please tell the story how you met Damon albarn please please
it’s been over a decade and i still physically cringe thinking about it so i will not be going into detail for my own sanity but basically i was around 8 or 9 and i was hanging about while him and my dad were talking. and there was an Incident with a yoghurt that someone had given me which ended with me crying and begging my dad to go home.
anyway. i have met him a handful of times since and unfortunately he did remember 😭😭😭

I've always found Mari's headspace design interesting.
It's shown in the game that shoes aren't allowed at the picnic blanket for fear of it getting dirty. Everyone has to take them off before going. Even socks have to go. I think it's actually mentioned somewhere, so if I come across the actual dialogue I'll show it, but even without it's still a very clear unspoken rule.
But Mari- who would probably be the biggest advocate for this since it's her picnic- is the ONLY character in headspace wearing shoes. And she's the one constantly at them.
While it's true that in the headspace variants of a few of the photos Mari's barefoot, it's because Sunny is either remembering the memory that way or it's to prove a point (e.g. the feet circle photo where everyone looks the same except OMORI- if Mari were wearing her shoes the impact of this would be lessened immensely and it wouldn't drive home the point of OMORI being vastly different to his friends as hard).
So why is Mari, the one character who's constantly at picnics, where you're not allowed to wear shoes, wearing shoes? It's almost as if she's prepared to leave...
...Oh. She is.

Having OC x Canon be your favourite ship is very difficult cause you keep hearing songs and thinking 'omg this is so them I could make an animatic for this' but then you remember only you and maybe 3 other people would see/get it

in therapy today i just talked about the dark urge and astarion and my therapist was elated about it. it was fantastic. “wow you’ve really been using this story and those characters to process things. that’s amazing!”
the era of being ashamed of my interests is over. it’s apparently Cool and Healthy to use fiction to cope. i wish i could tell fifteen year old me about this it would blow her mind

Mari's dad is 6'5'', looks a bit intimidating but is actually the sweetest person is existence, he's a chef with his own restaurant but when the kids were younger he was the stay at home dad because working hard to provide for the family is his wife's love language. He went to every recital, performance and match every one of his children had and always brought delicious snacks/cheered for people whose parents were too busy to come. He went for a double-barrelled name when he married his wife Ayame because he thought her name was super pretty and he's just generally a man with a lot of love to give. Toxic masculinity is dead and Juan Carlos Rodriguez-Hagihara slaughtered it tbh.
He and Mari watch trashy telenovelas every week and spend most of their time shouting at the screen.
