Biography: Back when Levia-Dragon Daedalus was still alive, he had gained a literal cult following known as the Order of the Tides. This group not only worshipped the late Sea Serpent, but also made various reforms to the law struction Daedalus had implemented. That and, as one can see by the art, there were also some unusual reforms regarding clothing. Including making dresses from Daedalus' scales.
Regardless, one of these acolytes is today's monster, Prescilla the Free Spirit, or Water Omotics in the game. She was born the daughter of Kairyu-Shin and Aquarian Alessa, and carried around a special jar that could hold and modify sea water to create various attacks.
She is a close friend to future ruler Aquarius, a.k.a. Maiden of the Aqua, and helped her take the throne after it was stolen from the murdered Kairyu-Shin. She was made the high priestess of the Order of the Tides, and conducts ceremonies to honor both Daedalus and Kairyu-Shin.

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders
2016 Screenplay by Michael Jelenic and James Tucker Directed by Rick Morales I was super excited to hear about Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders when it was announced that Adam West and Burt Ward would be reprising their roles from the 1960s series, even more so with Julie Newmar also around as Catwoman. As you have probably guessed from the large amount of campy super hero flicks TarsTarkas.NET has covered over the years, the television series that inspired many of them is a big deal, so any thing that means more of the cool magic that it was is great. It turned out better than I imagined, it’s one of the best animated films DC has put out, and they have put out a few good ones! (and a few….not so good ones!)
The film is jam packed with the flavor of the original series – wild alliteration, pop-up word balloons during action scenes, random labels on object, Robin declaring “Holy ______” every few seconds, all sorts of random bat gadgets, Batman and Robin figuring out the most obscure Riddler clues in the universe, and the ever-present incompetent police force. There are cameos from almost the entire era, really the only thing missing was Batgirl. Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson’s quiet evening at home is interrupted with the big four villains – Joker, Catwoman, Riddler, and Penguin – hijack a television show just so they can leave a Riddler clue behind. From that, Batman and robin deduce that the criminals are out to steal a duplicating ray, while Catwoman schemes to turn Batman just slightly evil so they can be united in love. But her plan fails and after one thing leads to another suddenly everyone is fighting in outer space to stop the villain’s schemes of duplicating more Earths so each one can control a Gotham City. It wouldn’t be Batman if things were that simple, and they aren’t. For Batman soon does jump to the side of the rogues, and takes over Gotham City by himself. Well, lots of himselves, thanks to the duplicating ray! It’s up to Robin and Catwoman to try to turn Batman back to the side of good before he makes a play for the entire planet!
Not only were there more Easter Eggs than a Cadbury’s factory, but Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders even had its own original story that both honored and had lots of fun with the entire history of Batman. We have our beloved campy 1960s Batman, but once under the influence, he starts acting like the darker knights of later films, disappearing while characters aren’t looking (something they verbally remark about!) and quoting Michael Keaton’s turn. Even the word balloons change, from campy sound effects like “KRAMM!” or “KER-PLOW!” to more violent words like “GORE!” and “BLUDGEON!”
Despite the “serious” turn, the film never takes itself too seriously while still being 100% consistent with the feel of the original. It’s an amazing achievement, and shows that revivals like this could work with other franchises. At one point Robin and Catwoman free a plethora of prisoners to help fight the Batman army, which allows an array of guest star cameos from all sorts of obscure villains. The other two Catwomen also show up briefly as Batman begins seeing triple (Four Krusties!), and they slam a bit of The Dark Knight Returns in a throwaway gag.
There is even a ton of great lines, just a small sample of which are below:
“An intergalactic spaceship is just another tool in a crime fighter’s arsenal.” — Batman
“The only thing a cat hates more than water is the vacuum of space.” — Catwoman
“You do want to ensure the safety of the prisoners and all that garbage, don’t you?” — Catwoman
“Holy Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!” — Robin dropping a sweat film reference!
Just pretend I quoted the entire script. Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders doesn’t hide what it is, and you will go into it knowing if you already enjoy the style or not. The only thing that could be better is if there was more, and there will be! A sequel is already in the works, and it will have William Shatner as Two-Face! Here’s hoping Batgirl finally pops up there as well! Batman 66 has gotten a lot of love the past few years, from the long-delayed DVD release to a quality comic series and now the great animated film, here’s hoping the love train continues as long as possible!
Rated 10/10 (joking logo, dinosaur, potion, special gas, so many antidotes, camera position, clowning around, signs explain everything, dancing, signs explain more than everything)

This week marks the 70th anniversary of 'I Love Lucy'. In 2013 I had the pleasure of seeing 'I Love Lucy Live On Stage' at the Broadway Playhouse in Chicago. The premise involved the re-creation of the taping of two 'I Love Lucy' episodes: 'Lucy Gets Her Eyes Examined' and 'The Benefit'. First photo, pictured left to right as our favorite foursome in this production are Curtis Pettyjohn (Fred), Joanna Daniels (Ethel), Sirena Irwin (Lucy) and Bill Mendieta (Ricky). Honestly, I went into this show with critical skepticism, but it took me only a few minutes to suspend my disbelief and relax in my 3rd row center seat as this troupe put on a wonderful performance. It was clear to me that this production was not intended to mimic 'I Love Lucy', but rather give the audience an interactive homage that celebrated this groundbreaking sitcom. I will remain forever grateful for this experience because it is the closest I will ever come to being at an actual taping of the most popular show in television history. Did you happen to see this production on tour? What were your thoughts? #lucilleball #desiarnaz #vivianvance #ilovelucy #ilovelucy #ilovelucyscenes #liveonstage #liveperformances #broadwaytheater #troupe #classictelevision #homage #happyanniversary #70thanniversary https://www.instagram.com/p/CU7tnieln9f/?utm_medium=tumblr

Batman vs Two-Face
COMING OCTOBER 10, 2017 TO DIGITAL
AND OCTOBER 17, 2017 TO Blu-Ray TM COMBO PACK & DVD
BURBANK, CA (AUGUST 14, 2017) – Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment bring together two of pop culture’s all-time heroes – TV’s original Batman and Captain Kirk, Adam West and William Shatner, respectively – to voice the title characters in the full-length, animated feature film, Batman vs. Two-Face. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will make the all-new movie available October 10, 2017 on Digital and October 17, 2017 on Blu-ray™ Combo Pack ($24.98 SRP) and DVD ($19.98 SRP).
As the sequel to the 2016 hit animated film Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, the all-new Batman vs. Two-Face finds Batman and Robin back in classic 1960s action, protecting Gotham City from some of the most nefarious villains in comics history. But when the mutilated master of multiplicity, Two-Face, begins staging a daring crime wave across Gotham, the Caped Crusaders must work double-time to discover his mysterious secret identity before they can halt his evil-doing – all the while combating the likes of Catwoman, Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Bookworm, Hugo Strange and King Tut!
The late Adam West leads the star-studded cast in his final performance as Batman. The beloved actor delivers an inspired turn opposite fellow pop culture icon William Shatner (Star Trek) as the criminally conflicted Harvey Dent/Two-Face. This is only the second production of any kind to feature the two titans of the fanboy realm together. West and Shatner first teamed in the 1963 “Alexander The Great” television series that never made it past the pilot.
The cast also boasts two more pop culture icons of the 1960s. Burt Ward is back for more “holy” fun as the Boy Wonder himself, Robin, and Tony Award winner Julie Newmar reprises her role as the fiendish feline, Catwoman.
The voice cast includes Jeff Bergman (Joker, Bookworm, Desmond Dumas), Sirena Irwin (Dr. Quinzel), Thomas Lennon (Chief O’Hara), Lee Meriwether (Lucilee Diamond), William Salyers (Penguin), Lynne Marie Stewart (Aunt Harriet), Jim Ward (Hugo Strange, Commissioner Gordon), Steven Weber (Alfred, Two-Face henchmen) and Wally Wingert (Riddler, King Tut).
The core Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders filmmaking team reprises their roles for Batman vs. Two-Face.  Rick Morales (LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes – Justice League: Cosmic Clash) directs from a script by Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!) and James Tucker (Teen Titans: The Judas Contract). Tucker and Jelenic and also Supervising Producer and Producer, respectively. Sam Register is Executive Producer. Benjamin Melniker and Michael Uslan are Executive Producers.
“Batman vs. Two-Face is a must-have for all Batman fans featuring a cavalcade of his foes, and an amazing cast including two giants of pop culture, Adam West and William Shatner,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Vice President, Family & Animation Marketing. “Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is excited to bring these beloved characters to animated life, and proud to have been associated with an actor as impressive, gracious and entertaining as Adam West. We salute his extensive contributions to the legacy of the character, and we are greatly appreciative of his cooperation and support in bringing this animated film to fruition. He will be greatly missed.”

10/24/17 Lunchtime
I watched this interesting PBS video on the topic of time last night. The subject kept me up in a swirl of thoughts, confirming some of my own imaginative thoughts about time and how I think of heaven. Who knows if I'm right, but sometimes it’s fun to think of something and let my imagination run away with it. Before I share what my musings are, I’ll write this: As I was running late this morning – running late with my new perception of time, I realized this isn’t meant to be my end all, be all. This isn’t what I'm supposed to be doing: struggling to get enough sleep, feeling anxious when I oversleep though my body needed the rest, rushing to work, only to get into the formation of repetition.
To ultimately deny myself the expression of my fatigue through rest and expression of creativity to shove myself into the round hole of a static day-to-day despite being a flexible, ever-changing peg.
I want to change and grow and discover what I am fully capable of, and I will despite the unchanging infrastructure I was built and assembled into.  This is the freedom I was striving for. To create endlessly, explore endlessly, rest endlessly, experiencing time outside of the parameters of someone else’s or even society’s limitations. The work world is like a cult. We all signed up to believe this path would give us everything we need, stability for a great life. If businesses weren’t chasing money and employees following suit to chase money through a cut of the profit, we could truly exist for what we’re made to do. Some of us will never know what we’re made for, because we are helping pursue someone else’s dreams and path in life at the expense of ourselves.
I’ll show you world what I'm made of, though technically I already have.
Now for what I've learned about time and what I believe to be true. According to this video: The Past, Present, and Future all currently exist. We all just have different entry points/access points to the “Now.” If someone were visiting me from light years away now, during my now as I’m writing this, they would land at a point in time where they would meet a future Elan. Their Now is future Elan, my now is Elan writing at lunch. We have different nows and here my future would have had to have already happened for their now to take place. Same with the past. My past is someone else’s or something else’s now. My past is still happening, my future has already happened and each moment of now is just another catalogued still photograph period of time that’s being projected in the universe, and where someone or something comes in to view is irrelevant to when it took place for me, but when it takes place for them.
Another thought on time, just because I haven’t done something yet doesn’t mean that my actions already hasn’t had an effect on someone else. My actions may have already shaped the world, which someone or something is experiencing as their now. I just haven’t gotten there yet because I'm still experiencing my now.
We all experience time differently. For some of us, the minutes may linger, palpatable. There’s a weight to it, a heaviness. For others, time may scatter and whiz as if a pin ball or lightning storm. Time is a very personal experience and something unique to us like fingerprints and brain chemistry. What’s even more fascinating, as we find our truth, God has perfect timing for us, because only He knows us best, only he understands the vessel of time.
------
There’s a heat in the air that drives out sanity. I’m writing during a fall heat wave in Socal. It’s 90° at 7:34 p.m. My living room has become a sweat lodge.
I believe it was Brené Brown who said to Oprah, “we already have everything we need, we only have to access it, download it from the universe”. If someone/something else now is my future, then that means I can access my future of greatness. I am already great. I already have everything I will be given access to, I only have to stay on the path that I chose because that still frame already exists. And then after that...destruction. All my cells will entropy. Order goes to chaos, death being the inevitable result of this disorder.

“Yes, God, Yes”
We know fear before we know ourselves, who we are.
We’re running away from the person we don’t want to become, not realizing we are running straight into them. If I want to know who I am, I have to know who and what I am running from. I am never the idea of who I think I am.
Sometimes I want people to dream like I do, or at least let me dream in peace.
Every time I hear “no” from a man, it’s like I’m hearing “no” from my dad all over again. It takes me back to a place where I want to die. Recovering from Zach is like recovering from my dad all over again. It’s not an easy process, but the more and more I accept that he’s gone, the easier it gets to live and that’s why I have to go through this, the loss. Am I truly re-living it if I’m letting a little bit of it go each time. Pretty soon I’ll be new.
“I’m offended that you won’t accept my ‘no’ as an autonomous person. Because that’s who I am. I shouldn’t have to tell you I’m in a relationship with another man to get you to back off, as if that defines ownership of me. I’m the property of no one and my ‘no’ should merit more weight than another man’s especially when it comes to matters pertaining to me.” → Line for my script
The person I’m most scared of becoming is my Dad. The anger. He’s vitriolic and sometimes my own anger feels inconsolable. Does this mean I’m becoming him or that I keep myself so wound on a leash in an effort not to become him that I’m losing my grip and this anger is a result of that. Who is future me?
