anyway i know cars arent a thing in the boiling isles but i think the hagsquad during their school years would have been the types to crash a car into a stop sign at 50 mph in a school zone.

and after that perry would try to make sure no one is hurt and call his parents/the cops to pick them up. alador would try to fix the car but he'd get distracted and start taking it apart instead. odalia would try to bribe the cops to not report this. darius would get in the cop's face and be like "arrest us no i DARE you to arrest us do you know who i am? my mentor is THE golden guard suck it." lilith would curl up in the back trunk and have a two-hour long panic attack because she'll never get accepted into the emperor's coven if she doesn't have a spotless driving record. (she wasn't driving.) (alador was.) (he got distracted by a bird.) raine would try to hide the broken stop sign. eda would try to hide the car.

i'll forever wish that hsmtmts was one of those shows that got 22 episodes a season so every character and plotline could've been given the proper treatment they deserved. like yeah it's a lot for the premise it had, but more episodes would've meant delving more into their backgrounds or giving more development into friendships and relationships of the show. i'm also still kind of mad that the season that was arguably their weakest ended up with the most episodes, while their stronger seasons had a limited number of episodes.

“She is a starting employee. She has a six-year-old child. This is her first job.”

“She’s short $567. What would you suggest she do?” I pressed.

“I don’t know; I’d have to think about it,” he answered. I asked whether the teller should borrow on her Chase credit card, or if she should overdraft her checking account, noting that the monthly budget did not even allow for clothing, medicine, or school lunches. Each time, he repeated that he would have to think about it.

As the exchange was replayed online millions of times, my colleagues asked me how I’d thought of this line of questioning. More than Mr. Dimon’s refusal to acknowledge the mismatch between worker pay and household expenses, the wonder of my fellow representatives disheartened me. For all the bloviating about Democrats being “for the people” and Republicans advancing “a pro-worker agenda,” I confounded politicians on both sides of the aisle by raising that exact topic."
