hey so, owl house tumblr, i think i might get back into writing fic now that its over? i have 3 concepts and i need like. which one should i do 1: Luz and the gang explore the rest of the Titan 2: Lilith studies the underwater environments of the boiling isles with glyph suits from kings newfound magical powers 3: A new gang of kids do shenaniganery in Eda’s new school. Including Braxas that little demon kid amity read books to? 4: raedamila ship fic, Eda and Camila adjusting to each other as both being luz's mother, getting to know each other and their respective realms, and raine. Also being there and being a supportive partner 5 maybe: vee and masha ship fic? tell me if any of these sound like cool ideas! ill probably do multiple after i finish one, and ill post again when ive got the fic up and pin that post. again this is all just speculation because i have kinda bad self esteem and im not great at committing to, finishing, starting, or in any other way interacting with projects, but from this list are there any you want to see?

Hey! It's December the 1st, so it's time for an Advent Calendar! With drabbles, short stuff, all that. I might post here too, but I’m not sure I’ll have the time so it will mainly be on ao3.

Mostly Raeda, but maybe other relationships too.

First chocolate under the cut!

Relationships: Raine/Eda/Camila, Luz

5PM (That time of the year)

Stark night by the time school ends. They put lights in the streets and a decorated tree on Alfus Square. She’s waiting with her hands in her pockets and a weird feeling in her guts. Children walking out, running and screaming.

Holding their parents. Families.

She grimaces. She’s not bitter. It’s just too much for her. Especially this time of the year.

Eda likes the summer better. She’s not so much into Christmas carols and presents and baby Jesus. She’s not that much into children, either. So what the hell is she doing here?

She gathers herself, takes a long breath before walking in.

And sure, she’s here.

Smiling at a book, eyes wide, oblivious of the two pairs of eyes on her. “Luz, Eda’s here.”

She mumbles something, and Eda chuckles. She meets Raine’s eyes and they shake their head.

“I couldn’t get her off it, I’m sorry.”

They do look sorry. Sincerely so, and she offers them an unimpressed shrug. “Meh, she gets like that.” She looks at the kid over Raine’s shoulders, and they follow their glance. Luz will let go of her book at the end of the chapter. Just a few minutes. It’s warm enough in the classroom. She rests on one of the desks, ready to wait some more. It’s not like Camila is home. She watches over Luz, needlessly for she is so absorbed in her reading, but it gives Raine the freedom to gather their things, to order their desk. “Actually, I’m glad we have a moment.”

They put they satchel on their shoulder. Gosh they look like a teacher. She never thought she liked teachers. “Is something the matter?”

“Um, yeah. Camila wanted to invite you for dinner.”

“Oh.” She pinches her lips, popping them slowly. “When?”

“Friday? Or, uh, any time that would work. Well, not Monday because she always works late but. Yeah.” She glances at Luz again. At the book. Eda has seen her read it so many times, she knows where she is. A page and a half. And she’s starting to be a real fast reader. Good.

“Is the invite from Camila or from Camila and you?”

They put on their gloves, and she pinches her lips again. “Who knows?”

She’s not sure where this is going. So she lets the ambiguity fly. Just for now. They step closer. Not close enough that it would be improper, but it’s not really casual anymore. They’re at the border of her personal space. “Sure. I’d love to. Should I bring wine? Or desert?”

You can bring wine and be desert, is an easy line on her lips, but she doesn’t want to say this. “I’ll ask Camila.”

“I see. Well what do you bring?”

“My sass, my class, my awkward flirting. Hopefully you.”

They squint at her. She doesn’t know what they’re looking for in her eyes. She hopes they find what they want, she doesn’t look away. There’s a bullet on her hip and she jolts up. “Ugh! The parallel arms again!”

“I’m done! We can go! Goodbye Raine!”

Eda rolls her eyes, bending down to adjust Luz’s scarf. She’d catch a cold so easily. “Close your coat, kid. And, uh, see you Friday?”

“Yes. Thank you, Edalyn.”

She walks out with a promise in her heart, with a bubble in her chest. Luz’s hand is warm in hers. “Can we go see the lights?”

It’s a small detour on the way to the Noceda house, and Eda nods. Maybe they’ll have hot chocolate. The streets are freezing, and of course she doesn’t seem to care. The Christmas lights, reflected in her eyes, are suddenly bearable. Suddenly enjoyable. Eda thinks, they probably look like a family, too. She sighs at her thoughts, at the softness of her mood. Yes.

It’s that time of the year again.

Willuz: I do like this one, but I feel like it wouldn’t really give me a lot of joy personally. I can see it working (they have a good friendship dynamic, which is what I love in Lunter too), and I feel like if TOH was put in real life, this would probably be the one most likely to happen. 6.5/10 I think

Huntlow: Honestly, I feel like this one is just meh. The only way I could see it work out would be if Hunter goes to Hexside and he defends Willow from Boscha. But I feel like being friends with Hunter would require a lot of work because trauma, and Willow doesn’t seem as persistent as Luz when it comes to redeeming bad guys. But I’d still enjoy it. 6/10

Willuzter: I think you already know how I feel about Lunter, and I just rated the last two. Tbh, i think the dynamic for Luz and Willow or Hunter and Willow is so much more entertaining when you add in the third party. I enjoy this more than I thought I would. 7.5/10

Amillow: I do enjoy this one, but to be honest… I don’t really enjoy Amity as a character. She always seemed a little bland to me. I’m not sure if my character analysis is skewed or if she’s just really overrated, or maybe it’s because the fandom paints her as “uwu soft flustered luzbian awesome girlfriend” when she’s just… not. But it still affects my view of her. Then again, I still do like the ship a little, and I do enjoy friends to enemies to lovers. 6/10.

Luzmira: I feel like Luz and Emira would be a good ship short-term, but not really long-term. They’d be great friends and have a lot of fun with everything they can pull off together, but I don’t see them as a good romantic couple. 4/10 romantically, 8/10 as friends.

Luzdric: Basically the same thing as Luzmira.

Luz/Skara: To be honest, I feel like we haven’t seen enough of Skara to see whether she has a good personality or will remain as a minion of Boscha. If she does leave Boscha’s group, maybe, but… for only the content given to us in the show of her, I can’t see it. Since we don’t see her personality yet, I don’t really have a rating for this pairing.

Luz/Viney: I feel like this could work, but like Willuz, I just don’t really get any joy from it. 7/10

Camileda: I feel like Camila would be overwhelmed by Eda in a bad way. She would feel like she’s too reckless and puts her daughter in danger, so I don’t think they’d get along, at the very least being extremely subtle rivals (trying to show that they can parent Luz better, maybe). 4/10.

Raidamela: Same as Camileda, really, but Camila would like Raine more because they have long plans about whatever they do, trying to make sure no one gets hurt. 4.5/10.
