trying to forget the absolute chaos of last year’s b-day with the headlines bbc news forgot to mention me on the front page smh and change it up for this year’s without any royalty upstaging me

I go mostly offline for ONE DAY and suddenly:

Sans is the sexiest man, Reigen lost to him by ONE POINT, the queen croaked and might have respawned as tr*sha p*ytas's baby 3 minutes later, toby fox wrote fanfic, Splatoon 3 releases soon (Today I think), and Thurston the cat died (idk who that last one is sorry)

All on a random ass thursday

(also if Lizzy isn't in that baby she def didn't enter heaven is all I'm saying)

.... so last night was a trip.

As I said when I first heard her health mentioned earlier today,

Sept 8 - went to see an ophthalmologist this morning, and then back to the walk-in clinic I'd visited this spring, in order to have a three month checkup on how I'm doing now that I'm on medication for diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol. Which is good and exactly on target, yay. Also did some shopping while I was out, so I'm pretty well stocked with snacks for while I'm here.

Nephew did chili and sourdough bread for supper, with sour cream and diced tomatoes, sweet peppers, and avocado to top it.

Sept 9 - nephew and I spent several hours starting to work our way through a huge pile of boxes of random stuff that his parents never properly sorted through before (or after) they moved to this house. And the house they'd moved from had been built by my BIL's parents back in the 40s, and had all kinds of things they'd inherited from both sides of their families in turn, so we're looking through 3+ generations of junk and keepsakes. FUN! (No really, it actually is pretty fun at least some of the time).

For supper we had a grilled chicken, cucumber and tomato salad with pita that was brushed with garlic oil before toasting it under the broiler. Honorable mention to the late lunch of assorted good cheeses and crackers we had during a break while sorting.
