i’ve got a question to ask out of curiosity about the eah community’s general consensus
since the books and the show have different continuities and also within the world of the supplementary Ever After High media, the books themselves differ in continuity depending on series/author, i have a feeling this answer could vary depending on one’s bias…
i’m not adding an “other” option because you’re crazy if you think they met in infancy/as toddlers or if you genuinely believe the beginning of canon in the show (start of legacy year) is legitimately when they first meet.
#my answer is complicated#on one hand i don’t think they only meet for the very first time at the start of high school#but at the same time#i’m not convinced they had spoken to each other outside of exchanging a few words every so often before then.#if you have to ask me though i’d dodge the question#and instead tell you how i’d say they first learned of each other’s existences at different times in life#apple knew raven existed before raven knew apple existed#because while snow white is very much about engraving their story and destiny into apple#the evil queen is more concerned with raven being evil in general.#so i’d assume she’d be less concerned with telling her daughter about how the queen of ever after has a daughter she’s expected to poison#and more concerned with telling her she should be the catalyst to anarchy.#i said too much but basically i think apple knew raven existed by the age of like 3 or 4#as opposed to raven who probably only learned about apple by 5 or 6.#their first face-to-face encounter most likely happened in spellementary school#but what do i know?#eah#ever after high#raven queen#apple white#raven and apple#poll#ramble

Changeling and Raven have literally zero chemistry and I'm tired of pretending otherwise.
I know it's because of the Teen Titans 03 show, but again. Literally Zero chemistry in the actual comics.
If you want the sarcastic older sister character who's annoyed with Beast Boy's jokes and comments its Donna Troy (Wonder Girl)
If you want him to have a girlfriend with died hair that's Jillian.
If you want him to date a Goth you need a new character because Raven isn't Goth (fuck it, honestly you'd be happier with Lilith than Raven for that).
The only way you end up with chemistry between Raven and Changeling is if you're writing one or both of them completely out of character.

#ravenous 1999#REQUESTED OVER A YEAR AGO I SHOULD ADD#i am SO very sorry that this took so long#i wasn't in a ravenous mood when you sent the request and then various Unforeseen Life Circumstances got in my way#and then i procrastinated on getting the blu ray for a bit#but - if it's any consolation - this is a MUCH higher-quality set than you would have gotten if i had made it right away#i'm remaking all my old sets with the blu ray footage - i'm OBSESSED#and it's soooooooooo much easier to work with than the black sa.ils blu rays thank GOODNESS#so lots and lots more goodies to come!#but i wanted to start with this one because i've been meaning to do it for SO long and life just kept getting in the way#i love Martha SO much - i def would have done a set for her eventually request or not#truly i am keeping it together until Cleaves' coat and the purple stole... then i just lose it#like. she loses everyone she loves to imperialist violence and then is forced to leave her home for her own survival#it's so awful#i'm so glad she survives - but it's still absolutely a tragedy (both for her and in general)#kudos to Antonia for insisting on the inclusion of the final shot of her walking out though... it's such a powerful image#in a tragic sense of her being forced off her land with literally only the clothes on her back#and in a hopeful sense that she DOES escape and live on... she isn't devoured by the system#it's just A Lot#i'm have a few more Martha sets planned that i'm really excited about as well!#one of her and Cleaves (in which i will shamelessly reuse a few of these gifs)#and one of... well... Now I think Tigerclaw was actually a family man to some extent in this au... I think he genuinely loved Goldenflower and all of their kits together, they were childhood friends, I think he mourned Swiftpaw and Lynxkit's deaths, I think he was overjoyed when Tawnypaw came to ShadowClan because he was glad to know one of his kits would be safe. He cared deeply for his mother and sister and originally doted on his sister's kits before Ravenpaw saw him murder Redtail.
Granted, is he a GOOD dad? ... No not really. He got his own son killed (albeit as collateral damage), Tawnypelt has ptsd from what she witnessed in TigerClan, Bramblestar has a complex, and tbh he just treats Mothwing and Hawkfrost like dogshit. But there's some conflict there, they all have fond memories of him and he tries to appeal to that to get them to join him and conform to his ideology. Tawnypelt has this worst of all because she's now the only living kit who spent the most time with him and saw him at his best and his worst.
He also easily turns on them, his love comes with conditions.
#i like giving villains traits like this. particularly ones who dont seem to get many humanizing aspects in canon#i like humanizing the villains it makes their despicable actions all the more horrifying to me#like... hes a dad. he knows what losing a child is like. he knows the agony of it#and... he still kills gorsepaw in front of his mother. he still believes halfclan kits should be wiped out.#because his hatred is more powerful than that love. love wasnt enough.#also ive been thinking- would he turn on nightdapple and dustpelt to get a higher chance at being deputy?#... nah. the dynasty can be loose at times. thats why bluestar's leader now. no one else was eligible for the position at the time#and dustpelts an inexperienced warrior most of the time and nightdapple just never wanted the position#she was always ''tigerclaw should be deputy when the time comes. hes more passionate than i am. i just want to document things''#oh also he abuses his own nephew. his love is conditional.#i think at first when he mentored him. he was strict and tried to push raven when he could#cause even if thats his nephew. hes got no backbone. that wont do and tigerclaws the tough love type#and raven knows that at the end of the day his uncle cares about him#... and then he sees his uncle kill redtail. and tigerclaw sees his nephew run away#and thats when the silencing attempts start. suddenly the uncle hes known and loved his whole life- his only kin left really-#-is a murderer. and that murderer is now trying to orchestrate his death and he KNOWS it#and hes suddenly so much crueler with him during training and hes becoming more and more isolated from the clan...#aughhhh its fucked up.. tigerclaw is a nasty man#razorverse
