If Lestat had a Instagram

I've been thinking about this for awhile now because the new IWTV show is having the characters set during modern day so what if Lestat had social media? 👀Especially him being such an obnoxious vain rich guy, I think Lestat is the type to have a social media. 💯He also has a darkly charismatic personality so he would be very popular online. He'd have millions of cult-like followers and he would post incredibly bold things that are not politically correct, naughty, and horribly offensive.So he would regularly get banned and then un-banned all the time. 😖He would be very controversial on social media and in real life - due to his rock star celebrity past and bratty, rebellious attitude of still exposing his vampire nature to the human world for his own sadistic fun. 😅I'm not that dumb so I definitely would NOT openly follow Lestat like the other millions of stupid humans who would think it's totallyyy safe to follow a hot psychotic vampire and not end up hunted and eaten. 🙄For my own safety, I would not click like or comment on his posts and keep my distance but I would lurk on his social media page and keep an eye on what he's posting about because I'd have a morbid curiosity in all the trouble and drama that Lestat would get himself into online. 😅I would privately gossip about his horrible antics on social media because I feel like Lestat would be a fascinating train wreck for me to watch and secretly talk shit about. 🤣Just like he is for me in the TV show. 🤭Season 2 is not out yet and I'm not 100% sure what the production writers are planning to do with modern Lestat ??? I'll find out next year in 2024. 😁But for this post, I used a combination of Sam Reid's portrayal of TV Lestat in season 1, also mixed with Anne Rice's portrayal of book Lestat, and my imagination for fun! 😆I edited the photos to look like real Instagram posts so you might have to zoom in to read the captions clearly or just look at the photos but it is accurate to what I imagine Lestat's instagram page would look. 😂😂😂

because @ca-suffit is too chicken to put up my ask that I sent off anon I’ll post this here. I am not okay with people hiding behind supposedly good deeds like defending the poc or lgbtqia community to bully others.

i don’t mind putting my name here to make some points and not hide. and yeah I blocked you ahead of time because I know people like you thrive on drama and I’m not going to be a part of that. this will be a one and done. and tbh you really have already put your foot in your mouth so many times on your responses that to anyone relatively sane you look completely out of control.

i don’t know where the racism you are alleging to is coming from but there’s many instances in elisaintime videos that address this topic and she did so very kindly and level headedly when she responded back to you here. You obviously have not watched anything of hers

but I’ll say what everyone is thinking seeing this back and forth today (and as someone rarely on this app I can’t believe I had to see this when I came here to just vibe). you seem to be incredibly jealous of elisaintime. and before you retort there’s no way you could POSSIBLY be jealous, yes you are. dig deep in there and admit to yourself, you don’t have to admit it to anyone else but yourself so you can deal with your own emotions fully. These kind of delusional statements made on nothing but your opinion rather than facts (we have yet to see your receipts you supposedly have) is indicative of someone who is extremely insecure and quite honestly just plainly put a bully because you can’t have what you want. yep you are a bully what people in this fandom hate. You aren’t stopping any racism or making the poc community any more safe by instigating fights and making claims that have no basis for fact. It degrades the works the fandom has done to point out the problems and actually sweep out the real racists.

now away from that garbage fire and onto the other issue. AMC needs to be held responsible if you really thinking they are only inviting white people (that wouldn’t be elisaintime fault it would be solely on amc). But I doubt you actually believe what you’re saying here because if you did the easiest way to hold a company responsible is unengaging with them. Sure send them emails about their problematic racism instead of emails that honestly makes you look like some unhinged mega fan just starting tumblr drama. make them realize that the fandom holds power and don’t support that and they will lose engagement and money real fast and clean up their act and apologize. Simple. But again you aren’t going to do that because you don’t actually believe what you’re saying. Boycotting has worked wonders to get a message out by the people in the past for many things currently happening in the world. But I doubt you actually care enough to boycott amc right now because that means your show would suffer.

The real issue is this. You hate the idea of someone who might even remotely dislikes or criticizes the show getting something you didn’t get. we are all thinking it. Jealousy is normal response but it’s how you react to it that lets people know how you really are. It is not a good look for you or show fans or pocs. You are afraid of one influencers opinion that isn’t raving is going to hurt ratings. Reality check any publicity is good publicity that’s showbiz which seems like you greatly misunderstand. A variety of reviews makes things realistic. things aren’t black and white good or bad you love or you hate there’s middle ground. the show will be okay you don’t have to defend it like this in such a brash and rude way that has nothing to stand on except your opinion of some YouTube influencer. If you really think your thing is any good then it doesn’t have to be protected and sheltered.

I have so many things to say but I think that’s plenty for you to stomach. I would rarely do this, but I was so shocked to see the spite that I had to write something. wishing you the best, truly. Please get some therapy.

@elisaintime I dont want to even entertain replying to “the thread” but I want to let you know this was completely uncalled for by this person. I am so sorry that the fandom continues to thrive on made up stories and drama to somehow try to feel superior to others. We can all enjoy media in our own way. There are normal people here who genuinely watch your videos and appreciate what you’ve done within the vampire community to not interact with bullies and racists and bigots. I’ve seen you support black and brown influencers for years.

Hannibal and IWTV are the same story in a different font/hj

Thus, I drew them like this!

OK SO LISTEN

First of all, they’re both based on book series which were first adapted into semi-faithful movies in the early 90s- and then into creatively altered modern TV series, which took many liberties from the written source, and accentuated the queer subtext.

In terms of story:

Sad pathetic man with no joy in his heart and incredible empathy for humans (despite his violent predispositions), meets a fanciful European man with classy tastes—

Beneath the facade however, this man actually murders people and feeds on them. Like he very literally, feeds on his victims bodies. Repeatedly, casually, and without reservation or shame. He’s methodical of course, but not exactly merciful.

The murderous man immediately decides to peruse the empathetic man (maybe in hopes that he’ll be understood, incredible empathy and all) (also gay) (Infatuation/ intrigue at first sight)

And he ushers him into a new life full of death, murder and secrecy. All to the detriment of the empathetic man’s mental well-being, of course. He hates what he is becoming in this environment, but by the time he realizes it- it’s too late to back out. He’s slowly breaking down.

At a point of crisis, a recently orphaned young girl comes into the men’s lives. They become father figures to her, without her say in the matter. Her arrival could be seen as the murderous man’s attempt to “baby trap” the other- sensing that he’s thinking about retreating. Either way, the empathetic man becomes especially attached to the young girl. He treats her like a daughter. He would do anything to keep her safe.

Turns out though, she actually takes more after the murderous man- as she herself is revealed to be quite murder-prone! She’s enabled by him too. He helps her in her killing adventures, teaches her what to do.

And then, conflict! Chaos ensues, so much manipulation, LIKE SO MUCH MANIPULATION, mutual failed murder attempts, and finally—

The men separate (left with a sense of betrayal)

This doesn’t last long. Across countries, despite rationality, and amidst the deaths of everyone around them- they always reunite.

The murderous man ends up isolated in a room for many years, waiting, where he knows the other will find him. He voluntarily backs down from the life he risked so much to have, and resigns himself to waiting- all in hopes that the other man will come back for him.

And that he does! There’s a rejection at first but,,

They’re bound together, intrinsically linked by their nature. Only they can understand each other. Reunited at last, they begin enabling each other once again. The empathetic man realizes he’s been repressing the very same inner violence that the other man seems so comfortable embracing- which convinces him to do the same. And thus, they were murder husbands. They make each other so much worse, but they are in love. Inseparable, bound together until the end.

Also they kiss they go mwahmwahmwahmwah

I COULD GO ON FOREVER BUT YOU GET THE IDEA.

If Louis had an Instagram

Last year, I made an Instagram aesthetic for Lestat and now I made one for Louis too. I know some might argue that modern Louis does not have a social media. Obviously, we have not seen modern Louis be on social media in the TV show. But at the same time, the TV show has never said that Louis does not have a social media.So technically, this is not wrong. 😝I actually feel like this would fit modern Louis because the point is he's revealing his vampire nature and he wants to tell his story to humanity.So I think it would make sense if Louis did create a social media in order to promote his new book for humans to read.Louis would IMMEDIATELY attract a ton of attention from humans who love reading vampire literature.Regardless, of if humans think Louis is a real vampire or just a human pretending to be a vampire, it would not matter because all of the vampire literature fans and book readers would definitely follow Louis. 😂Past Louis wore more color but modern Louis dresses all in black like he's going to a damn funeral so I feel like Louis is the type of guy who would have his phone on dark mode. 😖 His page would look dark and depressing. 🤣But it creates a contrast when I compare this to the Lestat aesthetic that's bright and vibrant it reflects their personalities. Lestat is the charismatic fun type. Louis is the sad depressing type it's opposites attract. Speaking of which, I know Lestat would definitely be all over Louis' social media. 😂😂😂I was laughing at their social media interactions because they are so toxic but I thought that their banter here was entertaining. 🤭

NOTE: I'm just posting this on my Tumblr today but this was originally made on my birthday (April 15) so I decided to post this vampire aesthetic and this was a lot of fun. 🎉❤️🎈
