Hi, this is the song that never ends . . . 🎶

(Kidding, nothing lasts forever, but holy heck it's been a season and I keep hoping for some stability before consistently sliding in across platforms, but here's what's happened since ^^^)

I've legit counted from Jan 31st through March 27th - 8 weeks - and someone in our household has been: sick with COVID, or needed outpatient surgeries, or hospitalized (my mom x3) FOR HALF OF IT (like almost 30 days) 🫠

- Just this past week, I did five days of prednisone and my mom had two outpatient procedures (Tuesday and Wednesday)

- Finished the prednisone on Saturday - and needed Claritin D Sunday morning. Praying for warmer weather. What a Lent. What an Easter.

I would just love . . . warmer weather, and medical stability in our house, please. That’s it. That's all I unfortunately got. I deeply apologize for not having responded to messages and notifs for weeks (or was it a month??) I know every one understands, and I so appreciate the compassion, I just also wanted to provide context and share why it might take me a while longer yet.

My brain is essentially still healing from the *gestures at last 15 months where my mom has been hospitalized 8 times*. We are easing into palliative care and settling into the new normal. I do feel I will be return eventually. Just not yet.

In the meantime, I'm more consistent on Discord (but DMs and reply times are still a shot in the dark), head to Twitter if you want to see some art things, and head to insta for the same (including art prints if you're interested).

As for me, I'm extending myself some compassion, easing into this season and look forward to slowly backreading notifications, DMs, tags and what not in the next few weeks. Thanks for your patience and understanding ~ miss y'all!

Okay so I shared here via the @iwtvartcoven post and here on twitter, but it's been one heck of a summer!

Most of my friends on discord and some in DMs on other platforms know some of it but it's been going on long enough that the whole "well maybe next week it'll be easier?" has just not happened so far 🫠

So, to summarize:

🫠 back in mid July my hubby got injured at work, and has been on short term disability ever since. He meets the spine doc again next month but it looks like we're heading towards surgery.

🫠 my mom was hospitalized twice this month.

🫠 first, thanks to insurance bs, then "who signs what?" Med team bs, the weekly infusions I'm supposed to be getting have been suspended for *checks notes* for FIVE WEEKS

SO I'm focusing on things that bring me joy, while simultaneously maximizing my day to day tasks to preserve my time and energy. Very grateful for fandom events to focus on creativity and community as I head into the fall season, but yeah some things unfortunately need to be (understandably) downsized - like me doing the art coven stuff for example.

I will say it's better than it has been! And it will be better than it is now - I have faith! But of course appreciate any good vibes/prayers sent my family's way. In fact, though I had obviously hoped to have caught up for the last *six weeks* on notifications, tags and DMs, hopefully if anything this post finds the people it's meant to in order to at least convey it was certainly nothing personal, and a promise that I am chipping away at it slowly but surely - I even have some time set aside this weekend to re connect with several friends here ✨️💕

So bear with me just a little while longer loves, I will be around more soon 🖤

Do you wonder if after the Mardi Gras murder, as Louis and Claudia stepped onto the boat and sailed away into Ash Wednesday - . . . If Louis reflected on that? Did he feel as despondent as ever, and wish he could run to the church that was burned and collect the ashes and make the sign of the cross on his forehead? To enter the forty spiritual days of Lent seeking repentance and absolution - recoiling internally until he could face every dark thing inside of himself keeping him from God? Did he view Lestat as Jesus, himself as Judas, and betray him with a kiss? Did he view it the other way around, bracing for facing the Devil in the desert of his soul?

Same night update . . .

Kids tested positive for COVID -

Luckily all are vaccinated, my mom and brother are isolating upstairs, we'll see if hubby and I get it . . . Some big important apps are being canceled starting tomorrow, but so long no symptoms get worse than a light flu, I'll try to keep myself spirits up ❤️

Of course well wishes, prayers, and good vibes are deeply appreciated 🙏🏻❤️

Hi hello! Okrrr here's the run down for January . . .

So I was spoiled by 3.5 weeks of nothing happening, so much so that I actually caught up with all DMs, things were feeling almost habitual in their level of calm . . . Was this going to be new normal? 2024 be peacefulll????

Well - you can read some details in the links below, but:

✨️ I uh, fainted on the 20th of January, and slammed into the toilet and have a suspected hairline fracture on my cheek - haven't been cleared for driving yet (that comes with more tests on the 8th - but it for sure wasn't like a stroke, or a heart attack or anything, thank God!)

✨️ My mom was unexpectedly hospitalized this Wednesday, had a procedure, and has been home since yesterday, yay! But naturally, fairly stressful!

✨️ we got a notice the kiddos were accidently exposed to strep throat at school, and since yesterday have been dealing with symptoms, including fevers 🫠 So, tomorrow for urgent care for doctors notes (and likely antibiotics if it is strep) we go!

So . . . Once again, my apologies for continuously stating intentions of "be back soon? Hopefully!" Only to disappear for weeks on end. My spoons are understandably a bit limited, and the most consistent sm platform I'm on is discord (daily) insta (few times a week) and sometimes twitter (bi weekly/weekly), but naturally it's fairly intential and time blocked, so yeahhhhh.

I'd love to say, maybe next week? But at this point I gotta wonder if I'm jinxing it 🫠

On good news! Hubby's post op went well! Things continue to heal, and he'll be resuming PT soon!

And grateful for creative outlets in between a *lot* of apps 👁👄👁

Hello, dear companions in the darkness! We hope you had very happy holidays and a rocking New Year!

We're back with another event for the month of love. The tagline for this event is "I Lay Down With the Devil", and it's all about celebrating our favourite toxic vampire romances.

The celebration will commence on February 1st and run until Valentine's Day on February 14th. This event is open to all creations for the AMC show, the movies and the Vampire Chronicles. You can find the rules, guidelines and other extra info below the cut.

We're looking forward to all your lovely creations! ♥︎

Rules and guidelines

The event will start on February 1st, and we have 14 prompts in total, one for each day. But feel free to use more than one per creation and to mix and match to your heart's desire.

As usual, this is a low-pressure event. If you participate for one day, amazing! If you manage to do all 14 of them, also amazing! We want this event to be a fun creative experience, so let that be your only goal.

Any kind of creation is welcome. Options include, but are not limited to: fanfiction, fanart, fanvids, edits, podfics etc. Whatever you feel inspired to create, we’re happy to have it.

I have an cute idea. Armand introduces Loustat to Baldurs Gate 3 insisting Astarion is like Lestat. Lestat hisses at screen first but Louis persuades him to cosplay as Astarion. Louis cosplays as Wyll. They don't even make it to the cosplay event before they are f*cking nasty in the outdoors.
