Hmmm where do I start

I am really into Chinese bl (danmei). Most danmei are like shounen with the homoerotic undertones, except the sexual tension actually gets paid off!!!

And I say “like shounen” because, unlike Japanese BL, there’s a lot more emphasis on plot when it comes to danmei. Of course, there are also danmei focusing on romance, but the best ones have complex plots you don’t really find in shounen ai/yaoi.

Naming a few mainstream danmei, to start:

Heaven Official’s Blessing = fallen god reascends for the third time and befriends a demon king. Together, they get to the bottom of a lot of scandals in the heavenly court

The Husky and His White Cat Shizun = evil emperor is reborn to the year he was still a teen and is yet to do any evil stuff and once again has to face his loathed master (shizun) and obey him.

Little Mushroom = sentient mushroom takes over dead human body and infiltrates the human base to retrieve his stolen spore

The Earth is Online = humanity is pulled into a death game

Sha Po Lang = ancient industrial Chinese setting (steampunk???) about a prince and his Yifu + war and stuff

And some non-mainstream ones, but are my absolute favorites:

Fourth Perspective = Sci-fi where characters have “logic chains” that grant them random abilities (that may or may not be useful), but with limits. Main character’s logic chain allows him to see other people’s “logic factors”

I Became a God in a Horror Game = Guy who’s obsessed with money gets pulled into a death game and comes out victorious every time (his driving force is money). Very mindblowing arcs and well-written characters

Mermaid Effect = guy picks up “fish” on the beach and keeps it as a pet, but then it turned out to be a biological weapon

Si Tian Guan = guy who died in political drama gets reborn to the year before it all started and vows to not repeat the mistakes of the past and also protect the person most important to him. This one made me cry a lot that I still couldn’t finish it...

It’s like… these stories just happen to have gay protagonists. The characters being gay and in love aren’t their main selling points. They actually have stories to tell outside the romance and the fucking (which is often censored coz, yknow, China) and also explore a variety of deep themes, and that just makes them more interesting to me

This is where I take several characters from different Chinese media (mostly cnovels and cdrama) and run a poll on which one is the 'best'. What does best mean? It's up to you! Whether you love them, are intrigued by their characters, love to hate them, or they're your '2 second blorbos whose personality you made up wholesale', these are all reasons for you to vote for your favs!

It’s coming!!!

You might recognize most of the production team as the people who worked on the MDZS audio drama, so I’m very assured that they will only have grown more experienced. Tbh I’m a little surprised by the lead VAs...excited to hear what their performances will be like!

Even more exciting: apparently the audio drama has been adapted from the revised edition of TGCF which includes 100k extra words!!!

REVIEW: Heaven Official's Blessing/Tian Guan Ci Fu

AVISO: Tá cheio de SPOILERS, então CUIDADO!

<< REFERENTE A VERSÃO NÃO REVISADA >> Esse é o terceiro trabalho desta autora e também o mais longo. TGCF, diferente de SV que parece focar mais no emocional e de MDZS que foca mais em temáticas como perdão e superação, parece dar mais atenção nos sentimentos e relações entre os personagens. O fato do MC, Xie Lian, ter vivido por um pouco mais de 800 anos, definitivamente não é algo que pode ser facilmente superado. Tendo vivido, sentido e se relacionado com numerosos tipos de pessoas ao longo de um período tão largo de tempo, é completamente natural que ele acabasse tomando decisões extremamente difíceis ou fosse levado a danos psicológicos quase que irreparáveis. Na verdade, ainda acho incrível e realmente admirável como ele conseguiu superar e seguir em frente mesmo em meio a muitas coisas. Mesmo que tivesse momentos na atual linha do tempo em que você consegue perceber que algumas dessas feridas foram meramente tratadas, mas nunca cicatrizaram verdadeira e completamente. A maioria dos seus relacionamentos no começo estão completamente em ruínas, e não parecem ter nenhuma chance de recuperação. Mas, mesmo com tudo isso, ele ainda conseguiu, não consertar, mas sim remendar muitas feridas que foram surgindo ao longo dos anos. Os outros personagens também foram escritos e desenvolvidos de uma forma muito humana, sendo um ponto de atração sem igual na minha opinião. O que me prendeu muito nisso, foi que ninguém nessa história pode ser descrito como inteiramente bom ou mau. Todos caminham sobre uma linha tênue entre esses dois lados, lutando e fazendo o melhor que podem por si mesmos, seus entes queridos e por uma esperança de felicidade. Todas as suas decisões, ações e emoções são extremamente relacionáveis se você simplesmente se colocar no lugar deles sem ter qualquer tipo de preconceito em mente. Eles mostram que todos nós podemos chegar a um ponto sem retorno se formos empurrados ao limite. Seguindo em frente, outro ponto crucial dessa história é sem dúvidas o romance. Foi desenvolvido de uma forma muito doce. Tão doce que você acaba derretendo a cada interação. HuaLian é realmente aquele casal de conto de fadas, que tem um amor invejável e perfeito, com um verdadeiro senso de eternidade. É completamente impossível olhar para eles e não sentir que está flutuando ou ter aquela sensação gostosa de calor no peito. Para falar a verdade, acho que eles são o casal com a vibe mais fofa entre os três dessa autora. Eu diria que eles parecem aquele romance adolescente ou o gosto do primeiro amor. Aquele amor que queima, que te aquece, que não te deixa esquecer. Um amor gentil que faz você se sentir completo e totalmente acolhido. Com essa pessoa, você sente que o mundo inteiro poderia virar as costas para você e ainda assim ficaria tudo bem. Porque essa pessoa, só essa pessoa é o suficiente. Aquela pessoa que você sabe e sente que nunca, jamais te abandonaria e sempre irá estar ali por você, te dando apoio não importando o que. É assim que HuaLian faz você se sentir. É assim que eles são. Uma definição simples, doce e envolvente da palavra amor. TGCF também é uma história muito boa em termos de prender sua atenção. São várias coisas acontecendo a todo momento, esquemas bem desenvolvidos, histórias de passados a serem descobertos, novos personagens e toda uma gama de contextos extremamente atrativos, dos quais você não consegue tirar os olhos. Tudo foi muito bem escrito e trabalhado, sem nada que me parecesse insosso ou desnecessário ao longo da leitura. MXTX, para mim, é uma autora com verdadeiro talento para escrita. Tudo é muito cativante e pode atingir você com força caso escolha dar uma chance. Bom, vou parar por aqui, pois sinto que não tenho mais nada a dizer. Espero que você tente esse bebê!

No puedes dejarme.

Creo que nunca he expresado todo lo que siento acerca del ZhanYi pero me parece adecuado hacerlo ahora, que el TianMo ya esta asentado como la pareja que siempre quisimos.

Amar el ZhanYi es para masoquistas, eso hay que dejarlo claro desde un principio, porque sabemos que va a suceder, en cierto punto, un quiebre de la pareja.

Lo peor, es que lo más probable es que el ZhanYi , no sea canon hasta que ambos son adultos, a diferencia del TianMo

Vale, pero como pueden estar un poco perdid@s, algo de contexto por si no sabían o no se acordaban:

Ambas viñetas están sacadas del tercer capítulo de 19 days, exacto hace mil años.

Si nos posicionamos en el tiempo, podemos definir que la “secundaria”, es el año siguiente a este. Por lo que los chicos tienen, entre 15-16-17 años.

Old xian lo hizo algo confuso, pero desde el momento uno, se nos establece que Jian Yi va a desaparecer (hasta con fecha) y que, por lo tanto, existirá un quiebre de las relaciones de ellos.

Lo que vemos ahora, los momentos tan románticos del TianMo el drama de Jian Yi con su mejor amigo es el pasado.

Amar al ZhanYi es asumir que este no va a llegar a asentarse como el TianMo si lo hizo. Es saber que va a quedar inconcluso y que la relación de los muchachos va a quedar en stand by hasta la universidad.

Tal parece que soy masoquista, porque amo el ZhanYi.

Ahora me toca hablar del capítulo.

Primero... ! Lo llamó por su nombre completo. Una maravilla que nos demuestra la confianza que se tienen de forma mutua.

Es obvio que ZZX ya posee sentimientos románticos hacia JY, pero me encanta la lentitud que se toma Old Xian con su pareja principal (que ahora mismo parece más secundaria) para desarrollar su relación.

Porque esto nos demuestra las claras diferencias entre el modo de amar de los cuatro chicos.

Jianyi: Cariñoso y directo, pero al mismo tiempo cuidadoso y gracioso.

Zhan Zheng Xi: Inseguro y tímido, que debe darse un momento para reflexionar y no actuar de forma impulsiva.

He Tian: Directa, prepotente e intimidadora; es la pura verdad, el ha estado como un perrito detrás de Mo.

Mo Guan Shan: Evasiva y vergonzosa.

Entonces, tomando en cuenta que JY ya le dejó las cosas claras a ZZX, me parece algo demasiado natural la lentitud con la que los dos van percibiendo el mundo. En especial ZZX, que siempre vemos las cosas desde una perspectiva introspectiva; como compasa pros y contras, por el amor que le tiene a su familia y el apreció que posee con JY.

Acerca de la relación de la mamá de Jian Yi y el padre, no puedo opinar demasiado aún debido a que todavia no sabemos casi nada. Más que tal parece que la Sra Jian Yi, estuvo en una relación unilateral, ya que el padre de Jian Yi, no le contaba nada acerca de si mismo.

Supongo que Old Xian nos muestra la relación de la mamá de Jian para que hagamos un contraste en sus vidas amorosas… Como JY siempre está al pendiente de lo que quiere y piensa ZZX, en una relación con bases en la confianza mutua v/s la ilusión que maniobró el padre de Jian con la mamá.

Quiero saber más y más sobre la familia Jian. Porque, esta claro que tiene algo que ver con la mafia, y ¿quién sabe?, quizás también tenga que ver con el motivo del encarcelamiento del padre de Mo.
