Willow Month day 1: favorite character

To absolutely no one's surprise.

Now! To be fair! Jade was a close second (the yearning, the complexities, the Strong Woman With Sword), and i do find Boorman absolutely delightful but in the end it has to be Kit. Blorbo material of all times for the following reasons:

Girls (gender neutral) Who Are Their Father gotta stick together

Jade won my heart in the fighting department (due to polearm/sword combo and general Knightliness) but Kit has some really strong and hot combat moments, particularly when she gets clever and cocky about things. She may not have brute strength or full military training but she does have an attitude and some fancy footwork!

Nothing like a bravado loving yet insecure little weirdo to pull on my heartstrings

Because lets face it as cool, confident, and cocky as Kit can be she is also my pathetic queen. From Skellin onwards shes kinda just going around covered in grime with the worlds biggest saddest eyes. And im here for it.

im currently in the process of upgrading my dollhouse lighting, so the current atmosphere of the dollhouse isn’t inspiring me to take pics. however, all the lovely photos of everyone’s dolls in their costumes inspired me to take a few quick photos before I started changing all the outfits for winter gear.

i haven’t really been posting anything lately, but I’ve still been living my best doll life. I had a ton of fun figuring out costumes for (mostly) everyone. I even did a bit of sewing! I altered quite a few princess dresses and even sewed a batgirl cape for ivy!!

idk what is happening honestly so tired so eepy let boys run the errands with teddybeardog and i have some regrets ( tm )

#apparently she almost bit a child (but it was because said child carried bread or a sandwich so i bet she wanted. said sandwich)#(her favorite snack of all time is bread)#and also had her nails clipped and it was. very unpleasant #she had lots of stress today due to storms and her anxiety pills didn't do a great job :/#then a different person had to clip her nails #not usual doctors #she had to have a muzzle she was tryna bite :<<#maybe because it was hurty because there's this thing inside pet nails #called “proper claw” or something #and she has it and it's very long and it has nerves and all #she has it long due to being neglected in the past by previous owners so it grew and grew inside the nail that can be clipped #so we can't clip the nails short - short so we don't damage the nerves #apparently the doctor did clip a bit too short #and the boys tried to say that they can't be clipped this short but the lady was ukrainian and didn't speak polish #and teddybeardog bled a little #though she's a big girl and it didn't hurt her much but she was STRESSED #she also tripped on stairs and hit her head :(((#she only calmed down when she got to lay down and sleep with me #and now she's better #i just think i would've handled it all better #if i had not slept 2h yesterday and then spent 4 hours running other errands that made me pass out on bed unable to get up #i let teddybeardog have forbidden snackos for being so brave today #(raisins in chocolate)#dont come @ me i know what i'm doing #for a dog this big the amount of chocolate she was given does nothing #she will also have some chicken and cheese off my pizza #but then again they know teddybeardog and whats good for her i just know i am her comfort person despite how she looks at my boys #like theyre bread #and at me #like im just some guy TM

Mizuki route we’re in it now it gives so much subtext / context to Mizuki’s feelings you only truly get here, all of it. Mizuki fully knowing what a family can be, Mizuki grappling with loyalty to her abusive/ toxic family while realizing her family in Date, her truest sense is him, and finally breaking down? Not shying from how much pain no person should bear but she has? And she’s 12 but not diminishing her for it. All of it is laid on the table. It doesn’t shirk away. Personally, it shouldn’t. Mizuki is a fighter and capable of such vulnerability and so, so human.

How she doesn’t stop loving her biological family but recognizes they couldn’t be a healthy family when so much of her route she was in denial and a mixture of acceptance. And then finally that little step in Date’s Somnium Mizuki takes, not him, for herself, to choose him and run towards that ridiculous detective and not him convince her to grasp a healthier environment.. but Mizuki came to the conclusion of her own choice.

And she’ll never forget being an Okiura. A part of her always will be! It’s part of her, erasing that would be wrong. Good and bad things happen, even unspeakable things. It’s still possible in someone’s life. And in the beginning there are implications that things didn’t get to that horrifying point! Still not ideal, but a few precious memories .

Good, bad, traumatic feelings and indescribable feelings… she won’t stop loving them. But she is going to continue her life. She chose to, and that little step changed her life for the better by her own volition. She needs for her sake, to learn herself.

Just one little step but it created the Date family: “ It has to be you.” And Mizuki Date is born, without letting go of Mizuki Okiura. BOTH exist. One is her past to carry, the other her future to grow.

Mizuki chose how she wanted her family to be like, an ordinary family, and how to be treated, not Date, even if his love for her did so much, and I feel I’m going to be writing so many essay like analysis on them and their relationship because it's so crucial to both of them. So much I want to delve into beforehand also and handle it with care, as the topics deserve.

Just.. Mizuki .

#and it wouldn’t have such a beautiful conclusion / hopeful ending if Date had to tell her.#Mizuki did it herself and it’s just handled so beautifully and painfully she is my forever girl favorite #𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐘𝐒𝐈𝐒 *ೃ༄ seasons change but your heart never fails.#𝐎𝐎𝐂 *ೃ༄ what looks gone but comes back even stronger.#I just feel these insanely heavy topics were handled with such care. Mizuki wasn’t seen as anything but herself #the only healthy way would have been sadly for Mizuki to see how toxic it had all been by herself and still love her parents and still #not forget them still be unsure of her many many feelings #she can’t grow if SHE doesn’t choose much less remotely heal I hope I worded this right #I see Mizuki internally as fragile as she is incredibly brave and strong.#Ugh favorite female character hours every day and I’m not even finished #I don’t want to be finished with her route.#I could play it fifty times and still not fully grasp it or find something new #she’ll always grapple with her feelings that are equally negative and positive about renju and shoko #the topic of abuse is so heavy and I hope I worded Mizuki’s experiences and trauma respectfully #everyone’s is different #abuse tw #this doesn’t mean it’s erased. It doesn’t mean she won’t have habits. but she took a step towards something #and it’s so important that she chose to but it doesn’t /erase the abuse or neglect/ either.#honestly I get a bit worried because this is a big part of her storyline/ life and I want to do it Justice #Not just oh poor Mizuki I don’t want to.. cheapen it?#And I trust my mutuals if I’m not giving my 100 on these topics because ignoring them just.. no.#I want to write the good bad ugly all of it for Mizuki !!!#So please tell me if I leave anything out. smack, smack — gojo satoru x f!reader

a/n: special thanks to the beautiful @stinkyme for inspiring me to actually write this and for fangirling over the idea with me <3

gojo satoru, like any dad, got his fair share of ‘bullying’ from his daughter, his 5 months old baby.

some dads get peed on, others get their hair pulled, and others get their nose bitten on the daily. it's a little something to make them suffer a bit like the mothers had to during the pregnancy.

your husband, however, is always getting smacked in the face whenever he has his blindfold on, and I mean harshly smacked in the face and unforgiving scratching.

the first time it happened was when he was going to school. he was ready, uniform on and everything, but he simply had to say goodbye to his two girls.

skipping to your shared bedroom, he placed two big smooches on your face. then, after much of pulling him off you, he went to smooch his little girl. a big unmatched grin was on his face as he looked down at her in her crib.

he picked her up, cooing softly at her, “what a pretty girl, just as pretty as your mama, huh?”

satoru then laid her gently against his chest and started rocking her softly, while humming. after a while, he felt her stir a little in his arms. she sleepily looks up at him, and he smiles down at her, “good morning, baby—“

now, your daughter was used to seeing her dad without the blindfold. she was used to getting met by her dad's bright blue eyes.

so when a strange unknown man was holding her up instead of her papa, she started wailing and screaming, repeatedly smacking him in the face.

whenever her little—strong—hand landed on the blindfold, she would try to pull it off with all her baby might. you scrambled out of your bed at the loud screeches and screams of both your husband and your daughter.

you saw how satoru was desperately trying to, as gently as possible, make her release her grip. you stumbled on your words, before yelling, “your blindfold! take off your blindfold off!”

“I! am! trying!” he yelps as she continues slapping the hell out of his face.

you hurry and take his blindfold off, swiftly throwing it to the side. he started rocking her, smiling despite the red marks and scratches all over his handsome face, “it’s me, daddy! you see me?”

almost magically, your daughter calmed down in an instant with the occasional hiccup from her previous crying. he smiled, “there you go; that’s my girl.”

she gently made grabby hands at him, and he quickly pulled her back into his chest. your daughter instantly snuggled into his shoulder and hid her face in his neck.

you stared at him for a moment, “well, at least we know that she bloody hates that blindfold.”

it honestly kind of adds up.

you remember the many times that your daughter was generally distressed or fussy and instantly calmed down when she saw her dad’s eyes. you also remember that one time your daughter was actually zoning out while looking at satoru’s eyes, her own safe place.

satoru chuckles with a shrug, “I have you as my savior, anyway.”

“you can’t always count on me to be the one to save you from our daughter’s monstrously strong grip.”

and he can’t.

no one is brave enough to try and to fight back a baby, let alone the strongest sorcerer’s baby.

that attack happens way more than satoru would like. for example, whenever you’re busy, he takes his little princess to the school with him. in general, everyone helps in taking care of the little angel (devil in some cases).

however, god forbid she sees satoru coming back from a mission with his blindfold on.

it took some time for your husband to learn his lesson and immediately take his blindfold off before he entered the school. until then, he was prone to his daughter’s crazy strong hand smacking his face till his entire face is painted red and not the cute kind.

satoru never believed in his students to save him, except for yuuji. the first time it happened around the students, most of them were either laughing or speechless.

yuuji did try to save his sensei from his smacking machine of a daughter, but ended up getting smacked himself.

your husband did hope that, maybe, nanami’s heart would soften, and he would finally help him.

nanami’s heart did soften, just not for satoru. instead, your daughter now has a special soft spot in nanami’s heart, as he did in hers, but that isn’t our topic for today.

the amount of times you would enter the room to find nanami chuckling or smiling at your husband getting beaten to a pulp by your baby. satoru could be sobbing, “nanami, please! save me!”

and nanami would simply smile—sadistically—and hum, “I don’t think I will.”

you’re pretty sure that nanami believes this is god’s way of punishing your husband for all the mischief he caused.

ignoring that, it grips your heart how satoru’s face would brighten up the moment he saw you. he would run up to you, giving you the baby to calm her down while he gives his face a rest.

and your little girl was smiling and giving you her version of cheek kisses.

your husband recovered quickly though, and took her back, his blindfold finally off. he doesn’t do it without pecking your lips though, “my savior.”

then he gets lost in his own world with his little girl, and their laughs and giggles filled the room. her hands were gently holding her dad’s face as she squeals, and satoru’s heart soars as he forgets about his beating from a moment ago.

now, that doesn’t mean that his dear students don’t make fun of him for always losing against his little girl. during one of the recent teasings, he simply huffed, “you never tried the grip of a baby! tell them, yuuji!”

yuuji shudders as he remembers how long the slap mark lasted, “she is one hell of a strong baby.”

it’s one thing for panda and nobara to laugh, it’s another for megumi and maki to do so as well. your husband’s ego simply couldn’t take it anymore. he took his baby in his arms and gathered the baby bags, sparing one last glance at his ‘bullies’.

and so your husband dramatically exits the room, “I need my wife! I can’t with you people anymore!”

i don't think some of y'all understand how significant it is that annabeth chase, the leading lady in an IP/brand as big as percy jackson, is played by a black girl. she is not some sidekick or comic relief. THEE annabeth chase, one of the wisest, intelligent, brave demigods and love of percy jackson's life, is played by a BLACK GIRL!!

but you're so hateful and caught up with book inaccuracies and changes that you can't even offer a sliver of hope for things to improve in continuing seasons, and instead immediately resort to wishing the show gets cancelled because they didn't do that specific thing in that specific scene in the books. makes me think there might be another underlying reason as to why you want it to fail.

Dad!Simon Helps Your Daughter When She Falls Over :((

inspired by this ADORABLE instagram reel 💞💞💞

Your 3 year-old lets out a little gasp as she slips over on the ice and after a moment of shock, she starts to cry out. No words, just a stream of tears and wails of pain, frozen on her hands and knees, bare palms against freezing, snowy ground.

"Daddy!" she cries out, by which time her father is already knelt down at her side, "Dada!"

"Hey, baby," his usually gruff voice sounds soft and low as he gently strokes his daughter’s hair away from her tear-stained cheek, trying not to show how much it affects him to see her with big, sad eyes and so clearly in pain.

“Tell Daddy where you’re hurt.”

"M- m- my knees!" your little girl sobs, leaning into her father’s chest as he picks her up and cradles her in his arms, just as he did when she was younger.

Her bottom lip trembles, and she whimpers softly into Simon’s shirt, sniffling and covering him in tears. Her little hands are sore from the fall, and your husband takes both of them in one of his much bigger, stronger, rougher hands, his thumb gently caressing her knuckles.

"Let me see…" he gently rolls her trouser legs up to see her knees, which aren’t bloody but just a little sore and grazed from her fall. Taking care not to hurt her fragile skin, he leans closer and gently kisses her chubby toddler legs better. It looks funny, this big, scary man being so gentle and loving with a little girl in her pink raincoat, but he doesn’t care. Anything for his daughter.

"Need plaster, daddy!"

"You don’t need one, love, you’re not blee-" he looks down only to be met with her big, teary eyes and sad little pout, her tiny heart so sad not to be getting a plaster.

"Alright, y’get a plaster," he chuckles softly, giving her a tender kiss on the forehead, "you’re such a brave girl."
