My theory is the third necklace is the locket, but the locket is a gift from Rick. Look, the HN fandom ain't that lucky so that ain't never going to happen but between now and the premiere of S3 I can dream lol.

ALSO I THOUGHT OF THAT! Ok so I was looking a the locket and I was like. Hmm. Lockets seem to be very Important™️ to characters in tv and film. See: Courtney’s locket. So I wonder what is in it. And then I thought, maybe Beth is given a locket from her dad, and it has a family portrait! And, hey! Who used to be Beth’s best friends? Her PARENTS. And what is the theme this season? FRENEMIES. So I was thinking…What if Beth feels smothered by her parents new helicopter style and is like “ 😐 this is a very pretty locket but I’m not feeling the Chapel vibes right now.” So she decides to replace the picture with her current bff right now….Rick. And she doesn’t tell him because she thinks it is a little embarrassing. But! Rick finds out and is already half in love with her, right? So he kind of loves the fact she did that. I love your theory too but, as established, Rick is a broke ass bitch.

Thoughts under the cut:

For a season that harbours a lot of iconic looks for Polly, I actually found this the hardest one to scour for these gifs. For the most part Polly can wear the same outfit for a whole episode, which makes sense partly because there's less time skipping but also since this change in style suggests these outfits are mostly new, and she doesn't have many like it. I think it's key this season to look at Polly's outfits because it's when she is most concerned with how she presents herself to society. It's a great difference from season 2 - her hair is cut and it's conservative, there are more muted colours and grays introduced, but with only subtle patterns unlike her monochromatic suits in season 1. Speaking of suits, they're nowhere to be found, another hint of her efforts at conformity. Her necklaces and extravagant jewelry pieces, proudly displayed in season 2 and tied to her heritage like the Black Madonna, are notably absent. While she still looks stunning, the personality once presented in her style is gone. It's also particularly incredible to note the method of taking a knife to the painting and the fact that she runs up to it barefoot. It echoes the Polly we've seen in previous and future seasons with her blades, and how "Young she is, when she's barefoot on the cobbles". It screams of how this is her taking back her old self, her true self, destroying what she thought she could be and being devastated by the reality, reluctantly yet instinctively embracing it.

So, on extra data about him:

- He is a peacock hybrid! As the ref says, he used to have wings (they were pretty much the same pattern as his tail), but he lost them due to the effect that the game had on him. He does have a good part of them intact, but they're too little for him to fly/navigate, so he hides them and uses the prosthetics that Test Tube made for him instead. But he didn't bring those in Invitational, since he genuinely thought that they were going to a Spoiled Lemon concert.

- He has scars on his body due to the game and also the shimmers as well.

- He's bisexual, genderqueer and polyamorous.

- The star necklace he has is from Test Tube, he got a bracelet that glows from Lightbulb, and after s2 ended, once Paintbrush and him grew closer + he matured, he got a purple bracelet from them. He also got a piece of yellow cloth from Suitcase in the cave challenge.

- He doesn't have sharp teeth. It is a rare case amongst hybrids, but Fan is pretty chill about it.

- His tail pattern is formed by hearts and some diamonds.

- He has Spoiled Lemon merch on s3.

- He does have more II merch, but he usually has it on his bag or puts them on the cabins where they rest, but post s2, after his interest for the show cooled down a bit, he stopped wearing so much about it.

- This is more of a me type of thing while redesigning him but, he really just gives off lil guy + dad energy here.

- Of course, on early s2, he was slightly skinnier and didn't have those scars. But post s2, he's pretty comfortable with himself, so it shows through how he looks like. He let his hair grow and started using comfier clothes.
