Hello 👋, could I request a choso x reader fic, where reader comforts him after his fight with yuji? (if you haven't read the manga and don't know what happens after the fight it's okay, a choso comfort fic is perfect as well) Something sfw, or it could be NSFW too if you'd like. And I had this headcanon that choso is touch starved (I mean, he was in a tube for 150 and after getting a body I don't think the curses do a lot of hugs) if you'd like to use.. :D

Comfort After His Fight
Hiiii anon! Sorry it took so long to get this out, right now I’m doing some Drabble length stuff while I’m still recovering from surgery so I hope that’s okay. <3 I really love this prompt btw!
Notes: GN!reader, hurt/comfort, touch starved Choso.
Tumblr media
“Cho I really think he’ll forgive you, give him some space.” Choso was agonizing over his situation on your couch for the millionth time and you felt the strong urge to comfort him. Standing in front of him and putting a hand on his shoulder was a good first step without overwhelming him- not having physical affection his entire life had left its scars.
“I almost killed him, I almost killed my little brother and the only family I have left. He hates me.”
Three months passed since the Shibuya incident, establishing a connection with Yuuji was more difficult than expected.
You haven’t been dating long, as a Jujutsu high alum you came to help out and Yaga asked you to stick around as a teacher. The salary was hard to pass up but you would’ve done it anyway for the kids. Choso was easy to fall for, his loyalty was his driving force and maybe he was misguided at first, but his heart was kind.
“He went through a lot of trauma, finding out he has a brother doesn’t help how confused he is. His friends got really hurt and they almost died too. The teacher he was close with lost an arm and Gojo got sealed. He felt helpless. Just keep trying in small ways, I’m sure it’ll work out.”
Choso hugged you around the waist as you let down his hair and ran your fingers through it. “How do you know?”
“Yuuji is a sweet person. His friends are considered his family but it’s just different, you’re his only surviving relative. He’ll come around.”
His face buried itself in your presence and he heaved out a deep sigh.
“How about some hot chocolate? You liked it last time I made it, right? It’ll help.”
“Just let me hold you a little while longer please?” Choso sounded so small in his request, still getting used to the feeling of comfort.
You leaned down to kiss his forehead and hugged him back snugly. “I’m here with you.”

what a night. an incredible amount of men and women died this particular night. interesting. why? how? who would’ve done such a thing? a pure red dagger cut through the flesh of these people. now, these cuts weren’t quite deep at first…but they began to get more deep and the deaths were more brutal than the last.
bleeding through the mask, a red substance peered out of the fabric of the eyeholes. a 5’11 figure, wearing an all black robe looked down at their victim. they bend down before stabbing into their victim repeatedly.
the deed was done. “that was easy…” they thought. they would remove the mask to give themself some air. they took a breath. a pair of dead eyes fluttered, adjusting to the dark room that was lit with dim lights. eyes narrowed, staring at the blood that was splattered across the floor and the wall before a sinister smile stretched across their lips.
a beautiful night it was…for him, that is.
“that’s so sad…all those poor people.” your mother said as she looked at the tv, explaining the incidents. you sucked on your bottom lip, feeling the unsettling energy kick into your system. finding all those bodies around the shibuya station. you heard a name being tossed around called the “shibuya slasher”.
it felt like a horror movie. hearing this made your stomach turn. your mother placed your dinner down in front of you and smiled softly. “you eat good, okay? and don’t waste it. put it in the refrigerator or the microwave if you don’t want it.”
you nod at your mother’s simple request and begin to eat after thanking her. you turn the channel to something more happy. you didn’t wanna be depressed and scared while you ate your favorite meal.
later that evening, you make your mother aware that you would be hanging out with your boyfriend for a couple hours. though, she agreed that this was fine, she’d warn you about the shibuya slasher one final time. you assure her that you’d be fine and you leave in a hurry.
two twintails bounced lightly as the owner’s head turned to look at you. their lips stretched into a smile as you entered the car.
“hey,” the deep voice says, sounding slightly excited at the sight of you. it was definitely a change compared to how he usually sounded. his voice was low adverb and it would catch you off guard if you never heard it or if the room was filled with silence and he began to speak.
“hi, cho!” you beam at the male, leaning over to kiss his cheek, to which his pale cheeks flushed a reddish color.
“did you hear the news? that slasher case is…interesting.” choso queries as he begins to drive away from your home, on the way to your next destination, wherever it may be. you sigh and nod, not feeling up to talk about the case. you didn’t like it. it made you sick actually.
“yes, i heard,” you reply, “but it’s…not something i wanna talk about now. we should just enjoy our time together…and maybe do our thing.” a smirk is plastered onto your face and choso has that usual dull expression on his face but he nods.
“very well…”
the two of you spent your evening at a fair, playing the games, eating…even though choso wasn’t really eating. he was just enjoying his time with you. before the night was over, the male had gone do the bathroom, washing the blood from his hands after he had finished another deed. just the sight of seeing you talking to another man drove him up the wall.
it was a bit hard for him to kill in a social setting like this but his body reacted before he could even think. choso came back to you and took your hand and led you back to you car. as you sat in the passenger seat, you noticed a small red stain on his neck. it looked fresh too.
“um…choso, you got something red on your neck.” you spoke up. you wanted to touch it but you didn’t want to distract choso from driving either.
“nothing.” he answered bluntly.
as the weeks passed on, the shibuya slasher was still on their killing spree. your mother would drill it into your brain to watch your surroundings and be careful to not get kidnapped or anything. as annoying as you thought it was, you know your mother was just looking out for you…so of course you take her advice.
out of curiosity, you and a male friend of yours make your way to shibuya station. because it was a bit late at night, the station was empty. you and your friend would have conversations about anything you could possibly think of. completely ignoring the fact that a killer would be nearby.
this is where the murders took place, after all…
amongst your talking between the two of you, there was a sound. it sounded like footsteps and something dragging. you were pretty sure no one was here…maybe you just assumed and didn’t think that maybe some janitors would be here. even the night security guards would probably be here….but there was no one.
your friend wanders off to go check the sound and tells you to wait…but your anxiety was starting to kick in and you didn’t wanna be left alone in a station where you could get kidnapped or murdered. you and your friend go towards the sound, you trailing behind because you were that nervous.
the two of you tread lightly and slowly as if you were attempting to sneak around and locate the noise and confront the person…if there is one. but that’s when you saw it…such speed and power. you saw nothing like it….but you did. it was familiar. that red arrow piercing through the flesh and the skull and eventually the brain, drilling a hole into its victims.
you scream and jump back when you see a 5’11 figure wearing a ghostface mask and a black robe, holding a pure red blade. there was a crimson substance staining the mask…but you were guilty. you couldn’t be scared when you were guilty of a killing yourself.
staring down at the body beneath you, you suddenly feel your tense body relax. blood travels over to the drain and you glance up at the figure in front of you who had been in the middle of removing their mask. revealing their true face.
in front of you was a pale face with blood streaming down its nose and cheeks. even on the side of the owner’s head. you also noticed a little bit of blood coming from their ear but it didn’t concern you as much as their dead eyes that had black rings around them and their brown hair sticking to their face.
“there you are, princess,” choso smirked at you, lifting his bloodstained glove to place under your chin, staining your soft brown skin. his eyes traveled down to your outfit.
“did you wear this for me?”
you put your hands around his arm gently and looked up at him. the two of you were smiling at each other as if death was your favorite thing to bond over. well, the both of you had the same game. killing for each other. that was the goal.
“i do everything for you.” you reply. this only made choso’s existing smile grow. it was sinister but there was also something about it that you liked. you couldn’t place a finger on it.
“good girl…”
despite the blood the was covering the both of you, choso smashed his lips against yours, biting and sucking on your lip whenever he got the chance to. you felt his tongue slip into your mouth, making you moan in between the kiss.
he pulled away from you and took a glance down at his mess, then at you. “did i overdo it?”
any normal person would tell him yes but you were obviously just as unhinged as he was. you shake your head no as your answer.
“no…you didn’t do anything wrong.” you answered. “you just wanted to keep me safe, right?”
“that’s right. i just wanted to keep you safe.” choso dropped the mask down and pushed a lot of pressure against his blade, making it shatter.
“and nobody will ever get near you again.”

In which I speak a bit more on (NEO) TWEWY, Shinjuku's Reapers, and JP workplaces
So to add on a little bit more to some thoughts I had in relation to Challenges in Localization And Cultural Nuance and mageknight14's good analysis on Shoka Not Having Had The Best Family Life, both of which touch on Japanese businesses and how they're run, I'd like to expound a bit more on how the whole Shinjuku Reaper situation really is a series of two separate (and yet, as it turns out, somewhat related) cultural contexts. One of these is that Shinjuku, particularly Kabuchi-cho (which if/when we see the strongly hinted Shinjuku Interquel I fully expect to see that localized as "Kabuki Backstreets" or "Kabuki Alley" or something similar), has had a historical rep as a "red-light" district, and as a fairly major spot for Yakuza and similar organized crime activity. (And there are entire franchises that focus on THIS aspect of Shinjuku, as well.) The other context, which is probably not as familiar to Americans (who are more likely to have played one of the Yakuza games), is that Shinjuku is one of the areas that is a major business hub within Tokyo metro proper. (Square Enix actually moved their headquarters to Shinjuku around 2012 or so after having moved from Yayoi--a part of Shibuya we've never seen in a TWEWY game--and is ironically moving back to Shibuya next year in the Sakuragaoka area just south of Mark City.) And as it turns out, the Shinjuku Reapers and their situation are a MASSIVE parody of how Japanese businesses are run (particularly how certain trends culturally can result in a business--or a Game--becoming highly dysfunctional). So. Japanese businesses have (in comparison to US businesses) a lot of stratification and (although this is changing somewhat) there's still kind of the ideal that if you get into an actual business (versus, say, working at the Lawson or the Family Mart or 7-Eleven) where you're wearing a suit and tie, you're essentially set for Life as long as you don't rock the boat. Historically, this even extended to your prospects of a Forever Job being tied to what college and even what high school you attended (hence why there has been such an incredible pressure with kids being sent to cram schools to get into a good high school, and then get into a good college, as good employers tended to hire directly out of specific colleges). And there's not really the Layoff Culture there is in the US, and generally the main reason someone leaves a business in Japan involves retirement, involves (especially in creative fields) some irreconcilable differences with the board of directors, or some kind of a Scandal where one has seriously hecked up and been Removed. (Again, this is changing some, especially for younger folks, and in part the NEET culture (Not in Education, Employment or Training) is kind of a rebellion against this social pressure, but right now I'm focusing on how typical businesses are run once you manage to get into a suit-and-tie occupation in Japan.) So once you do get IN a company, there's a LOT of societal pressure to really devote everything to company success--not just in terms of working late/working OT, but even societal obligations of going to Company Dinners where you go drinking with your boss/supervisor, social events, morning exercise with the company, etc. that honestly has had a history of lending itself to abuse (karoshi, or literally working yourself to death, IS a phenomena in Japan to the point there have been workplace laws to try to reduce the abuse). Aggretsuko is actually another bit of popular media that explicitly calls out a lot of the more abusive practices like power harassment and the demands a company places on workers, etc. Cells At Work! Code BLACK actually depicts someone dying of an abusive workplace...as the stereotypical abusive "black company", the Japanese slang term for a particularly abusive corporate sweatshop.

Tokyo Streetcar from 1962
Location: Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, Tokyo Timestamp: 15:58 on October 25, 2023
Pentax K-1 II + DFA 28-105mm F3.5-5.6 53 mm ISO 400 for 1/125 sec. at ƒ/7.1
The 7500 series streetcar was once a vital part of Tokyo’s tram lines, traversing three routes connecting Shibuya, Shinbashi, Hamacho-Nakanohashi, and Suda-cho Stations. Placed in the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, this restored streetcar is a captivating piece of Tokyo's past for all generations to enjoy.
In my most recent blog post (https://www.pix4japan.com/blog/20231025-streetcar), I explore the history of the 7500 Series streetcar, a quick look at streetcar usage during the Showa Era in Tokyo, and reminisce about old trains from the early 1980s. I also provide links to Google Maps and to source materials (7-minute read).

Forbidden Family - Choso x Reader (JJK)
Tumblr media
So, this literally ended up being WAYY longer than I had originally anticipated. Woops.
Let's be real, this prompt too was a bit out there--but from the original prompt list, I really didn't know how else to make this technically "PG". So, I hope I could at least achieve that..? Lmk.
I also, will admit, I've never seen the last two episodes of JJK (I know, a sin), but I have read through Shibuya and up to right before the Culling Games?? It's been awhile, admittedly...
I hope I did Choso's character justice, at least! He honestly was the most fitting for this prompt in the first place, so :) if you're wanting Choso content I hope this is alright haha.
Prompt #6: Baby-fever
Word Count: 3.3k (YEAH. I KNOW. I TOO WAS BOGGLED.)
✦✧✦✧
“Cho…” you delicately mumbled to the spikey haired man, his head laying so carefully against your thighs, your fingers lightly tangled into the roots of his hair. “Did you have a good day?”
He remains silent, your partner reaching forward to brush his fingers delicately against the fabric of your pants. His whole world so delicately held before him in what felt like the palm of his hands. Love was never an emotion he ever thought he’d be able to experience with the life he was cursed with, but you helped reshape that curse and make into something he found to be worth fighting for.
“Sure.” He easily replied, barely lifting his head in order to look up in your direction. “I knew that I would inevitably end back up in your arms… that pushed me enough.”
You lightly chuckled at how soft and sweet Choso always made sure to behave with you. You had heard from his brothers that he was an unforgiving force in the curse world. He was a striking force to those who stood against him, and held no mercy if any living being would approach his family. Separately, both brothers had voiced their surprise on separate occasions when it came to Choso’s overwhelming want and acceptance of you.
It was pure accident, you had stumbled down a dark alley being pursued by what you thought were a shadow. It at least looked and acted like one, but before you had caught it reaching up at you from the ground—gooey and rigid limbs targeting you in what had to be a dangerous gesture.
All your life, you had been a witness to many strange instances of grotesque beings littering themselves throughout public life. Monsters that would hang on the shoulders of others, wrap themselves around limbs or merely exist in the space beside them. You had found them to be irritable, but never outright dangerous. This instance felt strikingly different in that sense.
You weren’t wrong to feel the alarm, when you entered the alley the shadow grew to form and quickly made it clear your demise was the being’s goal. Cornering you amongst the trash cans, it gurgled and outwardly grinned through its muck to register a facial expression. Never knowing the details about curses, much less beginning to imagine what utilizing cursed energy was, it ultimately felt like your demise was inevitable.
Seemingly from a miracle, a figure flashed forward at the last second before the specter could strike. It caught the goop with bare hands, the creature suddenly exploding in an array of slimy globs that landed with sounding slaps against the surrounding brick walls.
It all happened so quick, you could hardly manage to shriek with how abrupt the start and end of the attack had been. But, your protector wasn’t disappearing as soon as he had arrived—and he turned in regard to you.
He had been dressed in robes, heavy-white cloth hanging over his shoulders beneath a purple vest-like piece of clothing that clung noticeably tighter around his chest and waist.
The man had a strikingly pale appearance, dark purple circles under his eyes that more-so resembled bruises and made him seem as though he had just recently come out of a fist fight. Across the bridge of his nose, reaching onto tips of his cheekbones, was a long scar. Inky black making the contrast stark on his rivaling white skin. A gaunt looking face topped off with two spiked ponytails on either side of his head—their color like his scar in being a pitch-black attribute to the rest of him.
There wasn’t anything else you could do besides helplessly stand before him in that moment, bask in a stare that could arguably kill. It seemed like it already had with the mess of goop now coating the walls and cement before you. Covering the on-comer’s hands in their forever darkness that screamed danger just as much as he did too.
What all felt like to be your finale in life quickly turned, for he made no move towards you when you back further away, cowering yourself into a corner. The relief continued, still, when the most he did was tilt his head at your distancing in the corner of the alley—looking back definitely not the best place to cower into if wanting to escape such a force that he had proven to be.
He spoke up, and it wasn’t that you were surprised that he himself could speak in full sentences, but more in that it wasn’t words of aggression. He spoke as though trying to console you from the events that had just happened, in compassion? You weren’t sure, the defeat of his target still dripping from his fingers making compassion something you found hard to believe he felt much of.
There was more movement behind him, two different figures materializing from the shadows behind the man—both chilling you to the bone. The first was a strikingly shortened figure, with a distinct face over a gaping mouth that curved into an open-lipped grin. The face which the individual also held for features was definitely the most gaunt of the three—dark, seemingly gouged out eyes with hollowed cheekbones. Like it had sucked out whatever original life had been within such a body. It toothily grinned in sight of you, the first man waving behind him at the look you stared over his shoulder. The other’s mouth closed, as if he got the message to cease.
The other looked more human like the first, towering over the rest of you with glowing, violet irises that were only further highlighted by the black of his scleras. The hair on his head was little, falling over the front of his forehead, a lighter brown compared to the original man’s hair, the rest of his face to wide and muscular too to really fit the hairstyle.
He was shirtless, arguably built like a greek god with abundant muscles beneath a tiny, suspender outfit. The suspenders only there for direction as they “held up” too-tight-of pants on his lower half that clearly weren’t slipping down easily. Topped off with a sporty bowtie wrapped around his neck, white cuffs adorning his wrists, it looked like he might be mocking an upper-class appearance. He smirked in your direction, as if he knew what was going on and you were simply the butt-end of the joke.
Your voice couldn’t be found as the trio paced forward, and maybe his words had been so strikingly softer to the rest of him in wanting to lull you into a false sense of security. Striking at the last moment, when you would least expect it.
With everything that had now happened, after the being chased end of things, it wouldn’t surprise you. Life was fleeting it seemed, you were bound to face your end sooner or later today… right?
What ended up being the case was something you never would’ve thought would be a result to such a day. You had been introduced to the trio in those next moments, Choso, who you had met before the rest, introducing them as his brothers by name before himself. You could see he was the most polite and articulate from his amalgamation of a family—and it all started to settle.
There was a reason behind his kindness, and it was almost just as innocent as the sympathy he had shown in the first place. He had saved you out of the goodness he wanted to be, but he staye from the pure curiosity you spawned within him. Wanting to know the spirit he had seen flitting around the streets of Tokyo on a more personal level.
It worked out for the better, arguing it was for your protection Choso ordered that you report to him once every week to see what else you had seen. On top of the intrigue he felt in your pureness, there was unfamiliar want to protect you from any danger you might face now that he was understanding of your circumstances.
He had worked out that you weren’t a curse user, but in fact a mortal that had the innate ability to see the curses which plagued humanity because of their faults. You weren’t tied to those faults in his mind, though. His eyes never deceived him in purity of a soul, yours shining nearly as brightly as how he viewed his brothers—arguably a shine worth becoming apart of his family.
Never wanting to go against what will you could have against his ruling of wanting you apart of his life, since he too couldn’t rule out why that were the case but found the desire not worth debating too far, he thought the once a week rule would be sufficient.
Once a week turned to twice, then every other day, and finally resulted in a daily check-in--the same alley at the same time, Choso ended up just going to wait for hours upon hours for your arrival. Quiet eagerness founded in hearing about your day regardless of maybe seeing a curse or not.
What the both of you thought couldn’t get better was just the beginning of something beautiful; because once upon approaching him your foot had almost comedically caught against the edge of a crack in the cemented ground, and suddenly you were tumbling towards the Cursed Womb. He was as nimble as he had been that first time interacting with the hybrid of a man, racing forward and catching you up in his considerably strong arms. Holding you up and closing you against him, he held you close to his chest that you swore you could hear the willing heart of his threatening to beat right out of it.
As though the final straw in your shared haystack, what was a building pining caved in on itself and Choso wasn’t going to shy away from his feelings any longer. He had finally gotten to hold you, and that was really all he needed to push him to a confession. A finale worth congratulating, you thought.
Now the two of you were here, resulting in your utmost protection from the eldest Cursed Womb and keeping you close even when times got hard. Fights were breaking out at a fastened rate, the World of Curses was beginning to build up in retaliation to humanity—and you being a human at the right hand of a high profile curse went directly against the motives of some.
Suguru Getou and Mahito were never big fans of yours, in fact they had gone to Choso in wanting his support in their uprising that ended up with them requesting your disposal. He denied, obviously, he wasn’t going to break apart his family willingly of what other’s wanted.
They threatened further, and so Choso hid you away from the world after explaining the situation you could find yourself in if allowed on the surface for too long of a time. You agreed, willing to go with him as long as the daily check-ins stayed consistent, and he were careful.
This was the end of another day hidden below the surface, it always ending in the tired man collapsing against your legs and stuffing the side of his head in your lap—silent insistence of him wanting you to play with his hair. It just made him all the more endearing in your eyes… these moments precious when the rest of the world was continuing to stay so tumultuous.
His eyes were glued to you and his surroundings honestly could’ve turned to nothing in those moments, he wouldn’t panic. He would still have you, that’s what mattered.
“Was your day alright?” He mumbled, studying your features as if he didn’t already have them memorized.
“Yes… it was fine.” You hummed in the wake of him, hand falling from being buried into the roots of his hair, brushing down the side of his face and tracing around the definition of his jaw. “Bland.”
He frowned at your use of the word, knowing it wasn’t you trying to negative, frowning because he wanted to make it better. Give you more to look forward to—even if you already found him to be enough.
“I’ll have to figure out a better situation than this…” he huffed, laying lightly back into your thighs, “Keeping you in here isn’t good on my part, I apologize.”
“You’re only protecting me, Cho. I could never be mad at something like that.” You reminded him, because he always fell back on this disparity when he found you every night, back at your “home”. He wanted you to have more, have something to do when he would be gone all day working for this, honestly, quite insufferable curses.
The thought wasn’t the first time he had experienced such a profound idea, but asking something like that of you sounded so… wrong. It wasn’t his place to decide such a life-altering choice like the one he always thought of in result of wanting to be more—give more to your everyday when he otherwise couldn’t.
You sensed his stiffening in your lap as he battled with himself of going through with the question, and it wasn’t the first time you had caught on to him wanting to speak. Every time the idea would be reminded in that precious place behind his face, between his eyes. It was getting him to admit the thoughts he had that was difficult, and yet they were what you considered entirely beautiful. Each always worth listening to and considering, in your opinion. Forever a curious mind, his curiosity having changed your life for what you would say was the better.
“Choso?”
He knew the tone of voice, he knew what was coming. What you were going to be asking. This time, he didn’t know if he was entirely up for denying his thoughts. The question just always on the tip of his tongue, and the wall had been worn with that of which he fell on to keep from admitting to the question he always held.
“Yes, dearest?” His voice, too, was soft and easy. Clearly hesitant.
“What’re you thinking of, my dreamer?”
The smile in your voice was clear, your fingers tracing down the back of his neck, against the stubble of his hair. He shivered at the mercy of your fingers, eyes closing as he figured how to word his question.
“You surely know that it can’t be anything good…”
“What makes you say that?” You counter quickly, fingers maybe jumping a bit on his skin with the difference in how this question usually went.
Usually, he would say there was no matter to what he was thinking, and that he was again just wanting to lay against you a bit longer. Getting him to say anything past that was a trial you never passed—so the lack of a test to cut straight to him tempting his own answer struck you.
“I would hate to cause you any more discomfort.” He frowned into the fabric on your legs, your whole self enveloping every sense he had, “It’s not a comfortable question.”
“You can ask me anything, you know this.” You encourage simply, not needing to have his angst grow in finally hearing what he had to have been thinking in the previous moments like this.
“Well…” he sighed, lifting his head to face you once again, ready this time, “I was trying to reason how saving you in the eyes of Curse’s should go. How I could protect you against their wrath in having them accept you as a part of my being—which, you very much are. Whether they want to accept that or not.”
You flushed, like every time he seemed to describe the pure depth of his attraction for you, flaring up in the love deep within your heart. Adoration riddled throughout.  “Yes… I-I see.”
“So,” he stared simply at your burning cheeks with a warmer gaze, one that simply further liked seeing how warm your cheeks now were with just his gaze along with a few words. As lovely as you were, you were always going to be human. Humans were always so easy, and he found it be ever apart of the blessing that you were in his life, another note to why you were so lovely for him. “That being said. You are my family, yes?”
“I—uh… well, of course.” You stumbled over words, mind reeling, “If you say that I am, I would be a fool to say no.”
“Not a fool, but I do want to extend on that point… of family.” He easily replied, the weight of the world weighing now on his lungs as he willed himself to speak the words. “Extend my family… with you, that is.”
You didn’t quite understand what he was entirely getting at, at first. Extending the family wouldn’t be bad, he would find others if he chose to look, was he worried about your disapproval of people? Had he found another partner? Choso saw the signs that your mind had begun to race, and he extended a centering hand that delicately was then placed against your wrist. You found him again, eyes softening with your brow furrowing.
“What … what does that even begin to mean?—“
“Us, my love. Our own family, apart of my bigger family…” he cleared his throat, straightening up from your lap, speaking the words. “I’m wondering if you’d at all be interested in having a child.”
Your eyes blew out wide, and you could only manage to stare in shock at the man beneath you. “A—.. A baby?”
“Yes. A baby that can show just how strong our love is for one another in the wake of such… hatred I’m surrounded in.” He tried to explain, his eyes pinching closed as he riddled through the words that ran through his mind in an array of differing thoughts, trying to select what phrases felt right in explaining himself. As if he needed to reason the want for a child beyond his own desire. “It would prove to that vile spirit, Getou, that we are something worth existing. A child of a powerful curse and a beautiful human would surely—“
“Cho, baby, please.” You giggled softly at seeing his panic with the subject, leaning forward to your lap and brushing the tip of your nose against his own, “I’d be happy to be a family.”
You answered it so simply that Choso couldn’t believe his ears at first. But, his brain soon caught up with the rest of him in registering your quite immediate acceptance of the offer he bestowed, and in turn he felt silly all over. For those rare times you had been accounted for in the wake of his smile, this was another one of those instances. He beamed brighter than any ray of sunshine could ever hope to be, grinning happily up to you and all that you were. An angel sent from the almighty to grace him with a love he would never not be able to live without.
“Truly?”
“Truly.”
He leapt up from the floor, arms reaching out and over your shoulders in gripping to envelope you in a surely loving hug where he only hoped you could feel the admiration radiating from him in waves. Love was such a joy in life he now knew, thanks to you. And this was enhancing all that he initially thought he knew—growing into a forever instead of just the want of forever. With your saying yes, he could safely keep you by his side with also a being to show how far that love was rooted between the both of you. With that promise of acceptance from both parties, he knew all would be well, the family man never going to back down from his always goal of protecting those he cherished.
“Here’s to us, then.” He squeezed you a little tighter, reassuring himself too that this was real and you were really wanting this too.
“Yes, to us.” You immediately clung back to him, breathing him in as he had you and smiling in the fabrics of his robes. “Our perfect, forbidden family.”

It was a slightly chilly winter's day. I pondered at Uniqlo should I get a pair of gloves, then decided against it.
As I walked towards the general direction of Kabuki Cho. I stumbled across this busy intersection.
"Ah, it must be the famous Shibuya Crossing."

Explaining my JSR iceberg meme
I'm talking about this bad boy that started existing like 2 years ago.
There are other iceberg images, but they put all the info from the entire franchise in one image. IMO it muddles the focus and you can't put all the spicy trivia and theories in, so it's only JSR related. One game can hold a lot more mysteries(especially now, with 2 leaked prototypes).
Tumblr media
Before i begin, here's a lil' intro. This image is symbolic to me, as it's a sign of how i really got invested in this game and franchise, and got into archiving things all JSR related because unfortunetaly the situation related to it is not really fresh and missinformation is far and wide, but situation is improving.
Gonna try to explain as short as possible. So look at the OG meme because i won't write full entry names and i will joke around. Also look at TCRF arcticle for JGR( https://tcrf.net/Jet_Grind_Radio_(Dreamcast) ) because it has a lot of stuff that i can't include. If you want a more detailed explanation on some entries, you can ask.
Enough with the ramblings, let's begin.
Level 1
Hi-Scool! Seha Girls! - anime with humanised Sega consoles. It has various game themed episodes and JSR was one of them.
Jet Grind Radio GBA and JP names - self explanatory. Despite not being released in Japan, it uses Japanese character names for unknown reasons.
Regional differences - literally every version of of JSR that exists, from the first Japanese release to the remaster and to the Android port, has some kind of difference. This one refers to the more obvious one's - the original release, international release and the updated version of the OG release. The most major one is the inclusion of a new storyline, 2 new levels, new graffiti, the tutorial level and a different credits sequence in international releases. Even some censorship! A lot of music differences too. There are even unused voice clips indended for the English versions of the game, where DJ K doesn't use Japanese words. For this one an entirely new post will be needed to explain it all.
Darksuitmen and Burger Queen - first one is in-universe movie ad and another is a fast-food joint from Shibuya-cho. Both have been changed at some point. Pictures can be found at TCRF. Funnily enough, Burger Queen returns in the remaster, alongside Burger Joint.
Beat's face texture - despite never appearing without the glasses, he has a face texture. This fact is well known and in the fandom.
JSR Guidebook - refering to the Jet Set Radio Perfect Guidebook that was only released in Japan. It's mostly known here for some included profiles that reveal info like age and height of some of the characters.
Level 2
JP dub - this fact is often overlooked but yeah, every character except DJ K have a different dub. A lot of them give characters a different feel entirely. Like, Yo-yo doesn't say "yo".
De la JSR - JP exclusive port that combines aspects of the OG release and international one's with some bug fixes.
Typing Jet - a Java typing game released in 2001 for Japanese mobile phones. As of now, this game is lost.
Swatch bilboard - unused in the final game, but somehow got the chance to appear in the Seha Girls anime. Wild.
Benten Burning Easter Egg - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GoDxMX4xz4
Design differences and wrist watches - character designs are inconsistent in every art and game model. To list them all another post is needed. And the wrist watches that Tab, Gum and Beat have are very weird. Not only they don't appear in the art, but in early trailers they don't have them at all. What are they exactly?
Big Blackout - event caused by the Noise Tanks.
Dunny Boy Williamson Show - the most famous cut song from JGR.
Fictional brands and The Inu King - JSR features a lot of them. Rokkaku brands are plentiful and they show how powerful they are. A lot of ads and brands are parodies and have funny stuff. Some examples i compiled. The Inu King ad features Potts and maybe is a The Lion King parody. And the SB one is obvious.
Tumblr media
JSR slot machine- self explanatory. The most interesting part about it is unique animated footage that it has.
Love Trap intro - It shows Love Shockers dancing on a building and jumping off it. Where is that building and where do they jump off is unclear.
Lever 3
Noise Tank's records - JGR manual says that they record sounds of the city with the help of recorders that are attached to them.
GG's don't take Potts for walks - self explanatory info from the manual.
P.Jam can talk to animals - self explanatory info from the manual.
"paste long judge quote here" - this is Onishima's catchphrase from the JGR manual. He doesn't say it in game unfortunetaly.
Cube is dead - JSR GBA manual description reads: "This stylish goth girl may look dead, but not only can she skate, Cube can spray with flair!"
Unique voices and designs for rival gangs - in the JP release there are different sounds for each of the rival gangs during the tag battle. VA is the same, but the way the sounds are made are different. Play the game to hear them lol. Design changes are in all versions.
Tumblr media
Early Cube, Combo and Coin photo - in JGR a placeholder texture can be found for the photo that appears in Chapter 2. TCRF article has the texture. In Aug 22 proto you can actually see it in action.
Dreamcast Express Vol. 5 - a demo disc type thing. It heatures the earliest known JSR gameplay trailer. And it has the only appearence of DJ K shoes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmKUJkvKmpM&t=8s
Ereki and version texture differences - i decided to combine these two, since they delve into one topic. Ereki is an early name for Beat that was discovered from one of his textures that was accidentaly left in the cutscene. JSR was rushed(it took 10 months to make it couldn't be not rushed) so early textures can be found left in some places. As soon as the cutscene that plays after the tutorial, in fact. The more versions there are - the more differences there are. Here some of the character one's moslty featuring names and minor design changes.
Tumblr media
Cone - the apparent intended way of how Corn's name should be said. The proof is his logo and the pronunsiation of the name in Japanese, Kon.
E3 graffiti in the final game - a lot of assets that otherwise were replaced, still appear in the final game in the weirdest places like cutscenes or the Bantam Street train.
Slate in tutorial - in the demo that was included in Official Sega Dreamcast Magazine Vol. 8 and in the E3 demo, Slate replaces Tab.
DJ K rap - one of the many unused audios are rap numbers from the man. One is in English and the other is in Japanese.
P.Jam alt mask - in one of the vids from JSR slot machine, P.Jam can be seen wearing a mask with the letter P on it. Pic included in the meme.
The cat warehouse - everyone knows about the cat room from JSRF, but no one really talks about from one in JSR. There are less cats, but still.
Tumblr media
Potts in Grind City - what da dog doin in chaper 2 cutscene
Tumblr media
Towers in Bantam -
Tumblr media
Level 4
Noise 66, Code, Nuts, Reco, Plug(Pench), P. Jam Black - various early names for playable characters thay can be found in the game files, referenced in graffiti and in the prototypes debug mode. These are names for Noise Tanks, Slate, Piranha, Cube, Garam, Unmasked P.Jam respectively.
Angry Onishima and Goji - both of these have an angry expression and Goji only has this one on his cutscene model. Possibly these were made for some cut cutscenes, or a gameplay thing in Onishima's case. Fun fact: Onishima has an unused voice clip where he yells WHAT THE-!? so maybe these are related. Also don't ask what is going on with Goji's textures.
Tumblr media
Removed broken cop bike - a removed occurance that can only be found functional in E3 demo. Small pic is included in the meme. Bike that in the final game just crash into youand then rides away to despawn, actually were intended to fall over and stay in the level. The only reminence of the broken bike left in the final, is a texture. Rider is also depicted visibly injured there.
Unused spicy movie poster - look at TCRF article for more details.
e_mu_elec_001 - possibly unused audio that was intended to play in Grind Square. No matter what i did i couldn't trigger it in game. Also dude from the audio sounds like Hayashi. Listen to it here: https://youtu.be/NBCELA4IhGc?t=258
E3 2000 JGR stage show - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XUL3Mui-gc
Gum picture in DJ K studio - it's just there. Does it mean that Gum is famous? Why K has it in his studio?
K and taxes - DJ K description from the JP JSR site tells that he knows everything about Tokyo-to, except how to write an income tax return. Yeah right.
The Rokkaku movie - referencing the ad from Bantam street. There is a possibility of Goji documentary movie being real.
Pink poet - aka Pink no Shijin, DJ K informant from Benten-cho. The guy that first got the news about the Devil's Contract. He is sort of an inside joke to me bc no one remembers him, and my first journey in the wiki stuff was writing an article about him on the old JSR wiki.
P.Jam with bats - concept art from the JSR documentary. Look at the art from there here: https://dedtoot.tumblr.com/post/642133419186372608/jet-set-radio-concept-art-but-now-you-can-look-at
Aug 22 build voice clips - this prototype revealed that in the final game some characters had their voice clips trimmed. I only noticed it with Piranha and Tab. I didn't check other characters for this thing, but here the Piranha sound. First the proto, next the remaster: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hM2Y6SeA5M4
Aug 22 build loading screen - this random loading screen appears here and nowhere else.
Tumblr media
Unused breathing noises - like in JSRF, characters here have a voice clip with them breathing heavily. Maybe they are not unused, but i definitely didn't hear them in the remaster. Does anybody know how to trigger them?
Slate's face - i had a nightmare about how i found a texture with how slate's face actually looks like and it scared me very much. It's funny so i put it in the meme. It's not the only weird dream i had but puting the other one's would be too strange.
digi - one cool person from asked me to put them in the meme so they are there.
Final Level
Removed Golden Rhino car - the enemy that can be found in the E3 version. interestingly enough, it's not the only instance of the cut car enemy in this franchise. Watch it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C4Gr_udZd0
Aliens - mentioned in one of the DJ K cutscenes. Are they really real?
Onishima's problems - JGR manual says that he hates young people because of some past trauma. One line from the JP JSR website description, that was removed from the JGR description, says that he claims to be able to live for a week entirely on booze and cigarettes. He is not ok at all.
Noise Tanks experiments - whatever the hell they did on Potts???Why???
P.Jam kidnapping incident - JGR manual says that they tried kidnapping a pretty girl, but stole a mannequins instead. They were playing up the old monster movie cliche card to a tee.
Garam moment - The sonic skull he has.
Gouji Laboratory - a sign from Bantam Street. What the lab does? What it develops? Is it related to Goji's son? No one knows.
Fantastic HA HA HA HAAAA Band - E3 version includes some unused music tracks in it's files, specifically two songs from Fuzita Blender that didn't made it in the final game. Ripped audios can be heard here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9M1_kX8hiQ&t=6s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YemnBIbUJaQ&t=28s
(UPDATE: it turned out the Fuzita Blender music thing was mentioned way back in 2013 in one of the Hideki Naganuma's tweets.(https://twitter.com/hideki_naganuma/status/341608944495648768?s=21&t=LTdpJxzxzZKK2ce5cE1Zpw) So i guess some real hardcore fan could know about it.)
JSR demo voice clips and sukebo - the demo includes 3 voice files, m, f and sukebo. The first two may be placeholders, but the last one may be for a cut character, that used a skateboard. All 3 files, go in the order that i said here(volume warning): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQ7H9mJ-5RA
E3 version features more destruction - E3 version weirdly had more stuff related to destroyed enemies vehicles, instead of driving away and despawning, they stayed on the map. E.g. cop car from the first Kogame-cho level didn't crashed into a fence and fell in the water, but instead crashed and fell on the stairs and stayed there. The game is in general more chaotic. I assume that all of these were removed for optimisation and lack of time reasons. But it makes me wonder, what JSR could've been with more powerful hardware, experience and time?
ко рн без трусів - cmon now.

" Assuming that I am. " Basic rule of thumb: never let a fellow predator detect even a speck of what could be interpreted as weakness. And among those Joshua would categorize as a probable threat, none is so dangerous as a counterpart Kiryu.
Anytime he ventures outside of his realm, things have the potential to get dicey. World hopping is a high-stakes game that Joshua won't attempt with just any universe, but it's a gamble he's willing to take with this one's Kiryu.
And if it ever gets hairy, his Producers know his coordinates.
" Frightened is not the word. It's frisson... that feeling that lies between thrill and fear. It's exhilarating. " Seated together upon 104, he leans back onto the weight of his palms to drop his shoulders and better incline his head skyward. Though he does cut a quick glance at his alter to gauge his reaction to his next statements:
" Unless of course, you give me reason for fear. " A pause, and a smirk. " I've often mused on what it might be like to steal away one of my own selves I grow particularly fond of, buuut I'm unfortunately too compassionate to risk collapsing a world just for my own indulgence. " / @the-composer + BOUNCED.

❝  sounds similar to gambling. ❞ that leap between going all in and it comes down to the draw between you and the house. while he didn't have the reference point that his fellow kiryu had, he knew the signs of excitement. he could see them in himself whenever his peer showed up. it was so unlike anything else he'd ever been privy to.
it's warm from their spot on 104 from the rafters. the sun was peaking between steel beams and the walls that protested the inside entry point to the rooftop. a place that 'shua' had never actually seen the inside of, but mainly because he didn't need to go through the shopping center to get there.
❝  so you must care for all shibuya-cho's across the span of this wide multiverese of possibility, beyond just your own. the mark of a true humanitarian. ❞ for how sarcastic it sounded, he was being honest. he'd conceptualized the idea before, though it hadn't been himself. it had been another composer, and purely out of curiosity. what would happen. it'd shake the bedrock of the UG no doubt if something big did here.
the idea that he, too, may be swept away had never crossed his mind until last night. his alternate lived a much different life than him, based on everything he'd heard so far and experience even if their skin was the same soft and they shared similar traits. there is divergence.
shua wanted to explore everything that made them similar and different. he wanted to learn all about his alternate and how his world worked to better understand him.
