I recently finished rereading the Shades of Magic series by VE Schwab and I forgot how much I love that series. It's definitely one of my all time favorite fantasy series because it's the type that everytime I reread it, I fall in love with it all over again. I could not be more excited for The Fragile Threads of Power to come out now and I cannot express how happy I am the the author decided to revisit this world in a spin off series.

No one gets nemesis and hate-based relationships like V. E. Schwab. Nobody.

It's about the intimacy. It's about the knowing one another even if you don't like one another. It's about how respect doesn't necessarily soften into affection or friendliness.
