SCOWL
“Hello, gentlemen,” she said as she walked up to the five men. Everyone was staring, as they should be. “I’m Doctor Edgewing. Doctor Thiggins called in a favor.” She offered out her hand to one of the guards—not her target. He took her hand, and shook it warmly. No purple marks, as expected. “This place is a mess right now,” she added, offering her hand to the second guard.
“We’re at war, ma’am,” her target said. “And you’re making pleasantries while we have important things to be doing?”
Rinnie offered her hand out to him. “Important things like shooting a crowd that can neither be classified as angry or rioting?”
He scowled at her hand, but she didn’t draw it back. Eventually, social graces and peer pressure would take over.

RED
“The situation changed…”
“You can’t go from a hard curfew to forced evacuation in ten minutes,” Fjord said, sighing deeply. “And where would you evacuate them to? The Gates have been bombed.”
“Hold on,” Killian said. “You mean to tell me he might not actually be a corrupt traitor and might just be a legitimate idiot?”
Gissing turned red and leapt to his feet as fast as his bulk would allow. His chair thumped against the floor behind him. “You insubordinate little shit!” he shouted. “I don’t care who you are or who you work for…”
The timing was too perfect. Everyone else had been taking turns interrupting the slimy jerk and now it was Rinnie’s turn. She smiled as she channeled Evianne’s grace into a mental barrier and slammed it between Nidtrix and the Vice Commissioner. She may have done it a little too hard. Tragic.

CHEW
“Hey, tapu! Kame uya danshi?”
Kanjo laughingly excused himself from the room, dragging Lodgepool behind him.
Rinnie stopped chewing and stared at her food for a good ten seconds before looking up at Julian.
“You called me a potato before you asked what I was doing,” she said flatly.
Julian’s face flushed red. “I meant to say ‘cutie’,” he said sheepishly.

BOX
Mica walked with a skip to her step as she made her way into Headquarters from the car. Conveniently, people had to go between Headquarters and the ordnance compound frequently enough that it was no trouble to hitch a ride. She carried a box full of various salves and serums in her hands.
Technically, she’d had them when Killian’d called inquiring about them forty-five minutes prior, but she’d lied and told him she’d have to whip some up and would deliver them to the hospital as soon as she could. She couldn’t just let people know she had this stuff in her bag! She figured forty-five minutes would be enough time for her to have done alchemist-y things.
She probably could have talked the car into dropping her off at the hospital, but she wanted to chat with everyone at Headquarters too. She got to the front desk and circled around to a part she could see over. Killian wasn’t there. Nate and Paul were, though.
“I, ah, have the stuff Rinnie was asking for,” she said.

❤️What scene do you think your readers will love/anticipate the most?
For TBW, I really hope they love the riot scene. It's not really a happy scene (as the name would imply), but it's one of my favorites and I hope everyone can see why.
For Siege, the most anticipated scene is likely Rinnie showing up at the Tom.
For CTQ, I hope everyone loves the reunion scene. I bet it's highly anticipated. Though, there are multiple reunions, but I'm going to leave it vague.
For Heist, the festival scene. I love it, so far betas love it. So, yeah!
