I do not, I repeat, I DO NOT care how many times these images, or honestly any pictures or gifs are shared over and over and over again from Red, White, and Royal Blue.
I will fucking like/heart that shit like it's my job.
That is all, please continue to share four million more times. I promise, I'll probably like every goddamn post.

can't belive i'm saying this but the movie about the homophobic cop that gets married to a ghost husband has more emotion than the rwarb movie

As much as I’m enjoying and celebrating all the new queer media we’re getting, I still can’t help but notice we’re lacking wlw pairings and queer women in the spotlight.
I know this is only the beginning, and in the future we will probably get more wlw representation, but at least for now the most part of new queer movies and shows seem to follow mlm couples and mlm romance. While it makes me (a bisexual woman) feel a bit more seen to see even somebody queer on tv, I’m hurting a bit.
Make tv shows about lesbians. Make movies about bisexual women. Produce media where the main character is asexual. We need to see more queer women as main characters living full happy lives as their queer selves.
Also, still salty about ALOTO only getting renewed for four more episodes.

So allow me to bullshit some more about the RWARB movie, specifically this scene:
Look at this scene. We can see the King, Phillip, and Bea all present, right? And then Alex and Henry seated beside each other on that couch thingy in the middle. So obviously if this is anything like the book, this scene is right after they’ve been outed by the emails, and they’re telling the king that they want to tell the world the truth here. But this shot and then the shots that follow:
Have me fixated on them because LOOK AT ALEX AND HENRY. In that first scene, you can see them seated beside each other, not touching or even really looking at each other, because they’ve just been through a very traumatic event and now they’re being forced to do something they weren’t ready for. Yeah it turns out okay but they’ve still gotta be feeling terrible here, right?
Ok, now remember in the book that in this scene, Catherine stands up for them and convinces the Queen that they deserve the chance to be themselves and be in love, right? But before that, we got the Queen berating Henry and Henry deciding to stand up for himself first. But from what we can see here, Catherine is nowhere in sight, unless that woman in the background is her and not Bea like I think. So here’s my thought process:
That first shot is the king and Philip berating Alex and Henry for what they’ve done. Being awful and all around homophobic for falling in love and then getting caught. And Henry, Henry is used to it. He doesn’t like it but he’s used to it. But Alex? He’s not!! So he’s sitting there feeling the worst he’s ever felt, being scolded by Henry’s family simply for falling in love, and THATS why we then see Henry reach over and take his hand in that last scene. That’s why we finally see Henry looking over at Alex, because he’s used to it and he’s used to taking all that bullshit from his family, but he KNOWS Alex isn’t and that’s why he’s finally like Yknkw what fuck y’all imma hold my boyfriends hand cuz he looks like he’s about to cry. Without Catherine there, the only one in the room really capable of standing up for him and Alex is Henry himself. Bea might, if she’s able, but I think the movie might give Henry this moment to really show he’s done being pushed around, and he’s sure as hell not gonna let his family push ALEX around.
There was no real point to this rant I’ve just been like hyper fixated on this specific scene for like three days so 😭
TLDR: I think the RWARB movie is gonna give Henry a badass moment where he decided to tell the king to fuck off and let him and Alex be in love because he’s not gonna let his family make him hide the love of his life❤️
