Cullens favorite types of movies? Also, I'm so happy to see a twilight saga blog in the year 2023 - it's so wild
Carlisle - Of course Carlisle likes older movies. There's no real genre, but if it's in black and white then he's probably a fan. He really adores the classics, and some of his favorites are Citizen Kane, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Maltese Falcon.
Esme - Esme is such a sucker for romance of all kinds, but classic romance can bring her to her knees. She loves a bittersweet ending, and she is TOTALLY a hallmark Christmas movie mom. She was a die hard Casablanca fan and a year cannot pass without her watching It's A Wonderful Life at least four times. Anything that make her heart ache, she adores.
Edward - This dramatic asshole. Claims that he really only likes inspirational foreign French films because of the ~drama~ but you know what??? he secretly watches romance movies with Esme, not that it's actually a secret because everyone already knows. Pretty Woman? Yes. 10 Things I Hate About You? Absolutely. If he had the ability to cry, he definitely would have after watching A Walk to Remember.
Rosalie - Rosalie likes sci-fi and fantasy movies. Labyrinth is a special favorite, though it might be because of her crush on David Bowie. She was surprised at how much she enjoyed The Shape of Water, but you're more likely going to find her watching something like Close Encounters of the Third Kind or The Princess Bride.
Emmett - Emmett dabbles in movies - he really likes a bit of everything. Drama, comedy, action, fantasy - he wouldn't say he actually has a favorite. He thinks comedy might take precedence; he's a huge fan of anything by Mel Brooks.
Jasper - He hates how stereotypical it is, but he loves Westerns. He's seen pretty much everything that John Wayne has ever been in. Really, anything to do with history will be ok for him to watch, though it took him a while to be comfortable with some of the Civil War era movies. Loves The Patriot and Braveheart, though he isn't a fan of Mel Gibson, and Black Beauty has a special place in his heart.
Alice - Alice likes all of those corny teen romance films, like Princess Diaries or She's the Man. She isn't sure why, but they really make her happy!! They're always so cute and quirky, she adores them so much.

A/N: This is a scheduled post.
This meme has been in the works ever since it began it's circulation through my little tumblr niche. It took me a ridiculously long time to finish because I'm a perfectionist who NEEDS a perfectly matched aesthetic for everything I make. Explanations for my choices can be found under the cut<3
Color: Pink- which should come as no surprise! The color pink is said to represent friendship, affection, harmony, inner peace, compassion, nurturing, approachability- and love.
Flora: Wild Roses. These flowers are said to signify love, femininity, grace, elegance, and delicate beauty. But they also represent resilience and persevere in the face of life's challenges. That strength and beauty can coexist is the perfect embodiment of Rosalie as a character. Oh, and it's also a bit of a play on her full name- Rosalie Wilde. (A/N: I'm aware what's pictured isn't a species of wild rose. But since MTAS Rosalie lives in a sci-fi post apocalyptic world, I don't believe it's outside the realm of possibility that new species of wild roses within the universe could be descendent/resemble domestic species from modern day. )
Fauna: Horses. Throughout history, horses have been associated with independence, strength, courage and freedom. Which, again, perfectly reflect Rosalie as a character. They also just so happen to be her favorite animal in the world and I've always pictured her owning several.
Object: A pair of pink cowgirl boots. A juxtaposition much like Rosalie herself. They're cute- but made to be durable. I had a hard time picking for this category. Other objects I was considering include: Fresh baked apple pie, A pink dress, and her violin/fiddle.
Song: Tough by Kellie Pickler. Again, had a hard time picking a song for this category- but for the opposite reasons of the object category. Finding a good, country song that fit what I wanted both IC and OOC was surprisingly difficult- and I'm still not quite happy with this choice. But it was the best I could do.
Feeling: Love. Both platonic and romantic. The motivation behind many of Rosalie's words, actions, and goals in life.

Pulp Jazz: Twenty-First Century Groove Music (A Mixtape)
If you've been over on Aquarium Drunkard in 2024, you've probably noticed that Brent Sirota is currently killing it — with expertly curated mixes especially. Astral loitering, secret hemispheres, new age trips, Fourth World explorations, spacey fusion and beyond. And now — Pulp Jazz! I love this one.
Brent says: I called it pulp jazz a couple of times, not because it was cheap or disposable, but because it was so immediately gratifying. It draws on long-traduced, sometimes crassly commercial, musical forms—jazz-funk, exotica, new age, sci-fi schlock, lounge music and library—and channels it all into deeply funky, low-key psychedelic groove music. More than that, like the best pulp, it somehow comes out sexy as hell, slinky and dangerous.
A very cool collection of unearthly sounds — made even cooler by the fact that my own band Prairiewolf shows up in the mix! What a treat. There's a lot brewing for the 'wolf in the upcoming months, since you asked — a re-press of our debut LP, a brand-new LP in the works ... and gigs! Glorious gigs! Next month we'll be joining the cosmic traveling family band Tengger at Glob in Denver for what is sure to be a very heady night. And then, a few nights later, we're opening up for Rosali and Color Green at Globe Hall. Glob + Globe!? You better believe it. If you're in the area, advance tix are recommended! Tengger sold out the last time they were in town and — I'm calling it here — Rosali's new album is going to be HUGE.

"The Helios is in no danger, Captain - we're at the perfect viewing distance, and the star should be going nova exactly...now."
Through the viewscreen, the supernova burst forth in a million glorious colors, the bridge crew applauding at the sight; Rosalie glanced at her science officer's rapturous expression, and her smile grew a little wider.
Thanks for the ask @winterinhimring! I had a lot of fun with this one :D You knew I'd have to do a Star Trek AU, so enjoy the dashing Captain Rosalie of the starship Helios and her chief science officer Otto. I couldn't decide if I liked it better if they're already married or if they're still in the mutual pining phase, so I left it ambiguous. You decide!

Honestly I think we had the exact same answers for the bonus questions! I'm a hardback fan all the way 🥰 And my go to in the morning is a coffee, but I love nothing more than my afternoon english breakfast with a bit of milk and honey. One thing about me is that I have a favorite pot that I always use for hot drinks and soups because it's the only one without a lip and so also the only one where I can consistently pour from it and not spill what I've just made.... but that one was already dirty :/

Favorite Romance tropes? ooooh thats a tough one because a lot depend on the genre! If I'm reading fantasy then enemies-to-lovers is amazing, but especially so if it's one-sided! Like Jude and Cardan - he was in love with her and she hated his guts so much she thought he must hate her in return! Or Feysand in the first book, now that I think about it lmao. Other favorites include classics such as only one bed (or horse if its a road-trip romance), soulmates/fated mates, forced proximity, and hidden identity! If its more contemporary though, I lean toward fake dating, rivals-to-lovers (technically a branch on enemies to lovers but eh), and mutual pining/idiots-to-lovers.
One trope though that i don't really like??? Is actually the love triangle. Because I WILL start shipping all three of them together rather than choose. (Or the back-and-forth starts to annoy me. Depends on how it's being written.) speaking of that if you like sci-fi books i would recommend Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao, that's got a canon polyamorous relationship!
Favorite Feysand moments - Calanmai obviously, that scene is iconic for a reason and i get emotional if I think about it too long while remembering chapter 54, there you are. I've been looking for you I also adore Feyre throwing her shoe at Rhys after he dares her to do it again, Feyre taunting Rhys while in the Summer Court only to immediately get jealous that he does the same thing, both CoN scenes, and the scene with the bone carver when feyre admits she would have turned the knife on herself and Rhys is devastated by it. what can I say I love angst hahaha😂
Honestly I don't like that Rhys twists Feyre's arm for the bargain. Like... dude. I know you were playing a part but really? Also i wish nesta was a carynthian - the writer in me understands that her character development and journey needed for her to stand her ground instead of reaching the summit, and arc-wise it was a fufilling end, but the valkyrie lover in me is like... why couldn't nesta reach the top too? also cassian not saying ily to nes in her book?????😡🤬 do better cass.
Favorite songs at the moment are "So Hot that it Hurts" and "Conversations with the Dashboard" by Voilà (they are so underrated I need more people to listen to them), "Electric Touch," "You're On Your Own, Kid," "Castles Crumbling," "Willow," "Ivy," "Dress," and "New Year's Day" by Taylor, "Last of the Real Ones" by FOB, and "Da Selby" Parts 1 and 2 by Hozier. Feysand wise is probably New Years Day (I did title my amnesia fic with this song so I kinda have to pick it lol 😂 ) and Dress (but dress is also perfect for Emorie so👀). Voilà also has a perfect feysand song with "Figure You Out" - it just screams rhys to me in the beginning of acomaf saying "Really? Tamlin? You picked Tamlin? He gave you red paint and thought it would make you happy and you still think he’s the man for you?”
Also "Hurt for Me," "Where's My Love," and "Better" by SYML destroyed me with the Feysand feels to the point that I immediately added them to my playlist! 😭

I start with young adult, obviously. Then, meander over to fantasy and sci-fi. I check out the cookbooks, then depending on how long i want to stay in the store, I'll look through the interior design or gardening books for a while because, you know, pretty pictures. I'll end with staff recs, if they have those.
14. do you ever mark/dog ear books you own?
I do. I do dog ear my books. I wish I could be one of those cute, aesthetic girls that annotate their books with pretty lil highlighters and stickies. But, I mostly read on the metro, so all that would be too inconvenient.
15. recommend and review a book.
I need to know right now why the Twilight fandom has not read The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh yet. Vampire romance, people! Not only that, but it literally reads like Ahdieh read Twilight, thought to herself 'I could do better than that', and did!
Celine Roussaex is a dark-haired, pale skin beauty with a heart of gold. Instead of being Meyer's meek princess riddled with baseless insecurities, Celine owns her beauty and her intelligence. The girl is sexy and she knows it. She loves indulgent food, Shakespeare, and danger. And I love her.
Sebastian Saint Germain is exactly what we want in a male love interest. He uses pomp and swagger to hide the fact that he's a pathetic wet cat who yearns for love and acceptance. He is everything.
But it's not just about the rebranded EdBella. The vampires are POC and the werewolves are white! The Rosalie character is a headstrong lesbian! There are meaningful female friendships! It's everything the fandom asked for and more! Please, please read it.

I'm pretty sure @panlight has already answered this in a classy way so I'll go ahead and answer it in a bitchy goofy way
bella - we already know she favors jane austen and gothic romances. she's read the entire forks high english class reading list for fun already, so she's probably down for anything vintage and Literary.
esme - likes romances, lighthearted literary fiction, and comedies of manners. I can see her enjoying susanna clarke, oscar wilde, etc. her favorite book is probably middlemarch or something else gentle yet societally challenging
rosalie - when she's not reading practical nonfiction, probably enjoys really challenging sci-fi, especially with a feminist bent. has stuff like the broken earth and annihilation and the three body problem on her shelf
jasper - dad books. just wall-to-wall dad books. the most boring wwii biographies imaginable. like sure history is important or whatever but oh my god, surely there's a better way to learn it than this. i'm in hell
emmett - I know it's kind of lame to be like "kids' books" but you know what? yes. he likes Fun kids' books and Fun genre fiction, clever humorous SFF and stuff. bonus points if there are pictures. big fan of diary of a wimpy kid and its ~girl counterpart~ dear dumb diary, has every calvin & hobbes collection, I'm projecting here but probably an animorphs stan
alice - functionally illiterate

What would happen if Bella went to Euphoria High? Also, on a similar note, what would happen if the Cullens went to Euphoria High?
I haven't seen Euphoria, so I can't say for sure. But to my knowledge (knowledge being mutuals posting about it) Euphoria doesn't feature fantasy or sci fi, it's just that it's written by men trying a little too hard to be edgy and real by showing youth drinking and having sex. I've come away from my dashboard with the impression that it's another show glorifying youth.
But, considering how Edward and Bella got together with no concern for their school or even wider human community, I don't think anything would change. Nor would much change for the Cullens if they went to a different high school as they would be their usual antisocial selves. So the kids at this school have a heavy party culture, that'll get them disdainful looks from Rosalie and Edward but it'll all be very peripheral to the Cullens.

- Thane: Thane is half-Kal’morra, a semi-aquatic alien race that has features such as: scales, gills. Thane has such features, these are not shown with the portrait.
- Ophelia: Ophelia is a Harpii, a warrior-bird race of people. She has feathers, sharpened teeth, and bird-esque eyes. These are not shown in the portrait.
- ????????????????????: Due to spoilers, I won’t go into the reasons as to why this is not exact, but I can assure you that this is closest I can get to what they look like in my mind.

Simple conversations could always lead to one thing and another, this time it lead to a deeper conversation over a class of wine with some sci-fi movie playing in the back as the two sat on her couch in Rosalie’s apartment. Holding on her glass and taking sips here and there, the female listened to the other woman. Glancing down every now and then she looks back up again and has a serious expression on her features.

Sexuality Headcanon: Straight as Carlisle, Lesbian as Carine. Either way both of them only have eyes for a woman Esme
Gender Headcanon: I like both male Carlisle and female Carine (again Team Sarah Paulson as Carine)
A ship I have with said character: Carlesme or Carine x Esme obviously
A BROTP I have with said character: Carlisle x Aro (Aro is that weird friend Carlisle is kinda scared of but doesn’t wanna get on his bad side, while Aro is in love with an oblivious Carlisle). He loves all the kids and is obviously close to Edward but I like to think he has a very strong connection to Rosalie in particular (especially because he feels extra guilty for changing her as a result of her resentment, so he’s spent a lot of time getting to know her, making sure she’s okay and building her sense of trust in him). He’d also be both impressed by and fascinated with her thirst control. I headcanon that her getting the medical degrees had him bursting with pride and excitement for MONTHS afterwards to the point where they had to move from a place they just moved to because he kept bragging about how his supposedly high school junior daughter had two medical degrees. But it gave him a rare moment of “wow I have adoptive kids who do actually take after me in some ways” 🥺
A NOTP I have with said character: Carlisle x Edward or literally any of the kids like he’s not THAT kinda daddy to them
A random headcanon: I fully believe he is a nerd. Like sure he’s brilliantly smart and has been around for centuries but I don’t just mean he’s a nerd for his career or his knowledge, I mean like, he’s a hardcore fantasy/comic/sci-fi fan. But not in a gross misogynistic or sexist way, in like a Ben Wyatt way. He’s obsessed with fantasy phenomenons, makes the family play D&D, and if he’s had a particularly stressful week Esme will pull out a Princess Leia/Arwen/Xena costume to make him feel better lol 😌
General Opinion over said character: I love my nerdy caring wholesome Dr. Dilf with all my heart even if he is an Englishman and first movie Carlisle can choke me with his scarf tbh
