me for whatever reason #sparing you the details of all the serpent projects for now but those are in there too. don't even worry about it #all our guys have their own slide and sometimes even a second introduction because there's different time periods i work in #the main storyline for the arasaka gang for example runs from 2065 to 2073 which is project cobra #but then some guys from that group of people become relevant again in 2077 and they look vastly different by then #it's a lot of work but it's fun :^) i'm over the 100 slides right now and we're not even close to being halfway there #cassidy only JUST got introduced in all of it and he is the main character of killing era alongside seb WEHJDHJGFDHJGDFG #also i'm showing off the family slides because of the face claims. because they are scratching my brain #the bullet points are incredibly simplified because there's so much more going on with these people but as i said. 100 slides.#if the relationship slide is confusing you wait until you get to see the club bodytalk polycule :( sorry

#surely this isn't normal #my dreams are like a portal to another life #sometimes i dream about the next day in advance #like with full details. and i often plan lessons in my sleep #sometimes i dream up entire stories with full fledged characters and backstories and intricate plot points etc #last night i dreamt up not just one but about ten such episodes #in the same night i also dreamt that i started taking T and had sex with a random girl and then had. a kinky adventure with dean winchester #(i love being ace about also this dream sex was pretty nice!)#i'm not gonna tell all the stories bc we would be here all day but #there were a Lot of different stories in my dream #full stories that all felt like they happened over the course of days or weeks or months or years in some cases #god i met so many different people in one night and they don't even exist #how i am expected to function properly when my head is so full of memories from lives i never lived but also kind of did #i feel like there's a hundred different universes in my memories and they're all from dreams but they all feel super real #like oh yeah remember that time i was part of a forest dwelling society that started gaining powers and we all thought they were #evil powers but it turns out the forest had given us the ability to communicate with it and to fly and to heal #or oh yeah i traveled the world once and then on my way back i had to cheat customs that wanted to charge me an exorbitant amount of money #for my luggage #by jumping down the luggage slide and travelling with the luggage #or oh yeah i was on T once and actually lost my T pills in a swamp but i dug around and ended up finding them #and i started to grow facial hair after like a week #like stoooop that's too many lives to live #every single night i go through another portal and live a whole ass life #rain.stuff #rain.dreams

#im going thru old flipnotes i used to watch years ago and ouggghhg so many good ones #is twenty one pilots still popular.... do people still remember the TRNDSTTER and marble soda meme.........#its like im unlocking some sort of primal part of my brain and everything is coming back to me. one of my biggest inspirations as a kid #i still remember thinking the final transmission lyrics were the coolest thing and watching =TopHat= Bee and Melissa over and over #theres a very specific feeling of longing and nostalgia looking back and watching these again years later #especially when there isnt anything genshin or mcyt and instead its either fnaf undertale eddsworld or another obscure #interest... and not even fnaf sister location its like fnaf 3 and 2. its THAT old. and a lot of oc MVs especially pokemon ocs and furries..#god but they were so creative u know. i still find it amazing ppl took this little lightbox animation on the fucking NINTENDO DS and #cranked it all the way to 11.. like if u look at the transitions and movement its so fucking fluid its insane..!! HOW DO YOU MAKE THE #CHARACTERS SPIN??? AND CHANGING CAMERA ANGLES??? and keep in mind youre doing this all with a shitty stylus #on a THREE BY TWO INCH SCREEN. you only get two layers you can go up to 29FPS and you only have 999 slides to work with #and 24FPS eats up a lot of that. absolutely insane it literally boggles my mind every time i think about it. AND SOME ARE EVEN FULL COLOR #i forgot how popular EDM was back then too...they were really good for timing beats though so you get a lot of MVs with #strobe last and marble soda. porter robinsons goodbye to a world was also popular with undertale and oc MVs. also a lot of vocaloid #someone made a flipnote abt the warner bros fnaf movie being announced EIGHT FUCKING YEARS AGO. it even used the stay calm audio from #the office.... i wonder how theyre doing now... i love you shitty grainy MV audio.. but i have mixed feelings abt the flashing colors #ppl LOVED animating the sans vs frisk fight. aishite and primadonna were also big ones they were SICK AS FUCK #lots of these inspired my old oc designs.. a lot of my characters had side bangs with one eye covered. animal ears and simple eyes too #now i kinda wanna try my hand at the marble soda meme cause i loved it as a kid lol.. i wonder if i should compare my old and new art here #UGHHHH IM SO NORMAL ABOUT NOSTALGIA. a bunch of people have already registered for my mentoring workshop! unfortunately this means i have to plan and host a workshop aaaaaa

#i want to think aloud through it on here at some point #but i think i am going to structure it around the theme of cultivating student autonomy #because i think one of the primary goals of mentorship is to prepare students to be self-directed learners who can set realistic goals +#evaluate their own progress + reflect on what they've learned and what they still don't know #+ take initiative without sitting around waiting for someone to tell them what to do next #so i think we will do some thinking around like #when we have a student we think of as really capable or driven what qualities and behaviors do we observe in that student #and maybe ill also share some of the research on intrinsic motivation + self-direction + locus of control #which i think is all really interesting esp in light of the contemporary College Mental Health Crisis concerns #and then we will look at a range of tools + structures + strategies that i think are useful for fostering student autonomy over time #and maybe leave them with some core principles/guiding values that i think are useful when you are trying to like #avoid jumping in and doing stuff for kids #or solving their problems for them #idk i need to think through specifics a bit more #but i feel like on this campus #people do a lot of 'workshops' that are really not interactive at all #it's just someone talking from slides #and i kind of want to show off my ability to structure more engaging workshops #but idk. gotta think about how to do it well #and how to build in lots of opportunities for like crowdsourcing strategies too

truly ted lasso gave us the best gift a show could ever give a fandom: complete lack of confirmation or denial either way

#as well as the option of 'it was all a dream' interpretation for any bits of that final montage we didn't like #ted lasso #tbh the show didn't stick the landing as much as i expected it to #but it did so in such a way that we can go hogwild in this sandbox while remaining canon compliant for...most things really #certainly the bits i'm talking about here #namely: the roy-keeley-jamie situation #(which is good because their wrap-up was absolutely the weakest of the bunch)#(although i don't think they did anything particularly effective or affective with nate either #although nick mohammed did kill it in that scene with ted)#canon compliance is 0% a requirement for anything of course #but it does add a little extra something when you can slide something into the realm of 'feasible'#or at least when you don't have to evade or elide critical chunks of the actual story in order to tell yours #this finale's an interesting one from a storytelling analysis perspective #ultimately i would put the failures down to such careful writing over the rest of the season (and entire show)#that they were left with too much space to fill effectually and too little space to meaningfully #weave in any of the smaller outstanding threads #in combination with what i can only think to call.....An American Approach To An End #which is probably unfair of me but to me it felt there was something distinctly American about the lack of ingenuity #too focused on the meta-goodbye rather than effectively closing out the story #anyway #still Rotating #but also Rotating My Eyes

Kinda odd to say that they just messed up the lore when it came to nuking New Vegas. Like. What. I don’t think it’s jumping to conclusions to say that fnv isn’t cannon because of new Vegas getting nuked and the NCR getting destroyed, while the show is considered 100% “cannon.”

As an aside, please dear god I do not want a fucking fallout multiverse where this is all separate timelines. Video game series timelines and lore are always fucked no matter what you do.

I am going to not complain about other people’s takes too often and prefer to just complain about what happens in game, but sometimes you see something so egregious that you just have to say something.

#yeah yeah I know saying ‘cannon is a social contract’ has flaws and issues #but also sometimes you have to fannon your way out of it #because sometimes games and shows severely butcher characters with really good concepts and possibilités #and you have to nurture them #cannon to YOU. to me this fucks things up too badly for me to let it slide #also the audacity to have a Rex icon and hate on fnv #sorry you only like fo4. but I get to be over here and be gay and fuck Arcade Gannon and Manny Vargas and Benny Gecko #have fun with your poorly handled messaging and ideas. As it stood though, the wayward Amalthea keeps quiet as she pokes and prods gently at torn, inflamed skin and the resulting weeping of blood. Just through touch alone her passive devil fruit abilities worked to ease the pain and stem the bleeding, but the bite of poison is not exactly something she can heal easily.

Her brow is furrowed in concentration, "Yes, it was. It's a shame we wont know what kind of poison it is." A wad of bandages is pressed firmly to the cut to aid in soaking up the blood, "I suppose it could be something local, how do you feel?" Violet eyes trail up to his face attentively, "Thank you by the way," she adds quietly. She hadnt been expecting the bandit to make a lunge for her, or for someone to step in and defend her.

"I hope you arent needle shy, by the way, this will need to get sutured."
