if anyone who sees this post knows the fic were Brienne appeares at Jaime’s door after them not seeing each other for years because after university (?) she returned to Tarth and Selwyn was ill and then he died and Brienne didn't talk with anyone until Sansa (?) visited her and then she went to KL to talk to Jaime and she saved some girl and her cheek was hurt and Jaime said it should be stitched and in several days they are going to Tarth together and confess they love in Jaime's kitchen

Of how both of them chose to become Kingsguards, choosing to give up their titles, the possibility to marry and being parents and their lives itself because of love for two people who not only didn't love them in return, but didn't really care about them not even a little bit while they were ready to die for them and how this led to them meeting each other, going from hating each other to falling in love with each other even if they have to realize it and admit to themselves because they are idiots and how when they will be finally together after they admitted their actual feelings they will be crazly in love and happy because for the first time in their lives they'll get to experience how it feels being the first choice for someone and being loved for what they are in return and having one person who is ready to die for them when all their lives they were the one sacrificing and willing to do that without anyone doing that for them ever in this essay I will---

I do love me a ship where the characters are like "i don't find you physically attractive but i am still obsessed with you. Won't have anyone but you." I don't know why it just gets me in the feels....

This is slightly confusing but I tried to make it make sense.

I find it very interesting how people react to shippers based on what they themselves think is the meaning of shipping. For me personally, it's a spectrum from finding a non-romantic relationship entertaining up to thinking the shipped people are soulmates.

What does shipping mean to you? 😄

ok so I have a question for y’all and this is gonna sound snarky but I’m genuinely asking — what are some shows that have aired in the past 15-ish years where the two lead characters, after a long time of being friends, got together as a romantic couple and it was generally seen as a bad thing/out of character/poor writing by the majority of the show’s viewers?

bc I feel like all I ever hear is writers parroting this idea that “there’s too much romance! we’re subverting the norm by making these two leads platonic :)” and was this true at one point in time? sure! but now it feels like every show is doing this, to the point where it’s no longer subverting the norm to have your leads not end up together, it’s just,,,, the norm now to build up a perfectly good romantic relationship and then slap a platonic label on it at the last minute so as to avoid being called cliche.
