I really liked how she was close (or sorta close) with her abuela. But she can be a little intense. One thing that did annoy me was the fact that abuela was spelled 'buela. I don't know why. Maybe because my slang is abue??? Who knows, I mainly say abuela anyways. I really don't care for Tyrone. He's a spoiled little man child that needs to grow up. I don't like his mom either. Which I mean, are we really supposed to? I am so glad that everything worked out and the ending! I had so many emotions at the end! Also, all the food. I remember seeing a ton about this one back when it released in January of this year so it’s been on my TBR list for a while. Thankfully, it was worth the wait! . This is a delightful story about Leo, the youngest of five sisters who desperately wants to help prepare for the annual Dia de los Muertos festival in their town of Rose Hill, Texas. When she’s turned away, again, she discovers that her family has been cooking up more than sweet treats at their bakery - they’re brujas - witches of Mexican ancestry! Leo starts dabbling on her own and when her best friend Caroline needs help, she comes up with a spell. What could go wrong, right? Um, a lot! . This was an absolutely delightful read from start to finish. The Amazon page says it’s going to be a series and that would be fantastic because Leo is a really fun character to root for and I’d love to see more of her (mis)adventures!
