really love how throughout a lot of smith and jones martha is really skeptical and apprehensive towards ten (+ one of my favorite exchanges between them - "what, people call you 'the doctor'?" "yeah?" "well, i'm not. far as i'm concerned, you've got to earn that title."), not taking everything he says at face value, even doubting the fact he's an alien until over halfway through the episode.. And like. i really truly think the thing that wins her over isn't him kissing her or any of the other insane mixed messages he manages to send, it's this scene here, where he /earns that title/ in her eyes:

(+ david's bit in the commentary, where he says: "[the doctor] has actually sacrificed himself, and - i would say, that that final act of selflessness is what finally, eventually, welds martha to him. [...] and she now returns it. she returns that act of selflessness.")

this is what their relationship is built on. it isn't about martha being the second-best replacement to rose or a rebound or whatever. bc it isn't really about rose. it's about doctor-in-training martha meeting someone (quite literally, "the doctor") whose ideals she aspires to, and doing her best to be the same person to him as he is to everyone else. it's about ten in return admiring her intelligence and inquisitiveness and how she cares for human life, recovering his compassion, letting himself lean on her for support - and then remembering at the most inopportune moments that he's supposed to not need anyone and be on his own forever. And around in their little nightmare loop they go where they save each other over and over until one of them breaks

i've seen ppl look at martha and go "why she does she admire/why is she so in love with ten if he acts like that to her?" or something along those lines and like. it's not just the fact she's in love with him (in fact i'd argue she actively tries to push it aside post-gridlock). it's the fact that she knows he's the kind of person to put everyone else's lives/well-being over his own. she trusts him to save her when she's in trouble even though it's been like two days at most that they've known one another bc she recognizes that same "deep all-encompassing drive to help others" in him. and she also recognizes, much much earlier than him, that he needs someone to save him, especially when he's unwilling to save himself. and yeah for a bit she thinks he returns her feelings and is just playing hard-to-get, but she realizes pretty early on that this probably isn't the case, and i think that realization fully solidifies here:

(this is when she's listening to ten talk abt gallifrey). And idk it might just be me but i think this expression isn't just her empathizing with his loss. it's also guilt, for wanting something from him that he's clearly unable to give when he's wracked with so much grief. (and you see it in the next episode, where tallulah asks if they're together and martha says for certain that they're not, and that he doesn't know about her feelings for him. she keeps everything to herself bc she now knows that when he shut her flirting down at the end of 3x01 it was the genuine reaction of someone who a) isn't interested and b) is scared of getting close with someone else again)

freema described their dynamic as "she's keener than him" and i think about this all the time. martha doesn't really take what ten throws at her. what she does instead is constantly poke holes in his already-failing front of "i will show someone the wonders of the universe so i can ignore what is wrong with me". what she does is stand up and fight him when he tries to go off on his own. what she does is put aside her well-being in favor of helping someone - just like what she saw him do for the people in the hospital when they first met. tldr, that's the doctor and his doctor and rip martha you would've loved who's gonna save u now by rina sawayama

top five things i am currently insane about in borderlands as usual:

a) timothy lawrence and the way that he's so commonly misinterpreted. i want to see an in-depth exploration of all the less "funny cute anxious bean" or whatever aspects of his personality. i want to see the remnants of jack still lingering in his personality and the way this makes other people uncomfortable sometimes. i want to see the fact that he's a resilient mf who survived being a vault hunter. i want a genuine exploration of the relationship (platonic or romantic) that he could have with moxxi, where they both simultaneously explore the people that they are underneath the literal mask/corporate image of themselves that they present. i want to see the crimson raiders send him to atlas for a new hand because rhys fucking OWES them after they saved his ass, and i want to see him have a conversation with zer0, one of the people who killed jack. i also want to see him accidentally scare the shit out of rhys on multiple occasions. I WANT TO SEE IT ACKNOWLEDGED THAT HE'S TERRIBLE AT ACTING LIKE JACK ON PURPOSE, but when he's not intentionally doing it? jesus, it catches you off guard. sometimes the things he says as himself sound like something that would naturally come out of jack's mouth.

b) katagawa jr. can i ever decide entirely whether or not i wanted him to be reworked into a more competent, long-standing antagonist that would EVENTUALLY be killed by rhys personally in a grand display of him killing a foil of himself/ a representation of the worst person that he could have become in order to protect the new future he built for himself and all the people working for him- OR an eventually slowly redeemed character who survived the vault hunter's attack only to be disgraced by Maliwan and forced to gain a new perspective on the world much the same way Rhys was when he was initially ousted to being a janitor at Hyperion before going to Pandora? no. i cannot decide which of these paths i like better, but i really want either of them to have happened.

c) pure unadulterated rage about what they did to vaughn's character post tftbl. that's it. no elaboration needed.

d) the lack of content about maya meeting and knowing about other sirens and getting to connect with them over their experiences. i want to see more about her personal horror encountering angel in bl2- realizing that this can be a siren's fate sometimes if they're unlucky or defeated, weaponized and used for their powers as a tool. i want to see her meet lilith, and bond with her over the weight on their shoulders- being a vault hunter and a siren all at once and being looked up to as a legend, a myth, and a saviour all at once. also why the fuck did they kill her off in bl3 it's so fucking awful she could've been an awesome returning character and instead of just having her return to athenas they could have done a whole arc about her begrudgingly returning to her place of origin despite complicated feelings about it because they're in danger.

e) TANNNNNNNNNNNISSSSS. i love patricia tannis. number one tannis fan over here. i just want to see more of her interacting with everyone in general, actually. sirens and eridian history are her favourite, let me see her talking lilith and maya into silly experiments for her own personal gain. making friends, slowly, as she connects with the crimson raiders more closely than she thought she would, with other scientific minds. like hammerlock! they have different realms of study, but i like to think they'd get along. have her wander begrudgingly into moxxi's bar (unpleasantly loud and busy, but needs must) and ask her for a favour because she needs someone persuasive to convince the vault hunters to spare a bit of eridium for a machine she's got in the works. more her please

i love makoto so much but fanon does her so much better (the good parts of the fandom) because in the game her character is so lack luster. they butchered her confidant it is so borning and not even about her. they made her a cop. A COP. they pushed this "canon waifu" role onto her (before sumire came along and did it Even Worse). and it SUCKS because SHE IS SO MUCH MORE!!! SHE IS SO MUCH BETTER!!!! SHE COULD'VE BEEN SO MUCH BETTER!!! the way i feel about canon makoto is the same way i feel about the canon ryuji events post komoshida where he's horribly mistreated and used purely as comic relief: i ignore them <3 my game now <3 never happened <3 my ocs <3

You are so right. I generally apply this to all characters in p5 bc the game does such a shit job of staying consistent with character arcs and personalities. Theres a desperate need to throw in perverse jokes at the expense of female characters and a need to show that the police (as a whole) are reliable people who are not influenced by things like money and power; only the BAD cops do that. Not to mention this obvious fatphobia and homophobia but i feel likes thats a given.

But back to Makoto. Shes a victim of bad writing just like everyone else. Ryuji during the kamoshida arc was fighting with self loathing and genuine anxiety, and aside from the like. One comment on Panthers outfit in the metaverse, hes more than well behaved. All of that is shelved as soon as Kamoshida is gone and replaced with him being weird comic relief (and the focus of alot of sexual jokes that were nonexistent in the beginning of the game). Anns arc about self love and empowerment is completely dropped as soon as the nasty bad guy is put away (so that its good to be weird about her w the Good Guys). Makoto loses her a chunk of her personality to be the mature waifu which is INSANE to me bc shes like. Not okay or normal at all 😭😭😭 she THINKS shes responsible and so does everyone else on her team, but its an act! She doesnt know shit! And she doesnt know that she doesnt know shit bc shes respectful and adults dont care about anything as long as u respect them!

Its very telling that for literally every single thief (and goro), you can see the exact moment the writers gave up on adding anything of worth to their characters outside of the social links. Its like they didnt know what to even do w the characters at their disposal after their main arcs were complete. No mention of friends hanging out without you, no mention of having group hangouts. Everyone is treated as a core, important member of the friend group DURING their arc, but outside of it, they are acquaintances at best. Theres nothing in the game that convinces you that these guys are legitimately friends who care for each other and do Friend Things. And i describe it like that bc there IS a game that treats them all as friends, and its strikers! Strikers/Scramble genuinely feels like the game p5 wanted to be; a road trip w your team where they stay up at night talking to each other and hanging out and doing things together that dont necessarily include you, the player. Its refreshing and lovely but it sucks that u get that kind of attention to detail in a ‘spinoff’ title

#chattin #i hesitate to use spinoff bc its a pretty big game #and theres an amazing plot with wonderful characterization #and their handling of jails and jail owners is LEAGUES better than the bs they tried to make up w palace users #and all the thieves feel like family. and not in the annoying fandom way; like #were family in the same way a family is forged and tended to. i love you. no one is left behind. no one is made to feel inferior another #its really good and honestly if u want more interactions between everyone i really recommend a playthrough #but yeah #p5 sucks #i love it but i love the version of it i made in my head LMAO #maybe p5r did a better job w the dialogue and some questionable scenes #(i wouldnt know. i didnt play it lol)#so maybe thats what people need to be using as a point of reference #but i only plyed p5 so this is what i have; a group of people who show up for meetings and then go about their life #and that kinda sucks. why make this wholly unique experience in which these teens can only relate to each other #make them bonded over their shared experience w this unbelievable world #and then not only make them NOT interact; but have the end be ‘okay by akira.’ and leave it at that #they just. didnt know what to do w anyone #they needed their girls to be waifubait and the boys to be an afterthought #they needed a buffet of older woman for pathetic men to fuck through their self insert #and they needed a story convoluted enough to keep people stuck trying to figure it out themselves #its bad. its so bad. its so fucking bad. but i have to be here. TWENTY — A Hole In The Shape Of You (2.17k)

The rest of the week moved faster than you anticipated. Even breakfast with Juyeon felt like it wasn’t nearly long enough.

As you sat across from him at a two person table in that cute cafe, you couldn’t help but feel your heart stutter every time he smiled. He laughed genuinely at any of the jokes you made and he looked like he really wanted to hear what you were saying, all his attention on you whenever you spoke.

You learned that his crush on Tzuyu started around the same time as yours on him. It humanized him in a way, it made you see him as an actual person with feelings rather than the guy you put on a pedestal for so long. When you told him about sharing College Algebra first year, he laughed at the fact that you had such a vivid memory.

Just as you suspected, he didn’t remember. You didn’t really expect him to, considering he didn’t have a good memory, but also because you never did anything memorable. It was probably better for everyone involved if you got over this crush and moved on with your life. You didn’t stand a chance anyway, since you were literally helping him get with the girl he was actually interested in.

By the time Saturday rolled around, you felt like you were going insane. Despite coming to the conclusion that you would give up with Juyeon, you were still freaking out over picking an outfit for the party. Yuqi watches in amusement as you hold different bathing suits and dresses up to your body in front of your mirror.

“This is a disaster! I have nothing to wear.” You sigh, flipping backwards onto your bed.

“You’re being dramatic,” Yuqi snorts, flicking your forehead. “Wear the pink halter with the white sundress. Have a little Barbie moment.”

“Oh my god, you're a genius!” You shake her by the shoulders. “Should I wear heels too?”

“Yeah, maybe some wedges? You can always ask Sakura for her opinion too when she gets here.” The blonde says as she gets up to stretch. Her orange bikini looked cute paired with the tube top and shorts she was wearing, her long legs accentuated with the strappy heels on her feet.

You and your two girl friends were going to the party together, meeting Kevin, Eric, and Haknyeon when you got there. Seonghwa and Minho decided to opt out of this one— both not too keen on attending. You figured Seonghwa just didn’t feel like dealing with a drunk Eric because that was his least favorite Eric, but you weren’t too sure why Minho didn’t want to go.

Sakura arrived at your apartment just after you’d finished your makeup and the three of you set on your way to the Tau Psi Zeta house. You were more nervous than you initially thought you’d be about seeing Juyeon in a public setting. The closer you got to Greek Row, the quicker your pulse began to race.

Though it went against all of your morals, you half hoped he would see you and fall in love instantly, forgetting his crush on Tzuyu ever existed.

“We’re here!” Sakura sing-songs, parking with the other cars along the block. As if he had perfect timing, your phone buzzes while you make your way to the backyard.

[8:13 pm] juyeon: hyunjae, jacob, and i just got here

[8:13 pm] juyeon: are u here yet?

[8:14 pm] y/n: we just got into the backyard!!

[8:14 pm] y/n: looking for kevin and the boys rn then grabbing drinks :P

You shove your phone inside your purse and follow behind Yuqi, who seems to know exactly where your other friends are. Kevin and Eric are in a shotgunning contest when you find them, Haknyeon standing between them with the stopwatch running on his phone. Surprisingly, Eric finishes first, the foam from his beer can spraying at the crowd when he pulls away. Kevin isn’t far behind, crushing his own can in defeat.

The younger boy looks pleased with himself, fist bumping the air and then running around the circle to high five everyone. It had only been an hour since the party started and you could tell he wasn’t going to last the whole night. Kevin shuffles over to you dejectedly, a pout on his lips.

“I can’t believe I lost to fuckass Eric,” he groans. “I need another beer.”

You laugh and then your little group is scampering off to the drink area. Yuqi puts herself in charge of concocting something for you as you glance around the full backyard for two people. First, you spot Tzuyu in the pool, giggling with what you assume is some of her sorority sisters. Then you squint your eyes and scan the yard some more, but ultimately fall short.

That is, until you feel a light tap on your shoulder. You spin around to see the culprit with his stupidly cute grin, his buddies behind him. You bring up a hand to give him a small wave.

“I figured I should just come straight here instead of trying to find you out there.” Juyeon says, scratching the back of his neck.

“That was smart,” you nod, thanking Yuqi when she hands you your drink. “Um, this is my best friend Yuqi.”

The pair exchange introductions and then you formally meet Jacob and Hyunjae. You’d heard about the former through Kevin mostly, but the latter through Eric, who’s interesting baseball stories seemed to always involve the older boy. They’re both polite, even thanking you for your services in regard to their friend.

Juyeon’s cheeks redden and he looks away from you before something catches his attention. You’re almost too busy joking around with Haknyeon to notice that he’s completely enamored by the view of Tzuyu, like nothing else in the world mattered to him.

Key word: almost.

You’re about to include him in the conversation when you see him staring off into the distance. You direct your gaze in his line of sight, a frown slowly replacing the smile on your face. Juyeon wasn’t here for you, you have to remind yourself. He didn’t even know you. You were just his matchmaker, destined to bring him and the girl he truly wanted together.

“Leave me here to drown.”

Sakura sighs heavily, turning to Yuqi for help. The blonde shrugs like this is something completely out of her jurisdiction. With another grunt of exertion, she tries to get you out of the pool again.

“I don’t wanna stay here any longer if you’re just gonna mope around and suck the fun out of everything.” Sakura deadpans, holding the heel of her palm to her forehead.

You don’t make any move to get up, floating on your back and staring up at the sky. Your eyes cast a backward glance at an upside down visual of Tzuyu and Juyeon at the other end of the pool. She’s sitting on the edge, her feet in the water while he’s fully submerged— his arms resting on the concrete surrounding. The two are immersed in a conversation about something you can’t hear. He worked up the courage to talk to her earlier in the night and you’d effectively lost his attention since.

The drink Yuqi had just brought you was downed in an instant and you found yourself asking for another. She raised an eyebrow at the insistence, but made it anyway. There was no way you could make it through the night sober. Not at this rate.

“Do you think now’s a good time to make my impression?” Juyeon turns to you when his friends have gone off to mingle.

You flicker your gaze to him, his focus still on Tzuyu. She looked gorgeous in the bright blue strapless one piece she was wearing, a section of the side cut out. You’d always thought Chou Tzuyu was a pretty girl. She had long, shiny hair and a sparkling smile that reached her eyes, anyone who could see had the potential to fall in love with her upon first sight.

The way Juyeon watches her, like she was the reason the sun was in the sky, made this growing ache inside of you expand. Getting your heart broken intentionally was one kind of pain. But unrequited love was another. It was one that you’d never wish on your worst enemy— no matter if they made your life a living hell.

You weren’t here to be a Debbie-Downer. You had a job to do and because it was for him, you were going to try to do your best.

With the biggest fake smile you can muster, you nod. “I think so. I can send someone to distract her friends so you can get her alone?”

“That would be great, Y/N,” he turns to you with that special grin of his. “Thank you.”

You don’t trust your voice, so you give him another faux smile and a thumbs up, shoo-ing him off to her. Heavy feet drag you over to Kevin (who knows everyone) and you convince him to do your bidding. When you tell him why, he immediately agrees— most likely out of pity.

“You know, Juyeon’s never really been the type to express actual feelings for a girl,” Jacob speaks up when he sees you standing alone, crossing his arms over his chest. “This whole Tzuyu thing is actually the first time I’ve seen him show that side of himself. I guess it must be more than a silly crush.”

You’re not sure what you should make of this revelation. You’re not even sure why Jacob is telling you this as you overlook Juyeon sitting himself beside her. He sticks his hand out and you assume it’s to introduce himself. The conversation only continues from there.

“Luckily for him, I’m the best in the business. I’ll do whatever I can to get him a happy ending.” You force yourself to stare at the drink in your hands instead. Jacob hums in acknowledgement.

You know you should be overjoyed that he was finally able to go up to her. You should be jumping for the moon. But you don’t have it in you to even be slightly interested. It hurts you way too much to see him laughing and smiling with someone else.

Granted, you never spoke to him yourself until he came to you for your expertise. You only recently started to get to know each other and it was exciting, though the reasoning behind it was less than. How were you supposed to put your whole heart into helping him get with the girl of his dreams if he was the boy of yours?

The water splashes around you as you switch to a standing position. You ignore Yuqi and Sakura’s questioning, scrambling out of the pool. All of your stuff was left with the guys, who were sitting on some lounge chairs nearby and drinking. You grab your stuff without a word and throw on your dress. Before you know it, you’re sitting on the front porch, dialing the only number you know by memory.

Sakura was right. You were sucking the fun out of everything. But you couldn’t just ask them to leave, especially not when they hardly enjoyed themselves.

“Hello?”

“Minho? Are you awake?” You chew on your bottom lip, kicking a pebble with your haphazardly put on wedge.

“Yeah? It’s only like 11PM, what’s up?” He asks into the receiver. You hear some shuffling on the other side, which was probably him moving around in his bed. The sound of something playing on the TV is muffled in the background.

“Do you think you could get me from the Tau Psi Zeta house? I wanna leave, but I don’t wanna make everyone else leave too.”

“Oh. Yeah, of course. Just send me your location. I’ll be there as fast as I can.” Minho says and you hear more shuffling.

“Thank you, Min,” you bite your cheek. “Thank you so much.”

“It’s no problem, I promise. I’ll see you soon.”

‘Soon’ is 10 minutes later when you recognize his car rolling to a stop in front of the sorority house. The moment your seatbelt is buckled, the tears start flowing. You wanted to hold them back the entire night and even during the phone call, but something about the comforting scent of Minho’s car broke you. Your eyes felt like a flood gate reaching its limit, letting it all burst through.

Lee Minho never knew what to do when it came to seeing his friends cry. Especially not you, the most headstrong girl he’s ever known. But seeing you so distraught tugged at his heartstrings and he instinctively went to rub at your back. He didn’t care if he had to sit here for 2 minutes or 20, as long as you got to let it all out.

Once your sobbing has simmered to sniffles, you wipe your nose and lean into your seat with a deep breath. “Thank you.”

“Of course.”

I AM SO FUCKING SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO GET TO THIS ASK OH MY FUCKING GOD my life has been crazy lately but still i am So Sorry

okay so basically i love pucci we have to kill him. here is a list of my thoughts in no particular order

he makes me so ill like genuinely he is one of the most well written jojo characters ever and DEFINITELY the most well written villain. like holy shit. i think a lot about how weather said the evilest of people are those who think they are good and how that relates to pucci oh my GOD it makes me sick. pucci like many villains are a "ends justify the means" kinda guy like while he was cruel at many points i truly think he was jsut like, yes this is a moment of weakness but it wont matter because im going to fix it. i think aobut how he really thought he was going to save everyone. he was going to save perla. he was going to save dio. he was going to save himself. and thinking baout things from his side, like, oh my god. dio was his only friend. we the audience know that dio groomed him (not necessarily sexually but still grooming) and even though dio did seem to grow to truly care for pucci, he didnt care enough to not use him for his plan to restart the world -- but PUCCI didnt know that. im sure he had inklings and feelings like he's not NAIVE, im sure he KNEW dio was using him at SOME point, but it wouldnt change the fact dio still eventually saw him and was his friend either way. it wouldnt change the fact that he would do this one thing for his only friend, even if his only friend BECAME his friend in the first place just to make him fulfill this task. god dio and pucci's relationship is so insane i hate hate hate that people boil it down to just shipping LIKE THERE WAS RESENTMENT THERE WAS ANGER THERE WAS SO MUCH LOVE AND HALF OF IT WAS LOVE FOR WHAT THE OTHER COULD DO FOR HIM INSTEAD OF JUST HIM HIMSELF . LIKE FUCK'S SAKE im sick of ppl putting a romantic spin on everything and YES this is half me being aromatnic but also COME ON. and that's not even getting into the fact dio and pucci's relationship is supposed to parallel jolyne and jotaro's/jolyne and jonathan's. but anyway

Mortal Kombat Headcanons

Frost

Frost is going through a teenage rebellion of some kind. Yes, she's a bit old for one, but hey every person in their early 20's has a right to be immature. She feels a bit confused, dismissed and disrespected.

Kuai Liang was always her father figure, so Frost internalised and took the Shirai Ryu rivalry very seriously. So when Kuai Liang started making peace with Hanzo she didn't take it very well.

Frost has a wrapped sense of justice and logic thanks to her childhood, considering she killed her own mother. Before becoming a part of the Lin Kuei she lived in a bad environment. (If her mother is truly like Sindel we can only imagine and guess what that was like).

Rain flirts with her all the time, and he is genuinely interested in her. (Can we get her a boyfriend?)

Her acting out is her way of getting everyone's attention, and she believes it's a great way of proving herself.

Mileena

Mileena is desperate for a relationship with Kitana, so she's willing to be an antagonist so long as it means having her attention, but there's still resentment. Even with that resentment Mileena is somewhat caring and protective of her, judging on how she doesn't want Kitana and Liu Kang to marry.

She wants love, and lots of it. She thinks that by having the throne she will be given that love, since Shao Kahn was given it.

Mileena and Frost can become friends.

If things were different, her and Skarlet would get along well.

(Skarlet should've been the Jade to Mileena's Kitana. Why Netherrealm Studios? Why?)

Skarlet

Even though it was Shao Kahn that introduced her to bloodmagic, it was Shang Tsung that taught her how to cope with it. (Since he created her in the flesh pits before her backstory was retconned)

Skarlet experienced racism and classism during her early stay with Shao Kahn, and she longed for Kitana and Jade's respect. Due to their shunning she holds a harsh bitterness towards them.

Based on Rain's intro she is partially Edenian, but is mostly Outworld-ian.

Mileena and Skarlet would never admit it, but they both have a bit of a sibling bond with each other. But it's one of actual rivalry thanks to their narcissistic parental figures. Her infatuation with Shao Kahn is a sign that bloodmagic is slowly and surely leading to her insanity, before she did not view him in that way.

Erron Black is the only person she's had a relationship with. Ever since Erron she hasn't been in a relationship due to the fear of being hurt again, but she has been getting a certain Shaolin's eye on her. (I think Kung Lao was genuinely flattered when he said "We hardly know each other.")

Shang Tsung

He does feel some kind of care for Mileena, but in the end she is like a dish to be proud of and served instead of growing a bond with.

He gets a bit prideful from her accomplishments, though.

"Mileena would never do that thereafter. Mileena did you do that thereafter?"

When Skarlet was much younger she used to follow him around just to see how well he would perform magic in order to improve her own skill.

Noob Saibot

Noob/Bi Han takes a lot of things people say literally. Because of this he is the least antagonistic towards Johnny Cage.

His soul is enslaved so a lot of what he does is not the actual Bi Han, but he is sometimes able to break out of it to deliver a few lines.

He has mistakenly gotten into a few debates with Shang Tsung about the use of dark magic vs soul magic.

Kitana and Jade

Very classist and a bit racist, on Jade's part.

Were mean to Skarlet during their upbringing and intentionally isolated themselves from her.

As much as Kitana doesn't want to admit it, she is much like Shao Kahn.

Kitana is 17-19 in human years. Jade is 21-23.

(I like Kitana and Jade but there's things about them that I don't like)

You’ve mentioned that Flora and Helia had certain expectations of each other in the beginning of their relationship but eventually overcame. What kind of expectations did they have about each other and why didn’t it bother them too much if the other couldn’t meet it?

oh i love this!! i've def talked about this before but i can't find the post :(

florelia's early relationship expectations are super interesting to me because like,, it mostly came from a place of them thinking the other was Hot Shit and kind of perfect almost. they really idealized each other! so whenever one of them made a mistake or did something "unexpected", the other person would really just go "huh. didn't know they were like that 🤨"

i think a really big expectation that flora had of helia was that he was a pacifist or at the very least not as violent as the other specialists. we don't see this become a big fight (at least in the early seasons) but it does pop up occasionally with flora saying something along the lines of "we can't hurt that animal or that person" and helia "oh wow she is insane actually" aldghlag,, okay he's not that mean but you get the picture. despite being a literal superhero, flora is still often against violence that She deems unnecessary, even if everyone else is down for it. and in the beginning of their relationship, she genuinely thought that helia would have similar opinions, and she would get surprised when he was Down To Fight

in a similar vein, helia actually had the expectation that flora would be more okay with fighting and violence. he knew that she could get more sensitive and that she wouldn't be the Most violent person ever, but he expected her to be a lot more okay with them fighting back even if whatever is hurting them is being controlled or something

flora also had the expectation that helia was a lot more open with his emotions. i've said this sooo many times so i think everyone knows this by now, but helia Sucks at sharing his emotions and thoughts, especially the "negative" ones like anger, sadness, jealousy, etc. because of his more artistic, and admittedly emotional side, she thought he would be very open with her about all of these things, and she ended up getting really surprised because he just isn't like that.

one thing that i really love about florelia is that they're really understanding when the other doesn't meet their expectations, especially when those expectations were based on assumptions or literally nothing. flora may get uncomfortable with helia being okay with violence, but she also understands that it's literally their job and that he's just trying to protect people. helia may get frustrated with flora telling them to Not hurt the animal trying to kill them, but he also understands that she's the fairy of nature and is usually right about there being a different, more peaceful approach. flora sometimes gets sad about helia not telling her things right away, but she also understands his emotional needs and that she can't push him to talk when he's not ready

i feel like So Much of the winx club relationship drama is centered around them having these wild expectations of their partner and then getting mad at them for not meeting them. like musa getting mad at riven for not understanding her more meanwhile riven has a history of not getting social/emotional cues. or tecna being mad that timmy wasn't Stronger or Braver meanwhile he literally is but in ways that she didn't immediately notice or care about. flora and helia are definitely not perfect, but they have a much healthier understanding of each other. they Know that they can't expect the other to change in drastic ways, and they actively try to work with each other instead of against each other. like helia choosing to listen to flora when she says Don't Hurt That Animal because he knows she wouldn't say that for no reason, even if he doesn't immediately understand why she's saying it. or flora choosing to give helia space so he can brood before talking to her ajdgla

them being able to overcome these weird expectations they had of each other really boils down to them actively trying to understand the other in good faith rather than just getting mad because "oh they're not what i thought they would be like".

thinking about reed's worldview & morality makes me feel sooo insane this guy contains such multitudes it's crazy

(major spoilers for reed's backstory)

like i mean when you take into account all of tesilid's timelines you see him at his lowest and then get up from it and you realise that hey his lowest was pretty low but it really is so far from his default. he did commit atrocities but like it's not an inherent part of him. when he decided comitting atrocities wasn't worth it anymore he did just stop, because being evil wasn't really very important to him anyway.

my read on reed's motivation is that it's not really about him being evil and wanting to cause pain, but a desperate attempt to save himself. i don't really see all his mass murdering as him being inherently evil tbh because like. he had saved the world 8+ times and all of that reset. what is the worth of other people's lives, when any joy they experience, any pain they felt, would no longer exist except for in his memories? i think to reed, every other person becomes like a video game character. it's perhaps disturbing but the immorality of killing them is a little suspect because death and suffering doesn't even have long-term consequences for said person anyway. reed causing some massive destruction is just... morbid entertainment? reed certainly smiles (smirks) more than he ever does as tesilid. glad he's having fun(?). like everyone in the timeline is going to die anyway according to his plans, and they and anyone else who lived didn't have a future even if he did fail, so what does it matter if they died now or not.

but even after he's become uncorrupted tesilid again, it's still clear that he remains angry and vengeful. he chokes and scares the bandit leader Just Because. The bandit leader in this timeline doesn't even know what tesilid is taking revenge for, so all that scaring is really just for tesilid's own satisfaction. Scaring the hell out of the bandit leader is important enough to tesilid that he risks ailette seeing this happen if she just turned around a little early. And in the pandora's box dungeon, he lied to the order of light pillars about having lost his memories about the sculptor's atelier, but "don't worry my memories are coming back!" There's literally no reason for him to lie in this particular way, if not to see them squirm. and he purposely leaves them with ailette, whom he knows will beat them black and blue for him. he's still going to sacrifice himself for others and put himself in danger, but he's not above some schadenfreude and taking delight in the pain of those who'd wronged him, he's not some saint.

he's still angry and vengeful but even as readers we rarely get to see this side of him, because there are things more important to him than revenge. And doesn't that say something about his capacity to love and to be good. Even after hitting the lowest of low, he still picks himself up. He cares about Ailette's safety so much and tries to get along with her family. I kind of wonder if he woke up and went yeah that "destroy everything" plan was kind of whatever let's try something else this time, and picked up his moral compass where he dropped it under the kitchen counter. his attitude to cardinal cartelyena dooming him to a really terribad punishment is really just "yah i was objectively bad so i don't even hold anything against you lol".

like. shakes him up and down. the way he decides to mass murder and then some time after goes actually you know what sorry god that wasn't very nice of me i think i'll be good this time and he genuinely means it. it's so funny he has such a range and it doesn't compromise the integrity of his character at all, his core still feels the same. do you get me. like he's always been intrinsically inclined towards doing good and he has a great deal of patience, but he can also snap and be angry and decide to just be evil but it also doesnt make his inclinations towards goodness any less real you know what i mean.

also he's so good at lying that it's funny. he's lying all the time and no one even questions it, because why would he lie? he's the pushover doormat who always sacrifices himself for others. the only way you would know that he's lying was if you already somehow knew the truth. and you sure as hell aren't getting it out of him. honesty being a virtue (generally speaking) and he doesn't have an ounce of it. and none of the people in universe would even consider it.

edit: i realised that it's not really accurate to say that destroying the world wasn't that important to reed anyway, because reed did expressedly reject ailette because he was so hell-bent on destroying the world. ah well we all have times when we hit rock bottom and he sure hit at least 500km past that. whatever, the point is that he did that and then went oh whoops let's not do that this time and genuinely meant it. what a guy. i love all the character development he goes through. and the great changes he goes through doesn't feel contrived at all.

Okay I made a joke post about it a while back but I have actual thoughts about the Marie Mizuguchi novel. It's sort of long and rambling and personal, so I am gonna put it under the cut because I just kinda went off.

This book was an emotional rollercoaster for me to go through, in a good way. Genuinely went from being hilarious to a gutwrenching portrayal of what living with severe C-PTSD/BPD is like and what it Does To Your Brain.

You cannot convince me Marie doesn't have something going on vis a vis Naruko. I'm sorry. Her actions do not make sense is this isn't true.

Like look there's no good reason for her plan to be, "I am going to be honest and specifically avoid lying to you and tell you I am a Musician and I haven't revealed my identity to anyone except for you." She could've easily told a different lie for the same end goal but she picked THAT ONE.

She literally CHOSE to do that. Why Did She Do That.

Literally waited until the last possible second to do it too. Literally had numerous opportunities to do so earlier but no she does this at the last moment.

Actually Insane about this tbh.

The moment where Wicked passes out because she thinks the GHC Prez has figured her out and then he's like, "No I just wanted to ask her a question about the festival" is a fascinating to me as a portrayal of a PTSD attack.

Fuck Takahiro Suou this is an anti-Takahiro Suou Blog.

She's genuinely so paranoid and I mean that as affectionately as possible. She really just portrays what the hell trauma that bad does to your brain's ability to interpret social cues and it Fucks With Me.

For the first two scenes I was laughing along with this book. It's actually hilarious. The bit of:

Literally Anyone: *Says something*

Marie: I want to fucking kill myself. I want to kill them. I want to stab my own eardrums out with a fork. I wish everyone in the world was dead.

It never gets boring for me. And then over time it goes from funny to heartbreaking so like, kudos.

There Is Something So Wrong With Her (affectionate)

μ throughout this book is very cute I love her. She's really just Trying Her Best. Failwoman.

So funny that her trauma is listed as "Sociopathy" in the game when that woman fucking BLEEDS empathy from every pour.

Literally she wants someone to understand her so badly but does not trust anyone to be able to and so sabotages every relationship she forms. Projects her trauma onto literally everyone and lashes out. Zero coping skills.

Transference levels are off the charts w/ her.

I love her so much and wish we got to see her in CE2 in more than the Bad Ending. Which this book truly recontextualizes in a fascinating way.

Get the vibe that she'd probably like the second Go-Home Club more than she did the first (insofar as she like, likes anyone/anything) but can't quite articulate why

She deserves to have a messy, codependent romance with someone I think it would do Things to her.

In conclusion: Insane About Her, tbh

I’ve been rereading everything in the staticverse bc it’s honestly become like such a great source of comfort for me and ily so much for it.

but as i was rereading i was struck by just HOW MUCH i love it. so i compiled a little list for you 💗

1. you have put absolutely insane amounts of detail into this and i appreciate it so fucking much you have no idea. there is layers upon layers upon layers of lore and plot connections and just UGH.

2. static. that’s it. end of story. just static.

2.2 okay so i know that you have your concerns about creating a reader that might be interpreted as “too similar” to the author but fuck that it’s bullshit. this is your work this is your creation you get to do whatever the fuck you want with it.

2.3 also static is such a badass and it’s honestly so refreshing to see a x reader fanfic where she isn’t a total mary sue or just the human embodiment of a slice of white bread. static is NOT BLAND she is NOT BORING. she has her faults she has her flaws and it makes her so much more relatable as a character. it’s so much easier to like step into the readers shoes when they’re a fully fleshed out character as opposed to a blank slate to project yourself onto. the way that you write static and her interactions with everyone around her is honestly on a whole other level and i like cant describe it it’s just so ajsjfosnsnajakakadjd

3. adding onto my like static and her interactions thing, dude. the way you portray her relationships with each different character so differently and yet so HER is insane. it shows how phenomenally multifaceted she is and i just genuinely love it

4. whenever the story is being “narrated” by a different character, your writing changes tone so well without losing its quality. there’s a stark (haha get it) difference between the way tony narrates as opposed to say steve or harley or even static herself and that’s something that i love with my entire fucking heart. you’re able to so seamlessly blend these characters together to create a beautiful tapestry of a world within the MCU and have i mentioned that i love it?

5. the EFFORT you put into this is unparalleled. like genuinely you could wake up tomorrow and say “im done writing this forever” and delete all of your work and i would still be happy that i got to be a small part of it. everything about the way that you world built and character developed and connected events is just SO GOOD LIKE????

6. this is embarrassing lowkey but static has like become my personality now? if im in a situation where im nervous or intimidated i just think about the avengers ft static when she goes to recruit Steve and he says something along the lines of “people didn’t hold themselves like that unless they were truly very sure of themselves” (i BUTCHERED that ik and im so sorry about it but i hope you know what point im referencing) and it like HELPS A LOT!!!

7. i originally read this bc im a slut for bucky barnes but i adore the way that it’s expanded to become more of just a series about static herself. you’ve developed such an interesting and exciting character that just like reading about what she ate for breakfast would make my month. and i will shamelessly admit that when she said “steve wasn’t the love of her life, bucky isn’t the love of her life, morgan is the love of her life” (again butchering the quote i am so disappointed in myself) i teared up. bc like while i am simply a hole made special for james barnes it was just so nice to see that this was a (cliché alert) strong, independent, female character who’s life didn’t revolve around a love interest. and no one looks for that in x reader fanfiction but it’s such a blessing that you were able to make it and i was able to find it.

8. this series and these fics are literally like free therapy and i love you more than static loves morgan, harley, and peter

when I tell you, I sobbed on a random tuesday morning after reading this....

I had been feeling really fucking shitty and then I woke up, i read this, first thing in the morning and honestly? Depression? Cured. Skin? Cleared. Laundry? Folded.

This was so personal to me. I just.. I cannot express how much this means to me, no matter how hard I try. It moves me so much that you noticed all the little information I had scattered throughout the story thinking like, 'oh this will be a fun callback when i read it later' only to find out you were following along!!!! This is literally the best feeling ever.

Whenever I'm having a shit day, questioning my 'talents' at work (because my job is in a similar zone) I come back to read this and I'm like yeah, well. @third-broparcelicito loved my shit so I cannot be that bad lmao.

okay, disclaimer this is mainly my opinion cause im very picky for no good reason. this isn’t hate or anything, by the way.

one.) personalities. yes, i do blame personalities on setting, now this isn’t necessarily bout the nrc itself but the backgrounds of the characters.

the queen of hearts is not an exception to ‘we’re all mad here.’ i don’t think riddle should be as strict as he is, well actually, i think he is the right amount of strict but maybe he could be more insane?? not like a psycho, but yes psycho. i personally think that riddle would be much calmer and smiley, in a scarier way. he wouldn’t turn as red unless he’s upset, when flustered it’ll be a different kind of blushing. he probably won’t be easy to fluster, cause i don’t think he’d take compliments seriously. most he’d received were either mocking or forced, not really genuine. this has to do with my headcanon that the qoh killed her last lovers because of their ‘insincerity’ towards her, considering she’s mad i doubt she’s easy to genuinely love.

i haven’t watched the lion king, but i don’t think scar is actually asleep all the time. i know lions sleep a lot, but that’s because they already have everything. the ladies that bring food, shelter so forth. you could say leona has the same thing, but he doesn’t have the people’s respect. his brother has everything, if he’s like scar that should be something he wants. he wouldn’t sleep all the time, but plotting on how to get the one thing he doesn’t have.

two.) it’s hard to see the characters that aren’t in the same dorm interact with each other. i know it happens in game but i just can’t picture anything other than it.

in the nrc, it feels as though everyone is competing with everyone. this probably is true to an extent actually, but in my mind it messes with the flow of dialogue. no one agrees with people out of their dorm (except maybe 1st years) and there is just constant bickering.

when writing im often forced to consider dynamics like this, which is near impossible if no one gets along! no new faces can show up, no new dynamics can be made... maybe im just being overdramatic.

three.) there's nothing to know about other character's backstories.

I LITERALLY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT LEONA RN TELL ME ABT RUGGIE!! each chapter, the dorm leader is the villain (jamil exception) so we only get to know about them. hate to say this, but that's boring asl.

we never get to a deep dive in ace or deuce or characters like that unless it's an event or something. new people won't be ble to learn their lore in the actual story (where it should be or at least in their cards, cause i can understand the story is already v long)

i hate having to look at the wiki for sprinkles of info about characters we talk to once or twice but do nothing for the plot (ehem, jack, you forgot him too huh.)

so i technically watched all but the last 20 minutes of kp like, four days ago, and then J and I had to stop because it was too insane and we ran out of energy, and then we just finished today. uh. thoughts?

J called it 'the puella madoka magica of BL' at one point and we both also repeatedly compared it to 365 Days, the insane terrible trilogy about a woman who gets kidnapped by a mafia guy and then marries him. EXCEPT actually 365 Days is better because she breaks up with the first mafia guy when he gets even more abusive than before and gets herself a nice boyfriend who treats her right. still in the mafia but we can't have it all. (this is partly a joke. I am not saying the 365 days books are good. this is about the specific plot point) but anyway. the 'oh this is x genre-oh no wait this is horrifying' of it all

i knew kinn and porsche had to end up together because. title :((( but god i was rooting SO hard for it to not happen somehow. PVP is still the realest they all have better chemistry. ending of the heart is that vegas and porsche and pete all like fake their deaths in an explosion or something and move to another country with chay and macau. they can get a house together and vegas can make a proper kink room instead of draping his bedroom with aesthetic chains and porsche can open a bar because by god it might not be the healthiest job for him but it's 100x better than the mafia

the way they spend the whole time showing how horrific the mafia is like not even on a 'killing and shaking down people and various other crimes etc' level but on a 'loyalty in this environment only gets you killed and everyone is super dysfunctional and relationships cannot flourish in this environment' level and then the end is. yaaaay everyone's happy in the mafia! porsche is the head of a mafia family now! yaaaaaay

i do not for a single millisecond believe anything that comes out of korn's mouth. genuinely one of the most rancid skin-crawling assholes i've seen in a while and he lives. the fuck

relatedly i actually wound up feeling really bad for gun in the last ep, like... he's a fucked up dude and abusive but he has SUCH glaring emotional problems (in a way that reminded me in places of vegas) and the way he reacts to korn is soso. 'dealing with bitch who's gaslighted you before', which made him way more sympathetic than korn. (I do not for a minute believe the whole 'oh uh he raped porche's mom and that made her take magic pills that conveniently made her into a docile doll for korn to keep as an atticwife')

relatedly! PORSCHE'S MOM IS A FUCKING ATTICWIFE

*takes porsche by the shoulder and points* honey that's you in five years. get the fuck out of here

but like wow!! the way even her sons just treat her as an object to have feelings at instead of a damaged person and the series literally ends with a focus on her dead-eyed face as she's hugged without her consent! awful! also feels thematic!

love how porsche gives chay a speech about how he totally loves him and is going to be there for him and then proceeds to risk his life recklessly and stay in the mafia, both things chay Specifically Asked Him Not To Do

moment of positivity; despite everything, the after-credits scene of vegas having survived and getting to cuddle with his two favorite people was so healing

but like.... porsche ends the series in a job he once swore he'd rather die than do, with a guy who after one time never apologizes for any of his shitty actions, surrounded by Kinn's friends instead of his own. but uh kinn made him a drink i'm sure that makes up for everything

Really wish we had a bit more closure for kim and chay - it kind of felt like they needed more scenes the whole way along and then it kind of closes out with a big ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ mostly I really wanted them to properly confront each other, but I would have settled for an indication that chay was going to continue to block him (probably healthy) or maybe be open to talking again (unwise for him probably, but i Do want the best for my dead-eyed boy so i'm conflicted)

so overall like. I really enjoyed the bits of porsche and pete and vegas interacting along the way, and how vegas and pete got to close the series (though I still think they should fake their deaths). the swerve from slightly more normal crime/family drama to EXTREME GOTHIC was. A Lot. justice for porsche's sexy lamp mom whose name i cannot remember i'm sorry ma'am. #freeporsche. overall i think i'm going to be digesting this for a bit and then probably move on, but I'm glad I watched it

OKAY SO UHM. HEART YEAH?!? Yeah. Uhm. I didnt Know what to expect when i saw the ‚heart appears in this chapter‘ tw but. I will at least give them that it was not as bad a tw as normal with them.

And in Heart‘s defence they literally show up trying to make sure Anne‘s body doesnt start deteriorating and then while theyre there everyone starts yelling at them about how much they hate them and want them to leave immediately. Like all things considered they handled that Great with only the slightest bit of accidental violence

My notes started getting a bit sparce when they showed up because i just. If i didnt i would have put Everything in here. Its like. I dont even know where to start like What. The way they talk to Witney man…. And like. BRO WHEN WITNEY STOOD UP TO THEM SO REAL. that moment when u finally get the courage to stand up for urself because u wanna help out ur new bestie because shes missing her gf who almost died and just wants to hug her for a little bit. Don’t even get me STARTED on Marcy‘s argument about Witney being a different person now,,,,,,,,, the BELOVEDS. I love them. Time to be insane over Heartney forever and ever again now welp

Like I have said, having Heart show up was one of the parts I was MOST excited for.

NOBODY likes Heart. That’s the funny part. Besides Witney, everyone who interacts with them in this chapter harbors an intense amount of resentment for them, whether they’ve been harmed by Heart or had a loved one that was. And even Witney is starting to see them in a more negative light. Not one person was comfortable with them being able to just walk around. And can you blame them? The last time most of the Wartwoodians saw them, they were attacking Sasha and breaking the music box. This is all very dangerous territory, and they have no idea that Heart and Anne have been talking, or that Anne is giving them some trust. This is just another game, another trick.

Heart knows that’s how they feel. They’re used to everyone around them absolutely despising them. So they know now to handle this situation delicately. I also think it went great, even if there was some accidental violence. Harming Maddie was entirely an accident, and what’s extra interesting is that Maddie actually recognizes it as an accident while her friends are very quick to point fingers. Maddie is the least affected by Heart’s presence since she’s never had direct contact with them before now. So her bias about them is not nearly as awful, and it allows her to see when they didn’t mean to hurt her. We have to appreciate Maddie for keeping a cool head during this whole incident and largely being the one to suggest waking Heart back up. If not they might’ve been trapped in the purple void until Anne woke up. How horrible would that be?

Oh Heartney…. My beloved. There’s something that can be said about how Heart’s spoken to Witney like this for a thousand years and how jarring it is now that Witney just doesn’t take it anymore. I like how Heart is genuinely surprised when Witney says no to them. Imagine all the messed up things that Heart’s done that Witney’s just. Gone along with. Standing up for herself and deciding she can form her own opinions is huge for her character development. Witney deserves better and it’s about damn time he realized it himself. I particularly like this section:

“Forgive me for not trusting you at present,” Witney prefaces. “But I have someone to protect now. You understand, don’t you?” Even Marcy can tell this pains her to say. Every word is a struggle, every sound hurts more and more and it’s remarkable she can stand her ground in the face of their biggest threat at present, but it must be different now that she has Marcy.

They let out a small chuckle. “Looks like I’m not the only one who’s attached. What happened to you, Wit?”

“Time,” she tells them. “And more kindness and care in one person than two centuries of twisted maniacs.”

They relax, finally, allow Marcy her clinging for now because Witney’s not going to let up either.

“It’s a good thing,” they say. “What are we if not for our vessels? I was beginning to think you’d never care.”

The difference between Witney and Heart has always been their perceptions of their vessels. Witney spent so long being afraid of hers meanwhile Heart was extremely possessive and controlling of theirs. They believe now that Witney has changed for the better in terms of fiercely defending his vessel, but with it comes the territory of Witney gaining a lot more autonomy. Now she can make her own decisions, and that means Heart’s control over him has begun to slip. While this should be a good thing overall, it also means there will be arguments between the two of them, because now Heart can’t just get everything they want from Witney. They aren’t used to this. They will have to get used to it.

And I like how Marcy is so insistent that Witney’s a different person now. She out of the gems has changed the most drastically since a thousand years ago, but the other two don’t tend to recognize it. Heart in particular keeps trying to treat him the same way they did a thousand years ago, and it simply will not work anymore. She just isn’t who she was then. There will be a new dynamic between the three of them from now on.

Will join u for sure <3 I hyperfocus on each gem ship at different times but I come back to Heartney so often it’s ridiculous. I love these little funky dudes

I saw Thor: Love and thunder yesterday and...it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either, it just okay. I'm also not really a big marvel and could give a rats ass about Thor. I love DC far more, going to go ahead and say that, because I want to talk about the pros and cons of this movie.

Warning: These are MY PERSONAL opinions, I'm not forcing anyone to agree with me. Also spoilers, MAJOR spoilers

I'll start with pros: I think the God butcher is a good villian, I like him (Also the fact I couldn't tell it was Christian Bale until my sister told makes it even better). But I thought the God butcher's motives were justified and excellent. Like the man devotes his whole life to serving this God and when he meets him, the God is a total asshole. On top of that his daughter is dead along with his whole village. I also love God butcher's design, it's simple but its good. The scars on him from taking his tattoos off? Bro they looked so badass. I love that he's just in rope too. I love the nercosword, it's such a cool weapon. Bonus points for it making God butcher literally go more insane and taking his life at the same time.

I love the whole scene with Zeus, that was one part of the movie that actually got a chuckle out of me. I love of how all the most powerful God's ever are just sitting on their asses watching Zeus do whatever (at least that's what I got from it). But I do wanna know how accurate that got all the other God's, because I don't trust Disney to have actually done their research when doing that part. Although I don't care for Chris Hemsworth, he does have a nice ass. So bonus points for casting someone with a nice ass. Also the recations of everyone when Zeus made him naked, was so funny. The part also had the best fighting scene to me. I loved the background, the move sets, and the gold blood going everywhere. Iiked when the rock dude became just a face, I think that is how he should always look. Also, Thor's lightening mixing with Zeus's lightening was very cool and pretty.

I thought it was really cute when the children had Thor's powers for a limited time. That part was done pretty well

I loved that the guardians of the galaxy weren't in the whole movie and that they left very quickly.

I liked the first planet Thor was at because the aliens that lived there were funny. I loved their designs, location, and how they talked with Thor. They also actually made me genuine laugh.

I like that Eternity got a human body. I think Marvel/Disney can do something really interesting and cool with that in another Thor movie, or give Eternity its own movie. I would just liked it if they took that opportunity they just gave themselves.

However, I do hate the ending so on to Cons now: I liked that Jane died because I don't like (she gets on my nerves), but they shouldn't have killed her off. The reason being because now they can't make a woman Thor movie...she's dead. I hope they don't because I don't know how they are going to make sense that "hahahaha she's actually not dead bc blah blah blah." They should have had make Jane woman Thor, given her her own movie, and then made Thor: Love and thunder. I don't like that the God Butcher didn't kill all the God's. I know he can't actually do that because then no more Thor movies, but still. This man just spent so much time killing off God's, just for a God themselves to be like "no, choose love." He also wasn't even doing all this just because his daughter died, his whole village died and he lost complete trust in the God's. His whole deal was that no one should trust or worship God's because they don't actually care about their followers. I feel like when Thor saying he should choose love, should've been his finally breaking point and wish for all God's to die. Thor is God...why would the God Butcher start listening to a God again? Also they did this because in the movie they said Thor would be a good dad, but at the same time Jane was dying...they literally made God Butcher wish for his daughter to be alive again just so Thor could have a kid. Again through, why would God Butcher wish for his kid, she's ending up being a God and raised by a God...He would hate this.

Most of the comedy was cringe, cheesy, and corny all in one. I hate those screaming goats so much, they were so annoying everytime they were on screen. I really thought/wanted them to eat them but they never died. Turns outs space goats are the strongest thing to ever exist. Every joke Thor made or any comedic thing he did, was just bad. Everytime he tried to make a joke, made me cringe and awkward smile. I hate how he's "cheating" on his hammer. It's so stupid, the whole joke is just "hahahhah look he's when his ex's and he misses them...but what about his current love?" It's just not as fun as they think it is.

I don't like the gay rock thing. It was from a company who doesn't hate LGBTQ+ people, I wouldn't mind it. But coming from Disney I just feel like they're mocking gay men and them having kids. I don't know much about Valkyrie and her girlfriend so I can't say how good the lesbian rep is, but again it's from Disney and they're just trying to seem like they don't hate gay people.

I really thought that Thor was going to duel wield Mojmir and Stormbreaker, but he never did. That really disappointed me. They could have made Thor do something so cool, but they didn't. Plus Zeus's lightening bolt? Thor would have been so powerful and badass for once, but nope.

Okay I saw this in IMAX, so it isnt really that major, but the IMAX was a huge disappointment too. Most of the time it was just standing next to the Thor. I would have loved to be more in battle, flying with Mojmir or Stormbeaker, and maybe one pov where I'm getting hit with lightening. But instead I just felt like a 3rd wheel for most of the movie. Also when Thor was fighting I didn't even feel like part of the battle, I just staring at Thor.

They didn't keep Thor's dad bod so minus lots of points. I really wish they would make him have actually Thor's body. Actually Thor is a huge glutton and is always drinking alcohol, so in turn he's fat and huge.

I don't like the music choice, they play some songs at the wrong time and some songs should've never been in the movie. Like "Welcome to the Jungle", I don't get why this was in the movie. I know this song is mostly used for when a character is kicking ass, but I just think it should be played when a character is kicking ass in a JUNGLE. "Sweet Child O' Mine" was played at the wrong time, they should have used it when during the kids fighting. They literally have Thor's powers.

The message of the whole film sucks. Choose love instead of hate...how rich coming from Disney.
