It’ll feel cold and heavy, and bark at your touch,
It’ll plant a kiss on your forehead wet with heat,
It’ll hold you at night and lay you to sleep,
It’ll paint reds and yellow and purples and fears,
It’s a stranger, it’s a ghost, it’s a lover, it’s a killer,
They only say the name in whispers and lies
IT’S A GUN IT’S A GUN IT’S A GUN
DEADLY WEAPONS LIVE ON ITCH
The new TTRPG from myself and @sublimemarch is out now! Deadly Weapons is a game about power, gender, trauma, desire, and hope. It is set in an urban fantasy world very similar to our own, but where underneath the surface Demons prowl and Avatars hunt. Players will create these Avatars, girls who one day had a gun arrive in their possession. A gun that cries in their dreams and never leaves their side. A gun which whispers in their ear that they must hunt and kill Demons. Demons are all around the Avatars, existing as classmates, bosses, or even romantic interests. But whether an Avatar fires their gun is up to them.
Deadly Weapons is a tabletop roleplaying game for about 2 to 6 players, including a guide. It is a hack of the [BXLLET> system by @rathayibacter, with a focus on atmospheric and narrative play. The game uses no dice or other randomizers. Instead, characters willingly take on various risks represented by the Avatars gaining Dooms and suffering fallout over the course of play.
Deadly Weapons is also a collage piece, made using at least 75% recycled or secondhand physical materials. The art, rules text, poetry, and fiction contained within this 32 page digital zine serves to inform your play.
Your gun whispers sweet nothings as you fitfully roll in your bed. It is now time. Be a girl with a gun! Hunt Demons! Smooch Demons! Live! Die!

I have finally made some crust pants!!!!! Half of the stuff I stole from my girlfriend, a third I made, and then my t shirt from the 2012 Homestuck kickstarter is on here because that's just who I am as a person. Featuring the ever popular Shrimps Is Bugs, a sweatermuppet-inspired "Transsexuals Have Got To Get Meaner" patch, and some screen printing from a cool dude at a flea market I met a couple weeks ago. Oh yeah, and a cool Audrey Plath shirt! Queer crustpunk cripplepunk forever 😤

i love it when conservatives say they listen to nirvana and not knowing what any of the following songs are about
in bloom = fans who listen to nirvana without knowing the meaning of their songs
pennyroyal tea = a woman who wants to get an abortion
r@pe me = anti r@pe (believe it or not)
polly = a girl who was kidnapped and survived the abuse
territorial pissings = violence against indigenous peoples
also kurt cobain was friends with kathleen hanna (who started the riot grrrl movement) and she actually was the reason smells like teen spirit got its name
he was also an advocate for lgbt rights
and conservatives still say they love kurt cobain?? where is the logic??

I really, really need more women and girls to make punk/punk adjacent feminist music like the Bleeders or S.C.U.M.
I need to see "SCUM Punk"/"Gash Rock" spread as the new dominant political/feminist movement in alt scenes (I think S.C.U.M. are using Gash Rock like the Bleeders instead of SCUM Punk now, but I still figured I should inlude it for those unaware, I know it was SCUM Punk in the zine, but obv it's not possible to retroactively edit a zine). I'm tired of liberal-ass Riot Grrrl music that's just like "I somehow "reclaimed" the status-quo and now I love it!!! I'm mainly going to yell about other women and personal occurances!! I will materially change nothing and only defend things I like without questioning why I even like them!!! Yay western hyper-individualism!!!!" etc. All while claiming to be radicals and leftists. Alt scenes are so filled to the brim with misogyny, and Riot Grrrl does genuinely nothing to challenge that.
It is so frustrating to listen back to a lot of my past Riot Grrrl favs sometimes now, but I do think that they were right about fighting for their beliefs with loud and angry music. It is such a solid avenue to build a movement out of. There's no better way to get people interested than artistic expression that they think is cool.
So, just like the Riot Grrrls of yesterday and the Gash Rockers of today, grab instruments and start yelling. Make a band. It doesn't have to be all women/girls to start. You don't need to know how to play when it comes to punk or music like it, you just need to be angry and have the ability to google basic chords or beats. Start yelling. Start screaming. Make it so that they can't ignore the voices of women and girls suffering in this patriarchal hellscape system anymore. There's already a couple bands literally doing it, so now is the TIME for you too!!
