Something my coffee addle brain just thought of. In the same age AU, would there be talk of matching Satoru with Shiki? Seeing how they are the same age plus far enough blood relationships. I mean, it only makes sense that their Honoured one has a matching of a woman with the same amount of power. (Plus some thinking of combining the two powerful cursed eyes. )

"Have you considered a match for your son yet?"

"He is still young," Muneyoshi chuckles. "There is time yet."

"Not as much time as you may think," Takatomi-sama responds, faintly reproving. Muneyoshi bows his head to the elder, acknowledging the reprimand. "As his father, this is something that you should be more attentive towards, isn't it?"

"As you say, elder." Muneyoshi is not particularly close with his son, but even a blind man could see that Gojo Satoru was -disinterested in marriage. Or even in any potential partners. The most interest that the boy had ever shown in another person would be his classmate, Geto Suguru, and while Muneyoshi would not... oppose it, should his son turn out to have... certain proclivities... Takatomi-sama was correct that it would be for the best if Satoru settled down into marriage soon.

So long as he did his duty to the clan and continued the bloodline as the Honored One, he could go and woo whoever he liked.

... The problem was, Muneyoshi knows the boy, and he knows that the chances of Satoru settling down with a nice young woman that the clan picked out for him were vanishingly unlikely.

For a time, Muneyoshi had hoped that Shiki would fulfill the role. Despite the bickering between the two, the many conflicts and arguments that they'd been embroiled in, growing up together as sorcerers with cursed eyes... they didn't hate each other. If anything, Muneyoshi would say that there was grudging respect between the two of them, and surely that would provide a strong basis towards building true understanding between them in the future. There was compatibility, here.

Gojo Shiki's cursed eyes were unprecedented in the long history of the Gojo Clan. Unprecedented, and powerful. There was no denying that, not anymore. A union of the two most powerful sorcerers of the Gojo Clan -the potential of their children was something that they could only imagine.

There were those who argued against it, of course. Preserve the cursed eyes in separate bloodlines. The Six Eyes and Limitless must remain pure. Gojo Shiki's mutation may have turned out to be a boon this time, but it would be irresponsible to introduce such instability to the main bloodline.

...

But in the end, none of it mattered. Satoru had flat-out refused Shiki, each and every time her name had been brought forth as a potential candidate for marriage. Again and again, the exact same as every other young woman that had been introduced as a potential match. Muneyoshi couldn't force Satoru to do anything; he'd probably get swatted like a bug if he ever tried to do so.

... Hina would've known what to do. Out of the two of them, she'd always been the one better with handling Satoru. But... Hina isn't here anymore.

Just Muneyoshi.

okay so there are so many au’s where kakashi is the same age as the rest of team 7 and they are usually written as like, he replaces a member or something, but like, what if he didnt? 

kakashi was literally a jonin at age 12 so what if he was still the sensei of team 7, but he’s the same age as them. idk i think it would just be funny having team 7 introduced to their jonin sensei and its just this kid who’s an inch shorter than them and only like, a year older.

i just know he would be picking fights with naruto and sasuke meanwhile hiruzen is left wondering if he actually made the right decision with this lmao

at all times during the rest of this post should you realize that marc was like a full FOOT shorter than vale for most of their teen years. please.

the thing is if they’re in the same age group, then they are competing against each other from a pretty young age! which. as we all know. activates vale’s fuck you get mine gene (no hero worship here either for marc ! like they’re both initially charmed i’m sure but they don’t have the cultural context of vale’s icon status to color their dynamic.) so i actually think it’s a weird PEDRENZOOOOO parallel thats at play here where they’re locked in a rivalry for yearsssss and it makes SPLASHYYYY headlines for a long time before they get to the big leagues… it’s the main story of the junior classes…

and because this is rosquez, that rivalry is one side resentment both sides horny, and (because it is rosquez.) they are having teenage situationship drama. this thing is they’re actually TEENAGERS this time so it gets messy FAST. like the emotions are BIG the racing is SLOPPY (marc hasn’t learned even a leedle bit of restraint) and also. they are each other’s first EVERYTHINGGGG. first kiss first redacted first also redacted first heartbreak first guy who can regularly beat the other on track. first person who challenges them. like they’re going crazy they’re playing mind games they are sneaking off with a bottle of wine the night before fp1 and getting handsy…. like they’re on a roof DRUNK looking at the stars and marc says i was born the day you and they start mythologizing themselves in that way teens do and end up both implying that they literally believe they are each other’s soulmates (never outright stating it). AND THEN they don’t speak for three fucking months because marc overtakes vale in a slightly illegal manner at the race that weekend. teen love. also vale is also so much taller than marc in these years it’s so funny.

and i also think. in the positive sense this would actually fix a lot of their issues… it would make them way more comfortable around each other !! especially after a while. like knowing someone for that long let’s in small vulnerabilities and embarrassments and comfort. and in lots of ways i think it would alleviate some of marc’s child prodigy loneliness AND divert a little of the intense media attention vale got… the only person around them who is their age is each other. the only person who thinks about racing like they do is each other. marc helps vale dye his hair and vale visits marc in the hospital when he gets diplopia and says to him. you have to get better. i don’t know how to do this without you here.

Then when Bruce gets back home with an injured Dick in tow, he sees Jason and Damian all bloody and bruised up, and he looks between all 3 kids, and it's at that moment that he seriously considers ripping up his parenthood card so he can escape into the night, never to be seen again.
