Saw a video on tiktok of someone re-binding a copy of the Hobbit and giving it a really beautiful new cover and I could not get the idea of Steve doing that for Eddie out of my head.

He hears Eddie mention in passing that he's always preferred homemade gifts (partly bc of the thought that goes into them but also because people spending money on him makes him uncomfortable) and Steve decides he needs to think of something he can make Eddie.

Steve may not be considered "clever" by the others but I'm convinced that boy is a do-er. When it comes to physical and practical skills, he will just learn and do it. He painstakingly researched and buys leather and special glue for book blinding, and even learns calligraphy so he can write beautifully on the inside cover.

And when he presents it to Eddie, wrapped in stiff expensive wrapping paper, Eddie asks where he got it and Steve says casually

"I made it"

As if he didn't spend months, didn't ruin at least 5 other copies of the Hobbit before he got it right, as if it wasn't so much work and time.

But Eddie gets it anyway, he understands and that's why he immediately bursts into tears.

Decided to take a class on government this year just for funsies and this happened yesterday.

Teacher: "If NAME enslaves NAME, he just took away her LIBERTY. And say NAME kills NAME because she doesn't want to be enslaved, well she just took his LIFE. If BUNNY doesn't wanna pay for things, she's gonna go rob NAME in the middle of the night and that's taking his PROPERTY."

Everyone: *stares in strangely awed silence*

Teacher: "THE MORE YOU KNOW!"

#she is a very enthusiastic person #she also gave an example of wanting to murder her husband for not doing dishes #it's all so entertaining because she's tiny and very rambunctious while the rest of us are gigantic (compared to her) and realtively calm

man. as much as i love the yin yang episodes as they are. & as much as i love woody as a character & the dynamic he brings to the psych universe. still wish that woody had been mr yin

#rusty speaks #psych #wouldve been SUCH a good twist. admittably too dark for the show but still #like. yang being someone realtively unknown to shawn vs yang being someone he's relatively close too #yang being an outsider vs yin being IN THE DEPARTMENT.#LITERALLY. yang being technically innocent (dont remember the ep that well so dont quote me) vs yang being complicit controlled chaos #it would provide all the necessary emotional gravity the third ep lacked!!!#the layers of. How could our friend do this. How could we have missed this. How could we have underestimated him that severely #LIKE. IT WOULD BE SCARY IN THE WAY THAT EPISODE SHOULDVE BEEN. because that ep attacks GUS #like gus is the emotional center of the show! hes rhe one that keeps shawn grounded! their love for each other literally DRIVES THE PLOT.#but i dont remember feeling any sense of urgency at all. #01 my post #09 personal #its harrrdddd my back hurts after a long day plus this cursed chair/desk combo...#down on my knees begging you please. tomorrow? ill have all the time in the world (except german in the evening but thats EVENING!)..#also today i bought really nice food containers that stack well and ones 500ml and the other is 1000ml #the first one perfect for taking lunches (its realtively short n wide so good for even sandwiches and stuff!)#and the second one for storing food!! its twice as tall as the other one and their lids are the same size which makes me so happy.#oh i also picked up my train pass for the welcome days + uni today #the pass my social worker gave me was an unlimited pass to zurich + trams for exactly 1 month which is pretty funny #he didnt say it outright of course but i read it as Ummm try to last a month in uni and ill give you a pass for the semester Maybe. ok babe #haha and im proud for myself for finishing homework today! its fucking late and our topic is car parts which i dont fucking care about #but i struggled through. still catch myself forgetting lots of important everyday words but i know i can get by even w just guessing!!
