Microsoft Copilot finally found it's way to my desktop. I'd heard rumors of it, but apparently the latest Win11 update just installed it as part of the batch update. No asking, just threw the waste of space in there.

So of course I did what anyone with a gaming desktop and hates excess bloat with a passion does and looked up how to remove it.

The article I found said to run Terminal in admin mode (Command Prompt/CMD for those that don't refer to it that way and are looking for something labeled 'terminal') and type the following:

Then you just restart your PC and no more copilot :D

I am convinced that people who use ai are either ignorant of the way it exploits people or just plain assholes. A well-known voice actor got bullied off Twitter for asking that an ai cover using her voice without her consent be taken down. And I’ll be fair, it seems the person who posted it originally did take it down, but people were PISSED that they weren’t able to enjoy this woman’s voice being stolen and manipulated without her knowledge, so they harassed her and reuploaded the video multiple times.

Do people not see what a massive privacy violation is it to have a machine copy someone’s voice and make it sound like they said or sang things they never did? This technology allows deepfakes to ruin lives. It poses the risk of shitty people attempting to steal a voice actor’s voice and use it in official content because it’s “good enough” and they don’t have to pay anyone.

It is exploitive and wrong and bad. There is a massive moral failing here. I wish all ai bros a very get fucked, and all ai companies that built models that can only function by exploiting people a very go bankrupt.

Congratulations Tumblr for being a part of the worst social sites in history! Not only is your CEO a transphobic, harrassing bigot that you aren't holding accountable, you're also selling the artists that have made you successful, to AI without their consent! I truly hope you get sued and go under. At this point I don't care if this is it for this hellsite. I think it's time for us to move on. There's not a single thing staff can say to me that will make me care. The blatant lack of transparency, the professional business bullshit language, nah. No thanks.

Hello artists, I've recently deleted Photoshop because Adobe is a horrible company to artists and supports ai. Can someone recommend to me a digital drawing program that does not support or use ai? I think procreate is actually openly against ai and clip studio paint was going to start adding ai to their software but backlash from artists made them back out, but I could be wrong.

#boycottHarperCollins they are trying to use AI voices instead of actual human beings voice actors and pretend it's for us, so we have more product to have but it's not. It's nothing but greed on their end, I want a world full of artists and real human voices not this.

I know it can seem hopeless but remember "in a capitalistic society, it is the consumer who decides what gets made and who gets to make it merely by giving or withholding their support" AI and greedy dystopian companies can't make money if we don't give them money, hit them where it hurts and boycott and tell them why your boycotting

Don't forget to do this if you don't want Tumblr using your data to train AI!!

1) Go to settings.

2) Scroll down until you find visibility and click it.

3) Turn on "prevent third-party sharing for (name of your blog)

If you can't find it, go to desktop:

1) On the left column, click on "account" and then on your blog.

2) On the right column, click "blog settings".

3) Scroll down until you find "Visibility" and turn on "prevent third-party sharing for (name of your blog)".
