Inspired by @justsamwilson, we will also establish a tag to track purely sambucky content. #onlysambucky is now our new tracking tag along with the rest of our tags. In here, fics, musings, art, headcanons, edits, gifs, will be in the tag so that us sambucky shippers (the sane ones, not the weird ones) can have a safe place to fan about our favorite ship!

Sam blinks his eyes open and immediately panics. His skin feels like it’s alight with a thousand little flames, his nerve endings wreaking chaos even though he has no idea what’s happening. He can’t see anything and brings his hand up, inches from his face. Nothing. He pats himself down and it feels strange - like his hands are sending mixed signals, and the places he’s touching just burn even more. Sam wonders if he’s been blinded somehow - what the hell happened? His mind tries to replay the last few moments but all he can remember is being in Wakanda, and then -
Thanos.
Holy shit, Thanos won. Thanos won, and he’s dead - that is the only answer he has for this pitch black nothingness that he’s in.
“Просыпайся, солдат. (Wake up, soldier.)”
What?
A blinding light comes and he screws his eyes shut because if he wasn’t blind before he sure as hell would be soon if he didn’t.
“See? In excellent condition,” a man says in English this time. He picks up a second voice, likely translating and there’s murmurs all around him. Blinking slowly, he takes in the face of -
“Я убью тебя! (I’ll kill you!)” Sam pushes forward, though he’s stunned for a moment at his own words - they’re his thoughts but the voice didn’t belong to him. And he sure as shit did not know what he thinks to be Russian.
“Сдерживайте его! (Hold him!)”
“Не стреляйте! (Don’t shoot!)”
Sam is freaking out. He tries to register what’s happening, tries to run but there are guns trained on him but he knows this guy. He read Bucky’s file pretty thoroughly when he and Steve were tracking him down and this motherfucker looking at him right now was the biggest reason Bucky came back as broken as he did. Without a grain of remorse, he stands there smiling at Sam like he’s some prized possession and it makes his blood boil. He was going to kill him for the hell he put Bucky through.
