could you explain to me why people ship seroroki 🥺pls
Full disclosure, I am not speaking for all Seroroki shippers or even some. Just speaking from my own experience as someone who does like the ship.
Okay, even though they don't have a lot of moments, the moments they do have are great. After the Sports Festival, I like they have these moments where they imply they hang out or they're on good terms. They share manga (chapter 218 for reference), Sero has nicknamed Todoroki (Joint Training Arc) and during the pool episode he cheers him on. There's also right after the Dark Deku Arc, there's that bit with Mineta copying Todoroki twice and Sero just "nuh uh, stop", thought that was cute and amusing.
Their vibes just feel compatible to me. Todoroki is real chill, but doesn't mind having mind or socializing (especially after season 2) and Sero is just as chill but to a more excitable extent. Like, he'll start the fun and Todoroki tags along with it.
Sero is just as outgoing as other characters like Kaminari and Ashido, but he's also kind of like "not so fast, let's cruise along with this" kind of character. To me, he's a good fit for Todoroki to hang with because Todoroki would still be able to join in and socialize with him, but not so fast since with his background he's not used to it.
There's also this shot from season 5's first ending song, Footprints by the peggies, that is so cute!

Todoroki seemed to be in a bad mood the whole day. No one knew why, he pushed everyone away, even Sero. Sero wanted to check up on his boyfriend but Denki suggested just giving him space. Now Sero was standing in front of Todoroki’s dorm deciding if he should go in or not. Fuck it. He knocked on the door, at first he didn’t hear anything, so he was about to knock again when he heard a: “Go away.” Sero frowned, “Shoto?” He said softly. “Go away Sero. I don’t want to talk to anyone right now.” Todoroki said sternly.
Sero sighed, “I can’t do that Shoto. I can’t walk away knowing your upset Mi amor~” Sero said softly. Sero heard footsteps to the door and then a Click! The door opened and Sero was greeted by a tired looking Todoroki. “Hey…Love!” Sero said coming inside and closing the door behind him. The room was silent for a while. Shoto sat back down on his bed, Sero sat down next to him.”Sooo? Wanna tell me what's wrong?” Sero asked. “Nothing just tired…” Todoroki sighed, rubbing his eyes.
Sero laid down on Todoroki’s bed. Todoroki raised an eyebrow. “What are you doing?” Sero smiled. “Lay down!” He said, patting the bed. Todoroki smiled weakly before laying down next to Sero. The black haired boy wrapped his arms around Todoroki. “Feel a bit better?” Sero asked, Todoroki hummed. “Good.” Sero said, placing a kiss on Todoroki’s forehead.

Coming Out for Dinner: A Seroroki Fic
Shoto was more than happy to ask his sister if he could bring Sero over for dinner. They've been dating for a few months now, and he thought this would be a great chance to introduce his boyfriend to his siblings.
Too bad there was an unexpected dinner guest.

Shoto sighed and wrapped his arms around Sero more, his ear to his chest to hear Sero's heartbeat. They lay together just breathing for a few moments while Shoto tried to broach the subject of their sudden plans.
"Sero?"
"Roki?"
"I..." this was more difficult than he imagined, "I want you to meet my family."
Sero perked up a bit, "Yeah?"
Shoto took a deep breath before affirming, "Yes. They have invited us to dinner tonight."
Sero couldn't help but grin, "That sounds great, baby—" but it was cut short.
"—They don't know."
"They don't know what?"
"That I'm... that you're... we're..."
"They don't know we're together?" Sero answered for him.
"Yes. And they do not know..."
"And they don't know...?"
"They do not know I'm... gay," it still takes a bit of effort for the words to leave his lips.
Some of the couples in class are protected from their parents. The Bakugo family does not know who their son spends time with, for instance. The thought of having to be one of the people in hiding scares Shoto. He at least trusts Fuyumi and Natsuo to be accepting...
"Hey, that's alright, baby—"
"I referred to you as a friend..."
"Hey, Shoto?"
Shoto picked his head up and looked at Sero with wide eyes and Sero's smile felt like a blanket fresh out of the dryer. "If we have to be friends in front of your family instead of boyfriends right now, I won't be upset. I promise."
Shoto dropped his head back onto Sero's chest in relief, but there was still a fear bubbling in his stomach.
He clutched Sero's hand the entire bus ride to the house. Sero would always squeeze back when he felt Shoto's grip strengthen, occasionally kissing his head or cheek for extra reassurance as they sat and looked out the window.

SeroRoki Headcannons!
1.
ASDFGHJKL a lot of them go around Sero being high but I present to you- todo finding out why he smokes. It starts out as a simple convo, him smoking while in the dorm and Todo is cuddling him almost asleep. (Sero knows that when he’s just about to fall asleep is when Todo is most likely to have a Panic Attack, so he cuddles him to sleep)
So they are cuddling, and todo whispers, “why do u smoke? I’ve told u it’s bad for you and ik u secretly hate it. U look disgusted every time u pick up a joint. So why?” By this point Todo has looked up at Sero from his position in his lap and Sero knows he isn’t getting out of this. So he finally tells him a secret he hasn’t told anyone
He says, “well, when I was little, I had an older brother” (none of this is canon). “He used to smoke a lot but never let me around him while he did. He said that it wasn’t for happy little boys who didn’t have any issues. So when I got into middle school, I got bullied for being a different race and not the same. And when I came out as Bi it made the situation worse. “
“So, I talked to my brother. He always seemed happy when he smoked so I wanted to try it too. He let me without telling me how addictive it is. It got rid of the sadness but now I’m addictive to something that I hate. It reminds me of how my brother sold everything for this but I can’t stop, ya know?”
And Todo looks at the crying Sero and says, “are you happy with me? Do I make you happy?” And Sero instantly goes “of course I do, mi amore. I love you more than anything and I wouldn’t give you up for the world” and so todo gets up, takes the joint and puts it out. He takes Sero’a stash and throws it it in the trash. He walks back over and lays back in Sero’s lap. “Then let me be your new addiction. Everytime you get sad or want to get high. Double tap my wrist and kiss me. I’ll cherish you and love you until the need passes, then I’ll praise you for not giving in”
Sero swears on that night that he’ll marry that boy one day
2.
Every time Todo has a panic attack Sero holds him and tells him how pretty his scar is and how unique and loving he is. After he calms down, they make deserts with nothing but led lights on and cuddle in bed
3.
When Sero gets high, Todo wants to join but Sero doesn’t let him cuz he knows Todo would freak out (he would feel like he’s out of control). So they kinda just sit there outside with a blankie cuddling. Then when they get too cold, They dress up in onsies together and dance in the dark with candles while baking munchies.
