[season 1]
- bombs entire thing is that he stutters, thats his only character trait to the point others ignore him cuz he takes too long to talk
- paper basically having did/osdd but its the good ol ''evil alter'' trope
- pickle flat out saying mephone combined with the r slur.
- bomb does most of the work in the race challenge, rightfully wins and then oj is a dick and says ''hes smarter'' and the show starts acting like BOMB was in the wrong for getting upset ''bomb why! havent you caused me enough pain?'' no oj, he really hasnt, you deserved worse.
- knife constantly torments paper, reminding him of his fears time and time again. that isnt funny.
[season 2]
- tissues is chronically ill and treated like hes a disgusting creature, tissues allegedly is based on a real person adam and taylor knew. theyre mocking this person. [EDIT!!! According to Adam's recent post, the real person allegation is false. Idk for sure but I'll clarify anyway.]
- yinyang.
- hot take but fan isnt good rep. he repeatedly crosses peoples boundaries and flat out IGNORES any criticism he gets. ill talk abt cabby in a bit but fan is generally unlikeable
- soap is [i think] mocking people with ocd or germophobia, shes constantly treated like shes overreacting as if its not a mental disorder
- nickel is an ableist cunt and hes like one of the worst characters in this show [for the sake of elaboration he gave suitcase a fucking psychotic disorder]
- suitcases psychosis is only acknowledged in s3 when its used to fuel nickels bullshit
[season 3]
- can we talk about how fucking creepy it is that tt and fan made a robot version of a DEAD PERSON
-blueberry is being mocked just like tissues was
- everything with cabby, shes likeable alone but the show treats her so badly [it reminds me of entrapta from shera] bot takes away her MEMORY AID, test tube uses them against her, fan takes his without her consent. this is ableism 101. and they made her throw them away cuz ''oh you dont NEED them'' IS THIS THE SONG MASK FROM DREAM?? WHY ARE WE SUPPORTING THROWING AWAY OUR DISABILITY AIDS???

but some are like Blooming Into You, Adventure Time (or rather Stakes series b/c Bubbline, Shera, Little Witch Academia, Lycoris Recoil, RWBY (BUMBLEBY RAAAH), AoT ONLY FOR HISTORIA AND YMIR TBH and i didnt even make it past s3 i think, JJK was fun and i like NobaMaki but then Nobara got offed so idc rn

i was so excited for the new winx reboot sneak peak i kind of forgot to write down my initial thoughts so here it is (i’m so curious on how this opinion of mine will hold up once the show comes out!!)
first impressions - i actually really like it!
look, i love 2d animation just as the next guy, but i don’t think we’re ever getting back the s1-s4 animation (2d animation from s5-onwards was SO stiff and jarring looking, huge no thank you), and if that’s the case, i think the 3d style that they went for in the reboot is one of the better solutions for it.
it’s vibrant! it’s colourful! it’s giving “magical girls”! it just looks aesthetically pleasing! also i’m OBSESSED with the way they animate their hair, especially bloom’s, it’s giving “bratz series” level of eyegasm hair animation for me. so getting this after the moody, edgy, dramatic “fate: the winx saga” tone set in, i am so relieved we are going back to our roots babeey!! (now here’s to hoping that animation doesn’t tank as the series goes on like how miraculous ladybug is animated by like, 2 different studios and then one episode feels amazing and the other is “hm”)
now for bloom:
her iconic bangs are back baby!! i love how they translated them into 3d without them being too uncanny. the outfit is very cute, but can we PLEASE stop putting bloom in pink?? one of her major appeals as a main character in a girly show was that she wasn’t a pink lead! and blue works so well with her colour palette of red hair & blue/turquoise eyes it’s just aaaaah! replace the pink parts with blue and she’s perfect. (tbh these are still wip, so it could change!)
i’m still warming up to the idea of denim leg warmers though, they look weird to me now (will probably get used to them) but they kind of go with her character, because it looks likeee our bloom s1-s3 personality is back!!!!!! I’M SO HAPPYYY like YES!!! i missed her for a DECADE
next up is mitzi!
they nailed her design imo. she looks like original mitzi, but she also feels like a proper, “updated” version of her look. modern, but not too modern so she’s stuck in the era, but also retains the character of og mitzi. overall, no complaints on my part, only praises!
and then we have the new logo!
IT’S JUST DOING THINGS TO ME IDK it feels so pleasing to the eye?? the purple to orange gradient is just right, the pink is sprinkled in just right and the blues are there to accent it, it’s just. SO AESTHETICALLY PLEASING to me it truly does feel like a natural update on the og winx logo. it’s amazing!!
and if their transformation is the one originally leaked in 2021?? i think it’s on a very good path to being a great reboot! now i’m still really trying to keep my hopes as low as possible, because rarely do i watch a reboot of a beloved series and think it’s on par or better than the og (actually, only shera really comes to mind…), but! i am liking what i’m seeing! i choose to trust mister straffi on this one!!

rewatching she ra and it reminded me of the rp i did four years ago and one of the main plots (there were like several main big plots that we just moved onto and came up with, a lot of them were spurred on by me) was based on s3 of shera (the portal and stuff) and also Catra’s nickname by Scorpia “Wildcat” inspired me to come up with my serval oc Wildcat
really old style and art 😭😭
Wildcat was a member of a Shadow Tribe cult (which brainwashed and corrupted kits/pups/cubs and turned them to dark powers) which Halfmask got his dark side from and they were former friends
(this was the last plot before the rp died)
But then Halfmask in my old rp destroyed the cult and betrayed Wildcat, throwing her off a waterfall and almost dying, her eye getting hit on a rock and blinding her in her left eye
and in another rp with one friend, during the Dragon and Wolf War (something something Quint’s (my friends oc) team wanting and stealing the powerful dragon gem), she wanted revenge on Halfmask, teaming up with Quint who was also a former friend of Halfmask but got betrayed by him and killed then resurrected
Quint eventually gets redeemed, but Wildcat is pissed and shit
something something Wildcat’s memory is wiped and she is freed from the cult’s corruption by the Light Tribe

-> Steve Harrington is a demiromantic if I've ever seen one 👍
-> Lucy AND Natsu are also both on the aro spectrum btw. when I get the energy I'll make a post about it for all the zero (0) ft people that follow me <3
-> Henry Clerval from Shelley's Frankenstein is also aro. Some think he is in love with Victor but I Know the truth. The opposite is def true tho, Frankenstein is so smitten its embarrassing

-> Bow from SheRa. He is literally an archer. Like, cmon.

I don’t know if I’m the only one, but the primal magic and dark magic in The Dragon Prince reminds me of the sorcerors’ magic in the SheRa reboot.
Both primal mages and Mystacor sorcerors draw/trace runes in the air to cast spells.
And if they use dark magic, they are tainted by it — eg. in The Dragon Prince Sol Regem senses it in Callum in S3 ep1, and Glimmer and Micah’s spells glow pink/purple instead of the usual blue because they (briefly) used dark magic through association with Shadow Weaver.

SYSTEM CROSSOVER FIC LETS GOOOOO
Anyway I’m back at it with begging for elaborations.
HELLO THANK U FOR ASKING SO!!!
I love giant crossovers so much (evidence: my hobbit Macarena fanfic) and so I am writing another!!! Plot goes as such;
Bingqiu be chillin a few years post canon, which is great for them!! But the System gets very fucking BORED bc their domestic bliss has nothing for it to fuck w other than the occasional side quest— the main quest is done, the spice has gone, due to sqq amassing a frankly Stupid amount of points he was able to buy a perk to discuss the System w Lbh so now they’re just having a great happy relationship and the System wants to fix SOMETHING!!!
So it gives them a quest. And they accept. And the System then goes into 7 other tragic gay universes to “fix” them too!!! So everyone is musical-chairs-style dumped into a new universe in another tragic gay couple’s bodies to fix that plot as best they can!!
Our characters are:
Ash/Eiji from banana fish in the bodies of Lance/keith from voltron (sometime mid s3 or somn, tryna kill zarkon)
Lance/keith from voltron in the bodies of Clarke/Lexa from the 100 (in ep 4ish tryna broker peace between trikru and the arkers)
Clarke/Lexa from the 100 in the bodies of Barbie/The Fairie Queen from Barbie swan lake (toward the beginning of the movie tryna defeat Rothbart)
Barbie/the fairie Queen from Barbie swan lake in the bodies of Dean/Castiel from supernatural (sometime in the beginning of s13 tryna kill god)
Dean/Castiel from supernatural in the bodies of Catra/Adora from shera (sometime in the beginning of the show, tryna kill horde prime)
Catra/adora from shera in the bodies of Wei Wuxian/Lan Wangji from mo dao zu shi (when they’re like 17, tryna end the war w the wens)
And finally, Wei Wuxian/Lan Wangji in the bodies of Ash/Eiji from banana fish (in like ep 2, tryna rescue themselves and skip from marlen and get to Eiji’s family in Japan)
Meanwhile poor fucking bingqiu is tryna put everyone back in their correct universe 😂😂😂😂

i dunno if i have any for tdp (there are a couple of fanon rarepairs i'm not into, but nothing that's canon) but i guess for "Ship that is canon but you don’t ship: 💤"
probably allura/lance from voltron (horror stories i know). i didn't mind them in s3 and s4, but in s1-2 with the constant pushy flirting and s5-6 with the intense jealousy on lance's side really put me off from it, so i just could not care about them in s7/8 (nor did i fully watch either of those seasons, although for unrelated reasons)
also seahawk/mermista and catra/adora from shera. think i've talked about those two a bit on here before but they're just not my cup of tea
