December Special!
Round Two!!
Hi everyone! This will be our last and final round throughout the coming week. The links in this post will direct you to the four polls for the four chapters. Keep in mind that I will decide on the order randomly as I write along.
I put all the options into this post, beacuse I do not have the nerve to type all of this four times. Tumblr doesn't let me copy text and paste it into a post.
Have fun!

Chapter
Chapter
Chapter
Chapter
1.
You knew this might happen. You read the script of your knew role in the upcoming kdrama. And yet, you are surprised when your co-star pulls you aside after filming that day. Seo Yeaji's face can switch in a heartbeat. From a cold and emotionless mask, to an adorable , cute smile. While she asks you, if the two of you could practice the next scene, her face shows a new expression. Lust. It's quite a spicy scene after all.
2.
Idols are always stressed, overworked and tired. On top of that, they can't even relax properly. They have to be careful about their food, words and actions. And one thing, that some people might neglect, is sexual satisfaction. That becomes a problem for Karina, Jihyo and Eunbi. Having bigger breasts only adds to their problems. Due to stress, their milk production starts to rise. When the three of them invite you to join their pre-Christmas party, they obviously have ulterior motives.
3.
IU's and Kang Seulgi's competition started, when they caught each other, having sex backstage during an award show, a couple of months ago. At first, it picked up slowly. Random challenges, send via text on kakaoTalk app, answered by pictures as proof of the accomplished mission. Now, the two of them are tied, desperate to come up with something new. Luckily, IU and Seulgi have a lot of fans, who are more than happy to help them out.
4.
You and Irene are coworkers with a special history. The two of you tried out more kinks and positions and places than even married couples. But some things are still missing. Luckily, Irene has a friend who got hired a couple of weeks ago. You were planning on welcoming her properly anyways.
5.
After just being hired by Dreamcatcher Company, you are already tasked with shooting Jiu's and SuA's special clip. Jiu knows that you are an Insomnia and that SuA is your bias. Maybe you will get to shoot another type of special clip with the two of them, thanks to Jiu.
6.
You meet your exgirlfriend IU at a high school friend's wedding. After the memories of your school times come back, the two of you sneak off.
7.
You have worked with a couple of idols already. They are often models and embassadors for brands after all. Now you are tasked with filming a small video to promote Jimmy Choo's newly designed dress. The woman who appears in your studio is no other than Cho Miyeon.
8.
Yuna has always been quite kinky. But her Christmas present for you this year is on another level. It's Ryujin. She is kneeling on her bed, wrapped in red lingerie and a bow like a gift. Her hands are tied behind her back, while her eyes are covered with a red blindfold.
9.
You have already tried everything. Drinking warm milk with honey, listening to music, reading a book. Nothing. Working out, spending more time on your job. Nothing. Even after bringing that girl home last night, Yunjin, you vaguely remember her name, didn't help at all. You still can't fall asleep. It's late at night and you are lying in bed once more. Sleepless. Then, your doorbell rings. That must be your neighbor. Chaewon. After telling her about your insomnia, she said she might know aomething.
10.
Going to college is already hard enough, considering your background. Bad grades, devorced father, stepmother and stepsister and so on. The only reason you got in was because of your scholarship. You are not a good student. But a talented football player. And now everything becomes even more difficult. While trying to learn for your upcoming test, someone knocks on your door. Tzuyu, your stepsister. Her and her mom, Jihyo, seemed to have gotten into a huge fight once again. Can you cheer her up?
11.
The one thing you love most about your job is the fact that you see beautiful women pretty much every day. Being a photographer enables you to make them take any kind of pose in any kind of outfit. Of course, when you started your career, you never thought about it like this. Until you meet Im Yoona.

KDrama Year in Review 2023
While I watched more KDramas this year than CDramas, none of them consumed my heart and soul quite like this year's crop of CDramas did (CDrama review post here). And I dropped KDramas more readily than I have in years past, in part because there were so many more things to watch than I had time for (also I had to finish my dissertation and graduate, etc etc). Still, there were definitely some that I really, really enjoyed, so here's this year's KDrama round up:
16. My Lovely Liar: Started strong, got boring real quick. Dropped for homophobic murder plot. Still, glad to see that Hwang Min Hyn can actually act (although full disclosure, I did still enjoy him in Alchemy of Souls, wooden as that performance may be). Hoping Kim So Hyun can catch a break and get a role in a drama more worthy of her in the near future.
15. Crash Course in Romance: Excellent performances and chemistry by the ML and FL. Romance between two middle aged people instead of youths is also a treat. Dropped around ep 12 because of the unnecessary, homophobic murder plot. Pass.
14. A Good Day to Be a Dog: Surprisingly stronger than the goofy premise suggests, largely on the basis of Park Gyu-Young's performance as the FL who turns into a dog upon being kissed. Pacing problems in the third act around the origins of the whole dog curse thing. Can't say I recommend unless you're really in the mood for some shenanigans, but largely inoffensive if a little silly. (Also it turns out Cha Eun Woo *really* leveled up his kiss game for this one!)
13. Love to Hate You: Perfectly serviceable rom com. Nothing too special, but a nice weekend binge if you're in the mood for that. Also a good way to see Kim Ji-Hoon's v handsome face and that *hair* without having to deal with everything involved with his rather murderous run in Flower of Evil.
Tumblr media
12. Joseon Attorney: A Morality: Perfectly serviceable law procedural/Joseon historical. If you don't like either of those genres your mileage may vary, but I had missed having Bona on my screen, so it worked well enough for me.
11. Welcome to Samdal-ri: I seem to like this one more than literally everyone else I know, and I fully admit that my enjoyment of this drama is more vibes-based than plot-based. I guess I have a soft spot for Shin Hye Sun yelling at people at Ji Chang Wook going a bit unhinged over a woman who ran away from him (see also: Lovestruck in the City).
10. My Demon: Very much enjoying Song Kang as a cranky demon falling in love with a human. Very tropey in the best way, and feels like a return to form for the supernatural romance genre. Remains to be seen if they'll land the ending as of this writing, but enjoying as it goes.
9. Doctor Cha: A contribution to the slate of divorce comedies I watched this year (see also: Strangers Again (KDrama) and Let's Get Divorced (JDrama)), a surprisingly touching story about growing older when you've devoted your life to someone who has not done the same for you.
8. Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow (Part 2): While Ko Joon-Yung never quite managed to replace Jung So-Min as the FL for me, I definitely still enjoyed the closer to this fun fantasy series. Special shout out to Shin Seung-Ho as Prince Go Won and his pet turtle
7. Strangers Again: I didn't see a ton about this one on tumblr as it was airing, but I found this rom com? melodrama? divorce procedural? makjang? story about relationships and why they end unexpectedly profound. I tuned in expecting mindless makjang hot mess, and instead got a thoughtful meditation on divorce. Left me feeling unexpectedly melancholy at the end, but glad I watched it.
6. The Secret Romantic Guesthouse: Very fun sageuk! Probably won't knock your socks off, but it does what it does very well. Bonus points for a B couple as compelling as the A couple. I've also been a big Kang Hoon fan since Little Women, and there are a couple of other actors in here that I'm always glad to see working.
5. Perfect Marriage Revenge: Tour de force makjang. Came out of nowhere and blew me away. Hits all the right beats, and unexpectedly fun (and was a nice break from the heaviness of My Dearest for me). This was a good year for jaded and slightly unhinged transmigrated FL's back for their #revenge (see also: Story of Kunning Palace in CDrama land), and I was here for it. Also features one of the spiciest make-out scenes of the year, 10/10 recommend
4. See You in My 19th Life: Absolutely loved this haunting, melancholy, and sometimes unexpectedly goofy reincarnation drama. I loved the webtoon and had high expectations, and this drama largely met them! The continuing relationship between sisters Ji-Eum (Shin Hye Sun) and Cho-Won (Ha Yoon Kyung) was a special highlight for me, and while Shin Hye Sun is already a never-miss for me, I'm especially looking forward to whatever Ha Yoon Kyung does next. I prefer the ending of the Webtoon to the KDrama, but I'm still delighted this drama exists and am glad I watched it.
3. The Interest of Love: Look, I loved this drama. Even though it seemed on the surface like nothing but *mess* in the interpersonal lives of these characters working at a bank on the border between a rich and poor neighborhood in Seoul, it nonetheless had some of the most searing class commentary of the year for me. I also love an FL who will (spoiler) pack up her things and disappear at the drop of a hat, even if no one else will understand her decision to do so, because she just cannot deal anymore (see also: the FL in Lovestruck in the City, whom I also love but everyone else hated). This drama kept me gleefully coming back every week in a year where not a lot of others did.
2. Call It Love: A revenge slice of life melodrama that I found unexpectedly touching in its deep melancholy. Loved not only the main couple, but the relationship between the siblings and their pharmacist bestie. A lovely character study. (Also I somehow ended up watching this at the same time as Till the End of the Moon and Li Susu as Ye Xiwu's hidden identity/revenge plot, which was unexpectedly stressful! Had a very "it's the same picture" moment despite two dramas in two genres that could not be further apart.) If you missed this one (and since it aired on Disney+, you might have--Disney+'s effects on the KDrama streaming ecosystem will be the death of me), it's worth seeking out!
1. My Dearest (Parts 1 and 2): Kind of feels like everyone has said everything there is to say about sageuk of truly epic proportions, but it blew me away as well. Epic romance? Check. Twisty political machinations? Check. Heartwarming friendships between women? Check. Strong ensemble cast? And my top FL of the year, Lady Gil-Chae, played to perfection by Ahn Eun-Jin. I've adored her since Hospital Playlist, and am delighted that she's getting the attention and the roles she deserves. Namkoong Min also a top contender for ML of the year as Lee Jang-Hyun. Part 2 dragged for me a bit in places after a nearly perfect Part 1, but such a great drama overall.
Favorite Drama of the Year: My Dearest. See above.
Tumblr media
Favorite Female Character: I mean, it's gotta be Gil Chae from My Dearest, right? She starts out as such a spiteful, spoiled noblewoman, and then turns out to have a core of pure steel. Turns out all her conniving and strategizing, which went towards causing mischief in the village, really just needed a proper outlet. While I would never want to be in the circumstances in which she found herself, if I did, she's exactly who I would want on my side.
Tumblr media
Favorite Male Character: Everything's coming up My Dearest this year, because this one is Lee Jang-Hyun in My Dearest as well. Checks the box for my competence kink, and has a knack for showing up just when Gil-Chae needs him, even at great personal cost. Also a smart-ass, which I probably like a bit too much in a man.
Tumblr media
Favorite Secondary Female Character: Cho-Won from See You in My 19th Life. Her relationship with her reincarnated older sister was almost more compelling to me than the main romance sometimes, and really helped develop how the ties that bind us are not just romantic ones. Also she was just super cute
Tumblr media
Favorite Secondary Male Character: Could have picked anyone from Team Himbo in Alchemy of Souls, but gonna have to give this one to Go Won, himbo prince of my heart
Tumblr media
Favorite Ship: Again, it's gotta be Gil-Chae and Lee Jang-Hyun in My Dearest. Sometimes, there are drama couples that nearly cause me pain when they are apart, and these two quickly became one of them. Though their relationships is hardly functional for much of it, through all that push and pull, they ultimately learn how to show up for each other. Also, their *chemistry* is insane!
Tumblr media
Favorite Secondary Ship: I loved Hye-Seong and Sung Joon, the B couple in Call it Love. Seeing the SFL grow more comfortable with herself after a truly shitty ending to her previous relationship was a nice respite from the hidden identity stress of the A couple in this one. I'm also a sucker for a good romance where you start to see someone you've long taken for granted differently. (Close Runner Up: Cho Won and Do-Yun in See You in My 19th Life)
Tumblr media
Favorite Platonic Relationship: Gil-Chae, Eun-Ae, and their maids, Jong Jong and Bong Doo, in My Dearest. I loved loved loved the relationship between these women in this drama, and part of the reason the second half of the drama suffered a bit for me is because of how far it moved away from this core relationship. They were ride or die for each other more than the majority of the men in their lives, and I loved that for them.
Tumblr media
Trope that Needs to Die: While I find murder plots in rom coms tedious at the best of times, homophobic murder plots are really not it. Quit it, y'all. It's not cute.
Dramas I Missed: Moon in the Day, The Story of Park's Marriage Contract, and Tell Me That You Love Me (grrr Disney+ on this one) are on the list for next year. I'm probably missing others.
Non-2023 Drama Spotlight: Finally went back and watched Do You Like Brahms? for a hit of Park Eun-Bin. A lovely, if also melancholy, slice of life romance that's just as much about what to do when a (career related) dream that you've worked really, really hard for just isn't going to come through as it is about the main romance. Also made me fall in love with Kim Min-Jae and his lovely deep voice, enough so that I also then went back and finally watched Dali and the Cocky Prince, which was also a treat. Recommend both.
Tumblr media
Most Looking Forward To: I continue to yearn for a Yumi's Cells 3, and who's to say if that one will ever come through, but I'm putting it out into the universe anyway. More realistically, I'm looking forward to the surprisingly stacked line-up of sageuks coming up, including Captivating the King and Love Song for Illusion.

Obviously I could talk for 6 years straight about the main characters of Castaway Diva and how amazing they are both as parts of the story and as rounded individuals in their own rights. How Mokha has wielded her kindness as strength her whole life and how it disarms people who are used to selfishness in this sometimes dark world, how Kiho is unwavering and resolute even when he looks three seconds away from bursting into tears, how Chaeho always claims to be selfish but is someone who works endlessly for others and notices the small things many overlook which makes him both a great journalist and an incredible big brother. We could talk about how just and honourable Lee Uk is even though he is the first to break the law when the law disagrees with what is just and honourable like a real life superhero. How Jaekyung has every reason to give up many times but is fuelled by a need to believe that things are good and can be good so she keeps going even if it means she has to make them good herself. How Ranjoo is beaten pillar to post by an industry that rips people to shreds but still loves it and wants to see it change into something good again even if that means more and more self-sacrifice. All of these go without saying.
But you know a character I loved? Morae. From an Eastern perspective no doubt she is a disrespectful, rude, annoying, selfish little brat and yes… she is all those things. But at the same time the show never moves away from reminding us that Ranjoo treated her like trash. Unlike Mokha and Yonggwan, she wasn’t Ranjoo’s choice, and Ranjoo punished her for that. In any Western media this rebellion would be romanticised, she’d be shown as another person to cheer for, while in traditional Eastern she would be villainised in every way. Many Kdramas have characters like Morae that never get a happy ending and that’s seen as right because she disrespected her seniors which is an offence comparable to murder. But Castaway Diva does not do that and blends both perspectives into a beautifully well-rounded character. This is someone who from day one was told she was second best, had everything she tried to do picked at, and she couldn’t do anything because Ranjoo was her senior. When she became bigger than her senior she got mean, and instead of choosing kindness and forgiveness in the face of hate like Mokha does, she chose pettiness and rudeness, which could have easily made her the token bad guy. Instead the show touches on the loneliness of having someone you admire seem to hate you, how she acts selfish because no one is ever on her side not even Seojun and Yonggwan sometimes, and how hard it is for her to see her selfish actions might be letting down her fans, a group of people she clearly adores. In the end she swallows her pride and asks for help, and never rubs it in Ranjoo’s face when she accepts the offer for royalties, because she knows that while she and her senior can never be friends they can be successful if they work together. And she is - she gets her number one and reconnects with Ranjoo on social media as her way of saying ‘I was ashamed before but now we are in this together, Sunbae.’
I love her, I love how she was written, I love how she was acted out with the varying shades of stink eye and ‘is about to start crying’, I love how she was absolutely a real and loveable pain in the butt and not a caricature like she could so easily have been.
Castaway Diva… you did great. 5 stars.

Dramas for the first half of 2023
Now that we are six months into 2023, time to do one of these posts. I am gonna include both Korean and Chinese dramas, because why not and any drama I even checked out is on it.
DRAMAS WATCHED
29. Romance of Twin Flower  (China) - make it cease existing! My favorite het web novel got murdered and then had its grave spat on.
28. Dominator of Martial Gods  (China) - if MST3K still existed, this drama would be prime material for it.
27. Wanru’s Journey  (China) - acting. Try it!
26. Royal Rumors  (China) - they tried acting. But forgot to try having a functional screenplay on top.
25. The Last Princess  (China) - acting is nonexistent and the story is trash but it never aspired to be what it wasn’t and was kinda cute.
24. Oasis  (Korea) - great acting in a story with a screenplay that goes round and round fruitlessly like a hamster in a cage.
23. The Trust  (China) - the OTP in this one swaps bodies but it would have been better for everyone if whoever made this and an actual competent writer swapped theirs.
22. Snow Eagle Lord  (China) - yet another drama in which Xu Kai does his best to keep acting opposite a wooden costar and through a terrible screenplay. There is something seriously wrong with that man’s career choices.
21. Heartbeat  (Korea) - the good: it’s harmless. The bad: it’s harmless.
20. Back from the Brink  (China) - ummm the people are pretty? And if I were 10 I’d be all about this show but as is...
19. Joseon Attorney  (Korea) - slightly less fun than reading a legal treatise.
18. The Starry Love  (China) - the definition of a xianxia playing it safe and pastel; I did love the secondary couple a lot but it was not enough to save that snoozefest of a drama.
17. Chong Zi  (China) - badly acted and a screenplay that somehow manages to be both repetitive and disjointed. But I am a sucker for the shizunfucker trope so here we are.
16. Island  (Korea) - a mess but Kim Nam Gil is hot with a sword.
15. Circle of Love  (China) - rationally, a hot mess. But so entertaining and addicting and fall of make outs of epicness!
14. Lady Durian  (Korea) - makjang from the Queen of Makjang and with that scrumptious cast! This is gonna be GOOD!
13. The Forbidden Marriage  (Korea) - sweet and oddly charming despite nobody in it bothering to act much.
12. Pledge of Allegiance  (China) - the way they had to edit it likely due to censorship made it less than it what could have been but still more than most dramas this year.
11. Choice Husband (China) - delicious cliches and tropes and angst in the rain!
10. Hidden Love  (China) - to make ME of all people to care about a fluffy modern is a bona fide miracle but the two mains are chemistry machines who portray longing so well.
9. Gone with the Rain  (China) - wildly uneven but our heroine and the sexy general she eventually chooses are pure gold!
8. The Secret Romantic Guest House (Korea) - how to do youth sageuk right. Everything about this just works!
7. Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow  (Korea) - it has flaws but is so gorgeous and full of longing and grief and everything good!
6. Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938  (Korea) - a sequel/prequel that is almost as good as the original, how often does that happen?
5. See You In My 19th Life  (Korea) - wacky and grieving, delicate and odd, this is everything I ever want in a kdrama.
4. Call It Love  (Korea) - a truly exquisite story of trauma and loneliness and healing and love.
3. Till the End of the Moon  (China) - gloriously messy in every way this is just MORE. The ending is enraging and there are issues but when it hits, it hits so hard the rest of it does not matter - the dark characters, the dysfunctional love story, the battles, the insane visuals, the EVERYTHING of it. This is what fantasy should be like.
2. Chang Feng Du/Destined  (China) - came out of nowhere to own my heart via its story of growing up and finding love and slow organic relationship building and keeping your soul in a world of horrors.
1. The Ingenuous One  (China) - the best one, so I am gonna talk about it below.
FAVORITE DRAMA
The Ingenuous One - so impossibly solid, from acting to visuals to screenplay to EVERYTHING! Adult characters with adult issues and choices, both moral dilemmas and battles equally compelling. The love stories, the friendships, the shades of grey. This is utterly and completely adult.
WORST DRAMA
Romance of the Twin Flower - if I could make one drama cease to exist, this would be it.
FAVORITE MALE CHARACTER
Tantai Jin, Till The End of the Moon - the best character this year hands down - by turns (and timelines) unhinged monster, a contained saint, a victim of abuse trying to attain being viewed as human, a schemer, a ruler, grief personified, curiosity and monstrosity and nobility all mingled.
Runner up: Jang Uk, Alchemy of Souls - sunshine boy gone dark and grieving, but still with that same core of steel.
FAVORITE FEMALE CHARACTER
Shim Woo Joo, Call It Love - she’s damaged and impulsive and relationship-phobic and revenge driven and glorious!
Runner Up:  Shu Ya Nan (The Ingenuous One) - allowed to be tough and dark and with her own agenda and not a member of a good sect and just so cool.
NEEDS TO BE MURDERED
Han Dong Jin’s Mom, Call It Love - that woman was horrifying and the source of so much of his trauma; a real realistic monster petty in all ways except for the damage she inflicted.
FAVORITE SHIP
Gu Jiusi/Liu Yuru, Chang Feng Du - wholesome and helping each other grow and talking it out but also there is blood feeding and midnight rescues and everything. They are good but not in the least boring.
Runner Up: Woo Joo/Dong Jin, Call It Love - two wounded souls finding such slow but such amazing healing with each other.
FAVORITE SECONDARY OTP
Su Ming Yu/Ke Menglan, The Ingenuous One - there’s actually been a lot of good secondary OTPs this year (General x Fox in TTEOTM, Investigator x Princess, TIO, Rang/Mermaid, TOTNT1938) but these two owned my heart - gentleman merchant x gambling hostess ftw.
NOTP
Romance of Twin Flower - they took my favorite het novel OTP, smart and coldblooded and forces of nature and turned them into THAT?
SHIRTLESSNESS AWARD
Xiao Hong Ye, Circle of Love - guy was a terrible abuser but those pecs were the real sin!
CRAZIEST FUNFEST
Circle of Love - screenplay written by rabid monkeys and populated by a bunch of psychos but such ridiculous, irresistible fun!
FAVORITE SCENE
Tantai Jin confronting Li Susu in jail, Till the End of the Moon - the energy, the intensity, the darkness the EVERYTHING.
BIGGEST CRUSH
Li Gong Quan, The Ingenuous One - yeah whatever, I realize he’s a minor character but I loved him so much! The whole having to bring down your benefactor who’s gone evil tho you are in love with his daughter should have been a whole other drama!
BEST SCENE STEALER CHARACTER
Chen Wende, Gone with the Rain - most of this drama is not that exciting but whenever his King of Trolls hot general shows up, I sit up and pay attention. I am 35 eps deep because of him.
NEEDS A SEQUEL
The Ingenuous One - I am dying to see what happens to royal investigator and supposedly dead princess, how our OTP will travel the world, the merchant and his lady, Ten Taels and his orphans and his girl and just everything. I loved these people so!
NEEDS A DIRECTOR’S CUT
Till the End of the Moon - it was clear they cut a BUNCH in the last third to fit the ridiculous new “40 eps or bust” rule and it would flow so much more smoothly if it was allowed to breathe.
NEEDS SCISSORS TAKEN TO IT
Romance of Twin Flower - it should have been shredded into nonexistence sorry not sorry.
TOO MANY SCISSORS TAKEN TO IT
Pledge of Allegiance - this drama was good but had gaping lacunae where too many scissors were taken to it for censorship reasons; I am surprised even what’s left was allowed to air tbh but still...
TROPE THAT NEEDS TO DIE
Shrill = cute - I see it every year, I hate it every year.
FAVORITE TROPE WE’VE SEEN A LOT OF
Hot Men Whump - come one, TTEOTM alone would fill the quota but we also had CFD, Call It Love, See You in my 19th life etc etc.
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT
Back from the Brink - it’s based on a novel by an author whose other novels (Zhao Yao, Blue Whispers, Mulberry Song) I adore and the novelist was the screenwriter so I was so excited. But it was a juvenile, flat mess that de-powered the heroine and taught me that yeah, sometimes the writer should not adopt their work.
BIGGEST GOOD SURPRISE
Chang Feng Du - I loved the novel but the trailers were a fluffy bland disaster and I checked it out with zero expectations. However, this is a glorious adaptation, a lesson in how to transport a massive novel on screen into slim 40 eps and to account for changes in medium and stricter censorship restrictions for dramas versus books while keeping the essential vibe of the original.
BEST NON-2023 DRAMA I’VE WATCHED IN 2023
The Imperial Doctress (China) - the pining the pining by the Hot Emperor! This is like all my web novel dreams come true!
MOST ANTICIPATED
A Journey to Love/Prisoner of Beauty/My Journey to You/Kunning Palace - maybe one of them will air before the world ends.

This show in its wider plot writing since ep 3 ish has been mediocre half baked writing BUT hyunwoo and haein carried the show on their backs and were truly it's saving grace and I stand by the fact that there's been no relationship like theirs' on a kdrama screen, with the trope reversals, the complication, the communication, the passion, the love and importantly two well developed well rounded personalities that were a delight to watch even when it was frustrating. And because every ep I tuned in for them and was truly entertained with their relationship the show gets a 8/10 (1 point deducted for how they didnt talk about the loss or their baby which was criminal and 1 point deducted because they didn't kiss since like episode 5/6 I mean what even) and even with the 8/10 I think I'm being a little too generous cuz I still think they could have been written better.
But oh well kim soo hyun and kim ji won, the actors they are, get all the awards, there's no question about how much they deserve it.

Group F Round 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[image ID: the first image is of Li Ching Lung, a Taiwanese man with short, reddish-orange dyed hair. he has several ear piercings and a nose ring. he's wearing a sleeveless denim shirt with a long sleeve, white shirt underneath. the second image is of Fumi-ba, an elderly Japanese woman wearing a knitted hat, orange scarf, and a pink and white jacket. end ID]
Li Ching Lung
#1 his hair #2 he runs a ghost hunting youtube channel that is 100% fake and he's trying to make it big online #3 he's gay and loves his boyfriend so so much #4 he had silly little daydreams of his best friend and the new guy in their friend group as famous kdrama couples (this is a Taiwanese show) #5 his hair again #6 the amount he loves his boyfriend again #7 he is obsessed with skincare #8 he's a gamer #9 I love him
Fumi-ba
Grandma who runs a small takoyaki stand and gives advice to customers who need it. She encouraged so many of the main cast to follow their hearts and become happy that it broke my heart when she died. Then again, we did get to see the main character (who was a ghost at the time) wear a suit to her funeral x'D

Ooof. This is such a hard one. Any of my top 10/10 rated could go here: Seven Days, Color Rush, Light On Me, To My Star 1, We Best Love 1 & 2, Until We Meet Again Semantic Error.
Right now it’s probubly Light On Me.

5.     Name a popular drama you've never watched and why?
I Told Sunset About You is exactly as good as everyone says. It’s beautiful, well acted, well scripted, cinematographically stunning, and honest to the queer experience. Which is why I really struggled with it ad gave up about half way through.Too close to home. It was a memory-ache hurt watch. What’s the opposite of nostalgia? That’s what ITTSAY is.
6.     Name a drama you regret watching.
2008 A Frozen Flower Korea
2016 A Round Trip to Love China
2016 Grey Rainbow: Views of Love Thai
2016 My Bromance the series Thai
2006 No Regrets Korea ( I HAVE REGRETS)

7.     Name a drama you thought you’d never watch but did and did you end up            liking it?
Well I watch everything BL so that first bit won’t apply. I’m a completest. So instead I’ll go with drama I thought I wouldn’t like but unexpectedly ended up liking: Oh! Boarding House. I’m nto wild about BL sitcom formats, and this one started out that way, about half way through it switch to a standard Kdrama style and then I liked it a lot more.

8.     Name a pairing you want to see?
Crazy BL Actor Pairing I'd Love to See has a whole list but if you want me to pick just one? Sam Lin & Saint Suppapong. And yes, I am aware they do not speak the same language. Don’t bother me with trifles. This is my fantasy casting, you’re just reading about it.
9.     Name a pairing you didn’t think had chemistry?
Most recently the worst I can think up is Physical Therapy. Blerg.
10.  Name a pairing you have seen in another drama that you like?
Tumblr media
Sugus & Tenon from Golden Blood (PitchBank). They’ve never co-branded as a pair though so I don’t think we will ever get more of them.
SamYu of course.
I mean, I could go on...
Play if you want! Tag me if you do, I always love seeing peoples answers to these kinds of things.
