THEY AREN'T THE FEARS ANYMORE!! THEY'RE DESIRES

(SPOILERS for TMA, and all of TMAGP episodes so far)

Okay, here me out

Tmagp1: Darla wants to hear Arthur's voice again. She even says: "I just couldn’t face the thought of the rest of my life never hearing him again, I had to try" and later on she even says: "But I had to know, so I went to the cemetery."

Tmagp1: RedCanary wants to know about the Magnus Institute. They want to know why it's listed under 'cleared' when there's no evidence of it. Hence why they go and explore it.

Tmagp2: Daria wants that absolute perfection. She wants to change who she is and get out of that dark place. When she talks about the thing that she felt was missing, she says, "... and that’s when I decide I need a tattoo. I had a couple already – just little things on my shin and my wrist – but I decided I needed something big. Something that really changed my look." She also mentions when talking about Ink5oul that "they just kept pressing me about my life, about why I wanted the ink" instead of asking what design she wanted. And when she got the tattoo she describes herself as now being, "Someone I wanted to know more about." Afterwards she even says how "For the first time ever [she] wanted to attempt a self-portrait. Something real and physical, [she] wanted to feel the brushes in my hands and the oil on [her] fingertips." I think a lot of her statement is about her desire and impulsive need for that perfection and that wholeness that she has been aspiring to for her whole life.

Tmagp3: Samuel wants to stay hidden. He wants and he "need[s] to get up, get out of here for treatment." He wants to get better and most of his delirious thoughts are the things that he wants, or feels like he needs. E.g. "I so much want to see it [the sun] again. This night seems endless. I want to be warm again. I am terribly afraid. Thank god for Maddie. I need to treat her better."; "I just need to rest."; "I need to be careful or we’ll drift apart." And then obviously as the narrative continues, Samuel wants to grow and 'put down roots'.

Tmagp4: The narrator wants to be revered and accepted into the Royal Court Orchestra of the Palatinate. He wants to show off and impress. The violin "was a creature with needs and purpose of its own. The needs were simple enough. Blood. Flesh." It has these needs and desires.

So far, I'm interpreting it to be that everything so far can be interpreted as a desire of sorts, varying in the strength and intensity of it. Obviously, fear is still a big part of it all, because if you want something so badly, aren't you afraid of it being stolen from you? Of it being out of your grasp? Of it being unachievable or impossible in some capacity? Of it being a lie?

Even Sam wants to find out more. He wants to know the why and the reason for things. Gwen wants Lena's job. Collin wants to fix all these bugs and keep Freddie running. Alice wants to just get on with it because she found out that wanting to know the 'why' of things is dangerous.

I think that somehow when the Web took all the Fears into a different universe, they morphed into something else. Or they changed to fit what was the most prevalent thing in that universe, because after all, everyone wants something, even if it's something small and inconsequential. Life and aspects of it has always been characterised by that desire for something. Like people wanting food, shelter, safety, love, warmth, happiness, etc. And I think since the Web was so intwined with Jon and Martin, it absorbed some of their emotions when it found its way into this new world, because after all Jon and Martin wanted to stop Jonah/Elias, to stop the apocalypse, to destroy the Panopticon, to be safe, and they wanted each other. I think the wanting and fear of things are really entwined in it all, though this could be absolute bullshit haha

Isaac enjoys his morning runs and he asked Vincent to join him. Knowing that they are related, their dynamic is more casual now, and over the week they have grown a strong bond. During their warm-up, Vincent opened up about his heart and how he can't do high-intensity workouts, "No worries, we'll take it slow," Isaac gave him a thumbs up.

Their relationship was still kept hidden and they discussed it while jogging. "I'm fine with meeting your Mum, but telling Renee? You said she's a detective," Isaac frowned. "We can't keep this secret. Telling everyone we know is the right thing to do," Vincent sighed. "I know you wanted us to find the truth about Dad...alone. But having detectives on our side will be an advantage. You can trust me on that."

I’ve been relistening to The Magnus Archives (again) and I think that The Unknowing (the Stranger’s ritual) could have actually worked

Spoilers ahead

We know that the Eye’s ritual worked because the use of the Archivist (the Archive) as the focal point allowed all the entities to come together, acting as an overarching ritual of all the Fears, instead of just one. The Archivist had to be touched by each of the fears in order for it to work.

In The Unknowing, the focal point was an old gorilla skin which was destroyed and replaced by Gertrude’s skin. Gertrude was an archivist for decades and was almost certainly touched by all of the fears. Using her as a focal point for the Stranger’s ritual (whether they knew it or not), would have the same effect as including each of the fears as they came together. This would also explain why Elias would be motivated to stop this particular ritual even knowing that they all fail, after they took Jurgen and Gertrude’s skins.

This is all to say that I don’t think Tim’s sacrifice was just for him. He did save the world by avenging his brother.

If decarabian was a gamer he would have the most decked out setup imaginable. 2000+ dollar custom keyboard where nearly everything but the internal components are made of solid gold. Top-of-the-line pc entirely encased in various ornately decorated gemstones. He would have at least five monitors (bonus points if they also double as surveillance monitors.) His gaming chair would in fact be a literal throne. At times he thinks that video game logic must surely apply to real life mortal human logic as well and vastly overestimates how durable most humans are.

My theory about Bella Goth's disappearance

Oh hell no, I can't see my wife while my eyes are closed…

Recently, I thought about numerous theories about why Bella Goth disappeared of Strangetown, and I actually have my own, let me tell ya.

First, i found 2 pretty famous theories:

- Bella Goth was abducted by aliens, under the order of the Caliente sisters and Don Lothario, was released in Strangetown, ran away to Lunar Lakes (Sims 3), had a girl there and died of old age.

According to me, there are truths and wrongs in both theories. Let me start to explain.

About Morty and Bella

APS said that things were not going well between Mortimer and Bella because she was unfaithful (romance asp), because they can't belong together if we try to get Bella back, and because he quickly started to date Dina Caliente. Another thing, in the PSP game, Bella tells us that she married Morty only for his money and she stayed for free television (i don't know how to traduce that, in french we say "câble gratuit", she can watch premium channels on TV, for free).

I don't think so.

First, if she was unfaithful, Morty would have memories about it. If they were separated, Cassandra would remember this. I think Bella's romance aspiration should be interpreted as she is not interested in seduction but she loves her husband (look, she refused Don Lothario !)

About the whole "fighting" thing between them, I could have an explanation. I was inspired by the Deathly Hallows in HP, and particularly by the resurrection stone. The story says that when the sorcerer used the stone to bring back his loved one, she was there but distant, cold, because even if she was materially there, she wasn't belonging to the living ones' world. I think this could be the same for Bella. She is there, but her relationship with Morty is not anymore, and she can't rebound because she is not totally alive. The tombstone of L&D isn't a conventional way to resurrect sims. As you could read, I mean that Bella is dead.

What about the "I married Morty for money and TV" thing ? Well, I can't believe that it's true. Remember that they were really friends since they were kiddos, they had so much in common like being paranormal lovers or their Hot Topic vibes. Let's look at the context of the revelation, she is horrified, she wants desperately to leave the city. She is even ready to give you a whole house for a few bucks ! Guys, she's not in her right mind, and I think we all would be like this if we were abducted by aliens, released in an unknown place where there are ghosts, monsters, zombies, a neighbour who kills her husband without being bothered and this freaking cop who eats trashy donuts.

So what about Nina, Dina and Don ?

Ding dong, here come the taxes !

The story of Dina and Nina calling their alien mates to get rid of Bella so Dina can seduce Morty and take all his money is extremely known by Sims 2 players. Buuut, there's something wrong in this theory. Yes, Dina and Nina are 25% aliens since their dad is born from an alien abduction. But the dad is actually more human than alien, and since he never met aliens again, how the girls are supposed to contact aliens ? Moreover, why would aliens keep contact with like ALL OF THEIR HYBRID BABIES ? Of course Dina is a fortune asp girlie but I don't think she could plot a way to get rid of Bella. Nah, I think it's just a matter of life in which Dina saw a good opportunity to earn more money (I don't think also that she killed Michael Bachelor, even if she cheated on him with Don, she was in love with him). My theory about that is that she was stucked with a lot of debts, and right after she heard about Bella's disappearance (according to me, this would not take long, even if Bella's brother is dead, she still is the only relative alive for the Goth family), she moved in Pleasantview, like a nasty parasite attracted by the smell of fresh flesh… 😈

POV : You're Don Lothario and you kinda miss your maid's work

What about Donnie, uh ? Well, let's take a look at his situation. Don work in medecine career as an intern (pray for every poor girl this gross man was "treating"…), so he makes almost 600§ a day. He is NOT poor at all. And since he doesn't aspire to money but romance, why would he marry a rich girl just for the money and make more difficult for himself to hook up around ? Being engaged to Cassie is literally a bad memory !! So why did he proposed ? Well, you can see that dear Donnie and Cassie haven't ever "played doctors", surely because Cassie wants to wait for after marriage, and Don is bitchy enough to marry Sandra, or just engage, just to put her in his hunting table.

Soo, what i'm tryna say is that Dina and Don (yep, because Nina has nothing to gain from this so i don't think she's involved), at the beginning, didn't have any intention of hurting Bella. But, now that they are into their own plans, Bella reappearing would be catastrophic for them. Not only because she would return to her place in her household and in Morty's heart, but also because she could ruin Don's relationship with Cassie with these few words : "He tried to F me first". In conclusion, if Bella returned to Pleasantview, Donnie and Dina would seriously have to get rid of her immediately.

If the guilty isn't Morty, Don or Dina, who abducted Bella ??

Easy question, I'll give an answer very quickly : Aliens

Aah, the sweet taste of deception, but wait, the tea is boiling.

But let's take things as they are. Bella was fascinated by paranormal since her childhood. And fun fact, with Sims 3 Generation, if we try to ask her to go to prom with her, she can refuse, saying that aliens may abduct her.

Bella is a very gorgeous, smart and charismatic woman, it's totally understandable that aliens would want to abduct her and mix their genes with her perfect ones. If I was an alien I would totally want to abduct her (yep, she was one of my first lesbian character crush, who else ??). So, that night Bella disappeared, she was just looking at the stars with Don's telescope and *BAMF* alien abduction, babe ✨

If she was simply abducted by aliens, why she can't go back? Why she is in Strangetown? Why the hell did you say that she's dead ?

Well, you know that there are actually two Bella Goth. One from Pleasantview that is missing. AND one in Strangetown, as a townie, and quite different than the first one.

Indeed, this one has no memories, a different face AND a mess around her name.

If in the original version and a lot of traductions, Pleasantview Bella and Strangetown Bella both share the same name, there are 3 versions where her identity is changed.

- In French, where Pleasantview Bella Goth is "Sonia Gothik", Strangetown Bella Goth is named "Kathy Lalouche" (French version of Kitty Curious, the mother of Pascal, Vidcund and Lazlo). Same thing in Thaï.

- In simplified Chinese, they kept Pleasantview Bella's first name for Strangetown Bella's but changed her last name for the Curious equivalent. Lot of simmers say that it's a mistake made by traducers. But with the same Curious family? And when we are checking ST Bella's datas, we can see that she recognises Vidcund as her sibling, and Jill and John Smith (Jenny Curious/Smith's kids) as her nephews. Vidcund and Jenny also consider her as a sibling. So now you can understand that this name thing is not a random fact. And this plus physical differences, we can conclude that these women are not the same.

What happened to Bella?

Since we can meet real Bella in Strangetown on PSP, we can assume that she ACTUALLY WAS in Strangetown. But what we forgot is that she is alone, no Curious family around her, and more important : she wants to leave the town.

I think that's the last time we have news about her.

Yep, in Sims 3 Ambitions' time travel machine, we can learn that Bella Goth became an alien queen in the future. But sorry not sorry, that's not our Bella. Why would she become a queen of people that traumatized her?

We also learn in Sims 3 world Lunar Lakes that she died there of old age. But it doesn't make sense for two reasons:

- I think that Lunar Lakes is like a very far future. Yep, she could have drank youth serum AGAIN, but where would she find this in freaking Strangetown desert, far from her scientist husband ?

- Why THE HELL would she travel to the FREAKING MOON, when she could just go back to her family and live a kind of normal life far from paranormal and alien things. Little reminder, Strangetown is on Earth, since as a player, we can go into and out of this city, Bella could totally take a bus, or ask tourists to transport her back to "civilization".

SO, FINALLY, HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED TO BELLA AFTER HER ABDUCTION.

Two Bella were released in Strangetown. One is our Bella. She immediately left the Curious' spaceship area, found an abandoned house where to live and lived on the money she had in her pockets (I refuse to assume that a rich lady like her doesn't go out of her house without cash or credit card, idk) and maybe work. But quickly, she found out about Strangetown's weird things and ran away. She met our character at Mambo Loa's Market, sold us her house for all of our money and left, using the money to buy a ticket bus or just ask gently to kind tourists. After a loooong journey, she finally came back to Pleasantview, all happy with the idea of seeing her husband and her children back aaand met Dina and Don, who got rid of her immediately. That's how she died. And since she died in secret, Grim Reaper can't resurrect her, and when we try to invoke her by Tombstone of L&D, she acts so weirdly. Here is the tragic end of Bella Goth.

And what about "Bella Curious" ? Well, she is a clone of Bella Goth, made by aliens and released in Curious' house/spaceship area. Because they are kinda friends with aliens. They "raised" her and treated her like family, in a alien lover's environment.

But why would aliens do that ?

There is this theory that I love very much from Gonz, I'm sharing his Tik Tok down this paragraph. But it basically says that Sims games take place at different periods of time, on a same timeline (Sims 4 doesn't count, EA ruined everything 🤢), and this timeline lands on a tragic end : a doomed future, where aliens have invaded Earth.

But with this theory on mind, don't you wonder how they took power on Earth?

And don't you wonder how "Bella Goth" became Queen of Aliens ?

What if "Bella Curious" had a task on earth, being a kind of a spy for aliens. And since she is beautiful, charismatic and very intelligent, people would just bend the knee in front of her (Actually I, would bend the knee for her…) She filled her mission successfully, and since alien people owe this extraordinary human clone everything, they made her their queen. And, why not, took her to the Moon where she could live her old days peacefully and die of old age.

I found out from one of the developers of The Sims 2 (I don't remember the name, but the one who posted so many curiosities on Twitter) that the initial plot of the game was that some of the premades sims had been replaced by alien clones and the player had to find out who they were.

The idea was later discarded because it required too much programming work.

Now, maybe I'm saying crazy things, we know that the sim clones we know (the clone of Skip, Darleen and Nervous) surely exist because they got badly corrupted for the spaghetti codes of the EA, but what if the three of them were initially among the "impostor aliens" and working on them to create this weird plot has... corrupted them?

As easy as the game is to corrupt and we have seen so clearly how sims get easely corrupted (be it because they have outdated data or because the codes explode) is there really not the slightest chance that those three clones got corrupted just because the EA was trying to program this plot?

Think about it. There are a trillion corrupt dead sims, but EA never recreated them to replace the corrupt ones in the family tree. Many sims are different from their beta appearance (e.g. even the Caliente sisters are not the same Caliente as the beta images) but only Skip, Darleen and Nervous have clones.

Let's ignore Nervous, he was recreated because he was needed alive for the plot and certainly they had problems resurrecting him because before University I believe that sims could not be resurrected. Then maybe I'm wrong, I don't know if it was already possible in base game with university pre-patch.

And maybe trying to connect him somehow to the Grim Reaper also made it worse with his beta sim and then they figured out how to do it without blowing everything up with the Nervous of now, I don't know.

Let's also ignore the Strangetown's Bella, we know she was recreated because they couldn't connect Pleasantview and Strangetown (although that she is an alien clone is the absurdly more convincing theory since she doesn't have the same face as Bella from Pleasantview, but maxis says that the two of them are the same person)

But Darleen and Skip... what was the point of recreating them? What was the use of recreating two deceased sims?

Darleen was not needed, she could remain dead and corrupt like all the other deceased sims, Skip could possibly be used for Brandi's unborn baby genetics but... Brandi's pregnancy is unlinked from both Skips. (and from what the developer said, this is a bug that for some reason they never managed to fix and Brandi always gave birth to a male clone of herself)

The green eyed skip is that of the "beta" images but IS NOT the ""DNA""" father of Dustin and Beau. Dustin and Beau have blue eyes and have the genetics of the second Skip. (but surely like almost all premade sims, Dustin and Beau were created in CAS and don't really have anyone's genetics, just the "colors")

So most likely Dustin and Beau were also recreated along with the second Skip, but... it's also weird that Beau has very strange genetics. He has a very strange facial structure.

All this remains my personal theory, but if it's too absurd you can still use it as a plot to spice up your gameplay...

Ok, ok, got a new theory.

What if Olive is just unlucky? Like in her Sims 3 traits? She never killed anyone, she just had the misfortune of always being the witness, in the middle of nowhere, in the desert what its left to do? Call to remove the bodies and God knows if others will experiment on them? Or try to give them a bit of dignitiy and empathy by burying them, to try to make the horrible experience in something "less threatening" like a garden?

But why did she kept that image for so many years? It is to get a well known name in Strangetown? To be invited to parties as stated at the top of her Slacker career? Or maybe to prevent people to approaching her house?

Let's say, even if you are an evil scientist, do you think you'll go to the House of a Killer to claim your Test subject back or to kidnap a teenager from a family close to Death? Will you risk dying yourself in order to do so?

uhh

here's my take on a bit of (game) michael afton lore

tw: depression, thoughts of suicide, poor mental health, and the rest of the warnings that go with fnaf

mike was once more or less a good kid - he had good grades (he was an afton, of course) and while he caused a bit of trouble here and there he was usually an agreeable kid and a pleasure to have in class.

after the bite, he couldn't cope with the grief of literally killing his baby brother, and he fell into depression. he became horribly introverted, his grades dropped quite quickly, and he started rebelling and lashing out a lot more. he would hang out with the very wrong people just to gain some semblance of control over his life, and once he tried drugs and smoking, he just felt like shit, which just threw him into an even deeper spiral.

mike's relationship with his father crumbled quickly, both from the fact that mike had literally killed his brother, and that now william was busy killing kids.

elizabeth's death hit them both extremely hard - william officially gave into insanity, and michael, slowly putting the pieces together, saw william as a monster. he vowed he would never end up like his father.

he eventually moved out, any relationship between him and his father gone - hell, mike was scared of him at this point. he lived alone and depressed, and his mental health was not improving whatsoever. he couldn't keep a job if he tried, and suicide was actually attempted and failed. henry had reached out to him a few times, but michael never accepted. he doesn't know why - maybe, if he did, things would've gone differently.

however, when he heard of his father's disappearance, he connected the dots, and assumed death.

somehow, this snapped him out of everything. his father had gone down the dark path, destroying everything he touched, causing so much pain and suffering, and eventually died. michael had sworn to never be like william.

and thus, he vowed to turn the afton legacy around. he'd carve his own future out of the stone placed around him, live.

mike got a job at freddy's and actually kept it! once he figured out the existence of golden freddy, he realized who exactly the robots were. he freed them all, and after saying goodbye to his brother, was fired for messing with the animatronics.

he was doing a lot better mentally, actually, after finally addressing his past. he finally contacted henry, and lived with him for a good bit. they grew close.

he went down to circus baby's next. he wanted to do something similar - free her from her eternal cage. however, it had been ten years. she didn't recognize him, and whether she assumed him to be william or a random security guard, he never found out.

he was scooped, and had his organs ripped out, effectively killing his body. however, powered by the curse of being an afton and sheer sickly spite, he never vanished.

for thirty years he lived like this, a fucking corpse. he hadn't gone back to henry, as the man had disappeared, and mike instead stayed in town like a damn boogeyman.

he jumped from jobs, managing to afford rent and a decent life, never aging due to the nature of his situation.

one day, he heard about fazbear's frights. his past years had blurred and it was hard to remember where he had heard the name fazbear before, but it came back quickly, and with it, his need to take down his father.

he managed to snag a job at the location and was quickly recognized by father - from one corpse to another.

michael couldn't set his father free, that much was clear. but he would make sure he would never harm another soul again.

thus, he burned down fazbear's frights, hoping to take his father down with it.

of course, he failed. afton survived the fire, and though michael had no way of knowing it for sure, he had a feeling it would happen. but his father was nowhere to be found, so micheal continued his corpse life.

evidently, henry was still alive, to michael's surprise - a new fazbear location popped right back up in town. michael saw yet another chance, and he couldn't miss this one, not after all of this. he took the job.

he recognized everyone. his sister, his father, hell, even lefty felt vaguely familiar.

when henry first started his speech and his own fire, michael had.. a time.

he was scared at first. was he finally going to die? he had managed to evade it all this time, and now it was coming to bite him in the ass?

he came to terms with the situation quite quickly. it was finally happening, what all them had always wanted. they'd be free, and the fazbear legacy would finally be closed, locked, and lost to history, finally put to rest.

he felt a bit of petty anger at henry for taking michael arson idea, but it was short-lived.

they all died happily ever after, one murderous fursuit being tormented in eternal hell by those he tortured

and then security breach never happened
