i love it when conservatives say they listen to nirvana and not knowing what any of the following songs are about
in bloom = fans who listen to nirvana without knowing the meaning of their songs
pennyroyal tea = a woman who wants to get an abortion
r@pe me = anti r@pe (believe it or not)
polly = a girl who was kidnapped and survived the abuse
territorial pissings = violence against indigenous peoples
also kurt cobain was friends with kathleen hanna (who started the riot grrrl movement) and she actually was the reason smells like teen spirit got its name
he was also an advocate for lgbt rights
and conservatives still say they love kurt cobain?? where is the logic??

The fact that the soundtrack of “Wendell and Wild” is mostly black rock bands and black fronted rock bands is phenomenal. Not to mention a lot of it is music not heard in the mainstream very much, such as riot grrrl/ghoul. The attention to detail when it came to representation in this film, down to the soundtrack, is amazing.
