Deryn's is a reference to Burn Me Once by Bella White for the TBOSAS movie. So both just a Hunger Games reference already and I think that works for honestly any of the Victors who then gotta go through the Quarter Quell

First name was simple, I wanted to follow the main Descendants naming rule of sharing a first letter with your parent and Gabriel was one of the first names that came up
Last name was also simple since in early drafts of Beauty and the Beast, Gaston's last name is Legume (I think technically it's LeGume but, I'm just spelling it like the word y'know I don't care)
