Thinking about the almighty destroyer and the God of dance Shiva

The idea of him kind of... enchants me. There's a reason why a lot of Hindus are his devotee, or Shaivas. He's not just the lord of Devas (supernatural deities who somewhat had a good cause) but the Asuras (evil monsters), Shiva accepts every offering from his devotees with a kind smile— be it expensive jewels and exotic fruits from a deity, or meat from a lowly monster. If it's presented with love, he takes it. He doesn't care to look appealing wearing gold and silk (and ends up looking more appealing wtv), lives on mountain, drinks Cannabis, his entourage is all demented and distorted beings, monsters, ghosts. It's a way that you know he doesn't discriminate between any of his followers.

One thing I find very cool about him is that he grants every wish of one who does true penance for him, no matter what it is. You're a demon who wants conditional immortality? Given. He's called "Bholenaath" or the "Innocent lord" for the same reason. He goes around giving boons to mortals, devas and monsters alike, giving them just what they want. You'll face his wrath once you start misusing the powers though :D

He's the unborn, the infinity and the immortal all at once. Though, his human physique, um.... impresses me. Ravan, the egoistic king who cried his praises for a thousand years (maybe i'll tell that story someday), described his appearance as a 7 to 9 feet man covered in ashes, Ganga (the holy river) flowed from his long matted locks and the crescent moon decorated his head. Vasuki, the snake god coils around the neck of lord Shiva and he wears the skin of tiger.

Ravan describes him as a man so beautiful that his wife gives him side long glances and rejoices in his presence. He has a charming face with a third eye on his forehead that symbolizes his understanding of the fourth and further more dimensions.

So this is a small passage from what Ravan cries/sings/writes in his song of Shiv Tandav Strotam

Okay and he has a bad temper but don't worry, he's an all-forgiving— has cut heads with his trident and replaced them with another one when he's cooled down 🤩. Alright jokes aside his anger is often expressed by his dance of destruction, the Rudra Tandav which I'll roughly translate it as Rudra - anger, & Tandav - devine dance. Shiva is called Natraj (the God of dance) as his movements resemble an atom's behavior that we study today. That's the more famous dance, but there are some rather pleasant versions of his Tandav as well. One of them being his dance of grief when he saw his dead consort.

I don't even know where to start and end this from, he's got 108 names all on his physique, behavior or personality. Some of the famous ones being Natraj, Shankar (lord of all Gods), Trilochan (one with three eyes), Chandrashekhar (one who has moon on his head) and Bhairav (destroyer of fear).

oh, i agree !! i know that 207 isn't everyone's favorite ep or anything, but it is a very important one and kali is an important character. i'd love to see her and her crew again and get caught up on what's been happening with them. and honestly closing out the series without her would feel super weird to me

i think each season has been louder and louder about how they can't do things all on their own, and that they don't have to, and it would be such a wild decision to not have the only other known person with powers get involved in someway

That kinda gets into how much Layla knows. I imagine not much. Like does she know Marc even had a brother and that he died? How his mother abused him? Hell, even that she died recently? If she doesn't know any of that, I don't think she would know that he spent most of childhood into early adulthood in a psychiatric facility (like I think the show is implying)

I'm always wondering what Layla actually knows. Bits and pieces, maybe, but I don't think she knows the whole of Marc's history. We know she doesn't know Steven, and we know she's aware that Marc and his mom weren't on speaking terms. Okay so.. you guys are talking again? The way her voice immediately softens at this point, even through her anger makes me feel like she has some idea of the abuse. Maybe not the complete extent of it but something. And because of this, we know she's not aware of her death. We know her shiva was two months prior to the events of Asylum, and Marc went alone.

I think it's possible that he kept the reasons for their rocky dynamic a secret because at this point he's still feeling very much guilty and blames himself for Randall's death. Hell, he blames himself for Layla's father's death so the idea of him sharing that part of his story with his wife would just.. prove to her what he already knows and so vehemently hates about himself. And if she sees him the way he sees himself, he thinks she'll leave. Because god, he wants to leave too.

At some point I think they'd get into his past but I could see him twisting it into something different to fit his omission. Maybe he told her he went into foster care young. Maybe he told her about running away (which isn't necessarily a lie, but there's a distinct gap between Randall's death and when he finally chooses to leave as a teen.) I could also see them taking some creative liberties here (like how they made it his mother's death and not his father's like the comics) and have him in and out of psychiatric facilities, and that could factor into his decision to run away as well.

" Lord Poseidon, your S/O! They needs help, now! "

🔱 Hades, Adamas, and Zeus stood up in shock and began to run with him back to his home, scared on what had happened to you, their precious S/O-in-law

🔱 Seeing your bloody body scared him more than anything, you had a deep stab wound through your bodies, and by what he and the others knew, you were done for

🔱 Hearing you promise to marry him again in your next life made him start crying, and when he felt your last breath grace his face, all of Valhalla could hear the Tyrant of the Sea crying for the love of his life

🔱 It took a while, but he accepted the fact that you weren't going to return to him, death was irreversible, and no matter your promise, he knew it couldn't come true

🔱 Poseidon was walking through his kingdom underneath the ocean and when he walked to where you both would rest together after a long day, he froze and glared when he saw someone sitting there, in your spot

" Mortal, step aside and flee. " " You really haven't changed, have you 'Seidon?"

🔱 Shock crossed his face when he realized it was you, his S/O, but different... mortal...

🔱 You smiled at him and watched as he sunk to his knees and hugged your legs, laying his head on your lap, tears were swelling up, but he was determined to keep them inside

🔱 Once you both married again, many found it unbelievable that you were back, but they accepted it, it seemed the classic duo of Y/N and Poseidon had returned

💀 Hades sat reading papers about the deals being made between both the Greek pantheon and others, for some reason Zeus decided to make a deal with Shiva that put them out of order for a week, when a guard of Aphrodite's ran in and began to yell about you

💀 Hearing your name being brought up made him immediately begin the journey to her home in Valhalla

💀 When he saw the healers sigh and shake his head as he stared at them, his heart felt like it stopped, and it basically did, causing him to pass out cold

💀 You were gone. The only light in his life, taken from him like nothing. But you promised to stay by his side forever... you... you promised... you can't just break a promise...

💀 Unlike Poseidon, Hades never reached the final stage of grief, instead, whenever he was alone and didn't have any work to do, he moped and just looked at your wedding photo on his desk, remembering it like it happened yesterday

💀 Hades had heard of a new Goddess that was added to the Hindu Pantheon and he needed to meet with them at the next Gods' Council meeting, and when he saw you, he knew you

💀 His S/O... but you died... how?

💀 It took a while, but when your relationship became strong enough for a marriage proposal, Hades had shown you the photos from your past life, stating you and him have been together for eons

💀 Maybe you gained them at that moment, maybe it took longer, but when he heard you remembered everything, he sobbed the tears he was holding back all those years, happy you remembered, happy you were back in his arms

👑 Qin only stopped when he had seen a maid rub your head while another covered parts of your body with cloth, most of them stained red with your blood

👑 Your blood... why was your blood showing, it should't be showing!

👑 After hearing you died from an assassination, he had the guards who failed protecting you executed and ordered for the man who killed you to be brought to a slow and painful death as soon as possible

👑 He ruled for many more years until his death in 210 B.C. and he ascended to Valhalla, there, he found his kingdom, just like it always was

👑 Qin never forgot you, no matter what someone said or if something happened, he never let the memory of you go

👑 He had started his battle against Hades and he was about to get slashed to bits when he heard a voice, your voice, ring through his ears

" Kick his ass, Ying Zheng! "

👑 Looking upwards and into the booth where Brunhilde and Göll observed he saw you there, your miraculous hair flowed through the wind as your eyes shimmered with such beauty, like they did in life

👑 Qin smirked and looked at Hades before knocking him back with determination in his eyes, saying;

" Sorry Lord Hades, but I have a S/O waiting for me, and I don't wanna disappoint them. Now, let's finish this. "

so so funny to me for no reason that hreasvelgr is in e8s. obviously it’s because the fight is against shiva and it does kinda rule but also he feels so out of place. we’re on the first. obviously the fight is fake anyways but did the wol manage to perfectly reimagine hreasvelgr despite not being able to properly recreate a single primal. or are we imagining that dragons can just cross the rift whenever they like and hreasvelgr was like who the FUCK is summoning my wife again. and then he kicks our ass unprompted

[ SCENARIO ] [ Thor, Sasaki, Jack, Shiva, Buddha, Qin ]

I decided not write about about Zeus, sorry if someone wanted to read it

This take me longer that i expected! Wow! Anyway, enjoy!

Thor

He sees you waiting for him at the gods' entrance before being stoped by Lubu's army

After take care of it, he go and greet you pating you head with a sweet smile

He doesn't say much in his way to the infirmary while been followed by you, but you can tell there something diferent with him, he looks thoughtful

While his injuries were been treated he makes sure you stay by his side (the nurses don't dare ti say something about it)

After that he will tell how he would have liked to meet Lubu in other circumstances. Thor doesn't say much, but he keeps that soft expresion and smile, that human truly surprised him

After that you two stay together to see the rest of the fights, now seen the humans in a diferent way, with more respect

Sasaki Kyojiro

He was injured and bleeding, but he was smiling

After greeting you Sasaki practically fall in your arms, he doesn't have more energy, you and Hrist have to guide him to the to the infirmary to be treated

On your way he can't stop smiling and giggling, telling you how much fun he had in the fight

Both Hrist and you will congratulate him and scold him for worring you so much

After his wounds were treated you'll stay with him to make sure he rest, in the meantime he will tell you about his experience in the fight and how happy he is for his first victory

If you still worried about him and his injuries he will reassure you that he's fine, it doesn't hurt anymore.

After that you stay by his side, and with the others to see the rest of the fights. Sasaki offer you (and to Hrist too) to explain things you may not understand about the fighting techniques

When they go to help Buddha (when he meet the Gods of Fortune) he probably do it behind your back so you won't try to stop him he's too stubborn anyways

Jack the Ripper

He was injured, bleeding and people were throwing things at him and yet he walked calmly and elegantly. When he notice you in the humans' entrance he greet you with a soft smile.

In your way to the infirmary he didn't say much and he looks very thoughtful. If you offer your help he will try to denied but at the end he acepted

You wait until his wounds are treated to talk to him

When you ask him about the fight and how he feels he will tell you, but offer you some tea while both talk

This become a long talk about what happen and the colors he saw in Heracles

Its notorious that this affected him but in a good way, Jack himself expresed that he's happy to had the oportunity to met him

After his wounds were treated both of you ended up going where Hlokk she wasn't happy to see Jack but she don't force you to go away

Hlook offer you a sit and she start making a convesetion with you, that ended being she complaining about Jack, she even ask you why you are with him, to which Jack just laughed

Shiva

When he sees you at the gods' entrance he greeting you with a proud smile, as much as he would love to embrace you Shiva makes sure to keep distance (he was in fire a moment ago after all)

In his way to the infirmary he doesn't stop talking to you, asking you if you saw him fight and what did you think

While his wounds are treated you probably have to wait outsite the infirmary, but after you'll stay by his side, sitting in a comfy sofa beside him (along side with his other wifes)

Both of you will have a long chat about the fight, he had to wait long to finally fight and got excited, now he can't stop talking about it

And, for sure, Shiva will tell you how great fighter Raiden was and how he gave his best until the end

He even mentioned how he heared all your voices cheering him and that help him continue and, of course, will tease you for that

Buddha

When Buddha greet you he see how worried you was for him, he embrace you and give you a soft kiss in the forehead. On his way to the infirmary he keeps a soft smile.

His wounds were treated pretty quickly. If you were with him when he left the infirmary (with the excuse that he was bored) he just tell you to follow him, if you ask him where you're going he won't tell you. But if you weren't there he won't tell you, for sure you'll know where to find him

If you scold him for leaving the infirmary he will just laugh and tell you not to worry about it, he is fine!

He promise to take proper rest only if you stay with him, both of you ended up cuddling and eating candies

Buddha will talk about the fight just if ask, you can notice how this truly affect him, but in the end he is happy for Zerofuku (i mean he ended happy again). If you say something about how he changed to humans side he will laugh at it, to him is funny to remember it (especially the gods' reaction)

If you seem afected for this too he will reassure you that everything is fine don't worry your pretty head

Qin Shi Huang

He sees you for afar in the humans' entrance and smile at you brightly

He was helping Alvitr stand when Qin himself falls to the ground

Alvitr inmediatly start screaming for help and you run to their side, helping her carried Qin. Don't take much for the nurses to came and carry him to the infirmary while you help Alvitr

Since they were serious injured you have to wait outsite the infirmary while they are treated

Being that his condition is so delicate you will have to wait outside the infirmary. Brunhilde reassure you that he and Alvitr will be fine, thanks to the medicine of the Gods

Once he wake up one of the first things in his mind is you, he wants to see you. When you greet him Qin call you name with a big smile and a cheerful voice, he is acting as if he didn't just wake up after putting his life in risk, you'll have to make him stay still, remember him that he need to rest!

Honestly I do think of Cass's reading, and her initial desire and later refusal to try*, has a lot to do with her perfectionism and well... like "sore-loser-ness" (not saying that you're a loser if you can't read, but like. she perceives not being good at something as "losing" and she hates it).

in one of the really early Batgirl issues (#3? I can't remember?) we see Cass tries to save a man who writes a letter to his wife, and she starts trying to read and write after seeing how the man's wife was affected by his letter. Then it's kind of ditched for a while. Later, Cass and Babs have friction because Cass doesn't try to learn how to read and it makes Babs mad, and she belittles Cass in a moment of stress.

And like. For Cass, we see that a lot of fighting stuff (which she perceives as very important) comes naturally to her. Barbara spars with her with escrimas and Cass picks up on it in 5 minutes, just from the body language reading. Cass learns Shadow Thief's techniques while fighting him. She also values being perfect, being great right away. When she temporarily has lost her body-language reading, she asks Bruce how long it takes until she's as good as he is, re-training herself, and he says probably 10 years. She thinks David (her bio father who raised her as an assassin with no language) made her perfect in just 8, and there's the whole repeated quote - Perfect for a year, or mediocre for a lifetime? She chooses perfect for a year - agrees that she will fight Shiva to the death in one year after Shiva restores her skills, and intends that she will die then because she won't kill anyone else (and should note - she never does really doubt that she can beat Shiva, even though other characters do).

Anyway where I'm going with this:

We have Cass, and she's got to be perfect. That's her thing. She's great at picking up new fighting skills, she tries to learn how to talk but because her brain is literally wired differently it doesn't happen until the meta messes with her brain, then it happens overnight. Her re-gaining her skill is not something that emphasized as "she trains a lot" (though we do see her training a lot - it's not what causes it to be re-gained so quickly), it's the deal she makes with Shiva. When it comes to reading, this is probably the only thing that's been that she genuinely struggles with, a lot (due to how her brain was wired), that doesn't have a quick-fix. And Cass is a perfectionist so she is going to feel embarrassed when other people find it easy and she doesn't. the way she protects her feelings is by, once she fails, not trying again. If you don't try, you can't fail and you can't feel bad about it.

Oh.... Oh I have some ideas I don't know if they're good but it's fucking worth it.

He did not get the joke at all, while your wives were giggling none stop your husband did not understand anything.

Shiva asked you what the joke meant but you just couldn't tell him. Not because you felt bad but because it was funnier that he didn't understand it.

Your wife's on the other hand wanted to explain the joke to him but you were begging them not to.

But the fun didn't last long cuz Rudra was the one who explained the joke to Shiva.

Shiva was a little embarrassed cuz of if but found it pretty funny.

Oh and Don't think that you were safe when he got back home.
