saw some clown on here whining about other people not liking kissing and reducing it to the gross parts and that it’s indicative of a society that fears flesh (which yes it does but that’s not how to go about making the point) and blah blah fucking blah

anyway instead of being a salty bitch and getting into an internet argument with some stranger I’m gonna be a Big Adult and use my rage and spite to remind all of you that

hating kissing is okay, you’re not weird or broken or a prude,

whether you’re asexual or allosexual it’s fine if you despise swapping spit with another human being, it doesn’t mean you love them any less, and you’re FINE. love is expressed in different ways. humans celebrate each other differently, love comes in different forms, it’s fine if you only want to kiss people you’re close to or not at all or literally anything in-between, and shaming people for hating an act of intimacy is fucked up. show love how you want. enjoy the company of others how you want. you don’t have to see kissing as anything more than the gross parts, and “reducing” it to that or whatever is just as okay as romanticizing it as something more. it’s just some ritual humans made up, and we’re allowed to feel literally any fucking way in the world about it.

I feel like part of autistic infighting is that the term encompasses such a huge range of disability, symptoms, and experiences that advocacy often struggles to be inclusive without becoming so unspecific it's toothless. On one hand high vs low functioning is a false dichotomy, on the other hand someone who was has severe difficulty communicating and motor disabilities has obviously had very different experiences from someone who found out later in life and can mask

#the special ed vs burnt out gifted kid fighting especially....#feels weird because i was diagnosed early and was in some... idk... special ed lite classes during elementary school?#and my experience was mostly positive there. in retrospect they were probably trying to teach me social skills #but i was in kindergarten so i mostly remember being taken to a room that had a box full of sequins and animal erasers for me to sort #regular classroom was much worse #i was a social outcast for most of elementary and middle school and was bullied heavily #but many other autistic peoples' experience with special ed is like. physical abuse and dehumanization by faculty.#which is not remotely equivalent to baby jay eraser room #no reblogs because i don't want to argue with randos today

This town reallt produces some lynchian interactions. The ONE time my ex girlfriend ever went grocery shopping because I was too sick to she was standing in the yogurt aisle and apparently some guy walked up to her and (somewhat angrily) pointed to the yogurt and said “do you know what that is?!” And she said “yogurt?” And he visibly calmed down and said “oh ok” and then just left

#when I was walking home at like 1 am some rando asked me if I had seen any zombies that night but it didn’t land well as a joke #so it just came off as like weird and vaguely threatening #no joke about that being the only time in her life she ever bought groceries btw

What is the author's perspective on the most challenging parts of writing a story, and what advice do they offer to writers struggling with different phases of storytelling?

Okay I'm going to be real with you, the syntax of this ask was weird enough I went to your blog to try to see what your deal is and whether you're a chatbot.

Your blog turned out to be about two weeks old and consist largely of reblogs from one person. (@cy-cyborg and sideblogs thereof.) Your blog header and all your (few but voluminous) original posts read like they were composed by a chatbot trying to somehow sell the concept of reading?? books????? Cozy book times??? The experience of following your blog as an extension of the pleasure of reading books?? The literary aesthetic?

But while you have the chirpy redundant sentence structure of a machine learning algorithm and a habit of falling into the customer-service-plural-first, you don't actually descend into nonsense at any point I noticed, rendering those posts ambiguously human in the same way as the average recipe blog. Also you commit flagrant instagram-style tag spam.

I'd have blocked and ignored and possibly reported you as a spambot, except on some of your reblogs-with-commentary you turn into a normal human person who lives in Australia, so I kinda threw up my hands. Maybe you have blood idk.

I have no idea what the point and/or goal of your blog is. Altogether baffling.

Anyway I definitely don't speak for some collective hivemind of authors and this question is way too vague for me to do much with. If I didn't suspect it of coming from a robot I'd have put in some effort to engage meaningfully, but trying to figure out what manner of entity was farming me for content used up all the spoons I had available.
