One of the things about R and F’s relationship that bugs me is that Froy literally played a high schooler in Hocus Pocus 2. And he was believably a high schooler. Like it was not a Ben Platt in Dear Evan Hanson casting situation. He fit the part. But for Richard, who’s mid-30s, to date someone who could still pass as a high schooler is bit gross. I’m curious if you think Froy looks young and if this bothers you

Yes you hit the nail on the head there, but there's also more. He doesn't just *look* young: he *IS* young. If he was a thirtysomething with a baby face it wouldn't really be a problem, would it? But he isn't. He's 24, and when they got together he was 21.

Again it's about power dynamics and brain development — and the latter isn't a dig at him, by the way, it's literally science.

TL;DR: he was a child when they started dating. And he still kind of is now.
